There was a huge, pay-per-view like crowd in Toronto for Main Event on NBC and the night got started with 3 great matches on Uprising. J.J. "The Ram" Ramplin w/ William Regal vs. Matt Sydal (invitee) J.J. Ramplin came out with William Regal who was in a managerial role, instructing and guiding Ramplin throughout the match. The Ram looked invigorated and like a new wrestler and after taking out Sydal with the Ram's Horns, he delivered a sitdown powerbomb that he calls "Dead Weight" to get the victory. Jeff Hardy w/ Matt Hardy vs. Danny Basham w/ Doug Basham After becoming number one contenders, the Hardy Boyz were looking to gain some more momentum over the Rampage tag team champs with a singles victory. But after being able to pull the switch, Doug Basham came in and caught Jeff with a flying leg lariat, covering him for the 3 count and giving credit for the win to Danny. Orlando Jordan vs. CM Punk It was time for PrimeTime's slot on Uprising and Jordan tried to wear out Punk with his boxing. But after blocking a right cross, Punk came back with a series of kicks and a backhand chop to the face before hitting an inverted sambo suplex, known as the Pepsi Twist in some circles. He then locked in his submission hold, the Anaconda Vice and that was it for OJ. CM PUNK's MUSIC PLAYED AND HE CELEBRATED HIS BIG VICTORY WITH THE CROWD AS THE NBC LOGO WAS DISPLAYED, SETTING THINGS UP FOR MAIN EVENT. MAIN EVENT GOES LIVE THE MAIN EVENT LOGO IS SHOWN WITH BOTH THE RAMPAGE AND PRIMETIME LOGOS CIRCLING AROUND IT. THE TWO LOGOS THEN COLLIDE AND FORM INTO THE TRADEMARK NBC PEACOCK LOGO. THE SHOT THEN OPENS INSIDE A VERY LOUD AIR CANADA CENTRE. Todd Grisham: "Welcome to TWF Main Event where we have traveled north of the border to go live on NBC"! Honky Tonk Man: "And with MeltDown less than two weeks away, there will be some great action tonight, almost makes it worth having to work with you Todd"! "BEFORE I FORGET" BY SLIPKNOT COMES ON AND THE FANS BEGIN TO CHEER AS TAZ STEPS OUT. Grisham: "Yeah, I was thrilled to be sitting here with you and your ridiculous Elvis impersonator costume. But we are wasting no time in getting into the action tonight.... here comes the street thug from Red Hook"! HTM: "And there are many out there who say that Taz has yet to be challenged thus far in the TWF but he has a major matchup with Edge at MeltDown"! SNITSKY's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT, TRAILED BY EDGE TO PLENTY OF BOOS. Grisham: "But first he's gotta get by Snitsky who let's not forget, attacked Taz in the parking garage after Edge finally stepped up to the plate and challenged Taz to a fight, like a man"! HTM: "Oh go and defend Taz all you want Todd, whether you know it or not, there's a line a mile long waiting for a shot at this guy"! Taz vs. Snitsky w/ Edge The bell sounded and that started the engine of Taz who ducked a clothesline from Snitsky before delivering a crazy cradle suplex. Taz then got down on the mat, locking in a bow and arrow submission move on Snitsky. After releasing the hold, Taz put the boots to Snitsky before going for the "Tazmission". But Snitsky shook him off and caught him with a high back elbow as he charged in. After whipping Taz to the corner, Snitsky followed in with a hard clothesline before trying to load him up for the sidewinder slam. But Taz wasn't having it, slipping free and delivering a german suplex, dumping Snitsky right on his head. Edge got on the apron, but Taz knocked him to the floor with a right hand. Taz almost turned into a running boot but narrowly avoided it and then got on the Tazmission, taking the much bigger Snitsky to the mat and within seconds, it was over. Match Time: 5:25 Grisham: "And just like that, Taz has choked out Snitsky"! HTM: "That's cheating! That is an illegal hold Todd"! "BEFORE I FORGET" PLAYED AGAIN AS TAZ HAD HIS HAND RAISED BY REFEREE MIKE ENOS BEFORE STARING DOWN AT EDGE WHO WIPED HIS LIP, CHECKING FOR BLOOD. Grisham: "What a war that will be at MeltDown! I think Edge is questioning whether he can beat this guy or not"! BACKSTAGE AREA....... CAMERAS SHOW AXL IRVIN TALKING TO TRACI BROOKS IN THE BACK WHEN RANDY ORTON COMES UP. RANDY LOOKS VERY ENAMORED WITH