THE WACHOVIA CENTER COMES INTO THE SHOT AND PYRO POUNDS OFF THE SET. THERE IS A LARGE VOLCANO ON THE SET, BEHIND THE ERUPTION LOGO, AND PYRO IS SPEWING OUT OF THE OPENING.
CAMERAS IN THE ARENA SHOW THE HELL IN A CELL STRUCTURE SUSPENDED ABOVE THE RING.
Michael Cole: "There are explosions everywhere here at Eruption! Thank you for joining us for this annual TWF pay-per-view and John, we've seen this event showcase some huge matches before, but do you ever remember a collection of matches this big at Eruption"?!
JBL: "No, I don't, Michael! The lights are on bright here in Philly and not only do we have the Gates of Hell tonight, but we also have the Hell in a Cell hanging above us right now"!
"REPEAT OFFENDER" BY TRAPT COMES ON AND GABRIEL CROSS COMES OUT TO A GOOD CHEER FROM THE FANS.
Cole: "Earlier in the day, it was announced that The Blood Brothers have selected the Hell in a Cell as the stipulation in which to challenge Shawn Michaels and Jordan Rockwell for the Tag Team titles"!
JBL: "I have always been a big fan of the Blood Brothers, but I have to question that decision. I mean, the Hell in a Cell may be the single most career shortening match in this business"!
KENNY DOANE's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT TO NOTHING BUT BOOS. HE HAS A SMUG LOOK ON HIS FACE AND THE LIGHTHEAVYWEIGHT TITLE AROUND HIS WAIST.
Cole: "Great opening contest here at Eruption..... Kenny Doane against the judo master, Gabriel Cross".
JBL: "You're right, Michael. When Gabriel Cross signed with the TWF, he wanted to take part in the mixed martial arts side of things, and possibly take on some of the UFC fighters in the octagon. But tonight is his shot at stardom in the ring, even though he is against one of the best young stars we have here on PrimeTime in Kenny Doane".
Cole: "Kenny Doane won the title just over a month ago from Carney, but this will be a challenge of a different sort".
TWF Lightheavyweight Title Match Challenger: Gabriel Cross vs. Kenny Doane The bell sounded and the cocky Doane approached Cross, who went right into a fighting stance. Trying to throw Cross off, Doane began to perform jumping jacks. But it didn't phase the disciplined Cross, as he waited for Doane to get done. After about 15 jumping jacks, Doane realized that he was just expending energy for nothing, and he threw a right hand, but Cross blocked it and came back with a backhand chop to the stomach followed by a deep arm drag. Doane popped up but went right into another arm drag, and Cross took that into a nice armbar. Cross tried to turn it into a fujiwara armbar, but Doane reached over with his free hand and grabbed the bottom rope. Referee Mickey Henson called for a break, and the two men got to their feet. They went into a collar and elbow tie and Doane rocked Cross with a european uppercut. After a stiff knifedge chop, Doane went for an irish whip but Cross reversed it. Doane was able to duck a swinging elbow, but Cross drilled him with a back kick right to the abdomen. From there, Cross hit a nice northern lights suplex which got him a 2 count. Doane had clearly been taken off his game, and Cross followed up the big move with a clothesline before pulling Doane up and backing him into the corner. Cross shot the champion to the other side and went for a yakuza kick, but Doane moved out of the way. Cross drilled the turnbuckle with his foot and Doane positioned himself behind him, hitting the "Doane-ation" out of nowhere. Doane made the cover and got a long 2 count before Henson pointed out the fact that Cross was able to get his left foot on the bottom ring rope. Doane felt that he had the challenger well in control and after a nice vertical suplex, he went to the top rope. Doane was probably looking for his flying leg drop, but Cross got to his feet. Doane flew off with a crossbody, but Cross moved out of the way. Doane slammed hard against the mat and Cross went for a spinning heel kick but he missed and Doane kicked him in the gut before hitting the ropes and catching him with a terrific flipping neckbreaker. Doane made the cover, hooking the leg, but Cross kicked out at 2. Doane nonchalantly picked Cross up, and Cross used a small package to nearly steal the match. A hotheaded Doane popped up but missed with a clothesline and Cross grabbed his arm, dropping to his knees and pulling his arm down over his shoulder. After a hard palm strike to the chest, Cross grabbed the arm of Doane and used an incredible judo style takedown. The crowd came to their feet as Cross went to the top rope, but Doane had enough left to get up and fall into the ropes, crocthing the challenger on the top turnbuckle. From there, Doane grabbed the Gi Cross was wearing and went to the middle turnbuckle. He then fell off backwards, pulling Cross down with him right onto his knees. It was a very unorthodox, but effective manuever, and Doane covered Cross for the 1....2.....3. Match Time: 6:07 Cole: "I don't even know what you'd call that move, but it was more than enough for Kenny Doane to remain the Lightheavyweight champion"! JBL: "That's called finding a way to win in a tough situation, and any kind of champion in any sport, needs to know how to do that! What a move by Kenny Doane"! MICKEY HENSON HANDED DOANE THE TITLE AND HE HELD IT UP AS HIS MUSIC PLAYED AND THE CROWD CHEERED BEFORE LEAVING THE RING. Cole: "Heck of an effort by Gabriel Cross, it just wasn't enough tonight". JBL: "Somebody needs to tell him to take that stupid karate gi off! It's like Royce Gracie in the UFC..... it becomes a hinderance"! Cole: "Well at one time, I can remember Royce Gracie being the most feared fighter in the UFC, John". JBL: "Yeah, at one time, but take a look at his fight against Matt Hughes and then say that he's feared"! BACKSTAGE AREA....... THE SHOT CUTS TO THE BACK WHERE MARIA IS STANDING BY WITH PJ CASH. Maria: "PJ, everyone has witnessed the head games you've been playing with High Octane recently, and...
