OUTSIDE WITH THEM ON A SMALL PODIUM IS THE LOVELY MARIA WHO IS WEARING A BLACK DRESS THAT IS CUT VERY SHORT. Maria: "Hello everybody and welcome to Uprising as we are counting down to TWF Payback which features the best brand of wrestling on the planet today...... PrimeTime! THE FANS CHEER Now, we don't have a lot of time tonight but if there is anybody out there that has not ordered Payback, I don't think you guys want to miss out on this! Anyone here wanna see Ric Flair?! MARIA HOLDS HER MIC OUT AS HUNDREDS OF LOUD CHEERS AND "WOOOOS" FOLLOW. Oh yeah, the Nature Boy will team with Axl Irvin tonight to face Eddie Saint James and Vlad the Impaler! THE FANS BOO AS THEY HEAR THE LATTER TWO NAMES. But what about Batista guys? UPRISING RETURNS RIGHT AS ROB CONWAY's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT TO MOSTLY BOOS AS THE FANS ARE JUST BEGINNING TO FILE INTO THEIR SEATS. MICHAEL COLE AND JESSE VENTURA ARE SHOWN FROM THE BROADCAST POSITION. Michael Cole: "Moments away from TWF Payback, we are back on Uprising and ready for action but folks, if the lovely Maria wasn't convincing enough, this event starts in just under ten minutes so if you have yet to hit that button on your remote saying you want to order Payback, make sure you do so now". Jesse Ventura: "I think Maria could convince me to do just about anything Cole, including come to a show dressed like this clown sitting behind us". "MISTERRRRRRRRRRR KENNEDY" IS HEARD AND THAT LEADS INTO KEN KENNEDY's MUSIC AS HE COMES OUT TO A MIXED REACTION. Cole: "On the last edition of Uprising, we saw Rob Conway get somewhat of a tainted victory over Ken Kennedy so Mister Kennedy has asked for this rematch and what a way to start the night"! Ventura: "Kennedy just took Howard Finkel's microphone, here comes my favorite part". Ken Kennedy: "Let's see if we can do a little better next time, huh Fink? Anyway, tonight, I attempt to right a wrong. A little over a week ago, my opponent tonight, Rick Conway, cheated to beat me. I like that, I like your style Rick, but it won't happen tonight. Now, I weigh in tonight at a staggering two hundred and forty seven pounds. I hail from Green Bay, Wisconsin. Misterrrrrrr Kennedy........... KENNEDY WALKS OVER AND GETS ON THE MIDDLE TURNBUCKLE OF ONE OF THE CORNERS. Ventura: "Shhh, he's not done". Kennedy"! FROM BEHIND, CONWAY ATTACKS KENNEDY WITH A SHOT TO THE BACK AND PULLS HIM OFF THE TURNBUCKLE TO THE MAT AS THE REFEREE CALLS FOR THE BELL. Rob Conway vs. Ken Kennedy Conway had the early advantage after the sneak attack and after dropping Kennedy on his head with a backdrop suplex, he called for the "Ego Trip". But Kennedy wouldn't allow him to get him up, countering with a small package for a 2 count. Conway got up and threw a right hand but Kennedy ducked and went for an irish whip. But Conway reversed it and shot Kennedy to the corner before running in and climbing to the middle turnbuckle, hammering away on Kennedy. But after 3 right hands, Kennedy countered with a variation of a powerbomb before falling into a cover to get the 1........2........, but the count was stopped when the referee caught Kennedy with his feet on the ropes. Kennedy then got in the face of the ref but it was all a plan as Conway tried to come in but Kennedy booted him in the midsection and hit a stiff DDT. From there, Kennedy went to the top rope and came off with a swanton bomb that he is apparently calling the "Kenton Bomb" to get the 1........2........3. Match Time: 8:53 Cole: "Chalk it up, a solid win for Mister Kennedy"! KENNEDY's MUSIC PLAYED AND HE WALKED UP THE RAMP, IGNORING THE FANS. Ventura: "I've said it before and I'll say it again, we're looking at a star in Ken Kennedy"! THE SHOT FADES TO BLACK AND MOMENTS LATER, THE TWF ENTERTAINMENT