THOUGHTS

First, let me start by saying that this is the best crop of talent we've ever had down in SMW and there are some definite future TWF prospects down here. This night was full of great pure wrestling and all in all was a heck of an effort by all involved.

I think the Island Boys are gonna be in the TWF someday, no question. They made clean, frequent tags against Constantino and The Prototype and they have a great chemistry together----awesome tandem.

As for other good tag teams, Kai en tai hasn't lost a step and they beat a game Evolution team. This team of Nova and Frankie Kazarian is one to keep your eye on.

Shannon Moore is one of my favorite prospects. I am a big proponent of lightheavyweights and I think he is one of the best I've seen. He easily handled Low-Ki, another good lightheavyweight, and put him away with a mind boggling hurracanrana from the top rope.

Mike Modest and Shelton Benjamin is a perfect example of good booking, something they do very well in SMW. This was a great contest that featured very few dull moments with Benjamin getting the best of him in the end. Both men could easily compete in the TWF tommorow.

Maven, the first ever Tough Enough winner, looked very good in his match with Mike Norton. He still has a long way to go but hard work is evident on his behalf.

Jerry Lynn and Randy Orton had the match of the night. Orton took a beating from the opening bell but showed tremendous resiliency, pulling it off in the end. Orton is a shoe in to be in the TWF in my opinion.

D'Lo Brown and Brock Lesnar was another fabolous match. Brown looks trimmed down and a lot quicker. But Lesnar is one of the most agile 300 pounders I've ever seen. Lesnar showed me a lot by kicking out of a top rope moonsault and putting D'Lo away moments later with a german suplex.

Ron Waterman has the look of a superstar but he needs to become a little more well rounded. He's one dimensional now and a much improved Mark Henry made him pay on this night. Waterman's gonna get his chance one day.

It was very easy to see why Damian Steele is known as The Real Deal. He dominated Viscera in the most one sided match of the night. This guy has a physique that'd compare to anyone and he's got the skills to go with it.

David Flair started his SMW career with a huge upset over Bull Buchanan. David resembles his father in some ways and that's nothin' but a compliment. The more this kid learns, the better he's gonna get and I truly believe the sky is the limit for him at only 21 years of age.

Make sure to check out my report after I attend the next SMW taping. The show is aired in Nashville and Louisville, Kentucky and if it resembles this night of action at all, it'll be a treat for many!