PJ Cash: "Head games? Ha, Maria, if you knew me at all you would know PJ Cash doesn't play games. I'm all business, all the time. Now, as for Low Fuel... I mean, High Octane, he needs to realize that he just can't cut it anymore. For all the accolades and accomplishments he has under his belt, I'm just that much better. So Octane think about this, was the ride worth it? Because your career, much like your marketability, will come to a screeching halt... tonight". PJ CASH WALKS AWAY AS THE SHOT GOES TO SHANE McMAHON's OFFICE, WHERE HE IS ON THE PHONE. Shane McMahon: "Yes, I will be out there tonight, but you tell security that they better keep Hassan far away from me.... got it? JUST THEN, FINLAY WALKS IN. I gotta go. (Shane hangs up the phone) Ah, Finlay, you must be here to select your number for the Gates of Hell. Go ahead, draw one". FINLAY REACHES INTO A SMALL TUMBLER AND PULLS OUT A PLASTIC BUBBLE. HE OPENS IT UP, AND READS A SMALL PIECE OF PAPER. Finlay: "Number five". Shane: "Okay, since you aren't number one or two, that means you also get to select your own stipulation once you get to the ring". Finlay (laughs): "Well, I was thinking of taking my shillelagh, hanging it on a pole, and when I climb up and get it..... I become Universal champion". FINLAY WALKS AWAY AND SHANE RAISES HIS EYEBROWS, AS IF IMPRESSED WITH THE IDEA. BACK AT RINGSIDE, "DEFY YOU" BY OFFSPRING HITS AND THE FANS REACT WITH STRONG BOOS AS PJ CASH MAKES HIS WAY OUT. Cole: "A shillelagh on a pole"? JBL: "I think it's a brilliant idea, Michael! All Finlay will have to do to become Universal champion is get his shillelagh off a pole"! Cole: "Well all anyone in that match will have to do is get his shillelagh off a pole, but that will just be one way to win! The Gates of Hell is truly the most unique match in TWF history. But right now, we've got a situation that has gotten very personal". THE CROWD LOUDLY POPS AT THE SOUND OF A LOUD ENGINE REVVING UP. THAT LEADS INTO "DOWN WITH THE SICKNESS" BY DISTURBED AND HIGH OCTANE COMES OUT TO A WILD CHEER. JBL: "You're right, Michael, it has gotten personal. This is the classic young, up and comer against the once successful ring veteran". Cole: "How can you call High Octane once successful? Here's a guy who is a former three time World champion and in my mind, a future Hall of Famer"! JBL: "There is no doubt that High Octane has acheived monumental success here in the TWF. But times change, Michael, and you need to get with them! There's a new rising star, just look at the charts he showed last week on PrimeTime! His name is PJ Cash"! Cole: "Well in order for that star to keep rising, PJ Cash will have to knock off one of the most successful superstars the TWF has ever seen. Not too long ago, John, High Octane actually put his career on the line in somewhat of a wager with PJ Cash, getting the monkey known as Finlay off his back with a win". JBL: "High Octane did beat Finlay, and he saved himself from wrestling his last match that night, but I believe that PJ Cash is too focused, too ready to prove to the world just how far he's come"! Cole: "PJ Cash is nothing more than a young punk kid with a lot of money who wants to make a name for himself at the expense of what those before him have earned". JBL: "Is there something wrong with that? It's called good business". PJ Cash vs. "High Octane" Damion West The bell sounded and after a heated verbal exchange, Cash hit West with a cheap shot, a right hand to the face. High Octane shook it off and kicked Cash in the gut, shooting him to the ropes. High Octane missed with a clothesline but as Cash came off the other side, he landed a pinpoint dropkick. Eager to take out some frustration, Octane mounted Cash and pounded him with 7 or 8 hard right hands. Cash tried to pick himself up, but West slammed into him with a basement dropkick. High Octane pulled Cash to his feet but Cash was able to stop the early onslaught with a nasty jawbreaker. After a step up enziguri, Cash dropped a big knee right on Octane's forehead and went for a cover, only getting a 2 count. Cash pulled Octane up and threw him into the corner, belting him with 3 kicks to the body before just slapping him across the face. But this lit a fire inside West and he slapped Cash back before going for the "Head on Collision". Just in time, Cash was able to block it by grabbing his foot and he spun Octane around, looking for the "Cash Register". But that too was blocked and West threw him across the ring. After connecting on a big wheel kick, West went to the top rope and landed an unbelievable moonsault, hooking the leg for the 1........2.........., but Cash kicked out at about 2 and 7/8. Both men got to their feet and High Octane went back to the kicks before slapping the chest of Cash with a big knifedge. He then pulled Cash into a perfect snap suplex, floating into a cover but again, Cash was up at 2. High Octane whipped Cash to the far corner and flew in with a body splash but Cash moved out of the way and Octane landed right on the top turnbuckle. From there, Cash pulled him to the mat with a wicked DDT, rolling into a cover and this time, it was High Octane who got a shoulder up with a split second to spare. The crowd began to cheer, almost in appreciation for the great match they were seeing. Cash pulled Octane to his feet, but West flung Cash's arms out and landed 3 big right hands. He then went for an irish whip but Cash reversed it and kicked him hard in the gut. He then ran the ropes himself and caught West with a jumping knee that caught him right in the face. West fell back and hit the mat hard and at first glance, it looked like he may be out cold. Cash measured him, looking for a shining wizard, but West avoided the move and sprung to his feet, blasting Cash with the Head on Collision when he turned around. Cash fell back like a ton of bricks and Octane rolled him up in a cover as referee Charles Robinson's hand hit the mat 3 times to end the match. Match Time: 7:52 Cole: "There it is! What a shot! I wonder what that superkick is worth on the stock market, John"! JBL: "Oh would you get off the High Octane bandwagon, Michael! Cash made one mistake.... one mistake..... and it cost