THE LOVELY TRACI AND AXL CATCHES HIM CHECKING HER OUT. Randy Orton (putting his arms out): "Whoa man, hold up, it's not like that. Actually, I wanted to tell you that if you need any help with Johnny Hazard tonight, I got ya". Axl Irvin: "Thanks Randy, but I think I can handle Hazard, after all, you're looking at the new Nature Boy". Orton: "And that reminds me, I love what you're doing to that old fossil Ric Flair man. Maybe it will finally be what he needs to get out of this business. Anyway, I'll catch ya later". ORTON WALKS AWAY AS AXL AND TRACI LOOK ON. COMMERCIAL BREAK...... A COMMERCIAL FOR BUD LIGHT IS SHOWN FOLLOWED BY A PREVIEW FOR NFL FOOTBALL. RETURN FROM BREAK.... RINGSIDE..... THE MAIN EVENT ON NBC RETURNS WITH MARK JINDRAK IN THE RING, GETTING LOOSE. Grisham: "Welcome back to Main Event and for those of you just joining us, Taz has already choked out Snitsky tonight and we still have two of the biggest tag team matches in TWF history to come, later in the show"! SYLVESTER TERKAY's MUSIC HITS AND HE STEPS OUT, A DETERMINED SCOWL ON HIS FACE. HTM: "And what about this guy Todd? Easily one of the most impressive specimens I've seen step foot inside a wrestling ring, he's a beast"! Grisham: "Sylvester Terkay has definitely made his mark in the TWF over on Rampage and Mark Jindrak will provide the opposition tonight for someone who held an amatuer wrestling record of 71-1". Sylvester Terkay vs. Mark Jindrak Jindrak really had no chance in this one as Terkay came out very aggressively, backing him into the corner with a blitzing attack. After whipping him to the ropes for a huge powerslam, Terkay waited for him to get up and then went at him with kicks and punches that looked like something out of ultimate fighting. Terkay then scored with a discus backhand that seemed to split Jindrak's mouth open. Terkay bounced off the ropes and missed with an elbow drop, buying Jindrak some time. Jindrak hit him with his big dropkick, knocking him into the ropes. But Terkay bounced back and Jindrak tried to throw his left hook but Terkay blocked it and turned it into a double underhook belly to belly. Jindrak was shot to the corner and Terkay moved in, lifting him to the top rope. He then picked him up as if to deliver a suplex but from a cradle position, he just dropped Jindrak on the back of his head. Terkay made the cover and that was it. Match Time: 3:22 Grisham: "Wow, you could feel the impact of that manuever all the way over here and you can chalk up another victory for Sylvester Terkay". HTM: "You mark my words, it's gonna be a long, long time before this man tastes defeat". JINDRAK WAS BLEEDING FROM THE MOUTH OR NOSE AREA AND TERKAY JUST LEFT, SHOWING NO CONCERN AT ALL. Grisham: "Well it is something very foreign to this man and you may be right Honky, who can defeat this guy"?! BACKSTAGE....... ARMANDO ALEJANDRO ESTRADA IS SHOWN IN THE BACK WHEN JIMMY HART COMES UP. Armando Alejandro Estrada: "Aha.... Jimmy Hart..... the Mouth of the South! What can I do... for ju"? Jimmy Hart: "Look Armando, I am having a hell of a time with Max Ogden! Now he's stolen my megaphone! So I thought I would check to see if your Samoan Bulldozer would be willing to help me get that back". Estrada: "Aha.... so ju are looking for some.... como se dice...... assistance? I'll tell you what, I will go talk with Umaga and see what we can work out..... we'll be getting back to ju". ESTRADA WALKS AWAY AND HART SEEMS VERY PLEASED. "COME ON" BY WATERPROOF BLONDE HITS AND THE BLOOD BROTHERS MAKE THEIR WAY TO THE RING TO A MIXED REACTION, BUT THERE ARE DEFINITELY MORE CHEERS THAN BOOS FROM THE CROWD. WHEN THEY GET TO THE RING, DUSTIN KASH GRABS A M1CROPHONE, AS MOST OF THE CROWD CHANTS "DUSTIN KASH" OVER AND OVER.
Grisham: "Dustin Kash was gigantic on the Ontario indy scene and was easily the most popular indy superstar in Ontario. Kash is like an idol to these people, therefore I'm not surprised to see all this chanting".
Dustin Kash: "HELLO TORONTO!! You see, tonight is the first time I compete on live TV in front of my home crowd of Toronto, Ontario, Canada"!
HTM: "Cheap pop".
Grisham: "Oh don't be so ridiculous, this guy is just so proud to be Canadian".
