Orlando was the spot for the first TWF Main Event in over 2 years. NBC cameras were set all over the arena, as were those of the TWF and over 12,000 fans packed the Amway Arena, home of the NBA's Orlando Magic, for what would be a huge "go home" show before King of the Ring. With the stars of Rampage and PrimeTime in the house, there was a huge night of action that started with a full slate on Uprising, which saw the debut of 2 new superstars. Blade vs. Lex Lovett (invitee) The night started off with a young man people have been talking about for weeks, anticipating his debut. Fans were introduced to Blade and Lex Lovett probably wishes he never met him. Blade combined speed and athleticism with some serious power for a very successful debut. After gorilla press slamming Lovett, Blade hit a shining wizard that knocked him cold. But he then muscled him up for a running powerslam he calls "The Slicer" to seal the deal. After the match, Blade declared himself the top rookie of the upcoming year and says he will close 2008 with a bang. Troy Gafgen vs. Lance Cade This was a match that both men needed to have. Gafgen is still looking to get noticed in the crowded Rampage scene and Cade is trying to prove he can hack it in singles competition. Cade dominated the match, taking the fight to Gafgen and nearly getting the win after a huge spinebuster. But Gafgen hung in there and when Cade missed with a big lariat, he caught Cade with a running boot to the face. Cade was able to counter a powerbomb attempt with a backbody drop but when he pulled Gafgen up, Gafgen used a quick small package out of nowhere to take the match. Beth Phoenix vs. Kelly Taylor Made and Austin Pyromania will be in the "Golden Ticket" battle royale later in the night and Kelly would've probably much rather been helping them get ready for that than in the ring with the Glamazon. Beth Phoenix controlled the match, showing strength we may have never seen in the women's division. After a solid, one sided beating, Phoenix laid Kelly out with a fisherman's buster to win the match. Dockland Destroyer w/ Yard Boss vs. Dylan Summers (invitee) Fans didn't know what to expect out of the Dockland Destroyer, but it was clear he listened to every order from the very odd Yard Boss. DD was in there with Dylan Summers, a man many know otherwise as Necro Butcher. This was a fight from the opening bell and Summers was able to hold his own until DD caught him with a swinging sideslam after he ran the ropes. Summers went outside the ring in frustration and grabbed a steel chair, bringing it into the ring, but DD kicked it right in his face. After a falling powerslam, DD went to the top rope and flew off with a diving headbutt he calls the "Boston Tea Party" and he covered Summers for the win. After the match, the Yard Boss quickly ordered the Destroyer to the back. 6 person Tag Team Match M.X. Ogden, Deuce Snuka and Stacy Keibler vs. D'Lo Brown, Jeff Hardy and Candice Jeff Hardy joined forces with D'Lo Brown and Candice to counter GeNext's newest addition, Deuce Snuka. With a battle between Ogden and D'Lo coming at King of the Ring, they brawled all over, every chance they got, as did the two lovely ladies. But in the ring, Jeff Hardy and Deuce were in a war. Hardy caught Deuce with a reverse Twist of Fate before going to the top rope, obviously looking for the Swanton. But Ogden was able to shake off D'Lo by whipping him into the ring steps and he climbed those same steps to push Jeff off. Jeff landed hard on the mat and Deuce delivered a nasty looking swinging neckbreaker to get the pin on him. "Straight to Video" by Mindless Self Indulgence played as GeNext celebrated the win. Crew members then ran out on the stage to get things set for Main Event to go live on NBC! MAIN EVENT GOES LIVE THE FAMOUS NBC PEACOCK LOGO FLASHES ACROSS THE SCREEN BEFORE A NEVER BEFORE SEEN MONTAGE VIDEO ROLLS AND "DEAD MAN WALKING" BY BLOODSIMPLE PLAYS AS HIGHLIGHTS OF PAST EDITION's OF MAIN EVENT ARE SHOWN. THE AMWAY ARENA IS THEN SHOWN, BLAZING WITH PYRO AND THOUSANDS OF EXCITED TWF FANS. THE CAMERA PANS OVER THE RING WHICH HAS THE 2008 KING OF THE RING LOGO ON THE MAT, A BLACK RING SKIRT AND WHITE ROPES. THE SHOT THEN FOCUSES ON JERRY LAWLER AND MICHAEL COLE WHO ARE AT RINGSIDE. Michael Cole: "Thank you for joining us tonight for TWF's Main Event and King, it's been a long time since you and I did this together"! Jerry Lawler: "Uh, not long enough". Cole: "Well tonight you will see plenty of action including four second round matches in the King of the Ring tournament but look..... look who's in the ring"! NBC SPORTS CHAIRMAN DICK EBERSOL IS IN THE RING WITH A MICROPHONE. Dick Ebersol: "Good evening ladies and gentlemen, and thank you for joining us tonight as NBC combines forces with the TWF for some exciting wrestling action! THE CROWD LOUDLY POPS Tonight, we will.............. JUST THEN, "SAVE ME" BY BURN HALO COMES ON AND JORDAN ROCKWELL COMES OUT WITH A PURPOSE, HEADING STRAIGHT FOR THE RING. Lawler: "What the heck is this"? Cole: "Well, in case you don't follow PrimeTime, King, this would be the franchise"! Lawler: "I know that, but it takes some nerve to come out here and interrupt the chairman of NBC"! Rockwell gets in the ring and takes the a mic and begins to pace back and fourth.
