It’s sure as hell been a long time since you all last heard from me. Well, I’ve been busy. You see on March 15th, “The Titan” Mike Goldston grew a year older. And ever since then, I’ve been doing one of two things: Drinking, or whipping some ass. Jose Cuervo, Jack Daniels, Captain Morgan, and I have basked in the comfort of the south—a little Southern Comfort is good for anyone. But between waking up at 3 in the afternoon and going to bed at 7 in the morning, I’ve been doing some work. Basement Mania 2K2 is approaching, and that means I’ve been reviewing the tapes, checking them twice, seeing who’ll need a bucket of ice—Mike Goldston is coming to town!

All the legends have been talking about how this is the biggest event in the UBWF year; this is the origin of the UBWF—THIS IS what the UBWF is all about. Basement Mania separates the men from the boys…well if you want to separate the men from the boys, all you got to do is run them by the Dudley’s—if they like what they see, it’s a boy. A many people have been wondering if I got the stuff. Do I have the heart of Quiz? Am I as prepared and intelligent as the Geek? Do I have the tenacity of Pain? The fearless attitude of Grymmlock? Or am I all ego like Thunderbolt Mike Stryker? You damn right.

I’ve been asked if I have something to prove. Well, before I believed I did. But now I know, I have nothing to prove. It’s the people like Quiz who have something to prove. Can he kick my ass one on one? Is he hardcore enough? What about Dr. Death? He’s been champ multiple times. He has to prove that he hasn’t lost it, and that maybe he’s still good enough to beat some UBWF newbie like me. I don’t know the rules to the UBWF, and I don’t care to know them. But what I do know is that I’m under everyone’s skin—and there ain’t a damn thing that can be done about it. I’m a goddamn black plaque.

Now while everyone’s been maxing and relaxing in B’more, I’ve been around whipping some ass in NYC. And the question I suggest you all attempt to figure out is: Are you ready for Basement Mania? And secondly, are you ready to go hand to hand with the Bionic Blackman?

Less than two weeks remain before the big picture. Since The Jack Show, I’ve had about 20 matches. I sure as hell am ready, and from start to finish I’m gonna go out and make sure the question is answered. And furthermore, I’m gonna make sure there are no more questions asked.

And that’s all that needs to be said about that. Because I’m the Titan, and everybody else is just on the list!