Kash: "And coincidentally enough, tonight is going to be the first time I hold TWF gold, ain't that right Sean.
O'HAIRE HOLDS UP HIS STAFF AS PROBABLY 75% OF THE CROWD CHEERS.
Tonight, this match is dedicated to all of you people… the greatest fans in the world… my true family… and tonight… we will prove to you guys exactly why they call us The Blood Brothers"!
DUSTIN KASH SLIDES OUT OF THE RING AND GRABS A CANADIAN FLAG FROM A FAN IN THE FRONT ROW. KASH BRINGS IT IN AND WAVES IT AS THE WHOLE HOME CROWD GOES ABSOLUTELY NUTS.
Grisham: "I can't believe these guys are actually getting cheered"!
Howard Finkel: "And their opponents, they are the TWF Tag Team champions, weighing in at a combined weight of......
Kash: "Hey Fink, take a seat, nothing personal, but I got this. And here are our opponents and the soon to be former TWF Tag team champions, coming off of their sailor moon themed, same sex wedding last weekend, they are the Orient Express"! THE ORIENT EXPRESS' MUSIC HITS AND THEY COME OUT WEARING THE TAG TEAM TITLES WITH SONNY ONOO, WHO IS POINTING HIS FINGER IN ANGER AT THE BLOOD BROTHERS. Grisham: "I don't think Sonny Onoo cared for that comment, but like them or not, they have had one of the more impressive title reigns in recent history"! HTM: "But I have this feeling that that will all come to an end tonight, Sean O'Haire and Dustin Kash make one heck of a team in my opinion, almost as good as my old Rhythm and Blues team"! TWF Tag Team Title Match Challengers: The Blood Brothers vs. The Orient Express w/ Sonny Onoo Kato started the match off with Dustin Kash and the two locked up. Kato quickly took him to the mat with a Japanese armdrag and extended it into an armbar. But Kash got to his feet and flipped him over. After hitting the ropes, he drilled Kato with a clothesline before tagging in O'Haire. Kato got to his feet and he and O'Haire circled each other, both standing in martial arts fighting positions. Kato threw a kick but O'Haire caught his foot and went for a back footsweep but Kato jumped over his foot and at the same time, kicked O'Haire right in the face. Tanaka tagged into the match and Kato used the ropes to slingshot him from the apron right onto O'Haire with an elbow drop. He made the cover but could only get a 2 count. Tanaka then locked in a nerve hold, grabbing at the neck area of O'Haire. O'Haire was able to get to his feet and using his much bigger frame, elbowed Tanaka in the ribs before pushing him to the ropes. He dropped his head too early and Tanaka kicked him in the chest but after he hit the ropes, O'Haire found the mark with a back chop to the gut. He then tagged in Kash who went to the top rope and flew off with a double axe handle to the square of the back, shades of Randy Savage. Kash then viciously kicked and stomped at Tanaka before whipping him to the corner and following in but Tanaka hit a back elbow to the mouth. He then whipped Kash to the ropes and leapfrogged him but when he went for a monkey flip, Kash grabbed his feet and rolled him over before picking him up into a wheelbarrow drop. Sean O'Haire then tagged back into the match and he kept the pressure on Tanaka with kicks to the legs and sides before whipping him to the ropes but Tanaka came off and flipped off the back of O'Haire, landing on his feet nad blasting O'Haire with a savat kick when he turned around. Tanaka quickly tagged in Kato and he came in and grabbed O'Haire from behind as Onoo called for their finisher. But O'Haire moved and Tanaka superkicked his own partner! Kash then came into the ring as O'Haire dumped Tanaka out and Kash grabbed Kato for a side russian legsweep, completing it after O'Haire exploded through him with a clothesline. O'Haire made the cover and referee Charles Robinson issued the 1......2........3! Match Time: 7:17 "COME ON" PLAYED AGAIN AND ROBINSON HANDED KASH AND O'HAIRE THE TITLES AS MOST OF THE CROWD ACTUALLY CHEERED. Grisham: "What about this?! The Blood Brothers have knocked the Orient Express off the top of the mountain! Sonny Onoo is in shock"! HTM: "Because up to this point, his team has been unbeatable Todd"! Grisham: "The Blood Brothers have ended one of the longest title reigns, for any title here in the TWF and they did it right here on Main Event..... wow"! BACKSTAGE........ CAMERAS IN THE BACK CATCH TRAVIS WAKEMAN AND BATISTA, WHO HAVE JUST CONFRONTED EACH OTHER. Travis Wakeman: "So..... I gotta team with the guy who once used his New Year's resolution to prevent me from ever being the Universal champion again". Batista (patting the belt around his waist): "And it looks like it worked out pretty good for me..... huh"? Wakeman: "Look man, I don't like you, you don't like me, it's no secret. But we have our MeltDown opponents in this match tonight and I was just told by Mick Foley that if we win, I get to pick the first stipulation for my three stages of hell match at MeltDown, but if they win, High Octane gets that selection". Batista: "Ah.... so now you need my help". Wakeman: "Look, I'm going out there tonight to win that match and I'll do it with.... or without you..... your choice". WAKEMAN WALKS OFF AS THE SHOT FADES OUT. COMMERCIAL BREAK........ A COMMERCIAL FOR NIKE IS SHOWN FOLLOWED BY ONE FOR STARBURST. RETURN FROM BREAK..... DRESSING ROOM..... THE MAIN EVENT ON NBC RETURNS AND MATT CRUZ IS SHOWN GOING THROUGH HIS LOCKER WHEN REY MYSTERIO COMES UP. Rey Mysterio: "Hey Cruz, what's up homey"? Matt Cruz: "What's up Rey"? Mysterio: "Look man, I've been thinking and I wanted to talk to you face to face. I think that you deserve a King of Cable title shot man". CRUZ TURNS TO FACE REY Cruz: "You sure about that"? Mysterio: "Yeah man, you haven't gotten a shot at it, and you deserve one bro". Cruz: "But are you sure you want to defend your title.... against me"? Mysterio: "Yes, I'm sure. In fact, I'll go look for Foley and make it happen". Cruz: "Look Rey, before you do that, I'd think this over. I mean, you deserve a good, long title reign". CRUZ LEAVES THE DRESSING ROOM AND REY IS SCRATCHING HIS HEAD, TRYING TO MAKE SENSE OF WHAT HE SAID. IN THE RING, THE SPIRIT SQUAD's MUSIC IS PLAYING AND BOTH NICKY AND MIKEY ARE IN THE RING. HTM: "Was Matt Cruz just insinuating that he would end Mysterio's title reign if there is a match"? Grisham: "Uh yeah, that's what it sounded like to me". THE CROWD POPS LOUDLY AS "WANNA KNOW" BY OBIE TRICE HITS AND MAX OGDEN COMES OUT. HE IS CARRYING JIMMY HART's MEGAPHONE WITH HIM. Grisham: "Rampage general manager Mick Foley has ruled that only one member of the Spirit Squad will be allowed at ringside tonight and just to switch things up, The Spirit Squad has inserted Nicky into this match, it was scheduled to be Mikey". HTM: "Well rumor has it that Johnny Jeter has taken Ashley K. out on a date tonight but I've got to comment on Max Ogden coming out here with my old manager Jimmy Hart's megaphone. I know how much that megaphone means to Jimmy so I hope Ogden is happy with himself.... he should be in jail"! NICKY AND MIKEY WERE DISCUSSING STRATEGY WHEN OGDEN CAME UP AND YELLED IN THE MEGAPHONE, RIGHT INTO BOTH THEIR EARS. BOTH MEN JUMPED AND GRABBED AT THEIR EARS AS THE CROWD LAUGHED AND CHEERED. Grisham: "And look at that, he's making good use of it"! Nicky w/ Mikey vs. Max Ogden With the Spirit Squad still reeling from the effects of the megaphone, Ogden clotheslined Mikey out of the ring before dropping Nicky with a right hand. After an inverted atomic drop, Ogden hit the ropes and drilled Nicky with a flying forearm. Ogden got up and got the crowd into it as he was all fired up. But when he went to the top rope, Mikey distracted him enough by trying to get him down that Nicky very impressively ran up the turnbuckle and pulled him off with a belly to belly throw. From there, Nicky hit a big clothesline and Ogden looked stunned as he tried to get up. Nicky tried to lock him into a northern lights suplex but Ogden kneed his way out of it before using a drop toehold and then a low dropkick right to the face of Nicky. Ogden pulled him up and whipped him to the ropes for a flying back elbow. He then got his second shot on Mikey in the match, taking him out with a baseball slide before going to the apron. But just then, Armando Alejandro Estrada and Umaga made their way down the ramp to a lot of boos. Armando got on the apron, distracting referee Jack Doan on the other side of the ring as Umaga