Jordan Rockwell: "Last week, I said that my wife and I were celebrating a special occasion and we were because we found out that she was pregnant with our second child and then Mark Henry stood back there and said he wanted to expose the franchise".
Rockwell stops and turns his back on the camera in the corner and then slides down to the mat.
And then you..... and then you put your hands on my wife.......... you put your hands on my pregnant wife and now because of you my wife had to be flown home to Tampa to be put into the hospital for emergency care due to pregnancy complications"! Lawler: "Oh my gosh........
Rockwell pulls himself up and lowers his head on the top rope.
Rockwell: "You said you wanted to expose me and you did, cause you exposed me to be a man, a husband and as a father and because of you my wife is lying in a hospital bed and she might lose our unborn child and I promise I will never forget or forgive that!
Mark all I have to say to you is I feel no anger, I feel no sadness, I feel no guilt because when it comes to King of the Ring...... all I feel is justification".
"Save Me" hits again as Rockwell drops the mic and leaves the ring with his head down. Lawler: "Wow". Cole: "A very emotional statement from a very different sort of Jordan Rockwell...... we'll be right back". COMMERCIAL BREAK................ RETURN FROM BREAK...... RINGSIDE....... WHEN MAIN EVENT RETURNS, THE LIGHTS IN THE ARENA GO OUT AND "MISERIA CANTARE" PLAYS, BRINGING OUT J.J. RAMPLIN FROM THE ECW ENTRANCE HAS BARBED WIRE STYLE CHRISTMAS LIGHTS HANGING ABOVE IT. Cole: "Welcome back here to Main Event and King, I am still a little shaken over the words spoken moments ago by Jordan Rockwell, revealing to the world that his wife Lita is pregnant and due to Mark Henry's attack, that pregnancy may be compromised". Lawler: "Yeah, it's definitely disturbing but as big and strong as Mark Henry is, I don't know if I'd want to be in his shoes at King of the Ring". "THE NEXT EPISODE" BY DR. DRE COMES ON AND MATT CRUZ STEPS OUT FROM THE BACK TO A BIG CHEER. Cole: "And speaking of the King of the Ring, this is our first match in the second round and we've got four of them tonight"! Lawler: "The winner's of these tournament matches tonight will all advance to King of the Ring for a chance at the crown, Michael"! Cole: "And these two men are certainly no strangers to one another, should be a great match". 2008 King of the Ring Tournament 2nd Round J.J. "The Ram" Ramplin vs. Matt "Madik" Cruz This was a very good match in the tournament that didn't really have a dull moment. Cruz was able to use his amatuer superiority to wrangle Ramplin to the mat where he was also able to control him. Ramplin was able to get out of the whole by working his way to the ropes while Cruz had him in a waistlock. After missing with a clothesline in frustration, Ramplin found himself on the receiving end of a german suplex that got a 2 count. Cruz was on top of his game but when he shot The Ram to the corner, Ramplin got his foot up when he followed in before drilling him with the Ram's Horns out of nowhere. He went for the cover, but Cruz was able to kick out at 2. Ramplin pulled him up and delivered a big vertical suplex before dropping a leg across his throat and chest area. Ramplin made the cover and got the 1...........2......., but again Cruz was up. Ramplin pulled him up again but Cruz got in 2 quick right hands before pulling him in for a belly to belly suplex. After grabbing Ramplin in a double underhook, Cruz picked him up and dropped him right across his right knee. Ramplin was in a lot of pain as Cruz went to the outside of the ring, looking for a high risk move. He got to the top rope and with the crowd loudly cheering, he found out it was too much of a risk as he landed right across the knees of Ramplin going for a moonsault. Cruz clearly had the wind knocked out of him and Ramplin got up, grabbed his head and pulled him in for the "Dead Weight" which he delivered with a ton of impact for the 3 count. Match Time: 6:00 Lawler: "Ramplin advances"! Cole: "Matt Cruz seemed to have the former King of Cable right where he wanted him, but Ramplin saw that moonsault coming and made him pay"! "MISERIA CANTARE" PLAYED AND MOST OF THE CROWD BOOED AS RAMPLIN WALKED UP THE RAMP WITH BOTH HANDS RAISED. Lawler: "Joe Corey has been on a Rampage lately, no pun intended, but this should bring a smile to his face"! BACKSTAGE..... CAMERAS IN THE BACK GO TO THE DRESSING ROOM OF TRAVIS WAKEMAN WHERE HE IS HITTING A PUNCHING BAG THAT HAS BEEN SET UP FOR HIM. THE DOOR TO THE DRESSING ROOM OPENS AND CHRIS TIRPAK ENTERS..... WAKEMAN SEES HIM AND STOPS HITTING THE BAG. Travis Wakeman: "You mind"? Chris Tirpak: "Uh...... how ya feelin'"? Wakeman: "I'm fine, I'm ready for the match, if that's what you want". Tirpak: "There's some rumors going around about you...... I just want to make sure you're okay". Wakeman: "Whatever they are.... I don't care.... I'll be out there tonight. Just take care of Sean O'Haire so I can get my hands on Masters". Tirpak: "See ya out there". TIRPAK LEAVES THE ROOM AND WAKEMAN LET's OUT A SIGH BEFORE REACHING DOWN AND GRABBING HIS SIDE. HE SEEMS TO BE IN A LITTLE DISCOMFORT. 