ROYAL RUMBLE 2003
Official Theme Song: Incubus - "Pardon Me"

Fireworks exploded over the ring as XUW Royal Rumble 2003 opened up live on pay-per-view. “Mind Of A Souljah” by Bone Thugs-N-Harmony was playing over the arena speakers. Jim Ross said hello and welcome to the 2nd annual Royal Rumble here in XUW. Jim Ross said tonight three titles will be decided in addition to the highly-anticipated Royal Rumble match. Jerry Lawler said that’s right and this year’s Royal Rumble winner is going to need the “mind of a souljah” to get through 29 of XUW’s roughest and toughest. Jim Ross said we’re ready to jump into action right away here.

“Free Loaders” by Silkk began to play, drawing boos from the crowd. Jim Ross said what the hell’s this. Judge Jeff Jones then began to come walking down the aisle as the crowd booed. Jerry Lawler said all right, it’s the judge. Jim Ross said what does this no good son of a b*tch have to say. Jones then walked up the ring steps and entered the ring. Jones walked across the ring and snatched the mic from Howard Finkel.

Jones raised the mic to speak, but the crowd was booing him. Jones then raised the mic and said if you people would sit down and shut the F*** up, I have something to say. The crowd booed louder. Jones then said lately everybody’s coming up to me on the streets and asking, “Judge, Judge, has the Triple Threat fallen apart” and “Judge, Judge, what’s the situation like with you and Syxx and King Kong Bundy and Shane Douglas”. Jerry Lawler said yeah, what’s up with that. Jones said now I may be a man of solutions, but I don’t have the answers to all of these questions. Jones then said as far as me and Syxx goes, he’s a son of a b*tch. The crowd cheered that. Jones said now as for Douglas and Bundy, we may never have the answer to that question. Jones said the whole world saw Bundy try to pin Douglas at Armageddon, but that didn’t prove sh*t. Jones said nobody in that damn cell, much less that damn arena, was in their right mind that night. Jones then said the bottom line is we’re never going to know what Bundy’s intentions were on that fateful night. Jim Ross said what is he talking about. Jones said you see Bundy isn’t going to be in the Royal Rumble tonight. Jim Ross said why the hell not. Jones then said, “why” you ask? Jones said because King Kong Bundy is dead.

The crowd cheered upon hearing that. Jim Ross said what. Jerry Lawler said he’s dead? Jones then said what has the world come to when our commissioner will let a wrestler get thrown off the cell just so the fans can get a cheap thrill. Jones said Commissioner Show is a lousy commissioner who is doing nothing more than presenting hazards here in XUW. The crowd booed. Jim Ross said my God, I had no idea. Jones said so you see, in reality, the Triple Threat is dead, having died with Bundy. Jones said as for me, I’m through with this wrestling sh*t. Jones said I don’t want any more part of it, and I’m going home. Jones then threw the mic down as the crowd booed. Jones began to exit through the ropes.

“Ghetto Godzilla” by Magic suddenly began to play. Jones stopped on the ring apron and put his hands on his hips. Commissioner Show then came walking out into the aisle as the crowd cheered. Commissioner Show walked down the aisle, not bothering to high-five the fans. Commissioner Show had a distraught expression on his face. Commissioner Show then walked up the ring steps and entered the ring where Jones stood, his hands on his hips. Jones picked the mic up again.

Jones then pointed his finger at Commissioner Show’s chest and said you got a lot of guts coming out here after the stunt you pulled at Armageddon. Jones said because of you, King Kong Bundy is dead. The crowd booed as Commissioner Show put his hands on his hips. Jones then said it’s only right that you relinquish your position as XUW Commissioner right now. The crowd uttered low boos.

Commissioner Show suddenly snatched the mic away from Jones, drawing cheers. Commissioner Show said for once in your life, you’re right Judge Jeff Jones. Commissioner Show said he was a man of his word, and he had, in fact, said he would relinquish his position as XUW Commissioner if anyone died in the hell in a cell match. Commissioner Show said tonight I will relinquish that position. The crowd booed as Jerry Lawler said all right.

Commissioner Show then said there is one more thing, however. Commissioner Show said I have one more order to make before I resign. Jones put his hands on his hips. Commissioner Show then said if King Kong Bundy is dead, then that leaves a spot open in the Royal Rumble. The crowd cheered. Commissioner Show then said seeing as you’re always defending Bundy, you are going to enter the Royal Rumble in his place. The crowd started cheering as Jim Ross said oh my. Jones then grabbed the mic from Commissioner Show. Jones said hell, I’ll win the damn thing. Commissioner Show smiled and nodded his head. Jones said you think I’ll get killed out there, but I’ll get the last laugh when I’m standing across the ring from the XUW Champion at WrestleMania. The crowd booed. Commissioner Show then laughed and shook his head. Commissioner Show exited through the ropes to the floor as “Ghetto Godzilla” played.

The camera went backstage to show a limousine pull up. The driver quickly got out and ran around to open the back door. “The Million Dollar” Man Ted DiBiase suddenly emerged from the limo as the crowd booed. DiBiase then pulled on his shirt collar and threw his head back, laughing. I.R.S. got out of the limo behind DiBiase. I.R.S. said Royal Rumble 2003. DiBiase then said this is going to be his year, he can already tell. I.R.S. nodded and rubbed his hands together. Referee Tim White suddenly came running up to Money Inc. Tim White said Ted, you gotta come quick. DiBiase then pointed his finger in Tim White’s face and said never shout in my face. Tim White said sorry, but he’s out of control. DiBiase’s eyes got wide. DiBiase said where is he. Tim White then pointed down the hall and said follow me. Tim White went jogging down the hall, followed by Money Inc.

Perfect walked up the ring steps and entered the ring, followed by The Coach. Perfect then grabbed the mic from Howard Finkel. Jim Ross said well, apparently Mr. Perfect is going to address us. Jerry Lawler said he’s perfect, J.R.

Perfect said tonight he was out here to redeem himself for the most humiliating loss he’s ever suffered in his life. The crowd cheered. Perfect then said Gillberg sure talks a lot, but he sure can’t back it up in the ring. J.R. said oh please. Jim Ross said Gillberg is the most humble wrestler in XUW. Perfect said he has a right to believe Gillberg’s been using illegal steroids. The crowd booed. Perfect said Gillberg could try whatever he wanted, but he’ll never be as perfect as me. Perfect then said first I’m going to take care of Gillberg and win my belt back, and then I’m going to go through 29 other superstars and win the Royal Rumble. The crowd booed loudly. Perfect said thank you and handed the mic back to Howard Finkel.

“That’s The Way It Is” by Celine Dion began to play, and the crowd cheered. Gillberg came walking down the aisle, wearing the Television Championship title belt around his waist. Gillberg high-fived the fans in the aisle. Gillberg then rolled into the ring, and Mr. Perfect immediately began stomping on him.

