Jonathan Coachman:"Controversy surrounds the TWF title but Bret Hart is the number one contender as we are live for Saturday Night's Main Event"! "I AM" BY EMINEM HITS AS WELL DUNN HEADS TO THE RING. Boby Heenan:"I don't know if I've been part of a more chaotic situation than the TWF is in right now"! A NEW ENTRANCE SONG HITS AS THE NEWCOMER CARNEY COMES OUT. Coachman:"We're kickin' things off tonight with a newcomer who plans on making a splash in the lightheavyweight division"! Heenan:"He's got a tough opponent in Steve Well though". Steve Well vs. Carney Carney's debut turned out to be a successful one as he wasted no time attacking Well. Carney displayed cat like quickness and dazzled the crowd with some explosive offense. But after a quick takedown, Well got some offense going. He threw Carney out of the ring and came off the ropes with a double axe handle. But back inside the ring, Carney kicked out of a double underhook powerbomb and used a go behind into a german suplex. That led to the "Carney Drop" and the 1-2-3. Match Time: 4:55 Coachman:"What a debut for Carney"! Heenan:"This kid's young, he's quick and he's agile! He's gonna be very successful in the lightheavyweight division"! "NO CHANCE" HITS AS VINCE McMAHON COMES OUT. Coachman:"Not a great reception for the owner of the company Brain". Heenan:"I know that look on Vince's face. He is not in a good mood"! Vince:"Earlier this week on RAW is WAR, you all witnessed aserious miscarriage of justice. You see, thanks to senior official Earl Hebner, Bret Hart is the number one contender for the TWF title! Well I've got bad news for all you Hitman fans! (crowd starts to boo as he holds up a book) Ya see, right here in section 1R page 296 of the TWF rule book, it states that the referee's original decision is official. Therefore, Earl Hebner was wrong for trying to reverse the decision and subsequently, the match has been stricken from the record and it'll be like it never took place. The final ruling, no contest"! Coachman:"You gotta be kidding me"! SUDDENLY, LINDA's MUSIC HITS AS THE CROWD COMES TO THEIR FEET. Heenan:"Oh no, not here again"! Linda:"I had feeling you were gonna pull this Vince and I was prepared for it. Ya see, the next Commissioner of the TWF isn't gonna let you play these games and I won't either. I still don't believe Bret Hart has been given a fair oppurtunity so I've made a match tonight! And no Vince, you don't get to select his opponent this time because I already have"! Coachman:"Who's it gonna be"? Linda:"Tonight, in that very ring, Bret Hart will get the match he's waited almost four years for because Vince, tonight Bret's opponent is you"! Heenan:"No way! This can't be happening"! VINCE's JAW DROPS AS THE CROWD GOES WILD. BRIEF INTERMISSION FOOTAGE IS SHOWN FROM RAW WHEN BAHAMUT, MATT HARDY, KANE AND STRIFE WENT AT IT BACKSTAGE. THE HARDY BOYZ' MUSIC HITS AS MATT AND JEFF COME OUT. Coachman:"What an ovation for these Hardy Boyz and Jeff Hardy will be in action later tonight in one of two lightheavyweight triple threat matches"! Heenan:"What a match this should be! Matt Hardy demanded this one"! "WHATEVER" BY GODSMACK HITS AS BAHAMUT COMES OUT. Coachman:"Personally I think these two are fighting over nothing. They had a misunderstanding in that backstage brawl and I think they should band together against the Hardcore champion Strife and the Intercontinental champion Kane"! Bahamut vs. Matt Hardy Bahamut came out focused and took it to Matt. He hit him with a big clothesline and a gorilla press slam. Bahamut was in total control until he went for a running boot, Matt ducked and he nailed referee Jack Doan. The 2 men traded shots back and forth until Kane and Strife came out. Kane chokeslammed Bahamut while Strife dropped Matt with the "Wrong Destination" and the two left. With Doan still down, Jeff Hardy went up top and nailed Bahamut