Lawler:"This pay-per-view is appropriately titled "Rest in Peace" J.R.".
J.R.:"That's exactly what someone will do tonight when The Undertaker defends his TWF title against his brother Kane".
Lawler:"And what about that match between Travis Wakeman and Chris Benoit? What if Benoit wins? He'll get five minutes alone with Trish. What'll he do to her"?
J.R.:"God only knows".
Lawler:"Well I know what I'd do to her"!
J.R.:"All that plus two other title matches as well as five traditional Survivor Series matches! Let's get things started"!
****Survivor Series Elimination match:
Raven, Perry Saturn, Viscera and The Big Boss Man vs. Al Snow, Crash, Electric Coma and Essa Rios: The match started with The Big Boss Man and Essa Rios. Rios hung tough, but The Boss Man showed his mean streak as he slammed Rios with 3 Boss Man slams to eliminate him. This brought Electric Coma into the match who slugged it out with The Boss Man until he was nailed by a big boot to the face which put him out. Crash came in to try his hand but after a Boss Man slam, Viscera came in and crushed Crash with a big splash to pin him. This left Al Snow to go 1 on 4. Boss Man got back into the ring and quickly took the fight outside. But while referee Mike Sparks was arguing with Perry Saturn, Snow picked up the ringsteps and busted The Boss Man open with them. He rolled Boss Man into the ring and pinned him. Viscera quickly came in and attacked Snow. Viscera destroyed Snow with the "Vis Bomb" and Raven came in to pick up the pieces, blasting Snow with the evenflow ddt to eliminate him.
Match Time: 30:19
SURVIVORS: Viscera, Perry Saturn & Raven
****Survivor Series Elimination match:
X-Pac, Masato Tanaka and THe Hardy Boyz vs. The Graet Muta, Kid Gundam, and Kai en tai: The match started off in lightning quick fashion between Matt Hardy and Funaki. These two pulled off an exciting series of moves but Funaki got a surprise pin with a small package on Matt. His brother Jeff quickly jumped in. After several tags on both sides, Jeff and Funaki squared off again. Funaki caught Jeff with a beautiful tiger suplex off of a counter which Jeff narrowly escaped from. But it did cause noticeable damage as Jeff was eliminated moments later by a gutwrench suplex. In came the lightheavyweight champion Masato Tanaka. Tanaka struggled with Funaki but fought his way back into the match. Funaki made the tag to a fresh Muta who came in and wore Tanaka down, setting him up for Taka's "Michinoku Driver". This left X-Pac alone against the whole team. But X-Pac came in energized and knocked everybody off the apron. He then caught Funaki with the bronco buster to put him out. Funaki's partner Taka came in but X-Pac was ready and he hit him with the "X-Factor" and just like that, it was 2 on 1. Kid Gundam came in to renew his rivalry with X-Pac. These two just beat each other. Suddenly, X-Pac turned and was blinded by the mist out of MUta's mouth. Gundam then caught X-Pac with a variation of the Michinoku Driver to get the win.
Match Time: 29:12
SURVIVORS: Kid Gundam & Great Muta
Lawler:"Did you see that J.R.? He spit something in his face"!
J.R.:"Some greta action so far King, Tag Team titles are up next"!
****TWF Tag Team Title Match: Challengers....Eddie Guerrero & Chyna vs. Edge & Christian: This was a very good matchup. Things were all in favor of "Latino Heat" early but Edge & Christian used great tag team technique, cutting the ring in half and isolating Chyna to swing the momentum. A frustrated Guerrero made several attempts to get into the ring but the experienced champs only used it as an oppurtunity to double team Chyna as the ref cut Guerrero off each time. Guerrero finally ran around the outside of the ring and pulled Christian off the apron. But inside the ring, Edge caught Chyna with the "Downward Spiral" to get the pin.
Match Time: 9:46
Lawler:"That was a great match J.R."!
J.R.:"Yeah, but those jerks are still the champs".
(Rikishi's music hits)
Lawler:"This should be good".
J.R.:"Rikishi is the man who accepted Hardcore Holly's challenge on RAW. He hasn't competed in months".
****Rikishi vs. Hardcore Holly: This turned out to be a knock down, drag out fight. Holly controlled the match early but Rikishi's size affected him throughout the match. Holly attempted several body slams and back suplexes to no avail and put a lot of strain on his back in the process. The tide turned when Rikishi caught Holly coming off the ropes with a samoan drop. He followed that up with the "Rikishi Driver" to get the win. After the match, Rikishi crushed Holly with 3 banzai drops.
J.R.:"That's enough. Somebody get out here and stop this".
Lawler:"What's gotten into Rikishi"?
J.R.:"Well folks, we learned this past week on RAW that Mike Norton is the man who attacked Test a few weeks ago".
(Footage is shown)
Lawler:"We also learned that Test is engeged to Norton's sister"!
J.R.:"This should be a hellacious match here"!