pulled Ogden off the apron and caught him with a thumb to the throat area before ramming him back first into the steel ring post. Umaga then rolled Ogden into the ring before grabbing Jimmy Hart's megaphone. Ogden staggered to his feet, choking and Nicky rolled him up from behind as Doan dropped to make the 3 count. Match Time: 4:33 Grisham: "What the hell just happened"?! HTM: "Well remember Jimmy Hart making a deal to get his megaphone back earlier? Well it just paid off"! OGDEN GOT TO HIS FEET, STILL HOLDING HIS THROAT AS THE SPIRIT SQUAD LEFT WITH THE WIN AND UMAGA AND ESTRADA LOOKED ON FROM ATOP THE RAMP. Grisham: "Umaga has come out here and not only cost Ogden this match, but he's also gotten the megaphone back for Jimmy Hart"! HTM: "That oughta teach him to steal, Todd! In fact, that's what our justice system needs to think about! Somebody shoplifts, just send Umaga after them, ahahahahaha"! BACKSTAGE....... CAMERAS IN THE BACK SHOW MONEY MIKE AND STEPHANIE McMAHON MEETING WITH JOE COREY. Stephanie: "I don't know Mike, you know how I feel about this. I don't trust Corey at all". Joe Corey: "Oh, like I couldn't wait to have you in my corner again, Steph". Money Mike: "Look, I know you and I don't see eye to eye Corey, and I know I pretty much gave your career the knockout blow at WrestleMania, but just for one night, we can........ Corey: "I intend to get it all back after I kick Rockwell's ass at MeltDown. And then.... both of you will realize that the Horsemen would still be going strong if you never got rid of me! See you in the ring". COREY WALKS AWAY AND MIKE SEEMS TO FIND HIS COMMENTS FUNNY. "LIT UP" BY BUCKCHERRY HITS AND AXL IRVIN STEPS OUT WITH TRACI BROOKS TO PLENTY OF BOOS. Grisham: "Well here comes the self proclaimed new Nature Boy and...... wait a minute........ JUST THEN, RIC FLAIR COMES OUT AND ATTACKS AXL FROM BEHIND, BEATING THE HELL OUT OF HIM AS A HORRIFIED TRACI LOOKS ON. AFTER RAMMING THE BACK OF AXL's HEAD INTO THE STEEL RAMP AT LEAST 10 TIMES, FLAIR PICKED HIM UP AND DELIVERED A PILEDRIVER RIGHT ON THE STEEL. OFFICIALS FROM THE BACK CAME OUT TO PULL FLAIR OFF WHEN "BIOHAZARD" BY NEW WORLD DISORDER HIT AND JOHNNY HAZARD CAME OUT. HTM: "What the hell is going on here"?! Grisham: "Well it looks to me like the real Nature Boy came out here to teach Axl some respect"! JOHNNY HAZARD PULLED AXL UP AND WALKED HIM DOWN THE RAMP BY THE HAIR BEFORE TOSSING HIM INTO THE RING STEPS. FLAIR TRIED TO COME TO THE RING AND SEEMED LIKE HE HAD LOST HIS MIND BUT REFEREE MICKEY HENSON GOT IN HIS WAY. THIS ALLOWED HAZARD TO SLAM A STEEL CHAIR OVER THE HEAD OF AXL BEFORE ROLLING HIM INTO THE RING. THE BEAUTIFUL GIRLS OF HAZARD's HAREM MADE THEIR WAY TO THE RING AS HENSON ASKED FOR THE BELL TO START THE MATCH. Axl Irvin w/ Traci Brooks vs. Johnny Hazard w/ The Harem Hazard was already in complete control as Axl looked like he didn't know what hit him, but he still wanted to issue a statement. Flair continually distracted Henson as Hazard used several foreign objects to batter Axl. Axl was able to get in a low blow before hitting Hazard with a clothesline. Traci tried to get Axl out of the ring as they were looking to hightail it but Hazard had wrapped a pair of brass knucks around his fist and he spun Axl around, dropping him with a right hand. Axl was dead weight as Hazard pulled him up but as Flair watched with a big grin on his face, Hazard delivered the "Toxic Drop" and covered Axl for the 1........2......3. Match Time: 4:19 Grisham: "Well Axl Irvin sure as heck walked into a hornets' nest tonight, running into two guys who were in foul moods"! HTM: "Well for one, that match should've never been made official and if I were Axl, I'd be having words with someone but I bet he's questioning his decision to turn down Randy Orton's offer now"! "BIOHAZARD" PLAYED AND FLAIR LEFT WITH HAZARD, LOOKING BACK AT AXL WHO WAS GETTING ATTENTION FROM TRACI WHO LOOKED VERY CONCERNED. Grisham: "Well two questions come out of this for MeltDown.... what is Randy Orton in store for in the Hazardous to your Health match and is Axl Irvin regretting the way he's treated his former mentor, Ric Flair"?! BACKSTAGE....... TRAVIS WAKEMAN IS SHOWN TALKING ON