December 13, 2008

AN OLD VILLAGE IS SHOWN IN A RENAISSANCE SETTING. THE SCREEN FOCUSES ON AN OLD MAN WEARING A BLACK CLOAK STANDING NEXT TO A LARGE ROCK, A SWORD STICKING OUT OF IT. THE ANNOYING CAW OF A SCARED CROW CAN BE HEARD IN THE DISTANCE.

A LINE OF 8 MEN STANDS TO THE RIGHT. ONE MAN STEPS UP AND TRIES TO PULL THE SWORD OUT BUT IT WON'T BUDGE. THE NEXT MAN IN LINE ATTEMPTS TO DO THE SAME THING BUT GETS SIMILAR RESULTS. THIS CONTINUES UNTIL THERE'S ONE MAN LEFT.

Old man: "Step up my boy, give it a try".

THE ONLY MAN STILL IN LINE IS A VERY YOUNG, TIMID BOY, ALMOST SHAKING AT THE CORE AS THE OLD MAN PEERS FROM UNDER HIS HOOD.

THE BOY STEPS UP AND GRASPS THE SWORD WITH A FIRM GRIP, TAKING ONE MORE LOOK AT THE MAN BEFORE PULLING IT SMOOTHLY OUT OF THE ROCK. A RAY OF SUNSHINE COMES OVER THE DARKNESS IN THE VILLAGE AND THE ONCE FRIGHTENED BIRD TAKES FLIGHT INTO THE BLUE SKY.

THE OLD MAN PULLS THE HOOD DOWN, SHOWING HIS MESSY GRAY HAIR AND OLD, WRINKLED SKIN. BUT HE MANAGES TO CRACK A SMILE.

Old Man: "Ah yes..... ma boy...... you...... you are the one".

THE BOY STANDS MUCH TALLER THAN HE HAD BEFORE AND LOOKS AT THE SWORD, WHICH BEARS THE TWF LOGO.

THE SHOT THEN GOES TO THE OUTSIDE OF QUICKEN LOANS ARENA AND THE RAUCOUS CROWD CAN BE HEARD OUTSIDE.

Jim Ross: "Welcome to the eighth annual TWF King of the Ring and besides crowning a new king, we have four huge title matches tonight"!

Jerry Lawler: "Well like I always say, it takes a king to know a king and my money is on one of the Rampage superstars tonight..... I just don't know which one to pick"!

J.R.: "Jason Oliver and J.J. Ramplin will sqaure off for an oppurtunity to go to the King of the Ring finals against the best superstar PrimeTime has to offer..... one of which is already in the ring. Let's send it over to our colleagues from PrimeTime".

VLADIMIR KOZLOV IS SHOWN ALREADY IN THE RING BEFORE THE PRIMETIME ANNOUNCE POSITION IS SHOWN WHERE MICHAEL COLE AND THE HONKY TONK MAN ARE SEATED.

Michael Cole: "Thank you, J.R., and as you can see, Vladimir Kozlov is already in the ring and this should be a very hard hitting matchup".

THE LIGHTS IN THE ARENA GO OUT AND "MI DESTROYERO" COMES ON BEFORE ARIEL LEADS KEVIN THORN OUT TO MOSTLY BOOS.

Honky Tonk Man: "It's gonna take quite an effort to take out the Moscow Mauler but if anyone can do it, it might be Kevin Thorn".

Cole: "Kevin Thorn of course the leader of the Requiem and Kozlov is pretty much the muscle of the United Nations. One of those groups will have a member in the King of the Ring finals".

King of the Ring Tournament Semi-Finals

Vladimir Kozlov vs. Kevin Thorn w/ Ariel

The crowd was definitely not on the side of either of these men who are easily two of the most hated in the TWF. But as Kolov went for a lockup, Thorn got in a kick before landing several sharp right hands. Thorn tried to grab the big Russian in a standing side headlock, but Kozlov pushed him away and then hit a huge clothesline. After a big belly to belly suplex, Kozlov made a cover but Thorn was up, although Kozlov had done some damage. Kozlov then kept Thorn on the mat with his dominating style and Thorn looked almost helpless. After wearing him down with a reverse chin lock, Kozlov picked him up and whipped him to the corner. But Thorn got out of his way as he ran in before grabbing him by the throat with a choke. Kozlov was able to knock Thorn's arm away before using a push kick to put him back on the mat. But after missing with a big elbow, Thorn got up with an almost psychotic look in his eyes. He hit Kozlov with a clothesline that rocked him before landing a big running boot. At that moment, the rest of The Requiem, Drusus and Gangrel came down to ringside. But before they could do anything, William Regal, Harry Smith and Paul Burchill ran out and the fight was on as a hysterical Ariel tried to get Thorn's attention. In the ring, Thorn shot Kozlov to the corner but was distracted by the brawl outside the ring and missed everything when he ran in. Kozlov then grabbed him from behind and deposited him with a reverse DDT, covering him and hooking the leg for the 3 count.

Match Time: 9:57

Cole: "And that does it..... Vladimir Kozlov is headed to the King of the Ring finals"!

HTM: "A very big win not only for Kozlov, but also for the U.N.".

AS THE REQUIEM RETREATED TOGETHER, THE UNITED NATIONS STOOD IN THE RING WITH THE VICTORIOUS KOZLOV.

Cole: "Well not that I'm tooting the horn for our PrimeTime side, but whoever wins that Rampage semi-final, be it Jason Oliver or J.J. Ramplin.... they'll likely have to deal with this contingent".

BACKSTAGE......

IN THE BACK, LENA YADA IS STANDING BY WITH JORDAN ROCKWELL.

Lena Yada: "Jordan, the last time we saw you, Mark Henry attacked not only you but your wife Lita, who we later found out was pregnant. Can you give us an update on her condition"?

Jordan Rockwell: "Lena, my wife Lita is going to be fine, and so is our second child, thank God. Doctors reported that the pregnancy will not be affected and Lita is doing much better.... physically and emotionally".

Lena Yada: "So how does that affect your match with Mark Henry tonight for the Intercontinental title? Do you think you'll go in there with a little less on your mind"?

ROCKWELL LOOKS AT LENA FOR SEVERAL SECONDS BEFORE JUST WALKING AWAY.

THE SHOT IS TAKEN BACK TO THE RING WHERE "STRAIGHT TO VIDEO" BY MINDLESS SELF INDULGENCE HITS AND STACY KEIBLER LEADS M.X. OGDEN TO THE RING AS THE GENEXT LOGO FLASHES ON THE MAT INSIDE THE RING.

J.R.: "So we know that Vladimir Kozlov is in the King of the Ring finals and M.X. Ogden's GeNext counterpart Jason Oliver will have the chance to be there with him later tonight but right now, Ogden's focus will be on D'Lo Brown".

Lawler: "I'll be honest, my focus right now is on Stacy Keibler.... wow"!