with the Swanton bomb. As Doan began to come to, Matt slowly got to his feet as did Bahamut and Matt dropped him with a sleeper drop and Doan made the 3 count. Match Time: 5:20 Coachman:"Matt Hardy has pulled this one out"! Heenan:"Well he can thank both Kane and his brother for that win"! FOOTAGE IS SHOWN OF HACKSAW JIM DUGGAN GETTING DR. WILLIAM BIRKIN TO WAVE THE AMERICAN FLAG ON RAW AS "TRUST" BY MEGADEATH HITS. Coachman:"It's hard to believe this guy is being cheered but now that he seems to have things in order, this is a guy who can go to the top real quick"! "YOU THINK YOU KNOW ME" HITS AS CHRISTIAN COMES OUT. Heenan:"Well he's gotta face one of the more talented wrestlers on the roster tonight"! Dr. William Birkin vs. Christian Birkin had a major size advantage but he couldn't match Christian's quickness. Christian took out Birkin's leg with a chop block early in the match and worked vigorously on the right knee. But Birkin pulled Christian to the mat and caught him with a huge chokeslam. He then whipped him into the corner and went for a charging shoulderblock but Christian got out of the way, sending Birkin hard into the steel post. Christian capitalized by quickly dropping him with the "Un-Prettier". He hooked the leg and got the pin. Match Time: 2:21 Coachman:"That's gotta be considered an upset"! Heenan:"See, I knew it! He should've never changed his attitude. The old Birkin would've won that match"! PRIOR TO COMMERCIAL..... BACKSTAGE.... Mean Gene Okerlund:"Ok guys, right now I'm standing here with the man that defeated Kurt Angle at King of the Ring, Tatanka. Tatanka, what brought you back to this business"? Tatanka:"Ya know Gene, ever since I left I've had a burning desire to come back and do what I love to do. But the main reason was for all the letters and emails I received from fans wantin' to see me in the ring again. Linda McMahon called me at the perfect time and King of the Ring was the perfect place. You saw what I did to Angle there and by the end of 2001, I will have gold for my people to be proud of. But not Olympic gold, TWF gold". COMMERCIAL.... A TWF SHOPZONE COMMERCIAL IS SHOWN FEATURING TAZZ' NEW "MENACE TO SOCIETY" T-SHIRT AS WELL AS AHMED WALKER's "ORIGINAL BAD BOY" T-SHIRT SHOWING A LIKENESS OF HE AND TORRIE WILSON. RETURN FROM BREAK.... RAVEN IS STANDING IN THE RING. Coachman:"We're back folks and Raven is in the ring". Raven:"Ya know, I've asked for this time to get a few things off my chest. The TWF is a major money maker, yet the owner of the company is letting his wife tell him how things are gonna be and his son is bringing members of another company to TWF shows. Now I hear they signed some idiot from Texas. Doesn't the TWF have enough Texans? I mean Texans are nothin' but.... SUDDENLY, THE SOUND OF SIX SHOOTERS GOES OFF AND A COWBOY RUNS DOWN TO THE RING AND STARTS TO UNLOAD ON RAVEN. A BIG CLOTHESLINE TAKES RAVEN OUT OF THE RING AND HE WALKS UP THE ENTRANCEWAY BACKWARDS, STARING THE COWBOY DOWN. Heenan:"Who is this guy"? Coachman:"That's Mike Smith and he just signed with the TWF and apparently didn't like the comments made by Raven"! "ENTER SANDMAN" BY METALLICA HITS AS MADDOGG COMES TO THE RING. Heenan:"We're gonna see a real war here between members of two groups that are at odds"! "CHEAP VODKA" BY ACID BATH HITS AND PLAYS INTO THE GATES OF HELL THEME AS NAILS COMES OUT. Coachman:"All members of the Gates of Hell and the Confederation have been barred from ringside including Paul Bearer"! Maddogg vs. Nails This was an all out war that seemed like it would go all night. Back and forth the action went until Nails caught Maddogg with a ddt as he came off the ropes. He then hit him with a spinebuster and a powerbomb but he couldn't put Maddogg away. Suddenly, a fury of offense came from Maddogg as he hit Nails with a series of right hands and then dropped him with the "MaddBomb" but