Referee Teddy Long called for the bell to start the match. Perfect was down on his knees, choking Gillberg on the mat. Perfect gripped Gillberg around the head and slammed his head back into the mat several times. The crowd started to chant, “Gillbeeeeeeeeeeeeeerg, Gillbeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerg”. Perfect got up and shouted at the crowd. Perfect started choking Gillberg on the ropes. Teddy Long was shouting at Perfect to let Gillberg go. Perfect got in Teddy Long’s face and pointed his finger at him. Perfect shoved Teddy Long. Teddy Long suddenly shoved Perfect back, and the crowd cheered. The argument allowed the Coach to slap Gillberg while he was draped over the ropes. Perfect went over and set Gillberg up for the Perfect Plex, but Gillberg countered with a small package on Perfect for a near fall. Perfect quickly got to his feet and ran into a clothesline from Gillberg. The crowd cheered as Gillberg motioned for Perfect to get up. Perfect got up and Gillberg went for a second clothesline, but Perfect ducked. Perfect then countered with a falling neckbreaker on Gillberg. Perfect sat on the mat and pointed to his head, suggesting his intelligence. Perfect landed a leg drop on Gillberg. Perfect then dropped a second leg over Gillberg as the crowd grew restless. Perfect landed a third leg drop, but Gillberg quickly wrapped his legs around Perfect’s while they were on the mat. Gillberg then turned Perfect over in a Sharpshooter, shades of Summer Slam ’92. Perfect screamed as Teddy Long questioned him. The Coach quickly jumped up on the ring apron and distracted Teddy Long just as Perfect was tapping out to the Sharpshooter. J.R. shouted that Perfect was tapping dammit. Gillberg released the Sharpshooter and went over to confront the Coach. Perfect quickly rolled out of the ring. Perfect grabbed the Television title belt and rolled back into the ring. Gillberg turned around and ducked just as Perfect was swinging the title belt. Gillberg then ran the ropes and rebounded with the spear on Perfect to a huge pop. J.R. shouted, “Spear! Spear! Spear!” Gillberg pinned and Teddy Long started counting, but Perfect got his foot on the ropes to save himself. The Coach then slid into the ring as Perfect rolled under the ropes to the floor. The Coach went for a clothesline, but Gillberg ducked it. Gillberg then hit the Coach with the spear, as the crowd roared. Perfect reached under the ropes to grab Gillberg’s legs from behind, tripping Gillberg onto his face. Perfect then pulled Gillberg under the ropes to the floor. Perfect struck Gillberg with the title belt on the floor as the crowd booed. J.R. said what the hell. Teddy Long called for the bell, disqualifying Perfect. Gillberg was declared the winner and retained the Television Championship.

Perfect was pulling Gillberg to his feet on the floor as the bell was ringing. Perfect then threw Gillberg face first into the ring post. J.R. screamed come on now. The Coach grabbed a steel chair and folded it up. The Coach then held the chair up and motioned to Perfect. Perfect threw Gillberg face first into the chair held by the Coach. J.R. said this is nothing but a mugging here. Lawler said ain’t it great. Perfect walked over to the announcer’s table and pointed at J.R. Perfect asked if J.R. just saw what he did to Gillberg. J.R. said I saw it dammit. Perfect was breathing heavy and said this is just a preview of what’s to come. Perfect said he’s going to win the Royal Rumble and go on to WrestleMania. Teddy Long was checking on Gillberg as the Coach raised Perfect’s hand on the floor. The crowd booed Perfect and the Coach.

I.R.S. suddenly ran over to the floor and opened his gym bag. I.R.S. pulled out a syringe of something. I.R.S. made a move like he was going to rush Rhyno, but DiBiase quickly stopped him. DiBiase said wait a minute. I.R.S. said he’s gone nuts, Ted. DiBiase said he just thought of something. DiBiase said Rhyno here is our insurance policy. DiBiase exclaimed that Rhyno could eliminate everyone in the Rumble for them. I.R.S. scratched his chin and said he thought he saw Ted’s point. Tim White asked what they were supposed to do with Rhyno until Rumble time. DiBiase told Tim White to watch him and make sure he doesn’t do anything crazy like get arrested. Money Inc. walked out of the room, leaving Tim White with Rhyno, who was throwing plates at him. Tim White screamed ah, Jesus as the camera cut elsewhere.

The camera cut to Kevin Kelly, who was standing by with Rob Van Dam. Kevin Kelly said, Rob Van Dam, tonight you enter the Royal Rumble with 29 of XUW’s best. Van Dam asked if XUW even had 29 superstars. Kevin Kelly was silent a moment as he glanced at the camera, then turned back to Van Dam. Kevin Kelly asked if tonight would be Van Dam’s night and he would go on to WrestleMania. Van Dam said it depends what number he gets. Kevin Kelly thanked Van Dam and said back to ringside.

Judge Jeff Jones suddenly jumped the barricade as The Rock was covering Douglas. Before Earl Hebner could make the count, Jones rang the ring bell at the timekeeper’s table. The Rock, thinking he had won, rolled off of the cover, as Earl Hebner turned to see what the hell was going on. Earl Hebner leaned over the ropes and pointed at Jones, saying don’t be doin that. The Rock then rolled back into the ring. Earl Hebner was leaning over the ropes and yelling at Jones and didn’t see Douglas catch The Rock with a low blow as he was coming back in. The Rock was like ooooarghhhh and fell down. Douglas then scooped out The Rock’s legs and pinned him, placing his feet on the ropes for extra leverage. Earl Hebner dropped down and made the count, naming Douglas the winner.

The crowd booed. J.R. said dammit. Francine was helping to roll Douglas under the ropes to the floor. Jones was slowly recovering on the floor. The Rock was down in the ring, holding his groin. Jones and Francine then helped Douglas down the aisle, who was cringing and groaning in agony. Jones turned around and called The Rock a motherf*****. The three of them then limped out and disappeared backstage.

J.R. said you gotta believe Austin is the favorite going into this Royal Rumble. Lawler said that may be so, but there’s 29 other superstars who say he’s not gonna win. J.R. said screw the odds.

2003 Royal Rumble:

Howard Finkel was standing in the ring with a mic, and the crowd was chanting, “XUW, XUW, XUW”. Howard Finkel said it was time for the Royal Rumble, and the arena went nuts. Finkel started going over the rules, and the crowd booed because everyone knows the rules of the f*cking Royal Rumble. Finkel hadn’t even finished going over the rules when “Money, Money, Money” began to play over the speakers, and the crowd cheered, realizing a member of Money Inc. would enter the Royal Rumble first.

The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase came walking down the aisle as entry #1 in the 2003 Royal Rumble. Jim Ross said apparently Ted DiBiase is going to start this out. Jerry Lawler said he sensed a screwjob. DiBiase stopped before the ring and raised his hand for silence, producing a mic from his suit. The crowd quieted down and waited to hear what DiBiase had to say. DiBiase said he knew every one of these fans was glad to see that he “drew” #1 in the Royal Rumble. The crowd cheered, but DiBiase kept his hand up for silence. DiBiase said the fact of the matter is this. DiBiase said he’s not going to give the fans what they want and get in the ring and get beat up for an hour and a half on pay-per-view. J.R. said get in the damn ring. DiBiase said he wouldn’t enter the ring until his real number was called. J.R. said give me a break. The crowd booed as DiBiase dropped the mic and crossed his arms.

“Ooohhhweee” by Master P began to play, and the crowd rose to their feet as King Doink came running down the aisle as the #2 entry in the Royal Rumble. J.R. shouted it’s the King. DiBiase beckoned King Doink in the aisle. King Doink came running down the aisle and ducked a clothesline from DiBiase. King Doink then knocked DiBiase down in the aisle with an elbow to the head as the crowd roared. King Doink swung DiBiase around by his tights and threw him headfirst into the ring steps, causing the steps to break apart. King Doink cupped his hands around his mouth and screamed like Sting. King Doink then rolled DiBiase into the ring and the Royal Rumble was officially under way.