D'LO BROWN's MUSIC COMES ON AND HE COMES OUT TO A PRETTY GOOD CHEER FROM THE CROWD.

J.R.: "Well this situation all got started when Ogden basically traded in Candice Michelle for Ms. Keibler and......

Lawler: "Yeah and like a typical woman, she went and found a new guy within days to take care of her problems for you".

J.R.: "Well either way, you know D'Lo is going to be looking to get back at Ogden after that horrific spraypaint attack on Main Event".

D'Lo Brown vs. M.X. Ogden w/ Candice

Ogden attacked D'Lo right as he got into the ring, even before the bell made the match official. After several kicks and punches to the head, Ogden ran the ropes and hit a flying calf kick to take D'Lo down. Ogden then shouted some obscenities to the crowd before pulling D'Lo up but after a stiff right hand, he ran at him and D'Lo countered by throwing him over the top rope. D'Lo went to the floor with him and got in a few quick shots before sending him hard into the barricade surrounding the ring. Ogden quickly responded by running out and grabbing D'Lo, slamming him into the apron of the ring. Then, as Ogden distracted referee Jose Mendez, Stacy slapped D'Lo across the face. From there, Ogden went back into the ring and ran off one side of the ropes, launching himself over the top rope and right onto D'Lo, something the crowd who was completely against Ogden even appreciated. Back outside the ring, Ogden grabbed D'Lo and went to ram him into the ring steps but D'Lo got an elbow in and put Ogden face first into the steps. Mendez was very tolerant of a match that took place almost entirely outside the ring. After rolling Ogden back into the ring, D'Lo was set to get in an Deuce came out from the back with an attack on D'Lo. Deuce rolled D'Lo back into the ring and that's when Mendez saw the newest member of GeNext and he ordered him to go back to the back! Deuce argued for a bit but Stacy finally convinced him to go. Ogden hit a basement dropkick on D'Lo before going to the top rope where he flew off with a legdrop. But when D'Lo moved out of the way, he hit nothing but the mat..... hard! D'Lo got to his feet and saw Stacy now on the apron, seductively dancing. Just then, Candice ran out from the back to a huge pop and yanked Stacy off the mat.... slapping her across the face. In the ring, Ogden ran at D'Lo but missed with a clothesline and D'Lo came right back with the Sky High into a cover and Mendez dropped down to count the 1........2........3!

Match Time: 15:46

J.R.: "He got him! D'Lo has overcome the odds and defeated Ogden"!

Lawler: "Yeah, but he owes a lot of that to Candice"!

J.R.: "Well Candice got herself a bit of..... wait a minute, Deuce is back"!

DEUCE CAME BACK OUT AND HIT D'LO IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD WITH SOMETHING. HE TOSSED THE OBJECT TO OGDEN WHO BEGAN SHAKING IT.

Lawler: "Uh oh.... he's got the spraypaint"!

AFTER PULLING DOWN THE STRAPS ON D'LO's ATTIRE, OGDEN SPRAYPAINTED "GENEXT" ACROSS HIS BACK. NEARLY IN TEARS, CANDICE CRAWLED OVER TO D'LO BUT DEUCE GRABBED HER BY THE HAIR AND PULLED HER UP.

J.R.: "Unhand her! What the hell is the matter with you"?!

OGDEN LOOKED INTO CANDICE's EYES WITH THE LOOK OF A MADMAN BEFORE SUDDENLY KICKING HER IN THE ABDOMEN AND HITTING THE "MEMORY MAKER". STACY APPLAUED AND WAS ALL SMILES AS "STRAIGHT TO VIDEO" CAME ON AGAIN.

J.R.: "Oh my gosh".

J.R.: "That is disgusting! I used to have some respect for M.X. Ogden.... but not anymore! This group is out of control"!

Lawler: "I can't believe he just did that..... D'Lo Brown is the winner, but it sure doesn't look that way right now".

BACKSTAGE AREA........

CAMERAS IN THE BACK SHOW SEBASTIAN CAIN ON A CELL PHONE AND HE LOOKS VERY CONCERNED.

Sebastian Cain: "What do you mean several calls.... I haven't gotten any?! (pauses) Sean has been answering my phone? Well that explains it then........ is she alright though? (pause) Okay, I'll do whatever I need to do..... bye".

ANGRILY, SEBASTIAN THROWS THE CELL PHONE ON THE GROUND AND IT BREAKS INTO MANY PIECES.

"EX's AND OH's" BY ATREYU PLAYS AND PJ CASH COMES DOWN THE AISLE FOLLOWED BY THE MASSIVE WARLORD. THE TWO ARE MET BY A HOARD OF BOOS.

Cole: "Back to the action here and PJ Cash and The Warlord on the way to the ring and I wonder..... these two guys have nothing in common.... what is The Warlord doing with PJ Cash".

HTM: "We've been over this before, Michael, The Warlord is a guy who I went up and down the road with, one of the strongest men in the history of this business. What Cash has done for him is simple...... money. He's not only given him a job, he's brought him back into the business. Look, Warlord was working security for guys like 50 Cent and Kimbo Slice..... don't you think he'd rather do this"?

Cole: "Hey, I kinda like 50".

"STRONGER" BY KANYE WEST COMES ON AND OUT COMES DAMION WEST TO A WELL RECEIVED CLEVELAND CHEER.

HTM: (laughs) "I'm gonna pretend you didn't say that".

Cole: "Well here comes a guy with a lot on the line tonight. Damion West has fallen from grace maybe farther than anyone ever has. A former three time World champion, this man may need a victory more than any other superstar here tonight".

HTM: "Well it'd be hard to argue that, but there will be similar motivation for PJ Cash, who knows that a victory over High Octane here might be a knockout blow to his career".

Cole: "There you see High Octane take a look at The Warlord, a man who has viciously attacked him twice in recent weeks".

PJ Cash w/ The Warlord vs. "High Octane" Damion West

The bell sounded to start the match and both men got down in crouched positions, almost like something you'd see in amatuer style wrestling. Cash moved in but West came up with a quick arm drag. Cash got up and ran at him but West was waiting with a hip toss. After a nice dropkick, Cash rolled out of the ring to regroup and the fans applauded West for showing he clearly still had it. Cash came back into the ring after a chat with The Warlord and when West moved in on him, Cash raked his eyes and then delivered 2 stiff forearms to the face. Cash scored with a snap suplex and floated over into a cover for the 1........2......., but West was up. Cash pulled him up and whipped him to the corner with plenty of velocity. He ran in and smashed West with a clothesline before going to the top rope where he flew off with a bulldog that drove the face of West into the mat. Cash rolled him over and hooked the leg for the 1.........2........, but West got a shoulder off the mat. Cash tried to keep the pressure on but after reversing an irish whip, West lifted him several feet into the air with a backbody drop. After landing a perfect flying forearm, West went to the top rope and came off with a flying crossbody into a cover to get the 1.............2....... but Cash pushed out. West got up and ran the ropes but Cash countered by picking him up and dropping him over the top rope with a stun gun. He then used a baseball slide to kick West under the bottom rope and to the floor. As Cash ran interference on referee Marty Elias, Warlord waited for West to get up and he went for a clothesline when he did. Luckily for West, he saw it coming and Warlord went hard into the steel ring post when he got out of the way. But then, High Octane pasted the big insurance policy with the "Head on Collision", knocking him off his feet. West got back into the ring but Cash attacked him and after kicking him right in the face, Cash went for an Oklahoma roll but West rolled through into a very nice pin of his own and Elias got the 3 count!