Nails kicked out at 2! The action continued as both men hammered each other. Late in the match, Maddogg hit Nails with a suicide dive as he jumped out of the ring.He rolled Nails back into the ring. Suddenly, the sound of an engine revving could be heard throughout the arena. This noise seemed to distract Nails as he threw a wild right hand which Maddogg ducked and then dropkicked Nails in the knees, knocking him down. Maddogg waited for Nails to stumble to his feet and when he did, he dropped him with another "MaddBomb" and got the pin. Match Time: 12:45 Coachman:"What a great match"! Heenan:"I thought they'd kill each other! And we've still got King Killer against the Leviathan later but what was that noise"? SPIKE DUDLEY's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT TO A GOOD POP. Coachman:"This will be our first of two lightheavyweight triple threats tonight"! MASATO TANAKA's MUSIC HITS. Heenan:"Well I like to see the lightheavyweight division getting more attention and should be a heck of a match"! YUJI MATASAMO's MUSIC HITS. Coachman:"The winners of these matches would have to be in line for a shot at Tajiri's lightheavyweight title in my opinion". Triple Threat Match Yuji Matasamo vs. Masato Tanaka vs. Spike Dudley This was a great match that showed what the TWF lightheavyweight division is all about. All 3 men had oppurtunities to win but the crowd was firmly behind Spike. Matasamo and Tanaka worked together but Spike showed how big his heart is. A backslide by Spike on Matasamo nearly got a 3 count. Suddenly, Tanaka and Matasamo began to go at it and they traded chest slaps that could be heard in the arena rafters. Late in the match, Tanaka caught Matasamo with a superkick but Spike came from behind and went for the "Dudley Dog" on Tanaka. But Tanaka countered by tossing Spike all the way to the floor. Tanaka taunted Spike as Matasamo seized his prey. The second Tanaka turned around, Matasamo kicked him in the stomach and delivered the skewer ddt to get the win. Match Time: 18:32 Coachman:"What a match and what a big win for the former lightheavyweight champ Matasamo"! Heenan:"Matasamo may have an argument to be number one contender now"! CHRIS MICHAELS' MUSIC HITS. Coachman:"Well here comes a man who's gotta be on an emotional roller coaster of late"! HARDCORE HOLLY's MUSIC HITS. Heenan:"Well think he should take his focus off HBK for now. Get some wins under your belt first kid. This would be a big one here". Chris Michaels vs. Hardcore Holly 2 superstars trying to prove they belong had one heck of a match here. The bell rang and a shoving match ensued. Then Michaels slapped Holly and found out just how tough he is. The action spilled outside the ring several times and even into the crowd. Holly's right hands punished Michaels but Michaels dropped him with a kick to the back of the head. He went for a bodyslam but Holly countered with a small package to get a 2 and a half count. As the action continued, Michaels irish whipped Holly but Holly ducked a clothesline and hit him with the best dropkick in the business. That led to Holly's "Big Shot" falcon arrow suplex for the 1...2...3! Match Time: 8:56 Coachman:"I wouldn't mind seeing those two go at it sometime down the road again"! Heenan:"Maybe Holly raised some eyebrows with that one. He's had some doubters around here lately"! PRIOR TO COMMERCIAL... BACKSTAGE.... LINDA IS IN THE LOUNGE GETTING A CUP OF COFFEE WHEN SHAWN MICHAELS COMES IN. Shawn Michaels:"Hey Linda, gotta talk to you about something". Linda:"Ok Shawn, go ahead". Michaels:"Well I know I won't get a title shot by going to Vince and I feel like I deserve one". Linda:"Well Shawn, so do I. It's just that I think Bret Hart should get his chance right now. And you're probably right, Vince won't give you a title shot. It's just that Bret's been screwed so many times, I think you know