him"! "DOWN WITH THE SICKNESS" PLAYED AGAIN AND HIGH OCTANE WALKED UP THE RAMP, SLAPPING HANDS WITH SEVERAL FANS AS CHEERS POURED DOWN FROM ALL OVER THE ARENA. IN THE RING, CASH WAS BARELY MOVING, STILL FEELING THE EFFECTS OF THE BIG SUPERKICK. Cole: "I'll give the devil his due, PJ Cash wrestled a great match against a great superstar.... he just came up a little short"! JBL: "Don't worry about PJ Cash, this is just a small setback in what will be a very successful career"! BACKSTAGE..... SHANE McMAHON's OFFICE...... CAMERAS SHOW RANDY ORTON TALKING TO SHANE McMAHON IN HIS OFFICE. Shane McMahon: "So you're sure that's the stipulation you want to bring into the Gates of Hell"? Randy Orton: "Oh.... I'm sure". JUST THEN, EDGE WALKS IN AND REACHES INTO THE TUMBLER, PULLING OUT HIS NUMBER. Edge: "Not bad..... I think I can live with that". EDGE SHOWS HIS NUMBER TO SHANE. Shane: "Number four, huh? Alright, now tell us what stipulation you want to put into the Gates of Hell". Orton: "Yeah, Edge, tell us". Edge: "Alright..... it's the match that no one in the history of this business is better than me at. We're gonna hang that Universal title above the ring..... and we're gonna bring a ladder into it". EDGE LEAVES THE OFFICE AS THE CAMERA GETS A CLOSE UP SHOT OF ORTON, WHO JUST SMIRKS IN HIS DIRECTION. "THIS FIRE BURNS" BY KILLSWITCH ENGAGE COMES ON AND CM PUNK COMES OUT TO ONE OF THE BIGGEST OVATIONS OF THE NIGHT. Cole: "Listen to the ovation for CM Punk! It's safe to say that these Philly fans are about one hundred percent behind him regaining his Intercontinental title tonight"! JBL: "The fans love this guy and his straight edge ways, Michael, I just don't get it"! THE LIGHTS GO OUT AND KEVIN THORN's MUSIC HITS. HE AND ARIEL COME OUT TO MOSTLY BOOS AS A RED HAZE FALLS OVER THE CROWD. ARIEL IS HOLDING THE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE AS THORN MAKES HIS WAY TO THE RING WITH HIS WALKING STICK. Cole: "Well you talk about an example of two people who aren't straight edge, and that's these two. Kevin Thorn and Ariel essentially stole the Intercontinental title at MeltDown"! JBL: "Oh here you go on that whiny rant again! Kevin Thorn is the Intercontinental champ, and that's what matters"! Cole: "A few weeks agon on PrimeTime, CM Punk was unable to win a match that would've forced Ariel to be suspended above the ring in a cage for this match". JBL: "Take a look at Ariel, Michael, does she looks like someone who should be treated like an animal?! She is Thorn's manager, and has every right to be at ringside"! TWF Intercontinental Title Match Challenger: CM Punk vs. Kevin Thorn w/ Ariel The bell sounded to get the match underway after referee Mike Enos held the title up for the crowd. Thorn moved in on the smaller Punk, but Punk kept him back with some stiff kicks to the back of his legs and body. Punk ran the ropes and was able to duck a clothesline, but when he went for a crossbody, Thorn caught him in the air and delivered a tough fallaway slam. The Intercontinental champ then put the boots to Punk, stomping on his chest and then once right in the face. After pulling the challenger to his feet, Thorn pulled Punk right into a short armed clothesline. Thorn aggressively went for the cover, but Punk was up at 2. Thorn kept coming with the slow, plodding style, but he punished Punk for much of the match. After a big sidewalk slam, he pulled Punk up and bounced off the ropes, looking for a running kick to the face. But Punk dropped down and took him out with a back footsweep all in the same motion. This awoke the crowd, as Punk was back in the match. After shooting Thorn to the corner, he followed in with a big knee right to the face. From there, Punk went outside the ring and positioned himself on the apron, waiting for Thorn to get up. When the champion stumbled to his feet, Punk used the ropes to sling himself into the ring with a big clothesline. Punk got up and pumped his fists, feeling the title coming back. Thorn got up and Punk struck him with 2 backhands to either side of the head. Thorn threw a wild right hand that missed everything and that led to the Uranagi from Punk. Punk made the cover, hooking the outside leg, but Enos only got a 2 count. Punk got to his feet and Ariel got on the apron. Punk made his way over and she went for a slap, but he caught her hand. Just then, the fans went nuts as Maria came running out from the back and she pulled Ariel off the apron before tackling her to the floor! The fans couldn't believe what they were seeing, but while this went on, Thorn had Enos with his back to Punk. This allowed Gangrel to come through the crowd and into the ring. Punk turned right into a kick to the abdomen before being hit with the Impaler DDT! As Gangrel left the ring and went back through the crowd like a thief in the night, Thorn picked Punk up and delivered a nasty crucifix powerbomb, stacking Punk up for the 1.........2........3. Match Time: 9:01 Cole: "Oh come on! What the hell was that"?! JBL: "That's what's known as a successful title defense, Michael"! A FEW MORE REFEREES CAME OUT FROM THE BACK TO PULL ARIEL AND MARIA APART AS THORN WAS GIVEN THE BELT AND HIS MUSIC PLAYED. ARIEL GOT INTO THE RING AND JUMPED INTO THORN's ARMS, CELEBRATING WITH HIM AS THE CROWD BOOED. MARIA APPEARED TO HAVE A BLOODY LIP AS SHE WAITED TO CHECK ON PUNK. Cole: "Look at poor Maria.... she's a backstage interviewer for god sake"! JBL: "Then she should've stayed in the back! She wanted to jump into the fire and she got burned"! Cole: "Well if not for that rogue Gangrel, I believe we would have a new Intercontinental champion tonight" JBL: "He may be a rogue, Michael, but he had one job tonight and he got it done". Cole: "Well here in just a few moments, The Blood Brothers will challenge Jordan Rockwell and Shawn Michaels inside Hell in a Cell for the TWF Tag Team titles. Earlier in the day, Maria caught up to the Blood Brothers". JBL: "This must be before she had her lip busted open"! (laughs) EARLIER TODAY....... Maria: "Earlier today it was announ---
Sean O'Haire: "Hey Maria, do us all a favour and get the hell out of here! We asked for this interview time and not for you to state the obvious"!