Match Time: 7:10

Cole: "Did he get the three count? Yes he did..... what a huge win for High Octane"!

HTM: "He just outdid PJ Cash there...... Cash thought he had the pin"!

"STRONGER" PLAYED AGAIN AND DAMION WEST LEFT THE RING TO A HUGE CHEER, SLAPPING HANDS WITH MANY FANS IN THE CROWD.

Cole: "Well how good it must feel for High Octane to be able to get this win! He probably even had his own doubts but maybe this is what he needed to reinvent his career"!

BACKSTAGE..... ROWDY RODDY PIPER's OFFICE........

CAMERAS IN PIPER's OFFICE CATCH A MEETING BETWEEN HE AND JASON OLIVER.

Rowdy Roddy Piper: "Well you're just gonna have to deal with it, kid, Hassan isn't coming back and I'm not goin' anywhere".

Jason Oliver: "Well after I win this tournament, I better get the celebration I deserve. I don't want you to try and take away what I've........

Piper: "Look, I see what you're doin', but none of this talk is gonna matter if you lose to J.J. Ramplin. So I would suggest that you go to that ring and win the match before you open your mouth. But I'm just a pesky old veteran.... what would I know"?

PIPER OPENS THE DOOR TO HIS OFFICE AND WAITS FOR OLIVER TO LEAVE. OLIVER STARES PIPER DOWN FOR A MOMENT BEFORE LEAVING. PIPER SHUTS THE DOOR BEHIND HIM AND SEEMS ALMOST AMUSED.

THE LIGHTS AGAIN GO OUT AND "MISERIA CANTARE" STARTS UP, BRINGING J.J. RAMPLIN OUT AS A SPOTLIGHT FINDS THE ECW ENTRANCE AND HE MAKES HIS WAY THROUGH THE PARTING CROWD.

J.R.: "Vladimir Kozlov awaits the winner of this match, one that should be a very good contest".

Lawler: "I can remember back to WrestleMania eight where these two had a great flag match for the King of Cable title. This is gonna be good"!

"FLY FROM THE INSIDE" BY SHINEDOWN COMES ON AND JASON OLIVER COMES OUT FROM THE BACK TO NOTHING BUT BOOS.

J.R.: "It was J.J. Ramplin who came out victorious that night and many say that triggered a huge streak of success for ECW's Ram but tonight, it's one on one with a trip to the King of the Ring finals on the line"!

Lawler: "It hasn't been a great night for GeNext so far, but Jason Oliver has a big chance to change things around right now"!

Lawler: "Well other than a loss to Sean O'Haire that cost him the King of Cable title, Ramplin has been virtually unbeatable for quite some time now".

King of the Ring Tournament Semi-Finals

J.J. "The Ram" Ramplin vs. Jason Oliver

Oliver was able to strike first in this match, winning an exchange of right hands before kicking Ramplin in the back of the leg several times, trying to knot it up. Ramplin threw a clothesline that was way off and Oliver came back with a chopblock to the right knee. After grabbing the right leg of Ramplin, Oliver dropped an elbow right on his knee twice and began to pull and twist at it until Ramplin was able to hit Oliver across the face with a free hand, breaking the hold. Ramplin followed that with a kick to the midsection before going for an irish whip. But Oliver was able to reverse it and he went for a crossbody but Ramplin was able to avoid it. From there, Oliver got up but went right into the waiting arms of Ramplin who delivered a huge spinebuster. Ramplin went into a cover but Oliver got his right shoulder off the mat at 2. Ramplin picked him up and slung him into the corner where he drove his shoulder into his abdomen 3 times before pulling him out into a big suplex. Ramplin got ready for the spear but when he went for it, Oliver was able to leapfrog him and come up with a nice double underhook suplex, throwing him across the ring. Ramplin got up and backed into the corner, looking to shake off the effects of the suplex when Oliver ran in and jumped up on the middle turnbuckle but Ramplin pushed him off and Oliver landed hard on the mat. Waiting for him to get up, Ramplin measured him for the Ram's Horns but as he took off from the corner, referee Jim Korderas was inadvertently right in the way. Ramplin stopped but this also shielded Oliver and when Korderas moved, Oliver struck with a superkick that was right on the money! Ramplin fell back and Oliver quickly made the cover, hooking the leg for the huge win.

Match Time: 5:35

Lawler: "Oh what a superkick! Ramplin has been knocked out of the tournament"!

J.R.: "Well ya gotta feel for Ramplin because it was an unfortunate mistake from our senior referee being in very bad position that probably cost him this match".

"FLY FROM THE INSIDE" PLAYED AGAIN AND JASON OLIVER WALKED BACK UP THE RAMP HOLDING 1 FINGER UP AND MOUTHING THE WORDS "ONE MORE" CONTINUALLY.

Lawler: "Well maybe you feel sorry, but you can't take away a huge win for Oliver who is now in the finals"!

J.R.: "Jason Oliver will now meet Vladimir Kozlov later tonight for the right to be the 2008 King of the Ring"!

BACKSTAGE......

JOE COREY IS SHOWN WITH ELIJAH BURKE IN THE BACK.

Elijah Burke: "You ready to give up that crown yet or what, dude"?

Joe Corey: "I'll never give up my crown as the greatest King this company ever had, but please don't change the subject on me. As I was saying, I know you and Terkay are boys or whatever..... but I don't want you anywhere near that ring tonight. This is about ECW...... not you or your tag team".

COREY WALKS AWAY AND BURKE LOOKS SURPRISED BY HIS ATTITUDE.

"OH NO YOU DIDN'T" BY THE WOJAHN BROTHERS COMES ON, BRINGING SAMAIEL OUT TO MOSTLY BOOS.

Cole: "Back at ringside here and that huge ECW World title match is scheduled for later tonight but here comes a man who has been as hard to figure out as any we've ever seen here in the TWF"!

HTM: "Which in my opinion makes him all the more dangerous, Michael! Chaos Wolf has no idea what he's getting into tonight".

"REMEMBER THE NAME" BY FORT MINOR COMES ON AND CHAOS WOLF COMES OUT TO A HUGE POP AND CHARGES THE RING. WOLF SLIDES IN AND TAKES SAMAIEL DOWN BEFORE THE BELL SOUNDS.

Cole: "They're picking up right where they left off at Universal Studios"!

HTM: "We might need another referee or two out here"!