LOGO POPS UP FOLLOWED BY ALL THE LEGAL INFO THAT INCLUDES THE GENERAL COPYRIGHT DISCLAIMER. A DARK ROOM, FILLED WITH SMOKE COMES INTO THE SHOT. A MAN DRESSED LIKE A GANGSTER FROM THE 1930s IS SHOWN, PUFFING ON A CIGAR. JUST THEN, A MAN ENTERS THE ROOM AND APPEARS ALMOST AFRAID TO SPEAK. Gangster: "So"? Man: "Uh, the money's not there". Gangster: "Then I want you and one of the others to go get it". Man: "I heard he got a bodyguard..... a big bodyguard". THE GANGSTER SLAMS HIS HAND DOWN ON THE TABLE, KNOCKING PLAYING CARDS AND POKER CHIPS EVERYWHERE. Gangster: "I don't care what he's got! What the hell do I pay you for, Johnny"?! Man: "Ye... yes sir". THE MAN OPENS THE DOOR AND LEAVES IN A HURRY. THE SHOT THEN GOES TO A DIFFERENT SCENE WHERE THE SAME MAN AND ANOTHER, VERY OBESE MAN, ARE MAKING THEIR WAY DOWN A DARK STAIRWELL. A RAT RUNS BY ONE OF THE MEN's FEET. THE MAN KNOWN AS JOHNNY KNOCKS ON THE DOOR. HE IS HOLDING A BILLY CLUB AND THE OTHER GUY HAS A CHAIN IN HIS HAND. A VOICE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE DOOR SAYS "WHO IS IT"? Johnny: "We're hear to collect..... it's payback time". JOHNNY TURNS TO LOOK AT THE OTHER GUY AND BOTH MEN START TO LAUGH BUT THE DOOR SWINGS OPEN AND A HAND GRABS JOHNNY BY THE SHIRT, FLINGING HIM INTO THE WALL. BATISTA STEPS OUT FROM THE WRETCHED APARTMENT AS THE MAN WITH THE CHAIN STEPS UP, TAKING A SWING. BATISTA DODGES THE SHOT AND KICKS THE GUY RIGHT IN THE FACE, KNOCKING HIM TO THE CONCRETE. Batista: "I don't think so"! BATISTA GETS UP AND WALKS AWAY WHEN CHRIS TUCKER, DRESSED AS SMOKEY FROM THE HIT MOVIE "FRIDAY" COMES OUT OF THE APARTMENT AND GETS DOWN IN THE BIG GUY's FACE. Chris Tucker: "You just got knocked the f*ck out"! THE SHOT SWITCHES TO SHOWING THE OUTSIDE OF THE GREENSBORO COLISEUM BEFORE GOING INSIDE WHERE THERE ARE A TON OF FANS, SCREAMING AND CHEERING AS PYRO BLASTS OFF EVERYWHERE. "COMING UNDONE" BY KORN IS PLAYING OVER THE LOUDSPEAKERS. Audio Voiceover: "And now, TWF Entertainment and Hitman: Blood Money by Eidos presents............ AS SOON AS THE PYRO STOPS, THERE IS A BRIEF DELAY BEFORE "CAUTION, DANGEROUS CURVES AHEAD" BY MAYLENE AND THE SONS OF DISASTER PLAYS AND OUT COMES BILL CUTTING IN HIS CAMOFLAUGE, ARMY FATIGUE-LIKE SHORTS TO MOSTLY ALL BOOS. Cole: "We are live in Greensboro, North Carolina from the famed Greensboro Coliseum for TWF Payback and we are starting out with the Lightheavyweight championship of the world"! Jesse Ventura: "It is one of my favorite things about being a part of PrimeTime and this guy could change the division forever tonight"! Cole: "Bill Cutting is not your typical lightheavyweight. Basically, he just fits the weight specifications but he wrestles like a heavyweight and he will be a much different challenge than Paul London is used to tonight"! PAUL LONDON's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT TO A GOOD RECEPTION WITH THE LIGHTHEAVYWEIGHT TITLE BELT AROUND HIS WAIST. AFTER TAKING A FEW STEPS OUT, HE RUNS DOWN THE RAMP AND SLIDES INTO THE RING UNDER THE BOTTOM ROPE. Ventura: "London has been a great champion and some consider him the best the TWF has ever seen but I agree Cole, he's never faced a guy like Cutting"! Cole: "London has held the title since October of last year but not only is he facing Cutting, but Cutting is a very different man than the one that came to the TWF, ya know, the man we used to call Mariner". Ventura: "And we're not even gonna get into that tonight Michael because you know my stance. Look at his success as Mariner and look at his success as Bill Cutting, as himself instead of someone he's not, someone these people wanted him to be"! TWF Lightheavyweight Title Match Challenger: Bill Cutting vs. Paul London The bell sounded and Cutting made the first