a little about that. But you'll get your shot in due time. Vince may not think you deserve it but I have a feeling the new TWF Commissioner will". COMMERCIAL.... A COMMERCIAL FOR AT & T DIGITAL CABLE IS SHOWN. RETURN FROM BREAK... VINCE's OFFICE.... KURT ANGLE COMES IN. Kurt Angle:"Mr. McMahon, I hope you're not disappointed in me costing Regal and I that tag match on RAW". Vince:"Well Kurt, I wasn't exactly happy". Angle:"Well I wanna make it up tonight, I want The Rock one on one"! Vince:"Well Kurt, I think one Rock Bottom was enough. Besides, Rock's not even here tonight. But I'll tell ya what you can do. You can organize my office while I train for this damn match I have tonight"! ANGLE LOOKS UPSET AS VINCE WALKS OUT BUT HE BEGINS TO DO WHAT VINCE ASKED. "YOU THINK YOU KNOW ME" HITS AS CAMMIE COPELAND HEADS TO THE RING. Coachman:"Here comes the sister of Edge and Christian as she's making her in ring debut tonight"! MOLLY HOLLY's MUSIC HITS Heenan:"She's takin' on one tough cookie though"! Cammie Copeland vs. Molly Holly One word describes this match- WOW! These two brought women's action to the next level in the TWF in one of the best women's matches ever. Molly looked good in the beginning, hitting Cammie with her bicycle kick and a flipping legdrop off the top rope. But Cammie came back with some very impressive moves of her own, including a handspring elbow and a somersault kick while Molly was in the corner. Both women got several near falls and at one point, there were 12 pin attempts in less than a minute which drew a big ovation from the crowd. After ducking a right hand, Cammie grabbed Molly around the waist and used a backdrop into a powerbomb to score the win. Match Time: 9:47 Coachman:"What a win for Cammie! That'll make fans look at the Women's division a little differently"! SUDDENLY EDGE RAN OUT TO CONGRATULATE HIS SISTER. Heenan:"What a debut! Edge has joined the celebration but where's Christian"? "THE KINGS" BY RUN DMC HITS AS SHAWN O'HAIRE COMES OUT WITH CHUCK PALUMBO. Coachman:"The European title will not be on the line here but what a big match for Shawn O'haire". TAZZ' MUSIC HITS AS AN ORANGE HAZE COMES OVER THE ARENA. Heenan:"Well here comes the European champion but it seems Jordan Rockwell and Drew Blood have a vested interest in that title as well"! Non Title Match Shawn O'haire vs. European Champion Tazz Tazz had more than a few problems in this one as the much bigger O'haire brought everything he had. It was a seesaw slugfest as Tazz hit O'haire with a t-bone suplex and O'haire answered with a 1 handed powerslam. O'haire began to take control of the European champion and after a sidewalk slam, he nailed him with a superkick but Tazz got a shoulder up at the last second. O'haire went up top for the "Shawnton Bomb" but Tazz rolled out of the way and locked the "Tazz-Mission" right when he got up. But Chuck Palumbo came into the ring and hit Tazz in the back of the head with the European belt causing a DQ as Jordan Rockwell and Lita came running to the ring. The New Breed took turns hammering away on Tazz when Drew Blood slowly came down the aisle. He took out both Palumbo and O'haire and hit Rockwell with the "Bloodbath" as Lita scurried out of the ring. But behind Drew Blood, an angry Tazz got up and hit him with the "Tazz-Plex". Tazz took the European title and left as the crowd went nuts. Match Time: 9:09 Coachman:"The European title is the root of all this evil! What an intense situation"! Heenan:"There's bodies everywhere! Like J.R. would say, it looks like a car wreck out here"! ESSA RIOS' MUSIC HITS Coachman:"Here comes one of the most fun to watch superstars in the TWF today as we get set for another triple threat match"! WEAPON R's MUSIC HITS Heenan:"This man is probably the most successful lightheavyweight in TWF history". THE HARDY BOYZ' MUSIC HITS AS MATT AND JEFF COME OUT