Chaos Wolf vs. Samaiel

Referee Mickey Henson knew he had his hands full in this one as he tried to pry an incensed Chaos Wolf off Samaiel. When he finally did, Samaiel got up and gave Wolf a thrust to the throat before kicking him in the midsection. Samaiel hit a swinging neckbreaker before getting down and choking Wolf with his right hand, forcing Henson to use most of his 5 count. Samaiel then got a running start before kicking Wolf hard in the ribs. He then went to the top rope and flew off with a clothesline but Wolf saw him at the last second and ducked out of the way. Then, Wolf got the back of Samaiel and locked in a rear naked choke. Samaiel was in trouble, kicking his legs and flailing his arms and he was fortunate enough to get a foot to the ropes. But Wolf refused to let go of the hold, trying to choke out Samaiel. Finally, after several warnings, Henson called for the bell, disqualifying Wolf.

Match Time: 4:27

Cole: "Chaos Wolf has lost it! Look at this"!

HTM: "Let go of him you idiot"!

FINALLY, SEVERAL OFFICIALS AND A COUPLE MORE REFEREES RAN OUT FROM THE BACK AND PULLED WOLF OFF OF SAMAIEL, SOMETHING THE CROWD DIDN'T LIKE.

Cole: "Well I have to say that this situation seems far from over".

HTM: "Look at Samaiel..... he likes it"!

AS CHAOS WOLF WAS ESCORTED FROM THE RING, SAMAIEL LOOKED UP FROM THE MAT WITH A SICK GRIN ON HIS FACE BEFORE THE SHOT WENT TO THE BACKSTAGE AREA.

BACKSTAGE.......

IN THE BACK, TODD GRISHAM IS STANDING BY WITH MONEY MIKE.

Todd Grisham: "Hey, Mike.... wanna see a new card trick I learned"?

GRISHAM PULLS A DECK OF CARDS OUT OF HIS POCKET.

Money Mike: "Don't be stupid. Look, I've heard all this crap. What are you gonna do at King of the Ring against that magician Eddie Saint James? Have you heard that Monica and The Saint have learned some of Criss Angel's best stuff? All I can say to that, Todd, is that I always have something up my sleeve too".

MONEY MIKE WALKS OFF IN THE DIRECTION OF THE RING AS THE SHOT GOES TO ANOTHER PART OF THE BACKSTAGE AREA.

LENA YADA IS SHOWN STANDING IN THE BACKSTAGE AREA AND BEGINS TO GET WORD FROM MICHAEL COLE.

Cole: "Well we're gonna get a word here from Lena Yada who has some sort of huge news regarding The Undertaker. Lena......

Lena Yada: "Thanks, Michael, yes I do. Now, word going around is that Joe Corey without a doubt is responsible for the attack we saw on The Undertaker before Main Event went off the air, but Corey has produced a taxi driver who has said he took Corey from the arena long before the attack could've happened. Not only that, but I just talked to a TWF superstar who wishes to remain anonymous who says he saw who attacked The Undertaker and it was not Joe Corey".

Cole: "Wow, thanks for the update, Lena.... that's certainly interesting".

"I WILL BE HEARD" BY HATEBREED COMES ON AND EDDIE SAINT JAMES STEPS OUT FROM THE BACK AND ONTO THE STAGE WITH MONICA. THEY ARE WELCOMED BY JUST ABOUT ALL BOOS, BUT SOME FAINT CHEERS CAN BE HEARD.

J.R.: "So it appears the search is one for the person or persons responsible for the attack on The Undertaker at Main Event but right now, King, we are about to be graced by one of the more bizarre superstars currently in the TWF".

Lawler: "You only say bizarre because The Saint and Monica have taken a liking to the world of magic and illusion, but personally I think it's cool"!

"KING OF KINGS" BY MOTORHEAD COMES ON AND BOOS BEGAN TO APPROACH THE NOISE LEVEL OF THE MUSIC ITSELF. THE CROWD IS LAYING IT ON MONEY MIKE, WHO HAS YET TO STEP OUT.

J.R.: "Can you remember back two years ago to the 2006 King of the Ring? We were in Anaheim, California and the tournament came down to these very two men. Money Mike was victorious that night so what an oppurtunity for redemption here for The Saint".

Lawler: "I completely agree, J.R., but where is Money Mike"?

J.R.: "Oh look out..... he's in the ring"!

AS THE SAINT AND MONICA STOOD IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RING AWAITING MONEY MIKE, HE CAME OUT OF THE CROWD AND GOT INTO THE RING BEHIND THEM. SAINT JAMES TURNED AROUND AND CAUGHT A BIG CLOTHESLINE FROM MIKE, WHO BEGAN TO STALK MONICA.

Money Mike vs. Eddie Saint James w/ Monica

Monica was able to slip out of the ring before Mike turned his attention back to The Saint and he was very aggressive in his attack, beating Saint James around the ring with right hands. After a kick to the stomach, Mike delivered a big gutwrench suplex before just stomping on his head. But Money Mike, the 2006 King of the Ring, didn't stop there. He began stomping on the head of The Saint repeatedly, forcing referee Chad Patton to physically push him back. Mike kept the punishment coming and Saint James looked like he was going to take the biggest beating handed out in years. Finally, Monica decided to interject herself, jumping on the apron. As Patton went over to tell her to get off, Saint James got in a lowblow on Mike followed by a kick to the side of the head. After smashing Mike's face across his knee, The Saint hit the ropes and clotheslined him. Saint James was all fired up and he asked Monica to distract Patton again. She got up on the apron, right in the referee's face as The Saint closed his eyes and seemed deep in thought..... almost meditating. But before The Saint could complete whatever he was trying to do, a masked man appeared on the apron and used some sort of device to throw sparks in the face of The Saint, dangerously close to his eyes. This masked man looked very familiar to most of the crowd and he got out through the crowd in a hurry as Money Mike pulled Saint James in for the "Money Pit", hooking the leg for the win.

Match Time: 2:50

J.R.: "What the hell is going on here?! Was that who I think it was"?!

Lawler: "That was The Starman! Money Mike said he had something up his sleeve and he sure did"!

MONICA FRANTICALLY CHECKED ON THE SAINT IN THE RING WHILE AN EXUBERANT MONEY MIKE LEFT TO NOTHING BUT BOOS AS "KING OF KINGS" PLAYED AGAIN.

J.R.: "Well that sure as hell was no magic trick, but it was one of the most mysterious beings we've ever seen here in the TWF resurfacing and helping Money Mike to another win"!

BACKSTAGE.......

EDGE IS SHOWN IN HIS DRESSING ROOM WHEN SAMAIEL BURSTS IN AND HE IS NOT IN A GOOD MOOD.

Samaiel: "Did you see what happened out there?! That idiot..... Chaos Wolf..... he's playing right into my hands! He really doesn't want to go where he is going with me"!

Edge: "Ya know, I keep hearing this, but I've seen nothing".