2008 King of the Ring Tournament 2nd Round Kevin Thorn w/ Ariel vs. Tatanka This match started with Ariel going to the corner and grabbing the Native American headdress that Tatanka wore to the ring. When Tatanka went after her, Thorn came from behind with a shot to the back before turning him around and pulling him into a short-armed clothesline. With the early advantage, Thorn then put the boots to Tatanka before pulling him up and shooting him to the ropes. But Tatanka avoided a clothesline and kicked Thorn in the gut before landing 2 heavy right hands and then blasting his chest with some hard knifedge chops. Tatanka ran the ropes and Thorn missed with another clothesline before Tatanka hit a flying crossbody block to get a 2 count. Both men got to their feet and Thorn beat Tatanka to the punch, whipping him to the corner and following in with a hard back elbow. Thorn then lifted him up for the snake eyes but Tatanka slid off his shoulders and rolled him up for the 1........2........, but Thorn pushed out. Tatanka was able to get Thorn up on his shoulders and hit the Trail's End but when he went for the cover, Ariel had put Thorn's right boot on the bottom rope to stop the count at 1. Tatanka had had enough of the vampiress by this point and reached through the ropes, grabbing her by the hair and nearly pulling her into the ring. But Thorn got up and saw this using punt style kick right in the midsection of Tatanka. That set up the Crucifix Powerbomb and Thorn covered him for the win. Match Time: 5:45 Cole: "And Kevin Thorn has won again, this time advancing to the final four of the tournament"! Lawler: "Tatanka gave it a good run, but he had to worry about that sexy little vampire outside the ring, Ariel"! "MI DESTROYERO" PLAYED AS KEVIN THORN AND ARIEL LEFT THE RING. AT THE TOP OF THE RAMP, THE TWO EMBRACED AND BOTH GANGREL AND DRUSUS CAME AND STOOD AROUND THE TWO OF THEM AS A SMALL CIRCLE OF FLAMES ROSE FROM THE RAMP. Cole: "Kevin Thorn is clearly the ruler of this group The Requiem, but could he also be the King of the Ring"?! Lawler: "Well that is one frightening sight to see the four of them like that and anyone who plans on going through Thorn will have to deal with the darkside"! COMMERCIAL BREAK.............. RETURN FROM BREAK...... RINGSIDE...... WHEN MAIN EVENT RETURNS, "STRAIGHT TO VIDEO" IS PLAYING AND M.X. OGDEN IS ENTERING THE RING, WHICH IS FULL OF SUPERSTARS FROM BOTH RAMPAGE AND PRIMETIME. Cole: "We welcome you back to Main Event here on NBC where we are live from Orlando, Florida and it now looks like we are ready for the first ever Golden Ticket battle royale, King"! "THIS FIRE BURNS" BY KILLSWITCH ENGAGE PLAYS AND CM PUNK COMES OUT FROM THE BACK TO A HUGE POP, ONE OF THE LOUDEST ALL NIGHT. Lawler: "This is going to be like the golden ticket that Willy Wonka gave away! What an oppurtunity for one of these guys"! Cole: "The winner of this fifteen man over the top battle royale will earn a guaranteed future title shot but we should mention that that does exclude both the TWF World and Universal titles". Lawler: "Whoa, Mike Knox just kicked Gregory Helms in the face! I guess we're underway"! "Golden Ticket" Battle Royale Several big names in this battle royale and several unique matchups. Early on, it was the two big newcomers to Rampage, Jack Swagger and Mike Knox, along with JBL, that controlled the ring. But the first elimination of the match came when D'Lo Brown came out to get in another shot at the man he will face at King of the Ring, M.X. Ogden. Ogden saw him coming and was able to fend him off but that allowed Damion West to come from behind and dump Ogden over the top rope. West then sought out PJ Cash and the two went at it with West able to get the best of it only to have Swagger come from behind and toss him out. Helms then flew at Swagged but the former All-American from Oklahoma caught the current Lightheavyweight champ and threw him over the top rope. Cash liked what he saw out of Swagger and the two men actually slapped hands and that distraction was enough for JBL to clothesline Swagger over the top rope. JBL then saw his former tag team partner Cash and the two men exchanged blows with JBL getting the best of him until Cash dropkicked his right knee and delivered a tornado DDT using the ropes to spring off. On the other side of the ring, Umaga got in a big chop to the throat of Punk before taking a few steps back and running at him, but Punk lowbridged him with the top rope and the Samoan Bulldozer was out! Meanwhile, Cash ran the ropes only to be stuffed by the "Clothesline from Hell" and JBL threw him over the top rope with authority. JBL then grabbed Punk from behind as Punk was in a brawl with Knox and he threw him out as well. JBL looked over at Knox and the two seemed to have some sort of agreement but a dropkick to the back of JBL by Taylor Made eliminated him! Axl Irvin, Sebastian Cain and Taylor's partner Austin Pyromania were still in the mix as was Scott Steiner who was battling with Rob Van Dam. But it was still Mike Knox who was making his way through everyone in the ring. With the ring clearing after Cain was able to muscle Axl out of the ring, Knox and Steiner came face to face. Steiner flexed his arms and had some words for the scruffy bearded Knox who just kicked Big Poppa Pump in the face, knocking him into the ropes. Knox then ran at him but Steiner was able to shift his momentum against him and toss Knox out. But at basically the same time, Sebastian Cain was able to get Pyromania out of the ring. Just as Cain turned