AGAIN. Coachman:"They'll have to compete with this guy who went all the way to the final four at King of the Ring"! Triple Threat Match Essa Rios vs. Weapon R vs. Jeff Hardy This match featured 3 men on totally different paths. Weapon R, highly regarded as the best lightheavyweight in TWF history, got things off to a huge start when he rearranged Essa Rios' face with a superkick. Jeff Hardy clearly had the fans support and he provided them with a big moment in the match when he hit both men with "Poetry in Motion". The match continued at a furious pace. In the latter stages of the match, Rios dodged a charging Jeff and he and Weapon R cracked heads. Rios went up top and hit Weapon R with his gorgeous moonsault but when he landed, he crumpled up in pain, grabbing at his ribs. But Jeff was Johnny on the spot. He went up top and hit Weapon R with the Swanton Bomb and got the pin. Match Time: 12:15 Heenan:"We've seen the Swanton Bomb twice in one night"! Coachman:"And that one may have gotten him a lightheavyweight title shit sometime down the line"! PRIOR TO COMMERCIAL.... BACKSTAGE.... Okerlund:"What a show tonight guys! I'm here at this time with the first ever Queen of the Ring Tiana Taylor. Now Tiana, lately it seems one Jessica Lopez has a real problem with you". Tiana Taylor:"Jessica, I beat you fair and square in the Queen of the ring finals and now you gotta attack me from behind? Hey girl, be a woman and let me know when you're comin', you know where to find me"! COMMERCIAL.... TIDAL WAVE PROMO IS SHOWN: IT'S A NICE DAY ON THE BEACH. SUDDENLY, WINDS START TO SWIRL AND RAIN BECOMES HEAVY AS MANY WRESTLERS GO AT IT IN A RING ON THE BEACH. TIDAL WAVE COMES TO YOU LIVE FROM DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA ONLY ON PAY-PER-VIEW. RETURN FROM BREAK.... THE BRUTILE BULLDOG's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT WITH TERRI. Coachman:"Fans, TWF Tidal Wave is gonna be off the hook. It will take place right on Daytona Beach and you don't wanna miss out! Right now, the Hardcore title is gonna be on the line"! "FALLING AWAY FROM ME" BY KORN HITS AS THE HARDCORE CHAMPION STRIFE COMES OUT. Heenan:"The Brutile Bulldog got this match after telling Vince he'd been talking to his son Shane. Let's see if he can make the most of it". TWF Hardcore Title Match Challenger... The Brutile Bulldog vs. Strife For almost 5 minutes, nothing about this match was hardcore. It was a straight wrestling match that saw Strife dominate the Bulldog. He hit him with a gorilla press slam and a clothesline that turned him inside out. Strife then came at the Bulldog but the Bulldog used a low bridge with the ropes and Strife went out to the floor. Terri began helping the Bulldog get weapons into the ring. The Bulldog hit Strife with a push broom and a parking sign. But when he lifted a trash can, Strife used a running boot and kicked it right in his face. He then dropped him with a military press into a powerslam setting up the "Derailer" off the top rope. But once didn't satisfy Strife. He hit the Bulldog with a second "Derailer", almost breaking him in half to retain the title. Match Time: 8:29 BUT BEFORE STRIFE COULD EVEN GET THE BELT IN VICTORY, METALLIC HANGOVER CAME OUT AND HIT HIM IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD WITH A METAL POLE. METALLIC HANGOVER LOOKED DOWN ON THE FALLEN STRIFE AND THEN WALKED AWAY. Heenan:"This Metallic Hangover is one dangerous individual"! Coachman:"Well there will come a time and place for he and Strife to have it out one on one"! "ENTER SANDMAN" BY METALLICA HITS AS KING KILLER COMES OUT WAVING THE CONFEDERATE FLAG. Heenan:"We already saw one Confederation-Gates of Hell war tonight and this one's gonna be even bigger"! A RING OF FIRE SLOWLY BUILDS AT THE TOP OF THE ENTRANCE RAMP AS THE GATES OF HELL's MUSIC HITS AND THE LEVIATHAN COMES OUT. Coachman:"Well the