Samaiel: "Oh, I get it, you're focused on John Cena.... that's fine, I remember the plan. Do you have the rest of the money"?

Edge: "Ya know what, I've already given you enough money and I like what I've gotten in return. But you clearly have other things on your mind and I don't want Shane McMahon sticking his nose in my business after I win this match....... so I'm gonna do it on my own tonight".

EDGE PICKS UP THE UNIVERSAL TITLE AND GLANCES OVER AT SAMAIEL BEFORE LEAVING THE ROOM.

Samaiel: (to himself) "He hasn't seen anything........ we'll see about that".

BACK AT RINGSIDE, "SOMEBODY's GONNA GET IT" BY THREE SIX MAFIA COMES ON AND MARK HENRY STEPS OUT FROM THE BACK WITH THE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE DRAPED OVER HIS SHOULDER. HE IS MET WITH PLENTY OF BOOS, SOME OF THE HARSHEST ALL NIGHT.

Cole: "We heard earlier tonight from Jordan Rockwell that Lita and their unborn child are going to be okay after the attack suffered by Mark Henry and although Henry didn't know Lita was with child, it doesn't excuse his actions"!

HTM: "Oh cry me a river, Michael. If you ask me, Jordan Rockwell put himself and his family in jeopardy after claiming to have this so-called new attitude and then not only targeting Mark Henry, bu by having Lita come to the ring with her where nothing positive could possibly happen"!

THE FANS COME TO THEIR FEET AND WILDLY CHEER WHEN "SAVE ME" BY BURN HALO PLAYS. JORDAN ROCKWELL COMES OUT WITH A SINISTER LOOK ON HIS FACE..... BOTH HANDS TAPED.

Cole: "Well here comes Rockwell and whether you think he has a new attitude or not, I don't believe I've ever seen that look before".

ROCKWELL SLIDES INTO THE RING AND IS ALL OVER HENRY, ATTACKING HIM LIKE A MAN POSSESSED.

TWF Intercontinental Title Match

Challenger: Jordan Rockwell vs. Mark Henry

Even dealing with the size of the World's Strongest Man, Rockwell was like a machine, hitting Henry with everything he had. After several right hands to the body, he tried to pick Henry up for a slam but fell backwards and the near 400 pounder landed right on him. Henry got up, trying to shake the cobwebs but he missed with a big elbow drop and Rockwell kicked him multiple times in the right side before getting on his back and trying to lock in the STF. Henry did a great job defending it so instead, Rockwell just pounded down on the back of Henry's head with forearms. As Henry rolled over, Rockwell fired down with right and left hands from a mounted position. Referee Charles Robinson tried to pull Rockwell off as things were getting out of control, but Rockwell shoved him aside. Warning a disqualification, Robinson tried to get Rockwell up as Henry was now busted open. Rockwell again shoved him away, forcing Robinson to grab the right arm of Rockwell and pull him off Henry. As Rockwell struggled with the ref, Henry got up and swung his right arm right against the side of Rockwell's head. Rockwell crumpled to the mat from the shot he never saw coming and after going to the second turnbuckle, Henry flew off with a big splash, crushing the challenger to get the 3 count.

Match Time: 4:30

HTM: "Whoa! I think Henry just made Rockwell a permanent part of the mat"!

Cole: "Jordan Rockwell definitely let his emotions get the best of him here tonight but..... oh wait a minute"!

JUST AS HENRY WAS GIVEN THE TITLE, HE TURNED INTO A RIGHT HAND FROM ROCKWELL THAT KNOCKED HIM COLD. ROCKWELL STOOD OVER HENRY AND HAD SOME MORE WORDS FOR HIM AS ROBINSON PULLED HIM ASIDE. THE CROWD CHEERED AS ROCKWELL LEFT THE RING, A FAR AWAY LOOK IN HIS EYES.

HTM: "That's the mark of a sore loser.... a very sore loser"!

Cole: "All I can say is that so-called new attitude you mentioned..... looks pretty legit to me"!

BACKSTAGE....... TRAINER's ROOM....

CAMERAS SHOW TRAVIS WAKEMAN GETTING SOME LAST MINUTE INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE TRAINER WHEN MELINA ENTERS THE ROOM. WAKEMAN JUST LOWERS HIS HEAD AND BEGINS TO SHAKE IT.

Melina: "Is he going to be alright? I mean..... I don't want him to go.......

Travis Wakeman: "Melina! I'm going out there tonight..... that's all there is to it".

Melina (near tears): "But are you okay? You're just.........

Wakeman: "Just what"?

Melina: "Not yourself anymore".

MELINA LEAVES THE ROOM WITH WAKEMAN NOTICEABLY CLUTCHING HIS RIGHT SIDE.

A SLEW OF BOOS FILLS QUICKEN LOANS ARENA WHEN CHRIS MASTERS' MUSIC COMES ON AND HE COMES OUT, GOING INTO HIS USUAL POSE ROUTINE.

J.R.: "Well whether there is something wrong with Wakeman or not, he is going to compete here against The Masterpiece"!

Lawler: "Oh let's be honest, J.R., there is obviously something wrong with him, he's not usually turning a pretty woman away! But look at that guy he's got to step in the ring with tonight! Look at the definition...... look at the physique of Masters"!

J.R.: "Chris Masters is a two time former TWF World champion and we all know that the first time he won the title, he did so in very controversial fashion against Travis Wakeman".

TRAVIS WAKEMAN's BRAND NEW ENTRANCE SONG, "TAKING YOU DOWN" BY EGYPT CENTRAL COMES ON AND HE APPEARS FROM THE BACK TO A HUGE POP. HE IS STILL CLUTCHING AT HIS SIDE, BUT LOOKS DETERMINED NONE THE LESS.

Lawler: "And due to Wakeman obviously not being one hundred percent tonight, I think Masters will win this one without the controversy"!

J.R.: "Well you have to admire Wakeman for even stepping out here tonight. I know how much he wants to get back at Masters, and even though he hasn't acknowledged anything being wrong with him, something clearly is".

"The Masterpiece" Chris Masters vs. Travis Wakeman

Before the bell rang to start the match, Masters attacked Wakeman and pounded him with several shots to the upper back before targeting the area he came out holding. This area soon had a bullseye on it as Masters worked it extensively. After a kick to the kidney area, Masters ran the ropes but as he came off, Wakeman countered with a beautiful armbar takedown. In great position, Wakeman began to pull back on the arm and Masters was close to submission but he reached out with his free arm and luckily grabbed the bottom rope. Wakeman released the hold but a fire was definitely lit inside him. Ignoring the pain he came to the ring with, Wakeman grabbed Masters and ran him into the corner before pulling him out into a short clothesline. He was then looking for the Crossface, but Masters did a great job defending it and when Wakeman tried to turn him over, he poked him in the eye and then got up and ran him over with a clothesline. From there, Masters lifted Wakeman up over his shoulder in a gorilla press and slammed him to the mat before getting behind him, his hands out and ready for the Masterlock. When Wakeman got up, Masters slapped it on him and the fans couldn't believe it. Masters was slowly putting him away, using as much force as he could to push down on the back of Wakeman's head and neck. But as the crowd began to rally, Wakeman came alive and ran with Masters to the ring ropes, using the ropes to spring backward and land right on Masters. The back of Wakeman's head smashed against the face of Masters, causing a bloody nose. Masters got up, dabbing at his nose with his hand and an incensed Wakeman was up and kicked him in the gut. He then got him up on his shoulder with ease and drove him into the mat with the "Royal Flush", covering him for the 1........2........3.