DiBiase crawled around the ring in an attempt to escape King Doink. King Doink grabbed DiBiase by his tights to stop him, revealing DiBiase’s bare ass on pay-per-view, and the fans loved it. King Doink then slammed DiBiase’s head into the corner 10 times, and the fans counted out each one. DiBiase staggered around into a dropkick from King Doink that sent DiBiase tumbling over the top ropes, yet he managed to grab the ropes and hang on before his feet could hit the floor. King Doink had turned around, raising his hands, thinking DiBiase was eliminated. DiBiase then tried to springboard back into the ring for an aerial maneuver, but he slipped on the ropes and fell onto his back on the mat hard. The fans ate it up with laughter. King Doink started to pull DiBiase to his feet, but DiBiase caught him with a low blow to the chagrin of the crowd.

“What’s Up, What’s Happening” by Soulja Slim began to play, and the crowd roared. In the next instant, Funaki came running down the aisle, wearing a backwards cap, as entry #3. DiBiase saw Funaki coming and motioned for him to bring it on. Funaki slid into the ring, and DiBiase went for a clothesline, but Funaki ducked. Funaki kept charging, but DiBiase sent him flying with a backbody drop; however, Funaki landed on his feet behind DiBiase. DiBiase turned around and charged Funaki, but King Doink hit him with a drop toehold that sent DiBiase’s throat into the ropes. Funaki then ran the ring and connected with the 619 on DiBiase to a huge pop. J.R. screamed, “who’s your daddy” and Lawler said what. King Doink mounted the top rope for the Whoopie Cushion on a staggering DiBiase. But DiBiase is cunning and pushed Funaki into the corner, crotching King Doink on the top rope. DiBiase then punched Funaki down from behind. DiBiase climbed the top rope, apparently looking for a superplex on King Doink. King Doink blocked it, however, and sent DiBiase crashing face first to the mat with a drop suplex. Funaki then climbed the top rope with King Doink. King Doink lifted Funaki in a drop suplex and sent him down in a splash onto DiBiase from the top rope. The crowd roared. Funaki and King Doink looked like they were making plans to throw DiBiase out of the ring when suddenly the lights went out.

The crowd booed that, assuming it was a power failure. Jim Ross said what the hell. Suddenly, there was an explosion of fireworks at the entrance. “Any Way You Want It” by Journey began to play, and the lights came back on, revealing none other than Chris Jericho with his arms spread to the sides and his back facing the audience. Jericho was entering at #4. J.R. said it’s Chris Jericho. J.R. said didn’t he quit just last year. J.R. said that sorry son of a, but Lawler said ah ah ah to stop J.R. Jericho had a mic and said welcome to the Royal Rumble is Jericho, and the crowd booed him damn near out of the building. Meanwhile King Doink and Funaki watched from the ring, their hands on their hips. The camera switched to show DiBiase crawling under the ring, but J.R. was too pissed off about Jericho’s entrance to notice him.

Jericho walked down to the ring and started taunting King Doink and Funaki, who were suggesting Jericho enter the ring and bring it. Jericho started to go up the ring steps but changed his mind and walked back down to the floor. Jericho walked around the ring for a whole minute, talking about how great he is, and the crowd started to grow restless. Jericho started to get up on the ring apron as the rumble clock was counting down the last 10 seconds before the next entry.

Jerry Lawler stood up at the announcer’s table, and J.R. said where the hell are you going. Lawler said he had some unfinished business with the clown. Lawler was entering at #5. King Doink and Funaki turned to face Lawler, who was making his way up the ring steps. Jericho finally slid into the ring while their backs were turned. Jericho charged and hit a double bulldog on Funaki and King Doink, as the crowd booed. Jericho made the sign that he was going to throw Funaki out of the ring. Jericho came for Funaki, but Funaki kicked him in the gut. Funaki then charged and threw himself into Jericho, causing them both to tumble through the ropes to the floor.

Lawler had entered the ring and was stomping on King Doink. Jericho threw Funaki headfirst into the ring steps, prompting the crowd to chant “holy sh*t”. Lawler then leaned over the ropes and called to Jericho. Jericho walked over to the timekeeper’s table and grabbed a steel chair. Jericho then threw the chair to Lawler in the ring. Lawler waited as King Doink slowly got to his feet. Lawler then stuck King Doink over the head with the chair. King Doink was down, his forehead lacerated from the chair shot. Lawler then sealed the deal by hurling King Doink over the top rope to eliminate him from the Royal Rumble first.

The clock ticked down, and it was time for the #6 entry as officials helped King Doink down the aisle, holding his shoulder. Earthquake came out as #6, and the fans cheered. Earthquake jogged down the aisle. In the ring, Lawler was holding Funaki on his knees for Jericho to take free shots at him. Jericho called Funaki a son of a b**** and said I’m the King of the World. Earthquake then slid into the ring, and Lawler immediately fled, sliding under the ropes to the floor.

Jericho turned and got knocked down by the oncoming Earthquake. Jericho kept getting up and running right into clotheslines from Earthquake as the crowd cheered. Earthquake then ran Jericho across the ring and hurled him over the top rope, but Jericho managed to grab the ropes and hang on before his feet could touch the floor. Lawler then slid into the ring from the other side and took a shot at Earthquake from behind. Earthquake turned around, and Lawler put his hands up, giving Jericho time to climb the top rope. Lawler then pointed for Earthquake to look. Earthquake turned and ate a missile dropkick from Jericho off the top rope. Jericho and Lawler high-fived each other. Jericho and Lawler returned to beating Funaki down in the corner. Earthquake then came in for a splash, but Jericho and Lawler moved, and Earthquake sandwiched Funaki in the corner. The crowd chanted, “holy sh*t” for that. Lawler and Jericho took shots at Earthquake. They then whipped Earthquake into the ropes, but Earthquake came back and clotheslined them both. Earthquake grabbed Lawler by the head and ran him across the ring, hurling Lawler clear over the top rope and onto the floor. Lawler was eliminated from the match.

Jericho then charged Earthquake from behind, but Earthquake elevated him over the ropes and onto Lawler on the floor with a backbody drop just as Lawler was getting to his feet. The bump earned Jericho some “holy sh*t” chants but not a trip to WrestleMania.

Triple H came out as the #7 entry, drawing loud boos from the crowd. Triple H walked down the aisle, looking real pissed off as Earthquake was checking on Funaki in the ring. Triple H quickly slid into the ring. Triple H then turned Earthquake around and kicked him in the gut. Triple H landed a Pedigree on Earthquake. Triple H then raised his hands, and the crowd treated him to a chorus of boos. Triple H started a futile attempt to dump Earthquake over the ropes, and the strain on his face told the whole story. Funaki suddenly sprang to life and looked around. Funaki ran across the ring and connected with a 619 on Triple H to save his buddy Earthquake from being dumped over the ropes, and boy did the crowd pop huge for it.

Lawler was helping Jericho up on the floor, but Jericho threw his hands up, brushing Lawler off of him. The camera caught Jericho saying something about hating this stupid federation. Jericho then walked around ringside to leave and knocked a kid’s sign down that was in his face, which read: S*CK IT DAVE or something similar to that. Lawler meanwhile made his way back to the announcer’s table.

Funaki was on top of Triple H, hammering away with punches while the clock was ticking down. Suddenly, “Smells Like Teen Spirit” by Nirvana began to play, and J.R. said what the hell. Lawler was just getting his headset on when none other than Diamond Dallas Page appeared in the aisle, wearing a leather jacket. Page made the sign for the Diamond Cutter in the aisle, and the fans didn’t even give him 10 seconds chance in XUW. He was booed from the very beginning. Page cut his diamond, and his f****** pyro went off, and frankly, no one gave a sh*t except J.R. who was protesting DDP’s entrance into the Royal Rumble. Lawler asked what J.R. was griping about. J.R. said we’ve already had two non-XUW superstars in this thing and pointed out that King had been helping one of them. Lawler said he was just making sure the clown didn’t win the Royal Rumble. Lawler said boy, what an embarrassment that would have been.

