Uprising Results Mathes taped at TWF Livewire Inn
"Awesome" Shane Thompson vs. Hayabusa Debuting a new name, "Awesome" Shane Thompson, previously known as Crazy Shane, took advantage of a miscalculation off the top rope by Hayabusa. After landing on his ailing neck, Hayabusa was dropped with a charging superkick and put away with the "Crash and Burn". Charlie Haas vs. Villano V (Invitee) Coming from the long line of Villanos, Villano V put up a great effort against Haas but eventually succumbed to the "Haas of Pain". Jamal and Rosey vs. Scott Vick and Scotty Anton (invitees) Vick and Anton seemed like a formidable foe for Jamal and Rosey but this was the best Jamal and Rosey looked in a long time. After Rosey's twirling sidewalk slam on Anton, Jamal put Vick away with the throw up samoan drop. Many of you may remember Vick and Anton as Sick Boy and Riggs from Raven's Flock in WCW. Sean O'haire vs. Vic Grimes (invitee) Grimes absorbed everything O'haire hit him with including a spinning back hand and a jumping back kick. But after missing with his Sean-Ton Bomb off the top rope, O'haire was put into a predicament by Grimes who went on a roll. A roll O'haire could only stop with a low blow, causing a DQ. But after the bell, O'haire dropped him with his reverse death valley driver. "RAP SUPERSTAR" THEN HITS AS PRIMETIME's UNIQUE MONTAGE VIDEO ROLLS. FIREWORKS POP OFF ALONG WITH A MIXTURE OF PYRO INSIDE THE ARCO ARENA WHEN IT COMES INTO VIEW. THE NOISE INSIDE IS DEAFENING AND THE CROWD FULL OF TWF FANS IS READY. THE CAMERA CIRCLES THE ARENA AND FLIES OVER THE ORANGE ROPED-SILVER MAT RING WHERE ALL THE ACTION WILL TAKE PLACE. Michael Cole: "Arco Arena is the site and we are live and kickin', ready for another huge night of the best wrestling action in the world"! Jesse Ventura: "It's so loud here Cole that you'd think the Sacramento Kings just won the NBA Title"! Cole: "Well can you blame them? Look at what we've got in store for you tonight! A PROMO GRAPHIC POPS UP WITH TRAVIS WAKEMAN AND THE BEAST ON ONE SIDE WHILE CHONO AND MUTA ARE ON THE OTHER. In addition to that tag team match, here's one I know you can't wait for Jesse"! ANOTHER GRAPHIC POPS UP TO PREVIEW THE ARIES/KURT ANGLE MATCH. Ventura: "It's a rematch from Payback and you're damn right I can't wait Cole"! "STAND BACK.... THERE's A HURRICANE COMING" IS HEARD AS THE HURRICANE's MUSIC HITS AND HE AND CYCLONE COME OUT TO A HUGE POP. Cole: "Speaking of not being able to wait, these two have gotten a shot against Mattitude"! Ventura: "Last week on PrimeTime we saw Hurricane bring this freak Cyclone out here to assault Matt Hardy and Jamie Noble and I have a feeling they are gonna regret that decision"! "LIVE FOR THE MOMENT" BY MONSTER MAGNET HITS AND MATT HARDY AND JAMIE NOBLE COME OUT TO A HOARD OF BOOS, BOTH SPORTING MATTITUDE T-SHIRTS. Cole: "It was The Hurricane who was selected by Matt Hardy to be the first follower of Mattitude but when Matt grew disatisfied with him, he kicked him out and added Jamie Noble. Hurricane and Cyclone, who are gonna go by the name the Dynamic Duo, say they are gonna fight all the evil and wrongdoing here on PrimeTime starting with Mattitude"! Ventura: "Well they'll have to venture back to the Hurri-cave tonight and come up with a plan b"! The Dynamic Duo vs. Mattitude As the bell sounded, Cyclone started things off with Jamie Noble. After a collar and elbow tie, they went to the corner and referee Brian Hebner asked for a break but Noble got in a kick to the gut followed by 2 european uppercuts. He then shot him to the corner and charged in but Cyclone moved and hit a jumping neckbreaker. He then tagged in The Hurricane who bounced off the ropes and had Cyclone hip toss him right onto Noble. Matt Hardy tried to come in but Hebner cut him off and Hurricane hit a spinwheel kick at the same time Cyclone took Noble down with a footsweep. Hurricane then posed for the crowd before going to the turnbuckle for the Blockbuster but Noble moved