Dustin Kash: "You see, it's no secret that we've had a pretty crappy couple of months. We've been humiliated, we've been beaten down but worst of all... we lost our tag team championships. That's where the Hell in a Cell comes into play. All the humiliation and beatings we have taken over the past few months will be nothing compared to what happens to Jordan Rockwell and the Heartbreak Kid here tonight. And then to top it all off, just like HBK and Rockwell did to us, we are going to take our titles back. After tonight, the only difference between what we went through and what they are going to go through, is that they just took our titles... we're going to take their careers"! BACK TO LIVE ACTION, THE LIGHTS AGAIN TURN OUT AND A RED FLASH STREAKS ACROSS THE WACHOVIA CENTER. SECONDS LATER, "MISERIA CANTARE" BY AFI HITS AND JOE COREY COMES OUT ALONG WITH THE ECW WORLD TITLE OVER HIS SHOULDER FROM THE ECW ENTRANCE. HE IS FOLLOWED CLOSELY BY HIS AGENT, PAUL HEYMAN. Cole: "That Hell in a Cell match will take place after this, I guess contract negotiation". JBL: "What do you mean you guess? That's exactly what this is, Michael. You are looking at the biggest free agent in TWF history"! Paul Heyman: "As you know, my client has been competing without an official contract for several weeks now. So we have taken it upon ourselves to invite every general manager in the TWF to come here to Eruption tonight and state their case as to why the biggest free agent in TWF history should sign with them"! "MAN OF STEEL" BY NELLY HITS AND JESSE STEELE COMES OUT TO A MIXED REACTION. Cole: "Well here's the general manager of SlaughterHouse and John, this could be the signing that puts SlaughterHouse on the map. They just acquired Triple H and having someone like Joe Corey would be huge"! JBL: "There's no doubt about it, but if I'm Shane McMahon, I'm gonna do everything I can to make sure he stays right here, under the bright lights of PrimeTime"! "I'M BACK" IS PLAYED AND GENERAL MANAGER ERIC BISCHOFF COMES OUT IN A PAIR OF BLUE JEANS AND THE BRAND NEW BADLANDZ T-SHIRT. Cole: "Eric Bischoff, the general manager of the TWF's upstart division, Badlandz, and wouldn't he like to land someone like Joe Corey"? JBL: "You bet he would, Michael! Eric Bischoff is and always has been a business man! Some of his decisions haven't been great, but I'm told he's read my book, so maybe that gave him some insight leading into this huge signing"! AN ARABIC CHANT IS HEARD AND LEADS INTO MUHAMMAD HASSAN's MUSIC. HE COMES OUT TO THE LOUDEST BOOS OF THE NIGHT AS HE RAISES HIS HANDS OUTWARD. Cole: "Well I'll tell ya, I sure haven't missed this guy"! JBL: "Well that makes two of us.... but if there is one thing Muhammad Hassan has going for him tonight, it's the fact that Joe Corey has been a part of Rampage before, and he still has some things left to prove over there"! "HERE COMES THE MONEY" HITS AND SHANE McMAHON COMES OUT TO A BIG POP. HE IS WEARING THE OFFICIAL ERUPTION T-SHIRT AND A PAIR OF BLACK WARM UP PANTS. Cole: "And here comes the boss! The man who has run PrimeTime since the rosters were split all those years ago..... JBL: "Shane McMahon comes from one of the most powerful families in this entire world.... he knows how to get the job done, Michael". Heyman: "Alright.... now that you're all here..... let's have each of you state your cases". Jesse Steele: "Mister Corey, there are several reasons why SlaughterHouse is the obvious choice here, but let's talk about the keys. For one, we offer a much lighter work schedule. We have a roster loaded with talent and unlike the Badlandz title, the Universal title, or even the TWF World title...... we have the undisputed heavyweight championship, a belt I know you'd like to get your hands on". Eric Bischooff: "Joe.... can I call you that? Badlandz has only been operating for a handful of months, but it's clear we are well on our way. I mean, not only does our roster include the likes of Chris Jericho, Booker T and Kane, we have the most competitive division the TWF has to offer, as evidenced by our recent tournament to crown the first ever Badlandz champion. Not only that, but at one time, we may've been recognized as the fourth show in the TWF..... we clearly aren't anymore". MUHAMMAD HASSAN GRABS THE MIC AND THE CROWD VEHEMENTLY BOOS. Muhammad Hassan: "Corey........ you and I have worked together before and I'd like to think we established a mutual respect for one another. COREY NODS HIS HEAD. Now, unlike these fans, I will show you the respect that you deserve. It's clear that out of the four men standing with you in the ring, I have the best handle of my division! It is my reformed Rampage that has risen to the top of the TWF, plus, we have one thing you've never had the chance to get your hands on.... the TWF World title"! Shane McMahon: "Corey...... you and I both know that you're just getting your feet wet on PrimeTime. Now, unlike the rest of these guys, I'm not gonna beg you to stay on my show. If you want to leave, you go ahead and leave. Unlike Hassan over there, you and I will probably never see eye to eye. And the fact that you do see eye to eye with him makes me lose a little respect for you. SHANE GETS RIGHT UP IN COREY's FACE. So if you don't want to stay on PrimeTime, you leave, you go run somewhere else. But you know that whether it's Bobby Lashley, Shawn