Meanwhile, Page had entered the ring and damn near took Funaki’s head off with a lariat. I say lariat because that’s what they call a f****** clothesline in WCW. A f****** lariat. Page was on top of Funaki, punching him over and over. Earthquake then kicked Page from behind to save Funaki. Triple H, in turn, attacked Earthquake. J.R. asked why Lawler felt he had any right to enter the Royal Rumble. Lawler said oh come on, J.R., and pointed out that J.R. had participated in last year’s rumble. J.R. didn’t say anything about that, and Lawler said that’s right, shaddup. J.R. instead switched the conversation to Triple H. J.R. asked why Triple H was even in there. Lawler said what do you mean. J.R. said even if he wins the damn thing, he can’t main event at WrestleMania. Jerry Lawler said what. Jerry Lawler said you need to stop playing favorites, J.R. Jim Ross said I’m stating facts dammit. Earthquake meanwhile reversed a whip on Triple H and ducked down, but Triple H hit him with the facebuster into the knee. Triple H then raced forward with all his power and clotheslined Earthquake over the ropes to the floor. The crowd even chanted, “holy sh*t” for it. Earthquake was eliminated.

Earthquake stood on the floor and slapped his hands on the ring apron, clearly frustrated with himself. Earthquake then turned to leave when his foot kicked up the apron. Earthquake did a double take at the apron. Earthquake then reached under the apron and pulled DiBiase out, as the crowd cheered. DiBiase started to scramble as J.R. shouted that son of a b****. Earthquake pursued after DiBiase, who was running down the aisle by that point.

Spike Dudley came running down the aisle past DiBiase and Earthquake as entry #9. DiBiase disappeared backstage with Earthquake hot on his heels. Spike quickly slid into the ring and charged. Triple H saw him coming, however, and sidestepped him, hurling Spike over the ropes to the floor. The crowd went “oooh” as Spike had apparently taken a nasty fall. Lawler was laughing hysterically and announced that that had to be a record elimination time. J.R. said that’s not funny.

Page was holding Funaki for Triple H to take shots at him, pissing the crowd off. Lawler meanwhile kept showing replays of Spike getting thrown over the top rope and landing right on his face on the floor. Paramedics were helping Spike down the aisle as he was legitimately hurt after that one. J.R. said the price these wrestlers are willing to pay to main event WrestleMania is exhilarating. Lawler said I’ll tell you what’s exhilarating, watching this. Lawler kept showing the replay over and over until J.R. was pretty pissed off.

Everyone was pissed off as the beatdown on Funaki continued. Page leveled Funaki with a Diamond Cutter, and it damn near looked like it was over for Funaki until Gillberg came marching down the aisle as entry #10. Gillberg was twitching his head around, and J.R. suggested he had a concussion after what Mr. Perfect did to him no more than 2 hours ago. Gillberg then ran down the aisle and slid into the ring. Triple H immediately went for a clothesline, but Gillberg ducked it. Gillberg rebounded off the ropes and took Triple H off his feet with a spear that popped the crowd big time. J.R. was like “Oh my!” Gillberg then beckoned Page to come get his ass kicked. Page took a swing, and Gillberg ducked. Gillberg then hit Page with a Bubba Bomb. Lawler said some concussion. Gillberg prepared to dump Page over the ropes, but Triple H made the save, attacking Gillberg from behind. The crowd booed as the heels took advantage and proceeded to beat down Gillberg.

Test came walking down the aisle as #11, and the crowd continued what seemed like an ongoing boo. J.R. said he thought he remembered Test saying he would never wrestle again. Lawler pointed out that a trip to WrestleMania was on the line. Lawler said can you imagine a boxing exhibition between Test and the XUW Champion. J.R. said he’d rather watch paint dry. Test then rolled into the ring. Triple H and DDP turned and looked at Test. Test then joined the heels in stomping Funaki and Gillberg as the crowd continued booing. Page then said to get that piece of sh*t up, referring to Funaki. Triple H pulled Funaki to his feet and motioned for Test to take the son of a b**** out. Test then backed up. Test went for the Big Boot, but Funaki escaped by kicking back in a low blow on Triple H and moving in time for Test to strike Triple H instead, knocking Triple H over the ropes to the floor and eliminating him.

The crowd roared as Triple H hit the floor. Test put his hands on his head, his eyes wide. Page then turned Test around and asked what the f*** he was doing. Test responded by shoving Page. Funaki then ran the ropes and went for a cross body on both Test and Page, but they caught him. Test and Page hurled Funaki over their heads and to the floor with a double fallaway slam, and that was it for Funaki.

Triple H grabbed Funaki on the floor and whipped him into the ring steps as the crowd booed. Triple H then mounted Funaki and punched at his head on the floor. The officials at ringside tried to stop Triple H. Triple H then walked over to the announcer’s table and slammed his hands on it. J.R. told Triple H to get out of here. Triple H then jumped at the announcer’s table, grabbing at J.R. and knocking his headset off. The officials restrained Triple H as J.R. stood up, yelling at Triple H. The officials then pulled Triple H back as he pointed and hollered at J.R. Triple H finally gave in and went with the officials as they guided him down the aisle. J.R. could be heard, saying, “son of a b****” about Triple H. Triple H removed his arm pads in the aisle and hurled them out at the crowd. The crowd was booing Triple H as he was escorted out. Other officials were checking on Funaki at ringside.

“Raise Up" by Petey Pablo began to play, and everyone waited to see who was coming out. Moments later, Matt Hardy made his return to XUW, coming down the aisle, carrying a water bottle as entry #12 in the Royal Rumble. J.R. started complaining again, pointing out that Matt walked out on XUW half a year ago. Triple H was still being guided down the aisle, as Matt was coming down. Matt mocked Triple H by waving to him. Triple H then grabbed Matt by the shirt with both hands. Matt put his hands up to stop Triple H. Matt then spat his drink in Triple H’s face. Triple H responded by whirling Matt into the guardrail in the aisle, and Matt went down. Triple H then pounded on Matt, who was sinking to the floor and covering up. The officials quickly restrained Triple H before he killed Matt on pay-per-view. The crowd was cheering for what Triple H did, but it didn’t matter because he was escorted out moments later.

Officials checked on Matt on the floor, asking if he could compete in the rumble or not. Test and Page were stomping on Gillberg. Test then turned and took a cheap shot on Page out of nowhere, and the crowd actually liked it. Test tried dumping Page over the ropes, but Page was punching at him and hanging on. Matt finally rolled into the ring and attacked Test from behind to save Page, drawing boos from the crowd. Matt and Page were working Test over with punches. Then it looked like Matt and Page would dump Test over the ropes when Gillberg came out of nowhere and attacked Matt from behind. Test reversed a whip on Page and connected with the Big Boot to Page’s cranium. Gillberg dropped Matt with a thrust kick. Test then raised his hand to high-five Gillberg. Gillberg raised his hand to accept it, but Test clotheslined him over the top rope instead, drawing huge boos from the crowd. Gillberg was eliminated.

J.R. asked what kind of a human being Test is as Test had returned to attempting to dump Page over the ropes. Before Lawler could answer, the clock ran down, and it was time for the #13 entry. Mr. Perfect came walking down the aisle, drawing boos. Lawler said all right, it’s my boy. Perfect had a mic with him and said to cut his music. Perfect was about to speak when the crowd erupted in cheers. The camera went to focus on the crowd, where DiBiase was running, pursued by Earthquake. Perfect was pissed off to say the least because the crowd was focused on DiBiase and Earthquake instead of him. He didn’t have time to talk, however, because the encounter lasted pretty long, and the rumble clock was running down fast.