Match Time: 6:48

AS SOON AS WAKEMAN HAD HIS HAND RAISED, HE LEFT THE RING AND DIDN'T INTERACT WITH THE CROWD AT ALL AS "TAKING YOU DOWN" PLAYED AGAIN. IN THE RING, MASTERS WAS STILL DOWN FROM THE ROYAL FLUSH.

J.R.: "Wakeman came out here on a mission and won this match and King, once we figure out what is going on with him, it might be even more impressive".

Lawler: "I still can't believe he got out of the Masterlock! Nobody does that"!

J.R.: "Well despite whatever is going on that we don't know about, we do know that Wakeman just got a huge measure of payback against The Masterpiece"!

BACKSTAGE......

JOE COREY IS IN HIS DRESSING ROOM LACING ONE OF HIS BOOTS WHEN PAUL HEYMAN COMES IN.

Paul Heyman: "You ready, champ"?

Joe Corey: "What do you think? I'm ready to go out there and teach that ungrateful punk a lesson and once I'm done, ECW will be fine. Once I beat Terkay, he'll realize what I've been saying....... and he'll realize he's not bigger than the group".

Heyman: "I couldn't agree more.... now let's go get that belt back, huh"?

HEYMAN LEAVES THE ROOM AND COREY GETS UP WITH A CONFIDENT GRIN ON HIS FACE, FOLLOWING.

THE SHOT GOES BACK TO THE RING AND SYLVESTER TERKAY IS ALREADY IN THE RING WITH THE ECW WORLD TITLE AROUND HIS WAIST. "MISERIA CANTARE" IS PLAYING AS HE DOES SOME SHADOWBOXING IN WAIT FOR HIS OPPONENT.

THE MUSIC CONTINUES TO PLAY AS A SPOTLIGHT PICKS UP JOE COREY MAKING HIS WAY THROUGH THE ECW ENTRANCE LED BY PAUL HEYMAN.

Lawler: "Well here we go..... Michael, I guess you and I are gonna call this one".

Cole: "Fine with me and King, how interesting is it that both these men came out through the ECW entrance.... only to face each other one on one"?

Lawler: "Well that's what we have here..... ECW collides! And according to Joe Corey, all will be well after this match".

Cole: "Well that remains to be seen, but one thing for sure is that this is one of the most anticipated matches on the entire card here tonight".

ECW World Title Match

Challenger: "The Show" Joe Corey w/ Paul Heyman vs. Sylvester Terkay

The crowd was buzzing as the bell sounded to start the match and the two members of ECW circled each other. Corey seemed trying to bait Terkay into a mistake, but when Corey lunged at him, Terkay belted him with a kick to the upper thigh followed by a nasty discus backhand. Terkay then pulled Corey in for a belly to belly suplex and covered him but only got a 2 count. Corey slowly got to his feet and Terkay came right at him again with both kicks to the body and punches to the head. But after deflecting a head kick, Corey shot in with a double leg takedown before dropping two stiff forearms right on his chin. Corey then went into a fujiwara armbar, but Terkay clasped his hands together, not letting Corey pull back on the arm. Corey let go of the hold and both men got up. Corey went for a clothesline but Terkay blasted him with a kick to the head. He then grabbed Corey for a double underhook right into a powerbomb and he made the cover for the 1............2........, but Corey got his right shoulder off the mat just in time. Terkay pulled him up but Corey got in a quick jab to the gut before catching him with a big knee right in the face. After running the ropes, Corey avoided a clothesline attempt and caught Terkay with a flying Harley Race style knee right to the face. Corey knew he had the champion in trouble and the crowd could sense it as well. He pulled Terkay up and had him set up for the "Showstopper" but Terkay countered by backdropping him right over him. Terkay then went to the body with both right and left shots before trying to drag him to the center of the ring. But after stomping on the foot of Terkay, Corey again pulled him in for the Showstopper only to be stopped dead in his tracks by a lightning bolt that scorched the top of the set! Corey was in shock as he looked at where it came down from and that gave Terkay the time he needed to drill him with the Heart Punch. Terkay got down and covered Corey, hooking the leg as an irate Paul Heyman told him to kick out, but it was not to be.

Match Time: 6:59

Cole: "What the hell was that"?!

Lawler: "Are we having technical difficulties?! That was crazy"!

"MISERIA CANTARE" PLAYED AS SYLVESTER TERKAY LEFT THE RING WITH THE ECW WORLD TITLE. IN THE RING, HEYMAN HAD HIS HANDS ON HIS HEAD CHECKING ON THE FALLEN COREY.

Cole: "I really don't know what to make of this King, but whatever we just saw cost Corey this match"!

Lawler: "But where does ECW go from here?! Corey said this match was supposed to bring the group together again"!

BACKSTAGE........

CAMERAS IN THE BACK PICK UP MR. KENNEDY STANDING WITH TODD GRISHAM. KENNEDY HAS THE TWF WORLD TITLE AROUND HIS WAIST.

Todd Grisham: "Mr. Kennedy, up next, you will defend the TWF World title against a very dangerous Randy Orton. What is.......

Mr. Kennedy (puts his hand up): "Ah.... stop right there. All I hear about is Randy Orton this, Randy Orton that. We all know that he's a few sandwiches short of a picnic. We all know that he spent something like thirty hours in a tattoo parlor, but who cares? I am a two time TWF World champion and do you know who I am? I am Misterrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Kennedyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

KENNEDY WALKS OUT OF THE SHOT, ONLY TO COME BACK MOMENTS LATER.

Kennedyyyyyyyyyyy"!

THE CROWD SAYS HIS NAME ALONG WITH HIM AS HE WALKS OFF, HEADING TOWARDS THE RING.

"VOICES" BY REV THEORY BLARES OVER THE SOUNDSYSTEM AND IS ANSWERED BY A HUGE AMOUNT OF BOOS AS RANDY ORTON COMES OUT AND SLOWLY MAKES HIS WAY DOWN THE RAMP, NOT PAYING ANY ATTENTION TO THE CROWD.

J.R.: "After defeating Chris Tirpak and then winning a number one contender's triple threat match, Randy Orton, son of Cowboy Bob Orton, has a chance to once again claim TWF gold"!

Lawler: "And who can forget what happened one Main Event, where Mr. Kennedy sacrificed a match just to cost Orton, who was his tag team partner"!