Michaels, Jordan Rockwell, John Cena or hell, anyone in the PrimeTime lockerroom..... someone's gonna say you ran away". SHANE DROPS THE MIC ON THE MAT, AND COREY REACHES DOWN AND GRABS IT. Joe Corey: "You done? You all make very compelling cases, but I've come to a decision. Ya see, I don't care about any of the titles you mention, because sitting on my shoulder right now is the title I care most about. Hassan, I feel that my boys over there in ECW have things under control..... so that leaves me one choice. COREY TURNS AND GETS RIGHT UP IN THE FACE OF SHANE McMAHON. So whether it be Bobby Lashley, Shawn Michaels, Jordan Rockwell or John Cena.... I'll be staying here on PrimeTime to kick some ass! Hell, maybe one day I'll get the chance to legally beat your ass..... Shane". COREY EXTENDS HIS HAND AND SHANE BEGRUDGINGLY SHAKES IT AS HASSAN, STEELE AND BISCHOFF LEAVE THE RING. Corey: "Now, onto my second order of business tonight. It seems there has been someone going around and messing with ECW and by that I mean besides those punks Rockwell and Michaels. Now, many of you have heard me talk about the ECW X-Factor and I figured that tonight would be a great time to reveal my X-Factor. This man is making his return to the TWF and to whoever it is out there playing all these mind games..... here is what you get to deal with"! A FULL MOON APPEARS ON THE PRIMETRON AND THE HOWL OF A WOLF IS HEARD AS "MISERIA CANTARE" PLAYS AGAIN. A SHOCKED CROWD REACTS AS CHAOS WOLF MAKES HIS WAY OUT FROM THE BACK. Cole: "What?! It's Chaos Wolf.......... JBL: "You're damn right it is, Michael! How long has it been since we've seen him"?! Cole: "The last time we saw Chaos Wolf was in a brutal I Quit match with Vlad the Impaler..... I completely forgot about him"! JBL: "Well it appears that he is the X-Factor we've been hearing about". Joe Corey: "Ladies and gentleman, please welcome back to the TWF...... my ECW X-Factor...... Chaos Wolf"! THE FANS LOUDLY BOO AS COREY HANDS CHAOS WOLF HIS MICROPHONE. Chaos Wolf: "Since the last time you saw me...... I've been hiding in the shadows, but I've also been working. I've been working hard to come back the best I possibly could. I've been hitting the gym, working with a personal trainer. I've hired a personal sparring partner, improving my abilities..... but what I've done the most...... is I've thought. I've challenged myself mentally, and I've racked my brain. One of the things I've thought about the most, is being the ECW X-Factor, and Corey, I can't believe you ever trusted me! Ya see, the person pulling all those pranks on you..... and your so called ECW X-Factor..... are the same man"! JUST THEN, WOLF DROPS THE MIC AND KICKS COREY IN THE GUT BEFORE DELIVERING AN INCREDIBLE FLIPPING PILEDRIVER! THE FANS RESPOND WITH A HUGE CHEER AS HEYMAN LOOKS ON IN SHOCK. A NEW THEME SONG HITS AND WOLF JUST STARES DOWN AT COREY BEFORE LEAVING THE RING. JBL: "You've gotta be kidding me! What the hell is this idiot thinking"?! Cole: "It seems this deal..... this new partnership fell through, and Corey never even knew about it"! JBL: "There was a time when I gave Chaos Wolf the oppurtunity of a lifetime! This was an even bigger oppurtunity, and the moron just blew it"! Cole: "Chaos Wolf has returned to the TWF with a huge impact...... and Joe Corey has been left laying in the ring"! BACKSTAGE...... SHANE McMAHON's OFFICE...... SHANE McMAHON IS SHOWN IN HIS OFFICE, WATCHING WHAT HAS JUST TRANSPIRED ON A MONITOR. JUST THEN, BOBBY LASHLEY ENTERS THE ROOM. Bobby Lashley: "Shane........... LASHLEY EXTENDS HIS HAND, AND SHANE SHAKES IT. Shane McMahon: "Go ahead big man, make your selection". LASHLEY REACHES INTO THE TUMBLER AND PULLS OUT ONE OF THE PLASTIC BUBBLES, OPENING IT UP. Lashley: "Number three......... Shane McMahon: "Alright, so what would you like to add to the Gates of Hell"? Lashley: "Hmmm...... let's go with falls count anywhere". Shane McMahon: "Sounds good........ good luck to ya". SHANE SLAPS LASHLEY ON THE SHOULDER AND HE TURNS AND LEAVES THE OFFICE. BACK IN THE ARENA, THE FANS LOUDLY CHEER IN REACTION TO THE HELL IN A CELL BEING LOWERED DOWN AROUND THE RING. Cole: "Oh yeah..... are you ready for this"?! JBL: "This is gonna be out of control, Michael! The cell is the most career shortening structure in the history of this industry"! BOOS FILL THE ARENA AS "MISERIA CANTARE" COMES ON AGAIN AND THE BLOOD BROTHERS MAKE THEIR WAY THROUGH THE CROWD AFTER POPPING THROUGH THE ECW ENTRANCE. Cole: "And here come the challengers, the former two time TWF Tag Team champions who were well on their way to becoming perhaps the greatest team we've ever seen in the TWF..... that was until two of the biggest individual stars this business has ever seen decided to team together". JBL: "There is no doubt that Jordan Rockwell and Shawn Michaels have put a dent in the resume of these two men! But that can all be made up for tonight"! "BACK IN BLACK" BY AC/DC HITS AND PYRO EXPLODES OUT OF THE VOLCANIC STRUCTURE ON THE SET AS JORDAN ROCKWELL AND SHAWN MICHAELS COME OUT TO A HUGE CHEER FROM THE CROWD. THEY EACH HAVE THEIR TAG TEAM TITLE STRAPPED AROUND THEIR WAIST. Cole: "It was last month at MeltDown where after weeks of humiliating pranks, Rockwell and Michaels backed it up in the ring and defeated the Blood Brothers! Tonight, inside Hell in a Cell, the stakes are even higher". JBL: "You're damn right they are, Michael! The Franchise and the Heartbreak Kid are in for the fight of their lives"! Cole: "Well keep in mind that the Blood Brothers are the ones who selected this stipulation and Jordan Rockwell is somewhat of a veteran to the Hell in a Cell". Hell in a Cell/TWF Tag Team Title Match Challengers: The Blood Brothers vs. Jordan Rockwell and Shawn Michaels Standard tag team rules were thrown out the window for this one as all 4 men went right at it. Rockwell and Dustin Kash began trading right hands as did Michaels and Sean O'Haire. After a backhand chop that was nearly a low blow, O'Haire rammed Michaels into the top turnbuckle before delivering a hard backdrop suplex. Kash was able to rake the eyes of Rockwell before tossing him through the ropes to the floor. Kash then ran into Michaels with a back elbow before the Blood Brothers each grabbed the martial arts staffs that they brought to the ring, and smacked the Heartbreak Kid several times across the back. Kash was above to pound Michaels over the head with his weapon when Rockwell came into the ring with a steel chair. Kash turned and swung at Rockwell but missed and Rockwell blasted him across the knees with the chair before taking it and throwing it at the head of O'Haire. Rockwell then took O'Haire over the top rope and to the floor with a clothesline before following him out. In the ring, Michaels drilled Kash with a flying forearm before nipping up and going to the top rope, coming off with a picture perfect flying elbow. Michaels made the cover and got a very long 2 count before Kash was able to push him off. Outside the ring, Rockwell picked O'Haire up and ran at him but O'Haire countered with a backbody drop. He then picked up the steel ring steps and drove them into the head of Rockwell when he got up. O'Haire then muscled the steps up again and threw them into the ring. Kash positioned them before picking Michaels up and delivering a sideslam right on the stairs! Michaels was in a ton of pain as Kash pushed him to the mat and made the cover for the 1.......2........., but Rockwell got up and yanked him off the cover by the foot. Rockwell pulled Kash under the bottom rope and threw him head first into the wall of the cell before grabbing him and grinding his face against the mesh-style wall. But in the ring, O'Haire picked Michaels up and dropped him with a scoop slam before going to the top rope, looking for the Seanton Bomb. He flew off with it, but Michaels was able to roll out of the way. Rockwell then picked Kash up and rolled him back into the ring. Rockwell and Michaels then combined for a double suplex on Kash but O'Haire had retrieved one of the martial arts staffs and he cracked Michaels in the back of the legs before jamming it into the abdomen of Rockwell. After a nasty scissors kick to the back of the head, O'Haire threw Rockwell over the top rope again. This time, Kash followed him and they picked Rockwell up together, throwing him into the cell like a javelin! Rockwell crashed to the floor after the unpleasant toss and the Blood Brothers were gaining a lot of momentum. Kash reached under the ring and pulled out a table and he and O'Haire began to set it up. But before they could do anything, Michaels got up and ran the ropes in the ring, leaping over the top rope with an amazing suicide dive! All 3 men slammed into the cell and everyone was down. The match hung in the balance as all 4 men were motionless. Finally, Rockwell began to stir and he got up, reaching under the ring and pulling out a trash can. He rolled O'Haire into the ring and smashed him in the head with the trash can before putting it over his head. Rockwell then used O'Haire's own staff to bash him with. Meanwhile, the fans were going crazy as Michaels had gone under the ring and found a bottle of lighter fluid and a flamethrower! He doused the table in the fluid before giving it a shot from the flamethrower and seconds later, it was lit up in flames. Rockwell and Michaels each got a hold of Kash and picked him up, driving him through the flaming table with a double release spinebuster! "Holy Shit" chants were heard for the next 30 seconds as an emergency crew rushed down to ringside and canvassed the area with fire extinguishers, spraying through the enclosed cell. Michaels then got into the ring and waited for O'Haire to remove the trash can from over his head. When he did..... it was lights out. "Sweet Chin Music" rocked O'Haire and Michaels went into the cover, rolling him up for the 1.........2........3. 9:56 JBL: "Ah no! I can't believe this"! Cole: "This is amazing! Not just for the fact that Rockwell and Michaels have retained..... but there was man on fire out here"! "BACK IN BLACK" PLAYED AGAIN AND REFEREE CHRIS KAY HANDED ROCKWELL AND MICHAELS THEIR BELTS AS THE CELL WAS RAISED BACK UP. JBL: "These four men went through hell, as we knew they would, but I didn't expect anything like this". Cole: "Like our good friend Jim Ross would say, it looks like a fatal car wreck but speaking of going through hell, John, that's exactly what six superstars are about to do in the Gates of Hell. This match has only been done once in the history of the TWF...... let's take a look at what lies ahead here at Eruption". A HIGHLIGHT PACKAGE FROM THE FIRST AND ONLY GATES OF HELL MATCH FROM DEADLY GAMES IN 2002, EVENTUALLY