out of the way and tagged in Matt. Matt came in as a change of pace and slowed things down to his liking, taking the fight to the Hurricane. After knotting his forehead with several knuckle shots, Matt delivered a gutwrench suplex and covered him for a long 2 count. Matt then locked in a side headlock, sapping all of The Hurricane's energy but Hurricane came back with some elbows to the gut. He bounced off the ropes after getting free but Matt got in a knee to the gut. He then picked him up and dropped him with the Ricochet. But again, Hurricane kicked out at 2. Matt then locked him up for the Side Effect but The Hurricane elbowed his way out of it before grabbing him around the throat. But Matt prevented the Hurri-chokeslam with a back elbow of his own followed by a hard clothesline. Matt grew very focused and he had Hurricane set up for the Splash Mountain Bomb but Hurricane escaped and came back with a superkick that was right on the button. Hurricane made his way over and got the tag to Cyclone and Noble came in on the other side. As Cyclone picked Matt up, Noble came from behind with a hard forearm. He then set him up for the Tiger Bomb but Hurricane came in and almost took his head off with a superkick. Hurricane then brought the crowd alive after a Hurri-Chokeslam on Noble. Meanhwhile, Matt had Cyclone set up for the "Twist of Fate" but Cyclone escaped and got in a backhand to the stomach before hitting and X-Factor-like facebuster and hooking botth legs for the 1......2....3. Match Time: 8:45 Cole: "That's called the Touch Down and the Dynamic just touched down and caused a huge disaster for Mattitude"! HURRICANE AND CYCLONE LEFT TO A BIG POP. Ventura: "That's an upset Cole! Matt Hardy is not happy about this and I don't think these punks have heard the last of them"! Cole: "Well if they continue to cross the Dynamic Duo, we could see them make Mattitude part of a huge natural disaster"! Ventura: "We've got somethin' goin' on in the back Cole"! BACKSTAGE.... Ventura: "Well it's kinda confusing to me Cole because to me, the wrestling industry is nothing without all the great tradition behind it". "WHATEVER" BY OUR LADY PEACE HITS AND CHRIS BENOIT HEADS DOWN THE AISLE WITH DYLAN JANSENS. Cole: "Interesting matchup next here folks as the Crippler Chris Benoit is set to go one on one with one half of the tag team champs, Chris Tirpak". Ventura: "Great test for both men here as the physical Chris Tirpak takes on the technically sound Benoit". Chris Benoit w/ Dylan Jansens vs. Chris Tirpak The match started with both men looking for a spot to attack. Benoit went for a quick go behind but Tirpak threw a back elbow. Benoit ducked and had him hooked for a northern lights suplex but Tirpak blocked it with an elbow to the back of the head before bowling him over with a clothesline. After a delay suplex, Tirpak bounced off the ropes and dropped a huge elbow across his chest. Benoit was in trouble as Tirpak walked him to the corner and threw him face first into the turnpad. But he missed with a charging clothesline and Benoit hampered his chest with 4 consecutive knifedge chops. He then whipped him to the corner and followed in but walked into a boot to the face. Tirpak ran out but Benoit used a drop toe hold and locked in the Crossface. Tirpak was in a lot of pain but still had the presence of mind to stretch his foot out to the ring rope, forcing referee Chad Patton to call for a break. Benoit was pugnatious though, staying on Tirpak like a pitbull. After 3 hard knees to the lower back, Benoit impressively lifted him up as if to deliver a tombstone piledriver but instead dropped his shoulder down on his knee. Benoit then whipped him to the ropes an hit a running forearm. Bradshaw looked concerned as Benoit made a throat slashing gesture, to the delight of the crowd. He went to the top rope and came flying off with his headbutt but at the last second, Tirpak rolled out of the way. Tirpak then lifted him onto his shoulder and