around, he was met with a springboard kick to the face from RVD that knocked him over the top rope. Steiner nearly had Taylor Made out on the other side of the ring and RVD came to his aid, kicking Steiner several times in the body. Steiner turned around and grabbed RVD but Taylor used a chop block from behind and together, he and RVD threw Steiner out. It was down to Van Dam and Taylor Made and after a quick kick to the gut, Taylor Made lifted RVD to the top turnbuckle. Meanwhile, officials at the top of the stage were talking to Sebastian Cain as he exited and Cain seemed very upset. Taylor was looking for a superplex but RVD was able to block it and push Taylor to the mat. RVD then flew off the top rope with a martial arts kick to the chest and when Taylor stood up, RVD grabbed him by the back of the head with both hands and lofted him over the top rope to win it! Match Time: 12:17 Cole: "RVD has eliminated Taylor Made and he has won it"! Lawler: "One of the most decorated superstars in TWF history, Michael..... RVD now has a future title shot"! "ONE OF A KIND" BY BREAKING POINT PLAYS AS RVD PLAYS TO THE VERY HAPPY CROWD IN THE RING BEFORE GOING OUTSIDE AND SLAPPING HANDS WITH SEVERAL RINGSIDE FANS. Cole: "Well you gotta wonder what RVD will do with the Golden Ticket". THE SHOT GOES TO AN OUTDOOR PLACE WHERE CHAOS WOLF IS STANDING AT WHAT APPEARS TO BE AN ENTRANCE. THE SUN IS GOING DOWN, SO IT's HARD TO SEE WHERE HE IS. Chaos Wolf: "Earlier today, Shane McMahon asked me not to come to the arena so I wouldn't cause any ruckus heading into King of the Ring . Ya see, Shane has known me for a long time and he knows what I am capable of. He doesn't know you..... he doesn't know what you're capable of. So I've decided to give you a chance to show him..... to show everybody what you're capable of. Personally, I think you're a bitch but, I'll give you a chance to prove me wrong. Now, I understand you're familiar with the Florida area......... so why don't you come find me...... come and get me, Samaiel". THE SHOT FADES OUT AND PICKS UP BACK AT THE ARENA WHERE MELINA IS WITH TRAVIS WAKEMAN BACKSTAGE. SHE SEEMS VERY EXCITED TO SHOW HIM HER NEWLY WON WOMEN's TITLE. Melina: "Isn't that great.... I won it! What's wrong, you don't seem like...... Travis Wakeman: "Melina, I said I needed my space and that's what I meant. Right now, I have a match to go get ready for". WAKEMAN WALKS AWAY AND MELINA TURNS TO SEE BETH PHOENIX STANDING IN FRONT OF HER. Beth Phoenix: "You better quit worrying about him and start enjoying your Women's title....... while you have it". BETH WALKS AWAY AND MELINA STILL LOOKS VERY UPSET AS THE SHOT IS SENT TO THE RING. Travis Wakeman and Chris Tirpak vs. Chris Masters and Sean O'Haire Tirpak and O'Haire started the match off and both men went for a quick knockout shot. After catching Tirpak with a backhand to the abdomen, O'Haire went for a roundhouse to the head but Tirpak ducked and got him up on his shoulders for the "Lights Out". O'Haire was able to get free and pull Tirpak back down onto his knees. Masters tagged into the match and kept Tirpak down with some heavy shots to the back and a big powerslam. Masters then whipped Tirpak to the ropes, looking for the Polish Hammer, but Tirpak was able to duck that and clothesline Masters. Tirpak then slapped the hand of Travis Wakeman who came in and was all over the Masterpiece. Wakeman looked crisp in all his movements before shooting Masters to the corner and moving in with several punches to the body, working the kidney area. But after lifting Masters up and slamming him to the mat, Wakeman went down to one knee. He then tagged Tirpak in and looked like he was in plenty of pain as he went to the outside of the ring, trying to gather himself. In the ring, Tirpak hit Masters with a big flying clothesline but with referee Jim Korderas concerned with Wakeman, O'Haire came into the ring with his King of Cable title and hit Tirpak in the back of the head. Korderas turned around as Masters rolled atop Tirpak to make the 3 count. Match Time: 6:11 Cole: "Well the referee never saw that and Chris Masters and Sean O'Haire get the win"! Lawler: "Wakeman and Tirpak were rolling until....... Cole: "Wait a minute, here's Sebastian Cain"! SEBASTIAN CAIN CAME OUT WITH A FURY AND WAS ALL OVER SEAN O'HAIRE. O'HAIRE DID HIS BEST TO DEFEND HIMSELF BEFORE OFFICIALS CAME OUT AND PULLED THE ENRAGED CAIN OFF OF HIM. Cole: "It looks like Sebastian Cain has finally snapped on Sean O'Haire"! Lawler: "People have been waiting for this for awhile, I know my partner Jim Ross is one of 'em, but you have to wonder what set him off"! TRAINERS WERE AT RINGSIDE TALKING TO WAKEMAN, WHO SEEMED TO REFUSE THEIR HELP. Cole: "And you have to wonder what is going on with Travis Wakeman". COMMERCIAL BREAK................. RETURN FROM BREAK.....BACKSTAGE...... WHEN PRIMETIME RETURNS, CHERRY IS SHOWN IN THE BACK TALKING TO CM PUNK. Cherry: "I'm a little worried, I mean, she's a tough girl and...... CM Punk: "You'll be fine, this is her first match, you've done this before". JUST THEN, SCOTT STEINER WALKS UP AND GRABS CHERRY BY THE ARM, GIVING PUNK A COLD STARE THROUGH HIS BLACK SHADES. HE THEN PULLS CHERRY IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION AND PUNK JUST SHAKES HIS HEAD. IN ANOTHER PART OF THE BACKSTAGE AREA, D'LO BROWN AND CANDICE MICHELLE ARE STANDING BY WITH TODD GRISHAM.