****Survivor Series elimination match:
Test, Bull Buchanan, & The Dudley Boyz vs. Mike Norton, The Boogie Woogie Man & Too Cool: This battle started with D-Von Dudley and Grandmaster Sexay. The two used numerous power moves on each other but D-Von hung in tough as he planted Sexay with a reverse ddt drop. Grandmaster's partner Scotty Too Hotty took exception and came in on fire against D-Von. Scotty hit D-Von with everything but D-Von showed he can take a beating. Suddenly, Buh Buh Ray entered the ring and the Dudleys hit 3D on Scotty to put him out. The Boogie Woogie Man came in and went straight for D-Von. After a relentless attack, D-Von still got up, kicking out of at least a dozen pin attempts. The Boogie Woogie Man had one major move left and it was a devastating powerbomb that finally eliminated D-Von. D-Von's half brother Buh Buh Ray came in with a head of steam. Buh Buh continuously jabbed Boogie and then put him down with a suplex. Then Buh Buh nailed him with a senton splash off the top rope which knocked out every ounce of energy that Boogie had left. Buh Buh pinned Boogie and Mike Norton came in, the last member of his team. Norton did his beat as Buh Buh, Bull and Test frequently exchanged tags. As Norton took control of Buh Buh, he turned right into a devastating boot from Test. He then fell victim to the "Buh Buh Cutter" and was pinned.
Match Time: 43:19
SURVIVORS: Buh Buh Ray Dudley, Bull Buchanan & Test
J.R.:"Valiant effort by Norton but the odds were stacked way against him. The Hardcore title will be on the line momentarily".
Lawler:"Steve Blackman personally requested this match on RAW J.R.".
****TWF Hardcore Title match.....Challenger....Steve Blackman vs. Weapon R: This hardcore match traveled all over the arena. As the fight carried backstage, Weapon R and Masato Tanaka, longtime rivals, crossed paths. Weapon R, unprovoked, struck Tanaka with a martial arts kick, splitting his lip open. This turned out to be a costly mistake. As Blackman and Weapon R fought their way back to the ring, Tanaka came running out and struck Weapon R with the lightheavyweight title. He then marveled the crowd with a reverse frankensteiner off the top rope on Weapon R. Blackman covered Weapon R for the 1-2-3 to become Hardcore champ for the third time.
Match Time:9:22
Lawler:"We've got a new Hardcore champion J.R.".
J.R.:"Well somethin' tells me that things ain't over between Tanaka and Weapon R. Up next, two former Olympians will find out who the better man is".
Lawler:"Kurt Angle won the gold medal in 1996 J.R.. Mark Henry didn't even place".
J.R.:"Well this is a much different stage King".
****Mark Henry vs. Kurt Angle: This match was over quickly. Angle struggled with the weight disadvantage but managed a nice german suplex which nearly scored the win. But that was all the offense Angle could muster as Henry utilized his power to overcome Angle. Henry scooped Angle up and powerslammed him to the mat, driving all the air out of him to score the pinfall.
Match Time: 5:00
Lawler:"I've gotta consider that an upset J.R.".
J.R.:"That is a huge win for Henry. Folks, the Women's title hangs in the balance in one of the most anticipated matches on tonight's card".
Lawler:"I know, I can't wait"!
J.R.:"Let's show you the history between Tori and Jessica Lopez that has led to this unique matchup".
(Footage is shown)
****Survivor Series Elimination/TWF Women's title match:
Jessica Lopez, Lita, Molly Holly and The Kat vs. Women's champ Tori, Ivory, Jacqueline,& Terri:
This match started between Terri and The Kat, two of the more inexperienced on each side. The Kat looked totally out of place, wrestling in high heels but her and Terri both used several good wrestling moves. The two went at each other tooth and nail for several minutes until The Kat crushed Terri with a hard knee lift into the abdomen to pin her. This brought in Jacqueline whpo only lasted a few seconds. The Kat ducked a clotesline attempt and caught Jackie with a german suplex to pin her and stun everyone in attendance. Tori's title was in jeopardy. Ivory stepped in to face The Kat. The Kat caught Ivory with the same move but she barely kicked out. Ivory regained her composure and wore The Kat down, eventually pinning her with a nice roll up. The newcomer Molly Holly joined the match. What a matchup these two had! Molly wowwed the crowd when she caught Ivory with possibly the move of the night, a flipping bicycle kick. She had Ivory reeling as she got 5 2 and a half counts. But Ivory showed some resiliency as she fought back and caught Molly with a jumping kick square in the mouth to pin her, evening the odds. The highflyin' Lita entered the ring next. Ivory tried to humiliate Lita with a slap across the face. But that only ignited the red head as she used a textbook hurrancanrana to pin Ivory, leaving the Women's champ Tori all by herself. Tori and Lita put on one heck of a show. Both women displayed tremendous quickness and agility. In a very impressive turn of events, Lita tried a flying head scissors but Tori somehow landed on her feet and caught Lita with a spinning heel kick that put her lights out. Tori pinned Lita to set up a showdown. Tori and Jessica Lopez one on one, Women's title on the line. These two proved that they are worst enemies as they used any move possible to gain the upper hand. Lopez brought the crowd to it's feet when she landed on Tori with a moonsault off the top rope but she only got a long 2 count. Tori recovered and scratched and tangled with Lopez. Then, Tori used her own version of the bronco buster followed by another spinning heel kick to get the win.