hit a running powerslam and hooked the leg for the 1.....2....., but Benoit shot his right shoulder up in the nick of time. Tirpak disputed the call but stayed on the attack. He pulled Benoit up but Benoit drove a headbutt into his abdominal region. Tirpak went for a clothesline but Benoit ducked and hit a german suple. Holding onto the lock, he rolled up and hit another. Benoit tried for a third but Tirpak threw a back elbow to break the hold. He bounced off the ropes looking for a big boot but Benoit caught his foot and threw it down to the mat. Tirpak threw a right hand but Benoit caught it and went down with an armbar before locking in the Crossface. This time, Tirpak had nowhere to go and he tapped out as "Whatever" hit again and the crowd went wild. Match Time: 8:11 Cole: "What a match! This crowd was spilt on their favoritism but they got their money's worth there"! Ventura: "Benoit's got a mic, what's this about"? Chris Benoit: "Cut the music! Bradshaw, Tirpak, don't go just yet. BRADSHAW AND TIRPAK STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE AISLE AND TURN AROUND. Chris, that was one helluva match! THE CROWD CHEERS IN AGREEMENT. But being as competitive as Dylan and myself are, we were wondering if you two will give us a shot at those tag team titles"! TIRPAK STARTS TO NOD HIS HEAD. Bradshaw: "Benoit, you and Dragon boy want a shot, you got one"! THE CROWD EXPLODES WITH CHEER. Cole: "Alright! That should be an even better match"! Ventura: "Tirpak and Bradshaw have held those titles for months now Cole but they better be wary, Benoit and Jansens are a great team". BACKSTAGE.... DRESSING ROOM.... IN THE FBI DRESSING ROOM, GUIDO MARITATO IS TALKING WITH JOHNNY STAMBOLI AND CHUCK PALUMBO ABOUT THE POKER GAME THEY WERE ALL IN LAST NIGHT WHEN THERE IS A KNOCK AT THE DOOR. Chuck Palumbo: "You expecting someone"? Johnny Stamboli: "It's probably those punks wantin' there money back". Guido Maritato: "Come in". THE DOOR SWINGS OPEN. IT's LESNAR, BATISTA AND SABLE. Brock Lesnar: "Boys, let's talk". KURT ANGLE's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT TO A HUGE POP. HE RAISES TWO FINGERS TO THE SKY AS HIS PYRO POUNDS OFF BEHIND HIM. Cole: "Here we go! Here comes the Olympic hero Kurt Angle and Jesse, he looks focused"! Ventura: "I hope he has one thing on his mind! Breaking Aries' freakin' ankle"! THE LIGHTS GO OUT AND A BLUE LIGHT SHONES DOWN FROM THE RAFTERS AS THE SOUND OF POURING RAIN AND THUNDER IS HEARD, WHICH LEADS INTO ARIES' MUSIC. HE APPEARS IN THE LIGHT AND SLOWLY MAKES HIS WAY OUT AS THE CROWD BOOS HIM WILDLY. Cole: "I hate to bring this up Jesse but it was Aries who defeated Kurt Angle at TWF Payback which has been the biggest..... Ventura: "We all know the story Cole. I let my emotions get the best of me and I cost Angle the match! But tonight, I'm gonna stay seated right here and watch Angle kick his ass"! Kurt Angle vs. Aries This turned out to be another 4 star matchup but it started out sluggishly. Finally, Aries blocked a right hand and stunned Angle with a headbutt before working the body with a series of shots to either kidney. He then locked in a front face lock and took him to the mat but that's where Angle is most dangerous. He escaped the hold and used a fireman's carry into a top wristlock to slow Aries down. But Aries was up to the challenge on the mat, showing he could compete with Angle in that area. After wringing his arm, Aries drilled him with a right hand but Angle ducked a short clothesline and hit a nice release german suplex. He then pounded the masked face of Aries with his overhand rights before whipping him to the corner. Aries stuck a foot in his face when he charged in but when he went for a kick to the body, Angle caught his foot and locked in the ankle lock but Aries was right by the ropes and he grabbed them immediately. Angle stayed on the attack, hitting another german suplex before going to the top rope. He got great elevation on a gorgeous moonsault but