move, grabbing London in a collar and elbow tie. But London was able to reverse positions and move Cutting to the corner. Referee Mickey Henson moved in to get a break but London surprisingly slapped Cutting across the face. London then tried for a grab but Cutting pushed him away and just dropped him with a stiff right hand. After a hard kick to the ribs, Cutting got on the mat, trying to lock in a crossface. London fought it but Cutting was able to get the hold on. London was in trouble early but as Cutting pulled back on the hold, London was able to wheel his left leg around to the bottom rope to earn a break. Cutting took all of Henson's count to break the hold before getting up and stomping on the shoulder blade area of the champion. Cutting pulled London up and shot him to the ropes, drilling him with a back elbow before trying to go back to the crossface. But London rolled out of the way and under the bottom rope. Trying to earn a brief rest period, London was taken out by a baseball slide that knocked him into the barricade that surrounded the fans. After a hard clothesline, Cutting pulled London up and whipped him hard into the steel ring post. Cutting rolled London back into the ring but London showed the heart of a champion, punching Cutting in the stomach twice when he got back in. London then hit the ropes but Cutting drove his knee into the abdomen of London. Cutting dropped a big elbow on him and made the cover but Henson could only reach 2 before London was up. Cutting went on to deliver a big suplex before locking in a single leg crab. London was able to crawl to the bottom rope but Cutting drug him to the center of the ring and dropped down, turning the hold into an STF. London was screaming in agony as Cutting wrenched the hold in. But London refused to quit. After nearly a minute, Cutting released the hold and pulled London to his feet. He shot him to the ropes and missed with a clothesline before London drilled him with the dropsault. London then hit a standing moonsault but barely got a 2 count on the cover. Re-energized, London whipped Cutting to the corner and followed in but walked into a kick to the face. Cutting ran out but London picked him up. It looked like he was going to deliver a spinebuster but instead, he set him up on the top turnbuckle. London climbed up with him but Cutting headbutted him before raking his eyes. Then, the crowd couldn't believe what they were seeing as Cutting tried to set him up for a top rope powerbomb. He got him up for it but incredibly, London countered by turning it into a frankensteiner! A strong "Holy Shit" chant immediately kicked up as London rolled into a cover and Henson issued the 3 count. Match Time: 8:37 Cole: "Oh what a counter! Paul London is still the champion"! Ventura: "I can't believe this Cole, he was dominated in that match"! LONDON's MUSIC HIT AND HE LEFT WITH THE TITLE OVER HIS SHOULDER, SLAPPING HANDS WITH THE CROWD BUT HE WAS IN OBVIOUS PAIN. Cole: "London is becoming more and more known for his resiliency and it paid off tonight! A hard fought, successful title defense for London here at Payback and he's going on nine months as champ"! BACKSTAGE...... CAMERAS IN ONE OF THE DRESSING ROOMS PICK UP WHAT SEEMS TO BE A FAIRLY HEATED CONVERSATION BETWEEN AXL IRVIN AND RIC FLAIR. Axl Irvin: "Come on Ric, you can't honestly think that Traci should stay back here tonight. I mean, we gotta deal with Mitchell and now, we've gotta deal with this..... this Monica girl". Ric Flair: "All I'm saying is we are in Flair country tonight. Greensboro baby! And I don't want to be embarrassed in any way by that girlfriend of yours". FLAIR OFFERS HIS HAND AND AXL SHAKES IT BUT HAS AN UNSETTLING LOOK IN HIS EYES. Flair: "Wooooooo! See ya out there man, I've