Todd Grisham: "D'Lo, earlier tonight on Uprising, we saw you team up with Candice Michelle and Jeff Hardy against GeNext. You guys weren't able to pick up the win, but do you think you sent any kind of message throughout the match"?
D'Lo Brown: "Look here, Todd, there is only one thing I care about when it comes to GeNext, and that is making them pay for what they did to Candice. I've been in this business for a long time, and let me tell you, guys like M.X. Ogden are exactly why the wrestling business isn't as strong any more...
AS SOON AS THOSE WORDS COME OUT OF D'LO'S MOUTH, HE'S KNOCKED TO THE FLOOR BY M.X. OGDEN, WIELDING A CAN OF SPRAY PAINT. OGDEN BEGINS UNLOADING PUNCHES ON
D'LO, BUT D'LO FIRES BACK AND STARTS TO GET THE UPPER HAND. AS SOON AS THIS HAPPENS, THOUGH, DEUCE SNUKA COMES IN OUT OF NOWHERE AND KNOCKS D'LO TO THE
GROUND, WHERE OGDEN AND SNUKA PUT THE BOOTS TO HIM. CANDICE IS SCREAMING FOR THEM TO STOP, BUT STACY THEN COMES UP AND THROWS HER TO THE GROUND AND A CAT FIGHT
ENSUES. OGDEN AND DEUCE PUT THE FINISHING TOUCHES ON D'LO BY LIFTING HIM UP, ONLY FOR OGDEN TO HIT THE MEMORY MAKER! OGDEN GETS INTO THE CAMERA, LIFTING
CANDICE UP BY HER HAIR AND HOLDING HER CLOSE TO HIM.
M.X. Ogden: "Candice, Candice, Candice... Don't even think about hitting Stacy. You see, unlike you and Alex Shelley, Stacy and Deuce here are good to me...

THE SHOT GOES BACK TO THE RING WHERE CHERRY IS INSIDE, AWAITING THE ARRIVAL OF HER OPPONENT. "TEARS DON'T FALL" BY BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE HITS AND GINA CARANO COMES OUT WEARING A SILVER AND BLACK WRESTLING SINGLET TO A VERY, VERY STRONG OVATION. Cole: "Well here's something we've really been looking forward to, the worlds of professional wrestling and mixed martial arts are about to collide.... here comes the lovely but very talented Gina Carano"! Lawler: "Gina Carano might just be the most popular competitor in MMA these days and now, we have her in the TWF"! Cole: "She's never stepped into a wrestling ring but ya gotta believe Cherry is going to have her hands full tonight. After the closing of MMA company EliteXC, TWF officials took the advice of Tito Ortiz and got this girl under contract"! Lawler: "Well I'm not that big of a fan of Tito Ortiz but you have to give him credit for that"! Cherry vs. Gina Carano Cherry came out and did her best to expose Carano's inexperience, locking up with her and taking her to the mat with a headlock takeover. From there, Cherry went into a standing waistlock but Gina did a great job to pick one of her legs and take her down with a back footsweep. Gina missed with an elbow and Cherry hit a vicious low dropkick after running the ropes. Following a snap mare, Cherry kicked Gina right in the back of the head, ready to spoil her debut. After whipping Carano to the corner, Cherry moved in with a big suplex before going to the middle turnbuckle and flying off with a big splash, hooking the leg for the 1.........2........, but Gina pushed her off. From there, Cherry pulled her up and seemed a little indecisive about what she wanted to do, throwing a right hand but Carano blocked it well and snuck in a quick jab. As Cherry grabbed her nose in pain, Carano knocked her down with a nasty round kick to the head. Cherry crumpled to the mat and Gina covered her for the 1.......2.......3! Match Time: 4:58 Cole: "Oh what a kick! Gina Carano just turned the lights out on Cherry"! Lawler: "She might've just done Cherry a favor..... maybe she won't have to deal with Steiner for the rest of the night"! "TEARS DON'T FALL" PLAYED AGAIN AND A VERY HAPPY GINA CARANO LEFT THE RING, WAVING TO THE CHEERING CROWD. Cole: "Well she did show her inexperience, but that head kick erased a lot of that"! CHAOS WOLF IS SHOWN AGAIN, STANDING IN A LONG LINE, WAITING TO GET INTO A "BUBBA GUMP" SHRIMP RESTAURANT. THE AREA IS EXTREMELY CROWDED AS WOLF TURNS AND LOOKS INTO THE CAMERA AND THEN LOOKS AT HIS WATCH. Chaos Wolf: "Still waiting, Samaiel..... still waiting". The camera opens to show Richard Ramsley sitting on a metal chair somewhere inside the arena. The room is empty, dimly lit, and the humming of machines can be heard softly in the backround. Ramsley is wearing a Rob Zombie T-Shirt, and his acid washed jeans. A toothpick hangs losely from his mouth as he looks into the camera.