Aries got his knees up and Angle crumbled on the mat. Aries made the lateral press but only got a 2 count. With Angle reeling, Aries worked him over with some more right hands before dropping him with a well executed DDT. He made the cover and hooked the leg but could not put Angle away. But Aries was relentless, punishing Angle by picking him apart with his unmatched hand to hand combat skills. But as Aries stood over a fallen Angle, he grabbed his foot and had the ankle lock on again. But Aries come up with a quick escape and flipped over, throwing Angle off. Aries then got a kneelift right on Angle's chin, throwing him for a loop before bouncing off the ropes and dropping him with a clothesline. Aries then went out on the apron and flipped the crowd off before climbing to the top rope. But Angle sprung up and ran up the turnbuckle, bringing Aries off with an amazing overhead belly to belly suplex. Angle made the cover and got the 1.....2.......3. Match Time: 9:22 Ventura: "Yes! Yes"! ANGLE's MUSIC PLAYED AND HE GOT ON THE TURNBUCKLE WITH THE AMERICAN FLAG, WAVING IT PROUDLY AS ARIES LAY ON THE MAT. Cole: "Listen to this! These fans are deafening as old glory waves"! Ventura: "This is one of the proudest moments I can ever remember in wrestling Cole, excuse me for a moment"! VENTURA TAKES OFF HIS HEADSET AND GOES TO THE FOOT OF THE RING, EXTENDING HIS HAND WHICH ANGLE SHAKES. Cole: "What a moment fans, what a moment". PRIOR TO COMMERCIAL.... BACKSTAGE.... REY MYSTERIO AND CARNEY ARE SHOWN PREPARING FOR THEIR MATCH LATER TONIGHT. Rey Mysterio: "Carney, have you given any thought to the fact that I am in that Lightheavyweight battle royale next week man"? Carney: "Rey, so are Gundam and Loki and that's who we got tonight". Mysterio: "So if I were to win and become the number one contender, you'd be cool with that"? Carney: "Of course man. I want the best man to win". MYSTERIO AND CARNEY KNOCK FISTS AS PRIMETIME GOES TO BREAK. COMMERCIAL BREAK..... A COMMERCIAL FOR SUBWAY IS SHOWN. having my back tonight man". THE 13th APOSTLE COMES OVER. 13th Apostle: "It is Beast's pleasure Mr. Wakeman. He is glad to help anyone who is not involved with corporate America". BACK AT RINGSIDE, KID GUNDAM AND LOKI ARE SHOWN IN THE RING WITH JIM CORNETTE AS "619" HITS AND REY MYSTERIO POPS UP FROM UNDER THE RAMP AND SECONDS LATER, "LOOSE" BY EMINEM STARTS UP AND CARNEY COMES OUT WITH THE LIGHTHEAVYWEIGHT TITLE AROUND HIS WAIST. THEY RECEIVE A HUGE POP. Cole: "We're back here on PrimeTime and that tag match will be later tonight but right now, we've got what should be an entertaining tag team match between two members of the Four Elements against Kid Gundam and Loki". Ventura: "Keep in mind that Loki and Gundam have the services of Jim Cornette at ringside so you know they're ready for this". Cole: "Folks Rey Mysterio brought up the subject of a Lightheavyweight battle royale and that will take place right here next week on PrimeTime and it will determine a new number one contender and get this, it will be a pinfall and submission only battle royale"! Ventura: "There ya go guys, get 'em"! GUNDAM AND LOKI ATTACKED CARNEY AND MYSTERIO FROM BEHIND AND THE BELL SOUNDED. Kid Gundam and Loki w/ Jim Cornette vs. Rey Mysterio and Carney It took a few seconds for Carney and Mysterio to recover but after Carney dodged a charging Gundam who went all the way to the floor, Mysterio caught Loki with a spinwheel kick. After a double leg takedown, Carney hit a double legdrop to the groin on Loki before Loki came off the ropes, "dropping the dime" with a legdrop to the back of the head. He made the cover and it looked like it was over already but Gundam came in to make the save. Mysterio and Loki had another great series that mirrored their match from a few weeks ago but after catching Mysterio with a savate kick, Loki made the ga to Gundam who came in and laced the chest of Mysterio with some staggering knifedge chops. Gundam wore down Mysterio with a nerve