"Interview with an Angel"

An interview conducted by Sleepy Joe via telephone

Sleepy Joe: Hello Black Angel, how are you this evening?

Angel: Fine sleepy, and yourself?

S: Pretty damn ravishing. Anywho, I wanted to take this chance to interview you about the record that you recently set in the UBWF tag team division. First off, tell everyone a little bit about your tag history.

A: Well I've been lucky enough to win the Tag Team Championship as a member of Damage Inc. and the Dark Knights, and also with Dr. Death, Lord Fowlmuth, and the Suicide Machine.

S: Pretty impressive! Some wrestlers work their entire careers to win titles, and you win the tag titles with five different partners! And with some on more than one occasion! I guess you're the UBWF's own version of Buff Bagwell.

A: Except that I can wrestle!

S: Um...Yes. Are you all right Black Angel?

A: *cough* Of course. Continue...

S: Now that you mention it, some people don't think that you can wrestle anymore! This new "Good" Black Angel just doesn't seem to have his heart into hurting people.

A: Goodness gracious no! Why would I ever want to hurt people when I can help people! Why hit someone over the head with a chair when you could be out feeding the homeless, or petting cute little puppy dogs?!

S: Well that's just it. Some people seem to feel that it was your partners that really won the tag titles for you and that you just happened to be their partners at the time. Care to comment?

A: Well of course I was lucky to be blessed with partners as talented as...

S: Black Angel? Are you there? You were saying something about your partners?

A:Yeah, I was saying how I carried each and every one of those scrubs to greatness!!

S: Can I quote you on that?

A: You're damn right you can quote me on that!! Look at the tapes! Did I get pinned to lose the Tag Titles at Hostile Takeover? No, Fowlmuth did! I then got the pin to win them with the Suicide Machine, and he got pinned by the Ghetto Terrorists! I don't lose titles chief, I win 'em. Hell, I never did lose the World title, or get beat in a subsequent rematch! I'm about the best guy around, which is much less than I can say for any of my partners.

S: Sounds like you actually resent your partners quite a bit! Do you blame them for every time your team lost the titles?

A: Bosh! Flimshaw! Why would I blame them? If anything it was because I wasn't being a good enough partner and friend to them! These things happen though, I'm not worried about it!

S: So you're saying that things are looking up in the future.

A: I'm saying that everything will be fine if I can find a partner who comes equipped with some talent! Who is Lord Fowlmuth anyway? Seriously? And the Suicide Machine? The little punk with the N' Sync hair? He had the Old School's backing, but he wanted to go off on his own. If he's not careful, he may find himself in way over his head with no one to help him...

S: All right. What is next for the Black Angel?

A: More love and happiness, and fun with my friends. I love you guys. That and I'm just going to keep smiling!

S: All right, one more question. Do you see any more tag title reigns in the future?

A: I've been here since the beginning, and I'll be here at the end. I'm sure I'll have all the titles again before the Black Angel's day is done.

S: Just a hunch...let me ask the question again. Do you see any more tag title reigns in the future?

A: I suppose so! File it under good tings happening to good people, but somehow I keep winning titles! The World title, the Emperor tourney, the tag titles! I don't really know how it happens, but... I'll tell you how it happens...I'm in control... Huh?? What?? What's going on...