“Money, Money, Money” began to play, and the crowd booed as I.R.S. came walking down the aisle as #14 in the Royal Rumble this year. I.R.S. approached Perfect in the aisle. Perfect then asked what I.R.S. was doing. I.R.S. said he was going to WrestleMania. Perfect then shoved I.R.S. in the aisle, and the crowd cheered. I.R.S. responded by laying Perfect out with a right hand on the floor. I.R.S. then made a move for the ring, but Perfect grabbed his foot to stop him. I.R.S. was reaching for the ring, but Perfect had him by the foot. In the ring, Matt attacked Test from behind to save Page. Matt and Page then slid out of the ring and began attacking I.R.S. on the floor. Perfect then got up and rolled into the ring. Matt and Page rolled I.R.S. into the ring. Matt and Page then slid back into the ring and went for a double clothesline, but I.R.S. ducked it. I.R.S. rebounded and connected with a double Write Off on DDP and Matt. Perfect then blindsided I.R.S., and the numbers game began to take over. Test was down in the corner, either legitimately injured or faking it, but you never can tell with people like Test. The crowd was booing, yet oddly enough there were no faces in the ring. It was a contest between heels at this point, playing “can you top this”.

The crowd was booing as DDP, Matt, and Perfect laid the boots to I.R.S. The buzzer sounded, surprising everyone because most of the fans had given up on counting it down. Moments later, Rhyno came running out into the aisle as entry #15, wearing his wrestling gear, but obviously not completely dressed as one of his straps was down. Tim White came running out, apparently chasing after Rhyno, but he couldn’t keep up. The crowd actually cheered upon seeing him. Rhyno quickly slid into the ring.

Perfect left the beatdown scene and swung at Rhyno, but Rhyno ducked. Rhyno rebounded off the ropes and took Perfect clear off his feet with the Gore, and the crowd popped huge. J.R. screamed oh my. Rhyno then charged and clotheslined Perfect over the ropes to the floor, eliminating him from the rumble.

Perfect landed on the floor next to Tim White, who screamed sh*t. DDP and Matt attacked Rhyno from behind, hoping to avenge Mr. Perfect. DDP and Matt waited until they seemed to have the advantage and went to throw Rhyno out of the ring, but Rhyno put on the breaks by grabbing the ropes. Rhyno then hurled both DDP and Matt over the ropes and to the floor as the crowd roared.

J.R. shouted that Rhyno was unloading here at the Royal Rumble. Test meanwhile had recovered and attacked Rhyno from behind. Test was throwing his fist down over Rhyno’s back several times. Test then whipped Rhyno into the ropes and went for the Big Boot, but Rhyno ducked it and came back off the ropes with the Gore on Test, popping the crowd once again. Test grabbed his stomach and rolled around, screaming. I.R.S. had slowly gotten to his feet. Rhyno turned and saw him. Rhyno then went for the Gore, but I.R.S. dropped down and rolled under the ropes, causing Rhyno to run headfirst into the turnbuckle.

During the melee, Typhoon had made his approach to the ring as #16, the first face in a long time, but no one seemed to notice. Typhoon began to climb onto the ring apron, but Tim White grabbed his foot to stop him for no apparent reason. Typhoon used his huge boot to knock Tim White down on the floor. Typhoon then stepped over the ropes and into the ring. Typhoon walked towards Rhyno, who was holding his head and staggering about. I.R.S. suddenly slid into the ring behind Typhoon and leapt onto his back, applying a sleeper hold. Typhoon escaped by running I.R.S. back into the corner. Typhoon then charged across the ring and clotheslined Rhyno. Typhoon slapped his asscheeks. Typhoon then ran across the ring and hit a rear splash on I.R.S. in the corner. I.R.S. slumped in the corner, his glasses messed up. Tim White then leapt onto the apron. Typhoon took a swing at Tim White, but he ducked. Tim White then brought Typhoon’s neck down on the ropes, hanging him up. Rhyno exploded forward, clotheslining Typhoon so hard they both spilled over the ropes to the floor. Typhoon and Rhyno were eliminated from the kamikaze maneuver.

Rhyno and Typhoon collected themselves on the floor. Tim White was trying to help Rhyno up, but Rhyno pushed Tim White away. Typhoon slumped up against the barricade, cringing. Rhyno then charged and blasted Typhoon with a Gore that sent them both through the barricade and into the crowd. The crowd chanted, “holy sh*t” several times, as J.R. screamed sweet Jesus. Lawler said did you see that.

Tim White helped Rhyno up, and they began moving down the aisle to leave as officials checked on Typhoon in the crowd beside the destroyed barricade. Test and I.R.S. remained in the ring with I.R.S. slumped in the corner and Test down, his arms covering his stomach. A lot of time passed where they were both down, and the crowd was getting somewhat restless. The clock ticked down, and the crowd counted this time, hoping it would be a celebrated top face.

Fire exploded at the entrance, and Kane came walking down the aisle as entry #17, drawing a decent amount of cheers from the bored crowd. Kane stepped over the ropes and into the ring where Test was getting on his feet. Test immediately took a swing at Kane, but Kane blocked it and grabbed Test by the throat. Kane then hit Test with a chokeslam, and the crowd cheered. Kane pulled Test to his feet by his long hair. Kane then lifted Test in a military press, and J.R. shouted do it, hoping to see Test get eliminated. Kane walked around with Test raised in the air, ready to throw him out right there, when suddenly I.R.S. dove and clipped Kane’s leg out from behind, causing Kane to drop Test. The crowd booed the tactics of I.R.S. I.R.S. went to work on Kane’s leg, dropping an elbow on it several times. I.R.S. shouted at the booing crowd to shut up. Test started to recover, and in minutes, joined I.R.S. in stomping Kane.

“Walkin On The Sun” by Smash Mouth began to play, and the crowd booed, but just because of the music, because no one had any idea who was coming out. Kevin Kelly then came walking down the aisle to a mixed reaction as entry #18. Lawler laughed and said look at this. Test and I.R.S. continued to stomp Kane as Kevin Kelly reached the ring and walked up the ring steps. Kevin Kelly cautiously entered the ring. Kevin Kelly then raised his hands in an axe handle, but Test turned around and saw him. Test grabbed Kevin Kelly by the shirt with both hands. Test said what are you gonna do, Kevin. Test asked Kevin Kelly if he was going to be the hero. Test then said what’s it gonna be, Kevin. Test let go of Kevin Kelly and even offered Kevin Kelly the chance to punch him right there on pay-per-view. Kevin Kelly looked around. Kevin Kelly then showed his true colors by stomping Kane, prompting a three on one beatdown on the Big Red Machine.

After what seemed like an eternity beatdown, Test announced it was time to throw Kane out. I.R.S. and Kevin Kelly got Kane to his feet. I.R.S., Kevin Kelly, and Test all began in an effort to dump Kane over the ropes, but they couldn’t quite get him. Kane suddenly threw his arms up, throwing I.R.S., Kevin Kelly, and Test to the mat. Kane then charged forward and clotheslined Test. Kane punched I.R.S. down. Kevin Kelly then hit a low blow on Kane from behind, causing the crowd to boo. Suddenly, Michael Cole came running down the aisle, but it was a whole minute early if he was the next entry. Michael Cole climbed onto the ring apron. Kevin Kelly then came over and took a swing at Michael Cole, but Cole struck first, throwing powder into Kevin Kelly’s eyes. Michael Cole then hopped down from the apron as the crowd chanted, “XUW, XUW, XUW”.

