Opening Gambit

For years, people have always fought for the idea I have put up above. Yet, the more that we strive to make our ideas become a reality, the more difficult it seems for us to really capture it. Ironically enough, the idea of equality is something that we should not be shooting for. Let us explore this idea as we delve into the next chapter of The Opening Gambit.

(Gambit: Noun – A remark made to open or redirect a conversation.)

I cannot stress enough how much I am disgusted with the path the UBWF is currently on. The UBWF really does need to change its ways. Yet, the UBWF has a real big lesson to learn. That lesson seems to be the idea of equality. Just recently, The Suicide Machine announced the card for the next PPV the UBWF will have on June 16th. And, if you ask yours truly, The Suicide Machine needs to wake up and smell some of the coffee.

Over the last few months, the Youth Liberation has been screaming for the equality that they feel they deserve in the UBWF. Isn't that a strange turn of events? The Suicide Machine books a match with Pantero and The Man They Call Joe in a one on one bout. He makes it very clear that he likes neither of these wrestlers. Yet, both of these guys are considered members of the Youth Liberation. What the f*ck? What is wrong with this picture?

I can tell you what is wrong here. Most of the members of the Youth Liberation are missing the idea of respect. Instead, they are misleading the people in the UBWF offices into thinking that respect comes via championship belts. That is a damn shame, since a championship belt makes you a target that no one respects. This target gives people the idea that to be the best, you have to defeat the best. There is no respect in this, because being a champion now in this league gives more reason for people to hate you. The last time I checked, respect and hate are pretty close, if not exact, opposites of each other.

In order to gain the respect that the Youth Liberation wants, they need to stop this charade they are playing in the UBWF. You guys are good. And I have respect for your talent, Not your actions. And until you lose that concept, equality will be a dream the Old School guys will be more than happy to make sure those dreams will never come to fruition.

Finally, this message is for you Suicide Machine. I read your comments you recently said about me. All I can say is this, when I was wrestling, there was always an open contract for anyone to wrestle me at any PPV. You never wanted to wrestle me. I wonder why? Could it be that you were afraid of me? Or could it be that you realized that you were not up to my caliber of wrestling? (Being the fact that I am a brawler, and you are just a showpiece.) (By the way, I could and still would be able to take the punishment you could dish out. After all, l did have my fair share of high-risk type matches.) I think it is just the idea that you yourself realize that I have what you want. Respect. You could only achieve that by hoping and praying that I would leave the league. I have now, and I can see you have no idea what to do now.

You issued me a challenge? Forget it. I have no intentions with ever coming back into the UBWF. Retirement is bliss. However, if I did come back, may god have mercy on your soul. For I would show you what RESPECT AND EQUALITY IS ALL ABOUT!

Until Then…