A CELL PHONE WHEN MELINA COMES UP WITH SHOPPING BAGS IN BOTH HANDS. Travis Wakeman: "Uh, I'll have to call you back". WAKEMAN ENDS THE CALL Melina: "Hey..... look what I got. MELINA REACHES INTO THE BAGS AND PULLS OUT ALL SORTS OF BRAND NEW DENVER BRONCOS APPAREL. A JERSEY, HAT, WARM UP PANTS AND A PULLOVER. Wakeman: "What is all this"? Melina: "I thought I'd go out and buy it. A number one contender has to be in style, ya know. And..... (she reaches into her pocket and then drops some keys in Wakeman's hand) I went and got your car detailed". Wakeman: "Melina..... I have a match to worry about". WAKEMAN WALKS AWAY AND MELINA LOOKS VERY DISAPPOINTED. COMMERCIAL BREAK...... A COMMERCIAL FOR LOTRIMIN ULTRA IS SHOWN FOLLOWED BY A PREVIEW FOR "THE MARINE". RETURN FROM BREAK..... RINGSIDE..... THE MAIN EVENT ON NBC RETURNS WITH "MIDDLE OF NOWHERE" BY THE BLANK THEORY PLAYING AND SHANE THOMPSON IS SHOWN COMING TO THE RING. Grisham: "We are back on the Main Event and ready for interbrand tag team action! Here comes the man who will challenge Batista for the Universal title at MeltDown"! HTM: "The man who is going to exploit Batista's inability to wrestle, the man who is going to prove that Batista is not an unstoppable force! That man is Shane Thompson"! AN ENGINE LOUDLY REVS UP AND LEADS INTO "DOWN WITH THE SICKNESS" BY DISTURBED, BRINGING HIGH OCTANE OUT TO A MIXED REACTION. HE HAS THE TWF WORLD TITLE AROUND HIS WAIST. Grisham: "Well he couldn't have asked for a better tag team partner tonight than the man who within the course of a year, has worn the TWF World title three times"! HTM: "He's been the underdog his entire career and he has thrived in that role Todd but at MeltDown, he has a chance to put himself along with the top names in the history of this business"! "I WALK ALONE" BY SALIVA KICKS UP AND OUT COMES BATISTA TO A PYRO FILLED, HUGE POPPED ENTRANCE. THE UNIVERSAL TITLE IS AROUND HIS WAIST. Grisham: "For weeks, Batista has asked and asked for Shane Thompson to come out and tell him face to face that he is what is ruining wrestling, as Thompson has insinuated and yet, Thompson hasn't done it"! HTM: "Shane Thompson owes this man no explanation, Todd". THE CROWD POPS AS "MAKE WAY" BY METHOD MAN PLAYS AND TRAVIS WAKEMAN COMES OUT, TRAILED BY MELINA. Grisham: "And what about what we heard earlier? If Wakeman and Batista win this match, then Wakeman will get to select the stipulation in the first stage of the three stages of hell match he has with High Octane at MeltDown"! HTM: "Oh but if Thompson and Octane win, Octane will get to make that selection and not only that, but he and Thompson will have all the momentum in the world on their side"! Rampage vs. PrimeTime "High Octane" Damion West and Shane Thompson vs. Batista and Travis Wakeman w/ Melina The bell sounded and Batista and Wakeman seemed to have some words over who would start the match. Melina got on the apron and yelled at Batista in defense of Wakeman which allowed Thompson to get in a cheap shot. Batista charged but missed with a clothesline and Thompson used a drop toehold before High Octane came in with a low dropkick to the head. Thompson and West then locked in a very unique double hammerlock before referee Mike Chioda finally made Thompson get out. High Octane tried to keep Batista on the mat, but he was giving up so much size. Batista was able to get to his feet, breaking the hold with a back elbow before picking High Octane up for a Samoan drop. After back to back clotheslines, Wakeman wanted the tag and got it. He came in and tried to set High Octane up for the Sharpshooter but he saw it coming and used his legs to fight free. Wakeman pulled West up and whipped him to the ropes for a big powerslam though and then dropped to the mat with a fujiwara armbar on his MeltDown opponent. Thompson came in to break the hold with a stomp to the face and Wakeman got up, following Thompson back to the corner. High Octane popped up and drilled Wakeman with a flying wheel kick before getting a running start and kicking him right in the chest as he sat up. Thompson made the tag and locked in a form of the Crossface. Wakeman fought the hold but couldn't escape, only saving himself