Kevin Kelly turned around, and Kane grabbed him by the throat. Kane finished Kevin Kelly off with a chokeslam, as the crowd cheered. Kane then picked Kevin Kelly up and ran him all the way across the ring before throwing him over the ropes to the floor, eliminating Kevin Kelly from the rumble. Michael Cole laughed and pointed from the aisle, before fleeing backstage. Kevin Kelly staggered around on the floor. Kevin Kelly then ran down the aisle to the back.

Rob Van Dam came walking down the aisle as entry #19 as Kevin Kelly raced by him. Van Dam was like “whoaaa, watch out, man”. Van Dam then came walking down the aisle, as the crowd cheered him. In the ring, Kane was getting ganged up on by Test and I.R.S. again as they pounded on his back. Van Dam then slid into the ring. I.R.S. turned around and ran right into a spinning sidekick from Van Dam. Van Dam then whipped Test into a big boot from Kane. Van Dam slapped Kane’s shoulder. Kane just looked at Van Dam. Van Dam then pointed to the top rope on two corners, and Kane nodded. Van Dam and Kane mounted separate corners of the ring. Kane then came off the top rope with a flying lariat on I.R.S. as Van Dam came off the top rope with a missile sidekick on Test. The crowd went wild at seeing the heels get their asses kicked. Van Dam then motioned that he was going for the Five Star Frogsplash. Van Dam ascended the top rope. Van Dam then came flying off the top rope, but Kane turned and caught him by the throat in mid-air, causing the crowd to boo. Kane hit Van Dam with a chokeslam in the center of the ring. Kane then brought his hand across his throat. Kane pulled Van Dam to his feet. Kane then hurled Van Dam over the ropes, but Van Dam managed to grab the ropes and land on the apron, with only one of his feet touching the floor. Kane had turned away, thinking he had eliminated Van Dam. Van Dam then pulled himself back onto the apron. Van Dam came back into the ring with a springboard sidekick to put Kane down on his back. Van Dam then ran the ropes and landed the Rolling Thunder on Kane to a big pop.

Judge Jeff Jones came walking down the aisle as the #20 entry, and the crowd booed upon seeing him. Jones removed his robe in the aisle to reveal a jersey that read #69 and on the back said “Jones”. Jones then sprinted down the aisle and did a smooth slide into the ring. Van Dam turned and fell into a clothesline from Jones. Jones then started hopping about to show how light on his feet he was. Kane sat up moments later behind Jones. Jones turned around and saw Kane and put his hands up in fear. Kane was about to murder Jones when Test and I.R.S. came from behind to assault Kane. Jones, Test, and I.R.S. then laid the boots to Kane and Van Dam. The crowd was booing loudly. Jones then leaned over the ropes and told the crowd to kiss his judicial ass, getting even more heel heat. I.R.S. and Test held Kane for Jones to take free shots at his masked face. Jones then rolled under the ropes to the floor and grabbed a steel chair. J.R. told Jones to put it down, but Jones flicked J.R. off right in his face. Jones rolled back into the ring with the chair. Jones then patted the chair on the mat while I.R.S. and Test held Kane. Jones smacked the chair over Kane’s masked face, and the crowd went “oooooooh”. Kane was down and out. Jones then stood over Kane, beckoning him to get up with one hand while I.R.S. and Test stomped a mudhole in Van Dam when the lights suddenly went out.

Moments later, The Undertaker came riding down the aisle on his motorcycle as entry #21 as the crowd roared in approval. Jones wielded the chair and he and Test and I.R.S. barked threats at The Undertaker while he rode around the ring. The Undertaker then parked his motorcycle at ringside. The Undertaker didn’t hesitate to get off his ride and walk up the ring steps. The Undertaker then entered the ring without a second thought.

I.R.S. pushed Jones forward, and The Undertaker raised his foot to boot the chair back into Jones’ face as the crowd cheered. Test then took a swing, but The Undertaker blocked. The Undertaker started to unload on Test with punches. I.R.S. picked up the chair as The Undertaker punched Test down with a right hand. Test rolled under the ropes to the floor. I.R.S. charged with the chair, but Van Dam intercepted him from the top rope with a missile dropkick into the chair, knocking it back into I.R.S.’ face. The crowd chanted, “XUW, XUW, XUW”. The Undertaker then pulled I.R.S. to his feet and shoved his head between his legs. The Undertaker lifted I.R.S. into the Last Ride as the crowd cheered and J.R. shouted hot damn. I.R.S. was laid out, his arms to his sides. Van Dam then ascended the top rope. Van Dam came flying off the top rope and landed the Five Star Frogsplash onto the prone I.R.S., totally eliminating him. Van Dam and The Undertaker then pulled I.R.S. to his feet and ran him across the ring, before depositing him over the ropes and onto the floor, eliminating I.R.S. from the Royal Rumble.

Jones and Test snuck back into the ring and attacked Van Dam and The Undertaker from behind. Test then picked up the chair. Test charged with the chair, but The Undertaker grabbed him by the throat to stop him. Test escaped by kicking The Undertaker in a low blow. Test then struck The Undertaker down with the chair. Jones stomped Van Dam down in the corner. Kane finally sat up, prompting the crowd to cheer. Test quickly silenced that by laying Kane out with a chair shot while he was sitting. Test raised the chair, and the crowd booed. Jones mounted the corner and raised his hands to the booing crowd.

Suddenly, The Rock came running down the aisle, drawing cheers from the crowd. The Rock then slid into the ring, but it was too early for the next entry, so the announcers figured he was just interfering like everyone else does. Test swung the chair, but The Rock ducked. The Rock then unloaded on Test with punches, causing Test to drop the chair. The Rock punched Test until he sank down into the corner. Jones then went for a clothesline from behind, but The Rock ducked. The Rock grabbed Jones by the head and ran him across the ring, before hurling Jones over the ropes and into the barricade. The crowd roared in approval. The Rock leaned over the ropes and talked smack to Jones. The Rock then rolled out of the ring and jogged back up the aisle.

“Music” by Madonna began to play as The Rock passed through the curtains at the entrance. Moments later, Michael Cole came walking out as entry #22. J.R. asked if he was the only commentator with enough sense to stay out of the Royal Rumble. Lawler said oh come on, J.R. Cole was getting booed as he walked down the aisle when suddenly Kevin Kelly came running out with a baseball bat from behind. Kevin Kelly then took Cole out with a shot from the baseball bat over the back of Cole’s leg, and the crowd cheered. The crowd chanted, “XUW, XUW, XUW” as Kevin Kelly stomped Michael Cole down in the aisle.

The crowd quickly lost interest in that and returned focus to the ring where The Undertaker was holding a chair in front of Test, who was down in the corner. Van Dam had ascended the top rope of the corner across the ring. J.R. asked what Van Dam was doing. Lawler said no, you’re too far away. Van Dam then leapt off the top rope and connected with a dropkick into the chair into Test’s face from all the way across the ring. The crowd chanted, “holy sh*t” a dozen times for that. Test crumpled to his side like he had just been shot.

Jones tried to climb back into the ring, but Earl Hebner stopped him. Earl Hebner waved his finger, no, and the crowd popped huge. Lawler screamed what. J.R. said apparently Jones has been eliminated. Lawler protested, saying The Rock wasn’t even in the match. Jones was protesting as well, screaming at Earl Hebner and grabbing him by the shirt. Earl Hebner said all he saw was Jones’ feet hit the floor, and he didn’t give a sh*t how it had transpired. Jones pushed Earl Hebner up against the apron. Earl Hebner responded by laying Jones out with a right hand right there on the floor. The officials were quickly there to separate Jones from Earl Hebner. Meanwhile, the other officials were attempting to separate Kevin Kelly from Michael Cole and completely missed seeing The Undertaker and Van Dam throw Test over the ropes to the floor.