J.R.: (sarcastically) "Yeah, I just feel so bad for poor Randy, he'd never do a thing like that, would he"?

Lawler: "Oh tell jokes, J.R., laugh it up, but in a matter of minutes, we could be looking at the new TWF World champion"!

"MISTERRRRR KENNEDYYYYY" IS HEARD AND THE TWF WORLD CHAMPION KEN KENNEDY STEPS OUT FROM THE BACK WITH THE WORLD TITLE STRAPPED AROUND HIS WAIST. HE HEARS A ROAR FROM THE CROWD AS HE MAKES HIS WAY TO THE RING.

J.R.: "Randy Orton has achieved several accolades in his TWF career and I know you think this guy is just a loudmouth, King, but he's always been able to put his money where his mouth is"!

Lawler: "I'll give him credit, he's won matches I never thought he'd win..... but speaking of his mouth".

KENNEDY STANDS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RING AND HOLDS HIS ARM OUT AS A MICROPHONE LOWERS FROM THE CEILING. BUT ORTON GOES AFTER HIM AND KENNEDY SEES HIM COMING, HITTING HIM RIGHT IN THE HEAD WITH THE MIC. KENNEDY THEN HANDS THE BELT TO REFEREE JIM KORDERAS AS THE BELL SOUNDS TO GET THINGS STARTED.

TWF World Title Match

Challenger: Randy Orton vs. Ken Kennedy

Kennedy had the early advantage after the shot with the microphone, which he followed up with 2 hard right hands. Orton stumbled into the corner but came back with a kick to the gut and then a european uppercut before realizing that he had sustained a cut over his right eye from the microphone. This seemed to enrage Orton as he hit Kennedy with a furious combination of punches. But when he went for an irish whip, Kennedy reversed it and threw a clothesline. Orton ducked and grabbed Kennedy around the head and neck before pulling him down across his back. When Kennedy got to his feet, Orton performed a great standing dropkick before heading to the outside of the ring, climbing the turnbuckle. Kennedy got to his feet and had enough to fall into the ring ropes, knocking Orton down and crotching him on the top turnbuckle. Kennedy followed that up with a big superplex off the top rope. Kennedy took a good bump from the high impact move but he was first to his feet and after a nice spin kick to the midsection, Kennedy delivered a big DDT and the crowd was back alive. Orton got up but Kennedy grabbed his right arm and whipped him to the ropes, catching him with a perfect powerslam, right into a cover but Orton was able to kick out at 2. Kennedy had the challenger reeling as he picked him up and delivered a swinging neckbreaker. Now, it was Kennedy's turn to go to the top rope and he flew off with the Ken-Ton Bomb, which surely would've won him the match. But Orton had the move scouted and he got his knees up into the back of Kennedy. After a big STO takedown, Orton pulled Kennedy back up and went for the "RKO". But Kennedy again pushed away defeat, sending Orton to the corner on a nice counter before following in with a big clothesline. After a snapmare, Kennedy kicked Orton right in the upper back, sending him into plenty of pain. From there, Kennedy pulled Orton up and lifted him to the top turnbuckle before trying to get him on his shoulders for the "Lambeau Leap". But Orton fought him off, hitting him in the side of the head with a couple hammer fists. Orton then got off the turnbuckle but Kennedy came back with another roundhouse style kick to the head. He then grabbed Orton in a front facelock and began to pull him to the center of the ring when Orton suddenly swung out of the hold and hit the RKO out of nowhere! The fans were silenced as Orton covered Kennedy, hooking the leg for the win!

Match Time: 9:15

Lawler: "There it is! He just won the title"!

J.R.: "With the suddeness of a volcanic eruption..... Randy Orton has won the TWF World title"!

"VOICES" PLAYED AGAIN AND ORTON WAS HANDED THE TITLE BY KORDERAS, WHICH HE RAISED UP TO THE BOOING CROWD.

Lawler: "A three time Universal champion...... Randy Orton has just added to his resume"!

J.R.: "Orton has done just that, and I'm sure we'll get to hear all about how great he is soon but what a tough loss for Mr. Kennedy! He worked very hard to get.........

Lawler: "Oh cry me a river! He lost to the better man tonight, why can't we just say that"?!

KENNEDY LEFT WITH A VERY DISAPPOINTED LOOK ON HIS FACE AS ORTON STOOD IN THE RING, STARING AT THE BELT.

J.R.: "Well what I will say is that coming up next, we will be crowning the 2008 King of the Ring"!

AN AD IS SHOWN FOR THE 2008 TWF AWARDS! VOTING WILL BE AVAILABLE ON TWF.COM FOLLOWING THE 2008 KING OF THE RING!

BACK TO LIVE ACTION, THE MUSIC OF THE UNITED NATIONS COMES ON AND THE VERY IMPOSING VLADIMIR KOZLOV MAKES HIS WAY DOWN THE RAMP TO JUST ABOUT ALL BOOS.

J.R.: "Well, I guess it's you and me this time, Honky Tonk Man".

HTM: "Trust me, J.R., I've sat next to much worse than you when it comes to this commentating thing..... just don't talk about barbecue, please".

J.R.: "Okay, well let's talk about this very impressive Russian on his way to the ring. Vladimir Kozlov has been next to unstoppable and you see a lot more of him than I do".

HTM: "I can't see anything, including a bolt of lightning stopping this man from wearing that crown tonight".

"FLY FROM THE INSIDE" HITS AGAIN AND JASON OLIVER MAKES HIS WAY OUT. HE SEEMS SOMEWHAT NERVOUS, BUT FOCUSED ALL AT ONCE.

J.R.: "It will certainly be the biggest match in the career of Jason Oliver, a man who has nearly won this tournament in the past but if he's going to do it tonight, he will have to find a way to defeat a man who so far has been very hard to even get off his feet"!

HTM: "No offense to what these guys are doing over on Rampage, but to me, the U.N. is clearly the dominant group in the TWF".

2008 King of the Ring Tournament Final

Jason Oliver vs. Vladimir Kozlov

The bell sounded to start the match and Oliver tried to avoid getting in the clinch with Kozlov but Kozlov was able to back him into the corner and he then grabbed him. Oliver tried to shake free but Kozlov had him in a standing waistlock. Oliver was able to bend over and pick Kozlov's leg using both hands and he tripped him up. When Kozlov got to his feet, Oliver landed a 1 legged dropkick followed by a corkscrew legdrop. He then went to the middle turnbuckle and jumped off but Kozlov got up and caught him in mid air in a bear hug. After squeezing with all his might for about 30 seconds, Kozlov took Oliver over with a belly to belly suplex before going for the cover, but Oliver kicked out at 2. Oliver was still feeling the effects of the suplex and Kozlov began to pick him apart and put him in position for the defeat. After another big suplex, Kozlov got a running start and used a push kick to send Oliver into the corner. He then ran in but Oliver got out of the way before landing a series of hard right hands. Oliver then ran the ropes and ducked a wild clothesline from Kozlov. After hitting the other side of the ropes, Oliver went for a crossbody but all he hit was the big head of the Moscow Mauler, who used his headbutt to knock all the wind out of Oliver. After crashing to the mat hard, the self proclaimed "King of Sting" did all he could do to survive, rolling out of the ring. Referee Mike Enos began to administer a count and it looked like Kozlov was going to win by count out when Enos reached a count of 7. But that count was interrupted when Cody Rhodes came running out from the back and jumping on the apron. As Enos did his best to get Rhodes off, Ted Dibiase, Jr. came out of the crowd with what appeared to be a golden scepter. He got into the ring and when Kozlov turned around, Dibiase smashed the scepter over Kozlov's head, bending it in the process. Oliver began to get to his feet and Kozlov did his best to get up as well. When he did, Oliver was waiting with the "Claymore" and he covered Kozlov, who never knew what hit him, for the 1...........2............3!