hold before kicking him in the back of the head. He made the tag to Loki who came in and continued to work on Mysterio, keeping him on their half of the ring. But after landing on his feet after a backbody drop, Mysterio ducked a roundhouse and dropkicked Loki right into Gundam, knocking him to the floor. He then used a drop toe hold which knocked Loki over the middle rope. That immediately brought the crowd up because they could foresee the 6-1-9. After hitting it, Mysterio tagged in Carney who came off the top rope with the "C-Bomb" and hooked the leg for the 3 count. Match Time: 5:38 Cole: "And just like that, this one is over and Jesse, I don't know if you've noticed but the Four Elements have totally gelled as a unit"! Ventura: "So far they have but imagine if Mysterio wins that battle royale next week. We'll see if Carney really meant what he said". CARNEY AND MYSTERIO WALKED UP THE RAMP TO A HUGE OVATION. Cole: "Mysterio will have a lot of guys gunning for him in that battle royale because he's gotta be considered a favorite but one thing's for sure, whether Carney's the champion or not, he's gonna go for it one hundred percent"! TWF RE-WIND SHOWS THE ULTIMO DRAGON ESCAPING THE CLUTCHES OF THE FBI AFTER A RECENT WIN OVER JOHNNY STAMBOLI. THE FBI's MUSIC HITS AND THEY COME OUT TO A LOT OF BOOS. Cole: "The FBI are gonna see if the third time is a charm here against the Ultimo Dragon who has already knocked off Guido and Johnny the Bull but tonight, he's got the Future Frankie Kazarian to worry about but what I wanna know Jesse is what Brock Lesnar and Batista talked to these guys about"! Ventura: "That's for them to know and for you to try and find out Michael". THE ULTIMO DRAGON's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT AS FLAMES COME UP ON EACH SIDE OF THE RAMP. Cole: "The Ultimo Dragon is looking for a clean sweep over the FBI who has it out for him Jesse"! Ventura: "Well Frankie Kazarian has been as hot as anyone here on PrimeTime and I hope the Dragon is aware of his abilities"! Frankie "The Future" Kazarian vs. The Ultimo Dragon This match was a total spotfest that the crowd loved. The Dragon opened up with his stifling kicks, slowing Kazarian way down. But after moving out of the way of a tumbling back elbow, Kazarian hit a nice airplane spin neckbreaker. He then went to the middle rope and came off with a legdrop. He pinned the Dragon but could only manage a 2 count. After a vertical suplex, Kazarian tried to hit the "Wave of the Future" but the Dragon escaped and countered with a bridge rollup that nearly got the win. After a back footsweep, The Dragon hit a standing moonsault for another near fall. Kazarian reversed an irish whip and leapfrogged the Dragon but when he went for a monkey flip, the Dragon just stomped on his chest. He then whipped him to the ropes and hit a beautiful hurricanrana before running and jumping off the ring ropes, looking for his Asai moonsault. But Guido shook the ropes and the Dragon fell back on his head as an oppurtunistic Kazarian covered him and hooked both legs for the 3 count. Match Time: 5:59 Cole: "The three on one advantage has caught up with the Dragon here tonight and Kazarian has pulled off somewhat of an upset"! THE FBI's MUSIC HIT AND THEY LEFT TO A LOT OF BOOS AS THE DRAGON TRIED TO RECOVER. Cole: "Well thank God for security because that was getting out of hand in a hurry"! Ventura: "The Dragon couldn't run tonight Cole and the FBI got their man"! PRIOR TO COMMERCIAL.... BACKSTAGE.... JUST AS PRIMETIME IS ABOUT TO GO TO COMMERCIAL, TRISH STRATUS IS CONFRONTED BY SABLE BACKSTAGE. Sable: "Well, if it isn't Trish Stratus. Ya know, I don't know what the big rave is about your looks. When compared to me, you're not much". Trish: "What do you want Sable"? Sable: "Well, what I want is also what Batista wants. He want Wakeman to put that Intercontinental title on the line next week on PrimeTime". Trish: (laughs) Batista? He thinks he can beat Travis"? Sable: "Oh yeah, he sure does". A man who is a former TWF champion and a man who like myself, takes pride in the way he looks. I am talking of none other than Val Venis"! VAL VENIS' MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT TO A MIXED RESPONSE. NIDIA INVITES HIM ONTO THE SET. Cole: "So Val Venis will be the guest of Rick Martel and this should be interesting Jesse". Ventura: "Very". It is clear that I am one of the top athletes on this roster but for whatever reason, they have forgotten that. Do they forget that I am a former TWF champion? Do they forget how many big matches I've won? Do they forget that I was so embarrassed to be around here, that I used a mask as a disguise? Martel, one thing is clear and it is crystal clear. Cole: "Earlier tonight we saw Batista and Brock Lesnar absolutely destroy Essa Rios and Nova and we have received word that Nova has been taken to a local hospital and it is suspected that he has a broken collarbone but Jesse, the new tandem of Rhyno and Mr. Showtime have stepped up for those two"! BATISTA's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT TO A MIXED RESPONSE LED BY SABLE. Ventura: "I hope they're happy Cole but this ain't a pretty picture. Lesnar and Batista may be unbeatable and look at the gorgeous Sable"! A PROMO GRAPHIC POPS UP WITH THE PRIMETIME LOGO FEATURING BATISTA AND SABLE ON ONE SIDE AND TRAVIS WAKEMAN WITH TRISH ON THE OTHER. Cole: "Well this man here has a huge oppurtunity next week to become Intercontinental champion! It was Trish who agreed to Sable's challenge earlier and if they can beat Rhyno and Rockwell tonight, imagine the momentum he'll have"! A CORD STRIKES LEADING INTO BROCK LESNAR's MUSIC AND HE COMES OUT TO A MIXED RESPONSE WITH THE UNIVERSAL TITLE AROUND HIS WAIST. Ventura: "Listen Michael, here comes the pain"! Cole: "The Universal champion Brock Lesnar has done what could keep his as champion for a long, long time to come by adding the ultimate backup plan, Batista"! Ventura: "Brock Lesnar needs no back up Cole but it doesn't hurt to have the monster Batista in his corner! I don't see anybody who can stop them"! Jordan Rockwell and Rhyno vs. Brock Lesnar and Batista In a rematch from WrestleMania, Rhyno started things off with Batista and after a power struggle in the collar and elbow tie, Batista whipped Rhyno to the mat. He then ran him down with a clothesline before showing a tremendous display of power, gorilla press slamming the manbeast. But when he shot him to the ropes, he missed with a clothesline and Rhyno "Gored" him out of nowhere. Tags were made on both sides and Rockwell beat Lesnar to the punch. He then went for a hip toss out of the corner but couldn't muscle Lesnar up and was nearly beheaded with a clothesline. Lesnar then dropped Rhyno with a cheap shot and for the next several minutes, he and Batista wore down Rockwell. Lesnar had his vice grip bearhug cinched in but Rockwell escaped with a double ear clap. Lesnar made the tag and Batista prevented Rockwell from doing the same. But Rockwell slipped off his shoulders when he went for a running powerslam and caught him with "Extreme Measures" out of nowhere. Rhyno then came in and knocked Lesnar to the floor as Rockwell made the cover for what was a sure victory when Guido Maritato came in and broke the count up, causing a DQ. Rockwell stood up and hit Maritato with a right hand but Rhyno was mobbed from behind by Stamboli and Kazarian. Kazarian then blasted Rockwell with a steal chair and the FBI converged like a group of vultures. After a savage attack, Batista put Rhyno down with the sit out powerbomb and Lesnar buried Rockwell with the "F5". Match Time: 11:40 Cole: "The FBI has injected themselves and they have destroyed Rockwell and Rhyno, but why"?! Ventura: "It's the power Lesnar and Batista possess! They can do whatever they want and the FBI knows that"! CAMERAS SHOW THE FIVE MEN LOOKING DOWN ON THE FALLEN ROCKWELL AND RHYNO AS PRIMETIME COMES TO A CLOSE. OFF AIR.....