While order was hastily trying to be restored, El Torito came walking down the aisle as entry #23, drawing cheers. El Torito walked by Kevin Kelly and Michael Cole, and it looked like Kevin Kelly had Cole in a dragon sleeper, but one can only be so sure. El Torito slid into the ring, and Teddy Long was the only referee in the whole f****** arena with the sense to wave his hands and order Michael Cole’s elimination, having never made it to the ring before the next entry. El Torito immediately started to kick at Kane, who had just recovered and was leaning against the corner, taking the shots like a p****. The Undertaker was leaning over the ropes and yelling at the officials, who had finally separated Jones and Hebner and were guiding Jones away. The Undertaker was pointing at the other side of the ring, telling the officials not to miss Test, who was now out. But Test, meanwhile, slid back into the ring behind Van Dam, who was standing around like he didn’t even know he was in the rumble. Test then shoved Van Dam from behind, knocking him into The Undertaker, and knocking The Undertaker over the ropes to the floor, eliminating him from the rumble at a disappointing #18 and with only one elimination. J.R. was pissed about that.

The Undertaker turned around on the floor as the crowd booed, his eyes wide. Test dropped down and slid under the ropes to the floor so that The Undertaker only saw Van Dam, standing there like an idiot, wondering what happened. The Undertaker quickly reached through the ropes and grabbed Van Dam by his leg, tripping him onto his back. The Undertaker jerked Van Dam’s leg, pulling him through the ropes and onto the floor. The Undertaker started punching Van Dam on the floor. The Undertaker then grabbed Van Dam by the throat. J.R. shouted don’t do this as Lawler laughed. The Undertaker then sent Van Dam through the announcer’s table with a chokeslam. J.R. jumped back and hollered hot damn, as we lost sound momentarily from technical difficulties. The crowd was cheering, most likely the bump and not because it was Van Dam who took it. The Undertaker jerked at a cable wire, pulling it out from a camera. The Undertaker then wrapped the cable wire around Van Dam’s neck from behind, choking him out. The Undertaker finally released Van Dam, dropping him in a heap on the floor. The Undertaker walked down the aisle with his hands on his hips, looking pissed off.

Syxx came walking down the aisle as entry #24, his hands raised and nodding his head. Lawler said it looked like Syxx was going to be the first wrestler to ever into the Royal Rumble under the influence. J.R. said knock it off, King. The Undertaker then rode down the aisle on his motorcycle, almost running over Syxx right there, but Syxx dove out of the way as the crowd cheered. The Undertaker then disappeared backstage. Syxx finally made it to the ring and rolled in. Test meanwhile was struggling to get Van Dam back into the ring, eager to take advantage and get an elimination. Test rolled Van Dam into the ring.

El Torito came towards Van Dam, but Kane threw his knee into El Torito’s gut to stop him. Kane then pulled Van Dam to his feet. Kane whirled Van Dam around by his tights, before hurling him over the top rope to the floor, eliminating Van Dam from the rumble. The crowd booed that sh*t out for quite a while. Test then slid into the ring and turned Kane around. Test shoved Kane hard and asked what the hell he was doing. Kane then dropped Test with an uppercut as the crowd cheered Kane again. Syxx entered the ring and kicked El Torito in the head from behind with a roundhouse, drawing boos for the cheap tactic. Syxx then proceeded to stomp El Torito and put the bad mouth on him at the same time.

The pitiful beatdowns continued until Chris Benoit came walking down the aisle as entry #25, but the crowd wasn’t prepared to accept him and gave Benoit no interest whatsoever. The Titan Tron suddenly came on behind him to reveal DiBiase running through some hallways backstage, pursued by Earthquake. The crowd cheered, but Earthquake was pretty far behind DiBiase as they had been running all night, making you wonder how DiBiase had not managed to lose Earthquake by that point. Answers were given, however, as DiBiase lost Earthquake as he ran around a corner. DiBiase then looked around, before heading into the women’s restroom. The crowd booed that, and Earthquake passed by, not bothering to check inside. Moments later, however, Commissioner Show emerged from the women’s restroom, his massive hand dragging DiBiase by the back of his neck. DiBiase’s eyes were wide as the crowd cheered. Commissioner Show was leading DiBiase down a hallway. J.R. shouted that DiBiase had been caught. Lawler screamed this is terrible.

Interest returned to the rumble as Benoit had entered the ring and went to work on El Torito. Test and Syxx were fighting now, and Kane was down in the corner, making everyone wonder how the hell he had been knocked down. In a weird moment, Test could be heard struggling with Syxx and saying “let me throw you out”. Test then threw his knee into Syxx’s gut. Test hurled Syxx over the top rope to the floor and sure enough, Syxx was eliminated from the rumble. J.R. tried to cover up the blatant error by talking about how poor of a human DiBiase is to hide in the women’s restroom during the Royal Rumble.

Commissioner Show emerged in the aisle, dragging DiBiase towards the ring, and the crowd erupted in cheers. Commissioner Show reached the ring and turned to DiBiase, screaming at him to get in there and earn it. Commissioner Show then rolled DiBiase into the ring as the crowd cheered. El Torito threw his head into Benoit’s gut to escape a beating. DiBiase was on his knees in the ring and put his hands up to El Torito. El Torito then charged across the ring and connected with the Shining Wizard on DiBiase to a huge pop. DiBiase crumpled facefirst onto the mat like he had been shot. Commissioner Show was retreating down the aisle, high-fiving the fans.

Raven made his entrance into the Royal Rumble at #26 to a thunderous ovation. Raven came walking down the aisle, very slowly. Raven then rolled into the ring so nonchalantly you had to wonder if he even cared about winning the damn thing. El Torito turned and offered his hand to Raven. Raven responded by kicking El Torito and laying him out with the Evenflow to a big pop. Benoit and Test took advantage to stomp on El Torito while he was down. Kane then gave Raven a shot. This whole segment looked incredibly sloppy on pay-per-view as people were basically just trading shots and no one was getting eliminated. DiBiase was still out from the shot he received from El Torito.

Marvelous Marvin Hagler made a surprise entry as he came walking down the aisle as entry #27 in the Royal Rumble. Lawler said what’s he doing here, J.R. J.R. exclaimed that Hagler had his eye on WrestleMania. Hagler jogged down the aisle and rolled into the ring. Test immediately fled under the ropes to the floor as Hagler pursued him, but ran into a clothesline from Kane instead. The ring was really full, and it was hard for anyone to do any moves, but Kane whipped Hagler to the ropes and went for a big boot, but Hagler ducked. Kane came at Hagler, but Hagler lifted him into a flapjack that saw Kane land on his face. Benoit was stomping El Torito down in the corner until Raven grabbed him from behind and lifted him into a backdrop suplex.