Match Time: 5:31

J.R.: "What the hell is going on?! Jason Oliver just got an assist from Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibiase to become the King of the Ring"!

HTM: "All I can say is, the U.N. might soon be invading a town near you and the stars of Rampage, J.R.! He broke that scepter on Kozlov's head"!

"FLY FROM THE INSIDE" PLAYED AGAIN AS GOLD CONFETTI FELL FROM THE RAFTERS. OLIVER LEFT WITH BOTH RHODES AND DIBIASE, AS WELL AS A BIG SMILE ON HIS FACE AS THE CROWD BOOED.

J.R.: "It was clear that Kozlov had this match well in hand, but what is the relation between Oliver and these two young men and what made them come out here and sabotage this tournament"?!

HTM: "The three count has been registered and there is no changing it now. Jason Oliver is your 2008 King of the Ring"!

BACKSTAGE.......

IN THE BACK, LENA YADA IS STANDING BY WITH JOHN CENA.

Lena Yada: "Cena, in just a few minutes, you will have a chance to once again become TWF Universal champion. What is it gonna take to beat Edge"?

John Cena: "I know I have what it takes to beat Edge. So as long as there are no foreign objects, nobody named Sam I Am or whatever he calls himself, no ref "accidentally" getting knocked down or anything like that, I think you'll see a new champ tonight".

Lena: "Good luck".

CENA SMILES AND WALKS OFF, HEADING TOWARDS THE RING.

THE SHOT GOES BACK TO THE PRIMETIME BROADCAST POSITION.

Cole: "Seems like a very confident challenger if you ask me, partner".

HTM: "He may be, but he's up against one of the better big match competitors the TWF has ever seen so it should be one helluva match"!

"MY TIME IS NOW" HITS AND JOHN CENA COMES OUT TO A VERY MIXED RESPONSE BUT HE HEADS TO THE RING CONFIDENT AS EVER.

Cole: "Let's not forget that Cena was the champion when Edge won the title in the Gates of Hell match back in October of 2007. It is a title reign that has over fourteen months, by far the longest ever"!

HTM: "And that's why I say, Cena may be confident, but Edge knows what it takes to get the job done"!

BOOS FILTER IN WHEN "METALINGUS" BY ALTER BRIDGE COMES ON AND EDGE COMES OUT FROM THE BACK WITH THE UNIVERSAL TITLE STRAPPED AROUND HIS WAIST. HE IS WEARING A "RATED R SUPERSTAR" SKULL CAP AND HE MARCHES TO THE RING VERY QUICKLY.

Cole: "He might know how to get the job done in your book, but in the book of mos logical people, it's usually against the rules".

HTM: "Was that supposed to be an insult? Trust me, you don't want to go there with me, Cole. I've got a nice chiny guitar sitting next to me here with your name on it".

Cole: "Okay, well getting back to the reason people tuned in tonight, we are ready for our main event.... for the Universal title".

TWF Universal Title Match

Challenger: John Cena vs. Edge

Edge tried to run up on Cena from behind before the bell sounded but looking at the TWF Tron, Cena saw it coming and turned around, popping Edge with a right hand. After a big clothesline, he pulled the champion up and whipped him to the ropes before delivering a backbody drop. Cena then ran the ropes himself and took Edge out with a flying shoulder tackle. Cena received several boos as Edge rolled out of the ring and actually called a timeout. Edge tried to get back into the ring, but Cena was all over him, not letting him get any kind of break. After a big spinning sideslam, Cena called for the 5 Knuckle Shuffle, but when he ran the ropes, Edge got up and dropkicked his right kneecap, perhaps preventing himself from losing in record time. With Cena in a lot of pain, Edge got down and drove his right hand into his head numerous times before getting up and stomping on the back of his head and shoulder area. As Cena stood up, Edge delivered a nasty running kneelift which put him right back on the mat. Edge was in control for the next few minutes of the match and after dropping Cena with a DDT, he made the cover but the challenger was up at 2. Edge measured Cena for the spear but when he went for it, Cena punted him right in the face! The crowd couldn't believe the impact and Cena pumped his arms as the adrenaline shot through his body. A scoop slam led to Cena delivering a big legdrop of all things and he then waited for Edge to get up, getting him up on his shoulders. But Edge was able to slide off and deliver the Edge-O-Matic. He went for the cover but Cena came up with another kickout. Edge went for the spear again and this time connected. He covered Cena and referee Mike Chioda dropped to the mat to count the 1...........2........, but Cena was up! Edge pulled at his hair in disbelief before going to the outside of the ring and grabbing the Universal title. He brought it into the ring but it was clear he was trying to get himself disqualified so Chioda got in his way and tried to grab the belt. As Edge and Chioda struggled, Cena got up and drove a spear of his own into the body of the champion! Cena then followed that with the 5 Knuckle Shuffle and a good part of the crowd was ready to see a new champ. Cena went to the outside of the ring and to the top rope, waiting for Edge. Edge slowly got up and Cena flew off for a legdrop to the back of the head but Edge moved at the last second and all Cena hit was the mat..... HARD! Edge then ran the ropes and Cena got up, only to be bowled over with another spear and this time, Edge got the 3 count!

Match Time: 10:52

HTM: "He got him! The title stays with the champ"!

Cole: "Edge has found a way to hold onto the title..... unbelievable! Cena made one mistake and Edge made him pay for it"!

"METALINGUS" PLAYED AGAIN AND EDGE HELD THE TITLE UP IN CELEBRATION AS THE CROWD BOOED. CENA WAS DOWN IN A LOT OF DISAPPOINTMENT, REALIZING WHAT HAD HAPPENED.

HTM: "I told you, Edge is the big game guy in the TWF! He's like Michael Jordan or Roger Clemens...... he always finds a way"!

Cole: "You have to give the devil his due! A great effort by John Cena, but it comes up just a little bit short"!

THE CELEBRATION CONTINUED FOR EDGE AS CENA LEFT THE RING AND THE SHOT FADED OUT.