by reaching the bottom ring rope. West and Thompson would make a total of 6 more tags, wearing Wakeman down. Off an irish whip, Thompson blasted Wakeman with a yakuza kick before tagging in West. High Octane went to the top rope and flew off with a missile dropkick, catching Wakeman high on the right shoulder. He made the cover and got the 1......2........., but Wakeman was up. Again, High Octane went to the top rope and flew off with a crossbody block but Wakeman fell to the mat to avoid it. He then made a diving tag to Batista who came in the ring and smashed West with three straight clotheslines before hitting his big spinebuster. Thompson came into the ring and kicked Batista in the back of the head with a martial arts style shot but Wakeman came in, clotheslining Thompson and taking himself out of the ring as well. In the ring, High Octane hit the big superkick on Batista but caught him in the chest with it, knocking him back. Just then, Melina got up on the apron and sprayed something in West's eyes, allowing Batista to recover and haul him in for the "Batista Bomb". He put the TWF World champion down with authority as Chioda registered the 1........2.......3. Match Time: 9:08 Grisham: "With a huge assist from Melina, the Universal champion has pinned the World champion! That might be a TWF first Honky"! HTM: "Melina had no place in this match and High Octane is not gonna let this slide"! WAKEMAN AND MELINA LEFT, NOT EVEN STAYING TO CELEBRATE WITH BATISTA WHO LOOKED ON AS THOMPSON AND WEST LICKED THEIR WOUNDS. Grisham: "Those two matches are gonna be huge at MeltDown and all this tag team match did was make them bigger! So while we have a chance, let's take a look at what's in store for MeltDown, shall we"?! PROMO GRAPHICS FOR EACH MATCH ARE SHOWN ON THE MELTDOWN BACKGROUND. HTM: "On the Rampage side, Money Mike meets the man who revealed he was the Starman...... Jason Oliver"! Grisham: "TWF history will be made with Randy Orton meeting Johnny Hazard in the first ever Hazardous to your Health match"! HTM: "Does Ric Flair still have what it takes? Or will the new Nature Boy take him out at MeltDown"?! Grisham: "You said there was a long line waiting to face Taz! Well Edge is next in line, will he hand Taz his first lost or will he be choked out"?! HTM: "And what about this one, Joe Corey and Jordan Rockwell, two of the top names in the TWF, go one on one"! Grisham: "That in addition to the two huge title matches and we have what is shaping up to be one of the biggest pay-per-view events in TWF history"! JUST THEN, CHAOS WOLF AND CHAE COME TO THE RING. CHAOS WOLF IS IN STREET CLOTHES AND SEEMS EXTREMELY ANGRY AS HE DEMANDS A MICROPHONE. HTM: "Now what the hell is this?! I don't know about you Todd, but I don't have this on my notes". Chaos Wolf: "Enough is enough! I have had it up to here with this B.S. and tonight, it changes! Don't you dare! Don't you people dare sit there and act like you don't know what I'm talking about! Here we are, the Main Event on NBC and where am I? Where is Chaos Wolf?! Where the hell is the top up and comer in the TWF?! I'll tell ya, I'm in the same place I always am, being improperly used, not getting my chance to shine and being held back! So this goes to Shane McMahon, Vince McMahon and whatever other big shot needs to hear it! I.......... JUST THEN, THE SOUND OF BREAKING GLASS IS HEARD AND A FAMILIAR THEME SONG HITS. THE FANS GO ABSOLUTELY CRAZY WHEN "STONE COLD" STEVE AUSTIN COMES OUT. Grisham: "Oh my God.... look who it is! Stone Cold Steve Austin is in the house"! HTM: "What is he doing here"?! AUSTIN GETS INTO THE RING AND STANDS ACROSS FROM CHAOS WOLF AND CHAE AS AN EXTREMELY LOUD "AUSTIN" CHANT BREAKS OUT. Chaos Wolf: "What is this, old timers reunion? I'm not sure if you can tell, but this is my time. But, since you have very few brain cells left, I guess I'll........ JUST THEN, WOLF CATCHES A KICK TO THE GUT AND AUSTIN HITS THE STUNNER ON HIM. THEN, FOR GOOD MEASURE, HE DELIVERS ONE TO CHAE AS WELL! AUSTIN GETS DOWN NEAR THE EAR OF WOLF, YELLING SOMETHING AT HIM BEFORE POPPING UP, HOLDING THE MIC WOLF WAS USING. Grisham: "Austin has taken over Main Event! This crowd has lost it"! Stone Cold: "Get those pieces of trash outta here! Now..... down to business. Damn that felt good, bring that sum' bitch back so I can hit him with another Stunner! WOLF AND CHAE WERE SHOWN WALKING AWAY. Damn it feels good to be here! So why are you here Steve? Right, that's what you want to know, right? What? Well it seems that one of the feature matches at MeltDown needed a referee. So I get a call last week from my good friend Mick Foley asking me if I could keep order in a match between Joe Corey and Jordan Rockwell! THE CROWD CHEERS So I've got some beer on the way out, I'm gonna go grab a seat right over there and I'm gonna watch this next match"! AUSTIN's MUSIC HITS AGAIN AND THE CROWD IS GOING WILD IN CHEERS. Grisham: "Stone Cold Steve Austin will be the special referee at MeltDown"! HTM: "And he's gonna be a spectator for our main event"! AUSTIN GRABS A SEAT AND POPS OPEN A CAN OF BEER. Grisham: "Oh boy, I wouldn't want to go away! Joe Corey and Money Mike versus Rockwell and Oliver is next"! COMMERCIAL BREAK....... A COMMERCIAL NIKE IS SHOWN FOLLOWED BY AN NBC PROGRAMMING AD. RETURN FROM BREAK.... RINGSIDE..... BACK ON THE MAIN EVENT ON NBC, "LYING FROM YOU" BY LINKIN PARK HITS AND JOE COREY COMES OUT TO MOSTLY BOOS ALONG WITH PAUL HEYMAN. Grisham: "We have been waiting for this one since we heard it was signed, what a tag team match we have tonight"! HTM: "So many stories within the story here Todd, I can't imagine Corey and Money Mike being able to stay on the same page". Grisham: "Well we heard Corey's comments earlier but what I'm wondering is how he'll handle the fact that his match with Jordan Rockwell now has a special referee, one who is a former World champion at that". THE BOOS BEGIN TO REIGN DOWN AS MONEY MIKE's OLD THEME SONG, "LET's GO" BY TRICK DADDY HITS AND HE COMES OUT ALONG WITH STEPHANIE McMAHON. HTM: "Well I'm sure he'll have an opinion on it but Joe Corey does what he wants, when he wants. Look at when he showed up at Payback and attacked Jordan Rockwell"! "SUPERSTAR" BY SALIVA, JASON OLIVER's NEW ENTRANCE THEME HITS AND HE COMES OUT TO A HUGE CHEER. Grisham: "Well I think Paul Heyman had a lot to do with that decision but listen to this ovation..... Canada's own Jason Oliver"! HTM: "You mean Starman". Grisham: "Oh look out, Corey and Money Mike are on the same page so far, they've attacked Oliver"! Money Mike and "The Show" Joe Corey w/ Stephanie McMahon and Paul Heyman vs. Jordan Rockwell and Jason Oliver Mike and Corey stomped away at the overmatched Oliver as the crowd went into a chant of "Rockwell". A burst of positive reaction was then heard as Rockwell ran out to help his partner. He hit both Corey and Mike with right hands and kicks. After clotheslining Mike over the top rope, Rockwell locked Corey in a sleeper hold as he charged in. Corey countered with a sitdown jawbreaker and tried to load him up for the "Showstopper". But Rockwell countered with a backbody drop, only to have his lights dimmed when he looked up as Mike smashed him over the head with the ring bell. Referee Jim Korderas threw the match out but the beating had just started. Corey got down and hammered Rockwell repeatedly with right hands to the head which had been busted open by the bell shot. Corey then pulled him up and delivered the "Showstopper" as Mike waited for Oliver to get up on the floor. When he did, he smashed the bell over his head as well. Stephanie got down near Oliver, shouting "You happy now? Did you get what you wanted Oliver"? Oliver used the barricade surrounding the fans to pull himself up but Mike cracked him with it again. Blood was flowing from Oliver's head and Stone Cold rose from his chair, a beer in hand. Mike and Austin engaged in a tense staredown before Mike just tossed the ring bell aside and grabbed Stephanie's hand, walking away. Austin took a sip of his beer as Mike raised he and Stephanie's arm to a lot of boos. Corey and Heyman had already left. Grisham: "Money Mike and Joe Corey have left their MeltDown opponents laying"! HTM: "Laying in pools of their own blood, Todd"! Grisham: "Has Oliver made the mistake of his life?! And will Corey be able to show the world what he can do against Rockwell"?! OFF AIR......