Richard Ramsley: "Ah, the boiler room.... a bit cliched, true.... but it's the only place where I can be by myself. The only place I can really.... think. See, I can't think when I'm around people. They make me too angry. The idiotic way they live their lives, like cattle trying to keep up with the herd. Kennedy made me angry.... and look what happened to him. You know who else made me angry? Randy Orton. I didn't like him sticking his nose in my business like that. But his interference in my match proved something. He wants to make Kennedy suffer too..... the enemy of my enemy is my friend..... if Orton wants Kennedy, he can have him. I look forward to watching the two of them destroy each other. For now. I don't forget grudges, Kennedy. Eventually, I'll finish what I started. But back to the topic at hand..... see, I look around each arena I go to. The fans, the arena employees, the rest of the locker room.... and I hate all of them! They all just.... rub me the wrong way..... the avarice of the fans...... the bitterness of the workers.... the worthlessness and self-centeredness of the TWF roster..... I can't do anything to the fans or the workers...... but the TWF roster is a different story.... I thought about it a lot the past few days..... I need someone new for me to really hate. Someone to drag down.... someone to hurt. I've got a few people in mind..... but one person stands out in my mind..... I hate everything about him..... like how he thinks he's better than me..... like how he tries to overcome his past like I can't..... like how he has a family that cares...... when something horrible in your life happens, one of two things happen. You either learn to hate, like me, or you learn to forget, like him..... I'm going to show him what happens to someone who can't forget.
Ramsley flicks the toothpick out of his mouth, stands up, and walks off. A door is heard opening and closing, as the camera fades to black. BACKSTAGE...... LENA YADA IS WITH A VERY EXCITED GINA CARANO, FOLLOWING HER MATCH. Lena Yada: "Gina, tremendous debut in the TWF out there. Tell the fans what it was like to go get your first win". BEFORE GINA CAN SPEAK, TITO ORTIZ COMES INTO THE SHOT AND GIVES HER A BIG HUG. Tito Ortiz: "Yeah, girl, you were great! That was awesome! (looking at Lena) Wasn't she great! C'mon, let's go celebrate! Woooo"! ORTIZ PULLS CARANO OFF AS THE SHOT GOES BACK TO THE RING. Cole: "Well, I would've liked to hear from Ms. Carano, but oh well". Lawler: "Well it appears she and Tito have some celebrating to do"! Cole: "Well we are back to the King of the Ring tournament here and we have just gotten word that Joe Corey has issued some sort of King of the Ring challenge tonight, for any former King of the Ring winner to face him in the ring"! "Fly from the Inside" by Shinedown hits and the fans start to boo as the GeNext logo starts swirling in the ring. Jason Oliver comes out. He’s wearing his ring gear with a leather jacket and a White skull cap as well. The leather jacket has “King of Sting.” stitched into it. Oliver gets into the ring and grabs a mic. Lawler: "A very interesting challenge made by The Show but here comes the King of the Ring entry of GeNext and a guy who will win the tournament.... just ask him". Cole: "The ego of Jason Oliver has always been a bit over the top but he is finally starting to put a streak of wins together to go with that. Standing in his way tonight is Dylan Jansens".
Jason Oliver: "In case Orlando has forgotten just who I am, my name is Jason Oliver, The King of Sting, The Canadian Mustang. In France they call me Le Magnifique. And I am the next King of The Ring! To do that though I have go through three more men. One of them tonight. An old fossil that should have retired long ago. The flamer… I mean Enflamer. D.J., Dylan Jansens. A former Universal champion. Not that I’ve ever beat a World Champion. Ohh wait I did that last week, and at Doomsday, to win my tag titles. I have beaten more world champions than Chris Tirpak has had shots at the title and failed. Why I ask does Chris Tirpak get a shot while talented wrestlers such as M.X. Ogden, J.J. Ramplin, P.J.Cash and so many others have never had a sniff. Simple, he’s older. In this line of work apparently being old means that you get whatever you want. Well the King of Sting calls B.S. on that one my friends. How many matches has D.J. won this year? One, maybe two? His career is done. I just need to show the rest of you that it is. After tonight though, I’m going to show that as a Canadian, I know what a hat trick is. I’m the King of Sting, a King of Cable, and very, very soon, I’m going to be King of the Ring. Because this is my world and everyone just lives in it"! OLIVER TOSSES THE MIC DOWN AND "OUT OF MY WAY" BY SEETHER BRINGS DYLAN JANSENS TO THE RING TO A HUGE RESPONSE. 