WON BY RON SIMMONS, IS SHOWN. Cole: "Well fans, the next time the TWF will be in your hosue for pay-per-view will be for DoomsDay, a Rampage event, so make sure you mark your calendars. But now, it's time for the Gates of Hell, perhaps the most unique match in the history of the TWF". JBL: "I would go as far as to call it the most unique match in the history of this business, Michael, there's nothing like it". Cole: "The match will start off with two men and every five minutes, a new man, bringing a new way to win, will enter the match". JBL: "But unlike the Elimination Chamber, this match can end before every superstar enters the ring! So while there is a huge advantage to coming in last and being the fresh man with your stipulation picked, you better hope that no one wins the match before you get in there"! Cole: "It's a high risk, high reward situation, John! We know Randy Orton will enter the match last, but we have no idea what stipulation he'll be bringing with him"! UMAGA's MUSIC HITS AND THE FANS LOUDLY BOO AS HE MAKES HIS WAY TO THE RING. JBL: "And we're starting things out with the Samoan Bulldozer, Michael, an odds on favorite to win this thing"! Cole: "Well you notice who's not out here with him tonight, and that's Armando Estrada. We're told that Estrada suffered a severe concussion after being hit over the head with a steel chair on the last PrimeTime by Axl Irvin, and he will be out for an undetermined amount of time". JBL: "Well Axl Irvin will pay for that in due time, but tonight, Umaga's sights are set on the Universal title"! "MY TIME IS NOW" COMES ON AND JOHN CENA POPS OUT FROM THE BACK TO A VERY MIXED RESPONSE. HE HOLDS THE UNIVERSAL TITLE UP HIGH IN HIS RIGHT HAND AS HE MAKES HIS WAY TO THE RING WITH AN INTENSE LOOK IN HIS EYES. Cole: "What a challenge in front of John Cena tonight. Not only does he have to defend the title against five other men, he has to do it in which there will be at least five different ways to win"! JBL: "Cena has his hands full tonight, Michael, and if he can somehow survive the Gates of Hell, he truly can call himself the champ each and every night! But he better watch out, he might not make it past Umaga"! Cole: "So it will be Umaga and the current Universal champion John Cena to start this match off and five minutes from now, another man will join the fray, bringing a new stipulation into the match. Now, if either Umaga or Cena can gain a pinfall or submission here, the match is over just like that". CENA TAKES A LONG LOOK AT THE UNIVERSAL TITLE BEFORE HANDING IT TO REFEREE MIKE CHIODA WHO HOOKS IT TO A CABLE BEFORE IT IS RAISED ABOVE THE RING. THE CAMERA ALSO GOT A SHOT OF FINLAY's SHILLELAGH WHICH HUNG FROM A POLE IN THE CORNER. JBL: "Kiss that title goodbye, Cena"! Gates of Hell/TWF Universal Title Match Umaga vs. (c) John Cena vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Edge vs. Finlay vs. Randy Orton The bell sounded to start the match and Cena circled the huge Samoan, Umaga. Finally, they locked up and Umaga easily pushed Cena into the corner. Chioda moved in to ask for a break but Umaga went for a cheap shot, only to have Cena block it and follow that with 3 hard right hands. Cena then hit a huge hip toss slam that shook the ring and Cena was all charged up. Cena hit a clothesline but Umaga ducked a second and caught him with a superkick. After a big diving headbutt, Umaga drug Cena into the corner, leaving him in a seated position. He then set up for his running squash in the corner, but Cena moved out of the way. Once to his feet, Cena used a drop toehold before locking in the STF-U! The fans were in shock as it looked like Cena might end the Gates of Hell quickly. But Umaga flat out refused to tap out. Finally, Cena let go of the hold but the fans went nuts when Axl Irvin ran out from the back, again carrying a steel chair. Axl came into the ring and slammed the chair over Umaga's head, staggering him. Axl swung it again but Umaga kicked the chair right out of his hands! The two then began trading blows and Umaga knocked Axl out of the ring, following him out. But Axl got right back up and kicked him in the side of the jaw. The two men brawled all the way up the ramp and out of sight. Suddenly, Cena was left alone in the ring and he had almost a full minute to rest before Bobby Lashley's music hit and he came to the ring in a hurry. Falls count anywhere was now in effect as Cena and Lashley went right at it, trading shots. Cena caught Lashley with a big knee but when he ran the ropes, Lashley drilled him with a clothesline. Lashley positioned himself in the corner for the spear, and when Cena got up, he ran right throught him. The crowd was in utter disbelief as Lashley made the cover, but Cena found it within him to kick out at 2! The fight waged on between two of the fans' favorite superstars. Lashley was wearing Cena out with his power and after a big clothesline in the corner, he loaded him up onto his shoulder. Lashley went for the running powerslam, but Cena slipped off before lifting Lashley up and delivering his spinning sideslam. Cena made the cover, but Lashley kicked out at 2. As the clock counted down, a buzzer sounded and the fourth entrant, Edge came out. Edge grabbed the ladder that stood in the aisle before even entering the ring, sliding it under the bottom rope. But that turned out to be a bad