As everyone knows, on January 28, 2003, the TWF will be holding the fourth annual Royal Rumble. At this time, here are some predictions.
1. Wakeman Enterprises vs. Chris Tirpak and Bradshaw
With all the problems in the Wakeman camp, look for Tirpak and Bradshaw to pull off the upset.
2. Toughman title match
Nails defending versus ZeroEx
While ZeroEx has gotten under the skin of the Toughman champion, he was out of in ring action for 10 months. That time will be the deciding factor since Nails hasn't left the ring at all. Look for Nails to successfully defend his title.
3. Raw tag team title match: Shawn Stasiak & Chuck Palumbo challenging Mr. Perfect& Chris Nowinski
While Mr. Perfect has been a tremendous influence on the rookie from Harvard, Shawn Stasiak and Chuck Palumbo know each other well from their days in WCW to their run in the New Breed. This one would be a great victory for either team but I think the champions will pull it out in the end.
4.TWF tag team title match
Evolution defending against Masahiro Chono and The Great Muta
Chono and Muta are two of Japan's greatest exports and will be trouble for the young champions. My prediction is new champions will be crowned!
5. TWF Women's title match
Akasha defends against Lita
This is a much anticipated match between the Women's champion and the red hot diva. With this rivalry building, it'll be intresting to see them go one on one. And while Lita is the underdog going into this, don't be suprised if she knocks off Akasha.
6. High Octane vs. Scott Steiner
This is going to be a good one to see with Nidia in Steiner's corner. But look for Damion West to show the world he's no gimmick.
7. 2 out of 3 falls: Kid Gundam vs. Chris Benoit
This one may be the show stealer of the night with the third fall being the deciding fall and I will have to go with the veteran and Chris Benoit.
8. Royal Rumble match
I have four picks to win this years rumble starting with Triple H and Kevin Nash from Raw, or Stone Cold or RVD from PrimeTime.
9. Universal title match
Jordan Rockwell defends against Drew Blood
This is the match to see when the most violent and bitter rivalry in the TWF begins again as part of the double main even. In the past, Drew Blood has had Rockwell's number. But the champion is a lot different now in 2003 then he was last year or the year before which makes this a must see. But I feel that either man would be a great representative for PrimeTime so i am torn on this match.
10. TWF World title match
The Undertaker defends against Ron Simmons
Part two of the double main event should be a great match with a lot of hard hitting and impactful exchanges. While simmons needs to win to prove the first title win was no fluke and that he can beat the phenom, look for arguably the greatest TWF superstar of all time to walk out with the title. You can't bet against The Undertaker or you may go broke so knowing his legacy and what he's done in his career my pick is The Undertaker will retain the title.