Match Time: 52:18
SOLE SURVIVOR: Tori
J.R.:"Well Tori has just successfully defended her title in the most difficult of situations".
Lawler:"Speaking of difficult situations J.R., "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and Tazz are next"!
****Tazz vs. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin: This ended up as one of the weirdest situations in TWF history. Tazz had the advantage early, using several suplexes on Austin and showing how he earned the name, "Human Suplex Machine". Tazz then brought in one of his weight belts but Austin stopped him before he could use it. Austin then picked up the weight belt and beat Tazz like a dog with it. Firmly in control, Austin went for the kill. As Tazz got up, he charged with a clothesline and accidentally hit referee Mike Kiotta. Tazz went outside and grabbed a steel chair but Austin beat him to the punch inside the ring. With the ref still out, Tazz lowblowed Austin and hammered him 3 times with the chair. He then applied the "Tazz-Plex" to seal the victory as Kiotta got up and counted the 1-2-3. As Tazz left, Austin laid in the ring and the lights went out. The same image of the glowing snake appeared on the TWF Tron! As the chilling music filled the arena, a voice came over the PA system.
Voice:"Austin, you call yourself the Rattlesnake. We'll see how much you like snakes Austin".
-As the lights come bacl on, there are two snakes in the ring with the unconcious Austin. Several TWF officials run to the ring to pull Austin out of harms way.
Lawler:"Oh my god J.R.".
J.R.:"What in the hell is goin' on here? Somebody needs to get to the bottom of this and quick. Folks, we are ready for our final Survivor Series elimination match. Boy there's some bitter rivalries in this one".
****Survivor Series Elimination match:
Ahmed Walker, William Regal, Billy Gunn & The British Bulldog vs. Chris Jericho, Val Venis, The Road Dogg & K-Kwik: The match started between The British Bulldog and K-Kwik, two very contrasting styles. The Bulldog dominated K-Kwik in his debut and showed no signs of ring rust since his long absence from the ring. After a relentless attack, The Bulldog polished off K-Kwik with his trademark powerslam to eliminate him. Current TWF European champion Val Venis came in next. Bulldog and Venis went toe to toe. The Bulldog survived a picture perfect fisherman suplex and kicked out of a german suplex before he caught Venis with his powerslam out of nowhere. With Venis eliminated, Road Dogg joined the fray. Bulldog and his teammates made frequent tags to keep a fresh man in the ring. Road Dogg fought with everything he had but Ahmed Walker dropped him with the "Painkiller" which Billy Gunn followed up with the "Fame-Asser" to get the pin. This left Chris Jericho to go against four men. Jericho came in fired up, dropkicking Gunn off the apron. But after he got slowed down, the odds were too much to overcome. With The British Bulldog getting referee Ed Courderis' attention, William Regal tossed a steel chair in to Walker who cracked Jericho over the head with it to get the win.
Match Time: 22:55
SURVIVORS: Ahmed Walker, William Regal, Billy Gunn & The British Bulldog
Lawler:"The whole team survived J.R."!
J.R.:"That's something that hasn't happened that many times. Up next folks is a very volatile situation. Let's show you the events that have led to this match".
(Footage is shown)
(Chris Benoit's music hits)
Lawler:"Here he comes J.R., let's hope he doesn't get his hands on Trish tonight".
J.R.:"Trish Stratus will be suspended in a cage above the ring fans. If Benoit wins, it will be lowered and Benoit can do as he pleases for five minutes".
****Chris Benoit vs. Travis Wakeman: This was a great technical contest. Both men used hard right hands to keep the other away. Wakeman tried to take the match outside the ring any chance he got. Benoit never mounted much of an attack because Wakeman had him scouted so well. Feeling like he was in control, Wakeman tried to put it away. He hit Benoit with a sambo suplex followed by a nice belly to belly suplex. Benoit was in trouble as Wakeman went to the top rope, flew off with a guillotine legdrop and nailed him for the pinfall. Wakeman then got the key from referee Tim White as the cage lowered. Suddenly, Kurt Angle appeared at ringside. Wakeman paid no attention to him as he opened the cage door and carried Trish from the ring.
J.R.:"Look at the smile on her face".
Lawler:"I'd be smiling too knowing I didn't have to be alone with Benoit".
J.R.:"That's a great moment folks but things are about to get ugly. Kane and The Undertaker have a storied past and they'll add to that tonight".
(Extensive footage of their history is shown)
(Kane's music hits)
Lawler:"Here we go. We could be looking at the next TWF champion J.R."!
J.R.:"Well the American Badass will have something to say about that".
****TWF Title match....Chalenger: Kane vs. The Undertaker: The Undertaker made extremely quick work of his brother as he didn't allow Kane to get into any kind of rhythum. Undertaker just outpowered Kane and amazed the crowd by putting Kane in the "Last Ride" to get the win and remain champion.
Lawler:"What happened J.R."?
J.R.:"That may have been the quickest title match in TWF history. If you blinked, you might have missed it. What a night it's been! RAW is WAR will be action packed and folks join us again next month on pay-per-view for TWF War in the Winter! Good night everybody"!