2008 King of the Ring Tournament 2nd Round Jason Oliver vs. Dylan Jansens Jansens slid into the ring but Oliver was waiting, stomping on him several times before dropping an elbow right on the back of his head. Oliver quickly tried to cinch in a rear naked choke, but Jansens got free and got to his feet, nailing Oliver with a Pele kick. Jansens then hit a running senton bomb, covering him but only getting a 1 count. Jansens pulled him up and it was obvious he was trying to get the match over quickly as he tried to get Oliver up on position for a torcher rack. Oliver was able to slip free and kick Jansens in the stomach, looking for the "Claymore". But Jansens countered that and ran the ropes, throwing a dropkick that missed everything. Oliver then used an Oklahoma roll and got the pin. Match Time: 4:21 Lawler: "He got him! Oliver has advanced to the semi-finals"! Cole: "Jason Oliver will meet J.J. Ramplin at King of the Ring after a quick victory over Dylan Jansens, who just made one mistake". "FLY FROM THE INSIDE" PLAYS AGAIN AND OLIVER LEAVES THE RING AS JANSENS SLAPS THE MAT IN FRUSTRATION. Lawler: "Well don't go away, because still to come tonight, Edge will team with John Cena to battle Randy Orton and Mr. Kennedy! What could possibly happen in that one"?! Cole: "Plus we have this King of the Ring challenge issued by Joe Corey"! COMMERCIAL.......... RETURN FROM BREAK..... BACKSTAGE....... WHEN MAIN EVENT RETURNS, CAMERAS CATCH A CONFRONTATION BETWEEN MONEY MIKE AND JOE COREY. Money Mike: "So..... I heard about your little King of the Ring challenge". Joe Corey: "And..... you ready to accept"? Money Mike: "Well, I would, but I've already beaten you before, so it wouldn't be much fun. Besides, I'm being told Eddie Saint James and that weirdo Monica want me in the ring for some sort of "magic trick" tonight". (laughs) Corey: "Well good luck with that". Money Mike: "And good luck to you against whoever accepts that challenge of yours". SHANE McMAHON IS SHOWN WITH A VERY UPSET EDGE IN HIS OFFICE. Edge: "It's absolutely ridiculous to have me team with Cena tonight! He's one of the guys I'm facing at King of the Ring"! Shane McMahon: "Piper and I thought it would be a good idea. We're on national tv tonight..... NBC..... we needed a big match". Edge: "So this is for ratings?! So you can line your pockets some more...... is that it, Shane-O"?! Shane: "It was either that.... or The Undertaker. Now if you want me to switch Cena for the deadman.... you just come and let me know". THE SHOT GOES BACK TO THE RING WHERE JOE COREY AND PAUL HEYMAN ARE. COREY HAS A MICROPHONE. Joe Corey: "So who's it gonna be?! Who wants to come out here and accept my King of the Ring challenge?! It can be any former winner"! Cole: "What is this all about"? Corey: "C'mon.... is it gonna be that big overweight stiff, Nuke? How did he ever win in the first place? Maybe the boss himself, Shane-O-Mac can come out here, I mean....... SUDDENLY, "SAVE ME" BY BURN HALO STARTS UP AND JORDAN ROCKWELL COMES OUT. COREY DROPS THE MIC, READY TO FIGHT AS PAUL HEYMAN GETS OUT OF THE RING. Lawler: "I think he's got his answer"! Cole: "It's the Franchise! Jordan Rockwell has accepted the challenge"! ROCKWELL GETS INTO THE RING BUT JUST BEFORE THE BELL SOUNDS, MARK HENRY COMES OUT. ROCKWELL LEAPS OUT OF THE RING, RIGHT ONTO HENRY AND THE FIGHT IS ON. Cole: "There's Henry and Rockwell is all over him! Rockwell is like a man possessed"! AS ROCKWELL AND HENRY BRAWLED UNTIL OFFICIALS CAME OUT TO SEPERATE THEM, SYLVESTER TERKAY CAME OUT AND GOT INTO THE RING. Lawler: "And now here's the manbear! We're gonna have a showdown right here in Orlando"! Cole: "Look at Terkay.... he's giving Corey a free shot"! TERKAY STOOD IN FRONT OF COREY, HIS HANDS BEHIND HIS BACK, BEGGING HIM TO HIT HIM. COREY SEEMED READY TO DO IT, BUT WAS VERY HESITANT BEFORE LEAVING THE RING TO SOME SERIOUS BOOS. Cole: "Corey passes on taking a shot at the man he will face at King of the Ring". Lawler: "Some serious mind games being played here tonight, Michael"! THE SHOT GOES BACK TO WHERE CHAOS WOLF IS AND HE IS TALKING TO A MAN WHO PAINTS FACES. IT IS NOW CLEAR THAT HE IS AT UNIVERSAL STUDIOS THEME PARK AND SUDDENLY, SAMAIEL COMES OUT OF NOWHERE AND THE FIGHT IS ON. TERRIFIED PARK-GOERS SCATTER AS THE TWO SUPERSTARS FIGHT ALL OVER, RUNNING INTO SEVERAL STANDS. FINALLY, POLICE BEGIN TO CHASE THE MEN AS THE FIGHT GOES INTO THE SPIDERMAN 3-D RIDE AND THEY ARE OUT OF SIGHT AS THE SHOT FADES OUT. COMMERCIAL BREAK........ RETURN FROM BREAK.... BACKSTAGE...... WHEN MAIN EVENT RETURNS, TODD GRISHAM IS WITH A VERY IRATE JOE COREY. Todd Grisham: "Here with me at this time is Joe Corey who just issued the first ever King of the Ring challenge but it didn't seem you were able to make the impact you were looking for as...... COREY GRABS GRISHAM BY THE THROAT AND PUSHES HIM UP AGAINST THE WALL. Joe Corey: "You want impact..... you're all gonna get impact"! COREY RELEASES A STARTLED GRISHAM BEFORE WALKING AWAY. 2008 King of the Ring Tournament 2nd Round Vladimir Kozlov vs. Nails Nails knew he was in for a fight with the big Russian here and he hit him with everything he had, including a headbutt with the hockey mask. Even then, Kozlov felt no affects before using a push kick to send Nails across the ring. Nails flew at him with a stiff forearm to the head before going to the body with some punches to the abdominal area. Kozlov was able to catch his arm before lifting him up over his head and slamming him hard to the mat. Kozlov then waited for Nails to get up, running at him but Nails used a drop toehold before stomping on the back of Kozlov's head. Nails knew he needed something big to take out the Moscow Mauler, so he went to his back pocket and pulled out the brass knucks. Referee Charles Robinson saw this and tried to prevent Nails from using them and getting himself disqualified. But as this was going on, Kozlov got up and headbutted the chest of the hardcore icon, knocking him to the mat. Kozlov then covered him and hooked the leg to get the win. Match Time: 6:05 CAMERAS GO OUTSIDE THE BUILDING AND SHOW A LARGE VIDEO SCREEN PROJECTING THE ACTION OUTSIDE OF THE AMWAY ARENA. THE CAMERA PANS DOWN TO SHOW THE REQUIEM WATCHING FROM THE ARENA STEPS. KEVIN THORN FOCUSES IN ON THE MAN HE WILL FACE IN THE SEMI-FINALS. THE SHOT GOES BACK TO THE RING WHERE EDDIE SAINT JAMES AND MONICA ARE STANDING NEXT TO A LARGE PIECE OF PLAIN GLASS. Eddie Saint James: "Okay, Mike, if you're back there, Monica and I thought we'd be nice enough to invite you out for a magic trick". Cole: "This should be interesting. From what I'm told, Eddie Saint James is going to attempt to walk through this piece of glass". "KING OF KINGS" BY MOTORHEAD COMES ON AND MONEY MIKE STEPS OUT TO A TON OF HEAT. Lawler: "And here comes the man he will face at King of the Ring to get a closer look". Cole: "Well ever since meeting up with Criss Angel, Monica and Eddie Saint James have claimed to be illusionists". Money Mike: "Alright, Eddie, I think this is close enough. You and your little mutt there don't deserve to be any closer to me than this.... so let's see your little magic trick". AFTER A BRIEF PAUSE, THE SAINT PERFORMS THE TRICK AND APPEARS TO WALK THROUGH THE GLASS. THE CROWD APPLAUDS IN APPRECIATION. Lawler: "Wow! He did it"! Cole: "And look at this". MONICA RAISES HER HAND AND A PLAYING CARD FALLS FROM THE RAFTERS. THE CAMERA ZOOMS IN ON IT BEFORE MIKE PICKS IT UP...... IT's THE JOKER CARD. MONEY MIKE PICKS IT UP AND JUST GRINS. Cole: "What's the meaning of all of this"? Lawler: "It's hard to say..... but it's definitely getting very weird"! Cole: "At King of the Ring, it will be Money Mike one on one with The Saint"! COMMERCIAL BREAK............ RETURN FROM BREAK...... RINGSIDE...... Edge and John Cena vs. Mr. Kennedy and Randy Orton Before the match started, Mr. Kennedy got on the microphone and wanted to make sure he could trust Randy Orton long enough to win this match. Orton assured him they could and the match was on, mostly with Kennedy taking on Edge. The two had a great series in the ring but after catching Kennedy with the Edge-a-Cution, Edge went for the spear and Kennedy avoided it, making the tag to Orton. Orton came in and popped Edge with 3 right hands before whipping him to the ropes for a nice dropkick. Orton then taunted the crowd, drawing some harsh boos. But Edge got up and took Orton down with a double leg, landing some right hands before making the tag to Cena. Cena came in and was all over Orton, hitting a series of moves that included a flying shoulder block, his swinging sideslam and the 5 Knuckle Shuffle. But as referee Mike Chioda was occupied with Kennedy, Orton got in a low blow on Cena. But as he got down, stalking him for the "RKO", Kennedy came into the ring with a taste of his own medicine, giving him a running kick to the face! Orton was seeing stars as Cena got up and picked him up for the "F-U" which led to the 1.........2.........3! Cole: "Mr. Kennedy just turned on Orton and cost his own team the match"! Lawler: "Kennedy wanted to make sure he could trust Orton, and then he went and did that"! "MY TIME IS NOW" PLAYED AS CENA CELEBRATED IN THE RING BEFORE LOCKING HIS EYES ON EDGE, WHO WAS MAKING HIS WAY TO THE BACK. Cole: "Cena and Edge aren't happy they won this match together, that I can promise, and at King of the Ring..... wait a minute, something's going on in the back". BACKSTAGE......... THE UNDERTAKER IS SHOWN IN THE BACK, LYING IN A POOL OF HIS OWN BLOOD AS TWF OFFICIALS AND EMTs SURROUND HIM IN A PANIC. IT IS A CHAOTIC SCENE AS THE SHOT FADES OUT............ OFF AIR.................