got some mingling to go do". "3 MINUTES" BY 2 SKINNY J's HITS AND ROSEY COMES OUT ALONG WITH DAIVARI TO SOME SERIOUS BOOS. Cole: "Things still just aren't quite right with those two but these two definitely seem to be on the same page". Ventura: "Bobby Lashley fell right into Daivari's trap and Rosey made him pay for it"! BOBBY LASHLEY's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT TO A MAJOR CHEER AS PYRO BLASTS OFF BEHIND HIM. Cole: "Yeah, excuse Lashley for thinking that Daivari asked for that match like a man, excuse Lashley for wanting to go out and compete one on one! He should've known all along what kind of man Daivari is and Rosey too for that matter! Tonight, I think the shoe will be on the other foot"! Ventura: "Look, I know you're impressed with Lashley, but Rosey is almost four hundred pounds of Samoan fighting machine and no matter what accolades Lashley carries with him, this will be no walk in the park"! Cole: "Yeah, especially with Daivari at ringside"! The bell sounded and Daivari yelled "Get him"! Rosey came to the center of the ring, face to face with the chiseled Lashley. Rosey threw the first punch but Lashley took it and responded with one of his own. That continued until each man had thrown 4 punches and Lashley finally knocked Rosey back before hitting him in the chest with a forearm. He then went for a bodyslam but seemed to wrench his back and Rosey clubbed him across it. Rosey then whipped him to the corner and followed in with a big corner splash. From there, Rosey dropped a spinning legdrop right across his throat and he made the cover but Lashley pushed him off at 2. Rosey whipped him to one of the other corners and slowly walked in, kicking him in the midsection multiple times. Rosey backed up and with a huge smile on Daivari's face, he ran in but Lashley moved out of the way, turning Daivari's facial expression to a negative one. Lashley then hoisted Rosey up and dropped him with a ring shaking running powerslam. He made the cover and got 1..........2.........., but Daivari came in to break it up, causing a DQ. Match Time: 4:44 Lashley got up and grabbed Daivari but the collar of his shirt as the crowd cheered but from behind, Rosey cracked him across the back with a steel chair. Cole: "Come on, the match is over"! FROM THERE, ROSEY PICKED LASHLEY UP AND DELIVERED A RELEASE SPIRAL BOMB, DROPPING LASHLEY ON THE BACK OF HIS HEAD. Ventura: "Sometimes you forget Michael that these guys aren't always about winning and losing as much as they are sending a message! Rosey may not have won the match, but Lashley doesn't look like a winner to me"! DAIVARI SHOUTED BACK AT THE RING BUT COULD NOT BE UNDERSTOOD AS ROSEY STOOD BY. THE CROWD WAS SERIOUSLY BOOING AS LASHLEY WAS SHOWN IN PAIN ON THE MAT. Cole: "Yeah, well if they think they're gonna keep Bobby Lashley down, they're gonna have to do a lot more than that"! BACKSTAGE......... WITH TWO LADIES AT HIS SIDE, RANDY ORTON COMES UP TO SNITSKY, WHO IMMEDIATELY STARTS STROKING HIS BEARD. Randy Orton: "Snitsky, I never got the chance to thank you for doing what you did to that punk Johnny Hazard for me. Ya see, he has no business ever being in the same ring as me. I mean, look at his Harem, where did he find those women? But take a look, feast your eyes on this man. SNITSKY LOOKS AND SMILES AS BOTH WOMEN SPIN AROUND. So, there's two of us, and two of them. I'll even give you first pick man. SNITSKY GRABS A YOUNG BLONDE GIRL OVER TO HIM BY HER HAND. And if Johnny Hazard gets in my way again, I want him taken out for good. DUSTIN KASH AND SEAN O'HAIRE STEP OUT IN LONG BLACK COATS WITH THE BLOOD BROTHERS SYMBOL ON THE BACK OF THE COATS. THEY BOTH ARE HOLDING BLACK WOODEN STAFFS AND THEY MARCH DOWN THE RAMP TO THE RING, SHOWERED BY BOOS.