The glass hit, and Stone Cold Steve Austin came walking down the aisle as entry #28 to a huge pop. J.R. screamed oh hell yeah. Austin then broke into a run and clotheslined Test in the aisle. Austin whirled Test around by his tights and rolled him into the ring as the crowd cheered. Hagler leapt onto Test and started punching him to one of the biggest pops of the night. Kane then pulled Hagler off of Test to huge boos. Kane ran Hagler across the ring and threw him over the ropes, but Hagler grabbed the ropes and held on in an impressive move. Hagler then climbed the top rope. Kane turned around and got hit by a spinning back elbow from Hagler off the top rope to easily the biggest pop of the night so far. Austin had entered the ring and clotheslined Benoit down from behind to save El Torito. Austin then helped El Torito up from the corner. Austin suddenly kicked El Torito in the gut and laid him out with the Stone Cold Stunner, and the crowd went wild. DiBiase was slipping on some brass knuckles as he played possum on the mat. DiBiase then allowed Austin to pull him to his feet. DiBiase swung with the brass knuckles, but Austin ducked. Austin then hit DiBiase with the Stone Cold Stunner so hard that DiBiase flew over the ropes to the floor, earning elimination from the rumble.

The crowd was going wild and chanting, “Austin, Austin”. Test meanwhile hit a cheap shot on Hagler from behind to save Kane. Benoit went for a clothesline on Austin from behind, but Austin ducked. Austin then waited until Benoit rebounded off the ropes and hit him with the Lou Thesz press. Austin was unloading on Benoit with punches when the buzzer sounded, and La Parka came walking down the aisle, wielding a steel chair, as entry #29. La Parka appealed to the crowd, but got booed heavily. La Parka then saw his buddy, Benoit, in trouble and slid into the ring. La Parka slammed the chair over Austin’s back from behind, earning a negative reaction from the crowd. La Parka then dropped the chair. La Parka ran over and dumped El Torito over the ropes to the floor as he was recovering from the Stunner, and the crowd booed as El Torito was eliminated.

Raven came from behind and lifted La Parka into a backdrop suplex, crotching La Parka on the ropes instead. Raven backed up and charged La Parka for the assured elimination, but Benoit intercepted Raven with a fierce clothesline. Benoit then leapt onto Raven and applied the Crippler Crossface. Raven was about to submit when Austin came off the second rope with an elbow drop over the back of Benoit’s head. La Parka, meanwhile, fell back into the ring.

The buzzer sounded for the final entry into the Royal Rumble, and the crowd cheered. Everyone waited, but no one came out. The crowd started to boo, as J.R. asked what the hell was going on. Moments later, the Titan Tron came on and showed King Kong Bundy attacking Sergeant Slaughter. The crowd booed upon seeing this, and J.R. asked just what was going on. Bundy then threw Slaughter into a concrete wall, and Slaughter went down on the floor. Bundy turned and it looked like he was heading out towards the ring.

Moments later, Bundy came walking out into the aisle as the crowd booed. J.R. said apparently Sergeant Slaughter was supposed to be the #30 entry, but Bundy has taken his place. Lawler laughed and said this is gonna be great. Bundy climbed onto the apron and entered the ring. Bundy then charged across the ring and hit a shoulderblock on Raven, knocking Raven through the ropes to the floor. La Parka and Benoit attacked Bundy from behind with shots over the back. La Parka and Benoit then hit a double clothesline on Bundy, but it had no effect on the big man. They tried again, but Bundy grabbed them both by the throat. Bundy then shoved Benoit and La Parka back over the ropes, causing them to land on the floor and eliminating both in one fell swoop. The crowd loved that. Austin then stepped up to the plate, punching at Bundy and doing whatever he could. La Parka and Benoit got up on the floor, trying to collect themselves. Benoit then shoved La Parka, and La Parka spread his arms. Benoit walked down the aisle, followed by La Parka.

The crowd started to erupt where, on the other side of the ring, Hagler was unloading on Test with punches in the corner. Test was sinking in the ropes, but Hagler was relentless. Hagler then gave Test a right hook that sent Test sprawling through the ropes and the crowd was in an uproar. Kane hit an axe handle over Hagler’s back from behind. Kane then whipped Hagler into the ropes and ducked down, but Hagler put on the breaks and kicked Kane in the face. Hagler then ran the ropes and landed a picture perfect bulldog on Kane. A furious Test re-entered the ring and charged from behind, but Hagler sidestepped it and threw Test over the ropes to the floor, eliminating Test from the Royal Rumble.

The crowd was roaring as Austin was stomping a mudhole in Bundy down in the corner. Test was furious on the outside and had grabbed a steel chair. Test slammed the chair over the apron several times. Officials were holding Test back. Test then turned and pushed J.R.’s headset off. Test grabbed J.R. by the shirt and screamed that he was screwed. J.R. then slapped Test, and the crowd went wild. Officials restrained Test before he could do anything else to J.R. Test was taken down the aisle by the officials as the crowd chanted, “Na Na Na Na, Na Na Na Na, Oh hell yeah, goodbye”. Test was cursing as he disappeared backstage, surrounded by officials.

Hagler turned and fell into a big boot from Kane. Kane then pulled Hagler to his feet. Kane grabbed Hagler by the throat for a chokeslam, but Hagler kicked Kane’s knee to escape. Hagler went for a clothesline, but Kane ducked. Kane then charged, but Hagler backdropped him over the ropes, yet Kane someone managed to grab the ropes and land on the apron which is pretty f****** impressive for a man of Kane’s size. Hagler somehow had the wit to make sure of an elimination unlike the wide majority of wrestlers in the Royal Rumble who have been wrestling in these matches for years and should know to check, so Hagler charged forward and knocked Kane off the apron and into the barricade, eliminating him from the rumble.

Final Four: Raven, Marvelous Marvin Hagler, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and King Kong Bundy

All four wrestlers stood in separate corners. Raven pointed for him and Hagler to team up. Raven ran forward, and Austin threw his knee into Raven’s gut as the crowd cheered. Hagler was circling Bundy. Hagler and Bundy then locked up. Raven dropped down and gave Austin a low blow. Austin dropped down and rolled under the ropes, holding his crotch. Bundy pushed forward and ran Hagler back into the ropes, sending Hagler all the way over the ropes to the floor and eliminating him from the rumble.

The crowd booed heavily as Raven attacked Bundy from behind. Raven punched at Bundy, but it wasn’t taking much effect on Bundy. Raven then went for a big swing, but Bundy ducked and scooped Raven onto his shoulders in one motion. Bundy then took Raven out with an F-5 in the center of the ring, and the crowd went “ooooooooh”. Raven rolled under the ropes to the floor.

Austin then rolled into the ring with a chair. Bundy turned and fell into a chair shot from Austin, but Bundy remained on his feet. Austin dished out another chair shot on Bundy, but Bundy was still up, though wobbly. Austin delivered a third chair shot, but Bundy was still up. The crowd chanted, “holy sh*t” as Austin looked at the dented chair. Austin then dropped the chair and raced forward, clotheslining Bundy over the ropes so hard that he almost went over the top with him. Bundy’s feet hit the floor and he fell back against the barricade, moving it with his weight. Bundy was eliminated from the Royal Rumble.

Austin mounted the corner and raised his middle fingers, apparently thinking the rumble was over. Raven then snuck back into the ring. Raven raced forward, dumping Austin over the top rope from behind, and Austin fell to the floor. The bell rang as Raven had won the 2003 Royal Rumble.

The crowd was roaring as J.R. shouted that Raven was going to WrestleMania. Lawler shouted that Raven cheated. Austin was on the floor, sitting, his eyes wide. Austin then turned and saw Earl Hebner raising Raven’s hand in the ring. Austin quickly rolled back into the ring. Austin ran forward and kicked Raven in the stomach. Austin then hit Raven with the Stone Cold Stunner, and the crowd booed that. Austin paced around the ring, obviously frustrated. Austin then rolled under the ropes to the floor. Austin walked down the aisle, his hands on his hips. The show ended with Earl Hebner raising Raven’s hand while Raven was laying on his back.