Gates of Hell have opened and look what they've let out. This is a rematch from the King of the Ring quarterfinals in which King Killer defeated this monster with help from the rest of the Confederation. But like the Maddogg-Nails match earlier, all members of each group are barred from ringside"! King Killer vs. The Leviathan Two behemoths went at it here in a rematch from KOTR. Leviathan was on the attack as he broke King Killer down with a strong offense. After a flying clothesline, Leviathan powerbombed King Killer and had him beat until a man with white hair came down the aisle on a motorcycle. King Killer pulled referee Mike Sparks aside as the man got up on the apron and hit the Leviathan over the head with a tire iron. Leviathan fell backwards as King Killer picked him up and delivered a huge powerbomb of his own to get the 1-2-3. Match Time: 3:03 NAILS IMMEDIATELY RAN OUT AND ATTACKED THE MAN ON THE MOTORCYCLE. THEY FOUGHT UP THE RAMP AS CAMERAS FOLLOWED BEFORE THE ACTION WAS LOST. Coachman:"What is going on here? Who is this guy"? Heenan:"I know who he is! I also know why Nails is attacking him! His name is Hell's Angel and he and Nails were once bitter rivals in an organization known as W.H.W.F.! Has he been signed by the TWF"? Coachman:"Fans, before we go any further, we have some disturbing news to show. One of our cameramen was on scene as Travis Wakeman was released from the hospital today. Take a look at this". FOOTAGE SHOWN: TRAVIS AND TRISH ARE SHOWN COMING OUT OF THE HOSPITAL, SMILIMG AND LAUGHING. THEY WALK THROUGH THE PARKING LOT AND COME TO TRISH's CAR. THEY FIND IT WITH ALL THE WINDOWS BROKEN OUT AND THE TIRES SLASHED. TRISH IS DISTRAUGHT WHILE WAKEMAN IS FURIOUS. Coachman:"Who is doing this Brain"? Heenan:"I'm not sure, it could be anyone! But it's startin' to get real serious". Coachman:"Real serious and real personal"! PRIOR TO COMMERCIAL... BACKSTAGE.... "STONE COLD" STEVE AUSTIN COMES UP TO TRIPLE H. Stone Cold:"Boy, you're lucky Vince is a genius". Triple H:"Oh yeah, why's that"? Stone Cold:"Cause if Bret Hart would've gotten another shot at my title cause of you're not thinkin', we would've had your ass"! Triple H:"Oh is that so"? THEY GET FACE TO FACE. Stone Cold:"Yeah, that's so". COMMERCIAL..... A COMMERCIAL FOR GATORADE IS SHOWN. RETURN FROM BREAK.... "NO CHANCE" HITS AS VINCE McMAHON COMES OUT. Coachman:"Well it's time for revenge Brain. Bret Hart's been waiting almost four years for this match"! BRET HART's MUSIC HITS AS HE COMES OUT TO A HUGE OVATION. Heenan:"All thanks to his wife Linda"! Coachman:"If the Hitman wins here, he'll get another shot at the TWF title and it looks like we just witnessed tension within the alliance between Austin and Triple H Brain"! Heenan:"Everything will be fine once Vince gets through this match. He'll have a chance to talk to his entire group and find a way to deal with his wife". Vince McMahon vs. Bret "Hitman" Hart Vince didn't seemed scared of the hitman as he started things off by slapping him across the face. Bret began to beat the hell out of Vince when Triple H came out and hit referee Earl Hebner over the head with a steel chair. Triple H then hit Bret with the Pedigree as Vince and his son in law did a number on Hart. But then the fans erupted as The Rock ran down the aisle and into the ring. He hit both men with the Rock Bottom and tossed Triple H outside the ring. Bret got up with Vince down and looked around at the fans. With a slight grin on his face, Hart locked in the Sharpshooter and Vince tapped out right away as Hebner noticed it and called for the bell. Bret held it on for almost a minute before letting it go as he and The Rock looked at each other as The Rock walked away. Match Time: 10:05 Heenan:"I thought he wasn't here tonight! What did he help Hart for"? Coachman:"Who knows, but Bret Hart has just earned another shot at Austin"!