decision as Lashley and Cena each grabbed an end and smashed Edge with it right when he got into the ring. Both men dropped the ladder and focused on Edge. After a huge clothesline by Lashley, he pulled the Rated R Superstar to his feet and whipped him to Cena, who caught him and delivered the F-U! But while Cena was doing this, Lashley had set up the ladder and he was halfway up. Cena was able to climb the first rung and grab his foot, stopping his climb. Cena then climbed up a little more and grabbed Lashley, pulling him to the mat with a huge backdrop suplex! All 3 men were down, and the crowd was way into it. Edge was the first to get to his feet, but as soon as he did, Lashley got up and speared him! Lashley again positioned the ladder and began to climb it, his eyes fixated on the belt hanging above him. But slowly, Cena got up and began to climb the other side. The crowd was on the edge of their seats as both men were within an arm's length of the belt. But somehow, Edge was able to get up and he shoved the ladder over, sending both men sprawling to the floor! This opened the door for Edge, who was still feeling the effects of the F-U and the spear. However, he was still able to set up the ladder and he began to climb it. But another 5 minutes had passed and Finlay joined the fray. Finlay came into the ring and pushed the ladder over. Edge crashed into the ring ropes as Finlay threw the ladder to the side. Suddenly, Finlay's shillelagh represented the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow and his eyes lit up as he made his way to the corner and he grabbed the pole. But before Finlay could get his hands on it, both Cena and Lashley were back in the ring and they brought him down with a nasty fall. Cena then tried to catch Lashley with the F-U out of nowhere, but Lashley elbowed his way free and kicked Cena in the gut, setting him up for the Dominator. But just as he got Cena up, Lashley was taken out by Edge's version of the spear. Edge made the cover, but Lashley got his left shoulder off the mat at 2. The four men continued to battle until the final buzzer sounded and Randy Orton, the freshest man in the match, made his way to the ring. The second he got in, the Hell in a Cell structure lowered for the second time of the night. The fans couldn't believe what they were seeing as the cell was able to fit right over the pole in the corner, and the title hanging above the ring. The fight continued and Finlay brought a steel chair into the ring, smashing Lashley across the back with it. Cena was able to hammer Finlay from behind as Edge was climbing the turnbuckle, trying to retrieve the shillelagh. But Orton saw this and dropkicked the feet of Edge, knocking him into a very precarious position on the top turnbuckle. Orton then picked up the ladder and swung it right into the face of Cena. From there, Orton went outside the ring and found a pair of wire cutters! Orton cut enough of a hole in the cell to where he could get out, and he threw the wire cutters on top of the cell. Everyone in attendance wondered what he was doing, but they couldn't believe their eyes when he began to climb the cell! In the ring, Edge got his ladder and set it up, but Cena got up and dropped him with a right hand. Lashley saw Orton going up the cell, and decided to follow. Cena positioned the ladder and began to climb it, but Orton was nearing the ceiling of the cell. Cena slowly climbed, but Orton was on the ceiling, cutting a hole in it! Cena got to the top rung and reached for the title, but it moved up! That was because Orton had the cable in his hands, and was pulling the title up through the top of the cell! But before he could get it done, Lashley got to the top and took out the master of the RKO with a spear! Both men were down as some of the loudest cheers in years rang through the Wahovia Center. Now, Cena had the match all but won. The title was swinging back and forth but Cena lunged at it and grabbed it. But just before he could unhook the belt, Edge blasted him with a chair shot before just throwing the chair at him! Cena came crashing to the mat as Edge had the gold in his sights. Edge began to climb the ladder, but he became nervous when he noticed it was a race against Finlay. Finlay had ascended the turnbuckles and was trying to scale the pole. Edge went up the ladder and even though it began to tip over, he was able to use his legs to control it and he grabbed the belt, unhooking it just before Finlay got up and grabbed his shillelagh! The bell sounded and Finlay raised his arms in victory, but "Metalingus" by Alter Bridge came on and Edge raised the title up before falling to his knees. Match Time: 24:37 Cole: "My God what a match! I can't believe what we've just witnessed here, John, and for the third time, Edge has become the Universal champion"! JBL: "I can't tell you what these men have just went through, Michael.... this is one for the history books"! Cole: "Well Randy Orton came out here with a clear cut plan, and it nearly paid off! In a strange way, Edge might have Bobby Lashley to thank for becoming champion"! JBL: "And what about Finlay? He was a mili-second too late, he had the shillelagh in his hands, but Edge had the title in his first"! Cole: "It's been an incredible night here at Eruption...... we'll see you all on the next edition of PrimeTime"!