Cole: "What in the hell is this? Is this some kind of a joke"?
Ventura: "Sure doesn't look like it, let's see what they have to say".

WITH THAT, RICKY STEAMBOAT SMACKED DUSTIN KASH ACROSS THE FACE. THE BLOOD BROTHERS RETALIATED WITH A HUGE BEATDOWN. STEAMBOAT TRIED TO FIGHT THEM OFF BUT THE NUMBERS GAME PLAYED AGAINST HIM. AFTER SEAN O'HAIRE HIT HIS TRADEMARK "WIDOW MAKER" AND DUSTIN KASH HIT HIS VERTABREAKER, THE TWO BEGAN REPEATEDLY WHACKING STEAMBOAT WITH THE STAFFS THEY HAD BROUGHT AND BUSTED HIM WIDE OPEN. DUSTIN KASH EVENTUALLY LIFTED STEAMBOAT UP AND GOT IN POSITION FOR A RUSSIAN LEGSWEEP BUT WAITED. SEAN O'HAIRE RAN TO THE ROPES, AND RAN BACK WITH AN STO AT THE SAME TIME THAT DUSTIN KASH HIT A RUSSIAN LEGSWEEP. THE MOVE WAS SOON AFTER IDENTIFIED BY MICHAEL COLE AS "THE AGONIZER". THE BLOOD BROTHERS THEN LEFT THE RING TO AN EXPLOSION OF BOOS WITH SADISTIC SMIRKS ON THEIR FACES.
Cole: "That's not right! The Blood Brothers just left Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat a bloody mess in front of his hometown, and for what"?!
Ventura: "We're on this again. To prove a point! The Blood Brothers have a bright future ahead of them, and they just proved it right now"!
Cole: "By beating the hell out of a guy double their age in a two on one beatdown"?!
Ventura: "No, by looking at one of wrestling's all time greats and metaphorically spitting in his face"!
Cole: "You've got to be kidding me, that's pathetic"!

Cole: "Regardless, someone needs to step up to these guys and prove a point of their own, one that says, you don't treat someone of Ricky Steamboat's stature like that"! BACKSTAGE AREA....... BACK INSIDE THE ARENA, ORLANDO JORDAN's MUSIC IS PLAYING AND HE STEPS OUT FROM THE BACK TO A LOT OF BOOS. Cole: "Well, do ya think Bahamut is actually gonna do it"? Ventura: "I think he'd be stupid not too and if he does, he should be the new Intercontinental champion by night's end". "FIREFLY" BY BREAKING BENJAMIN COMES ON AND CHRIS PLATOON COMES OUT TO A GOOD CHEER. Cole: "Well Orlando Jordan still has a big smile on his face but looking to wipe it off is this man, Chris Platoon"! Ventura: "Well here you're gonna see someone who has made the wrong choice, someone who has chosen to fight against JBL's army and the result of this match will prove that". Cole: "Well I talked to Chris when he got to the arena today and he is ready for this. He's been waiting a long time for his chance to shine on a big stage here in the TWF and he is going to make the most of this oppurtunity". Orlando Jordan vs. Chris Platoon This was a great match between two men who really wanted to show off their athletic ability. Jordan didn't think Platoon could hang with him but he proved he could and after dodging a left jab, he caught him with a jumping calf kick to the head. Platoon has been described as a leaner version of former TWF champion Triple H and he showed flashes off that here. After a facebuster on the knee, he drilled Jordan with a clothesline before going to the top rope. Platoon flew off but Jordan dropped to one knee and punched him in the gut before hitting the "Best Move Ever" and he fell into a cover. But showing the never say die attitude he is known for, Platoon kicked out at 2! Jordan pulled him up and whipped him to the corner but Platoon elevated to the middle turnbuckle and caught OJ with a sunset flip for a near fall. Platoon got up first and ran in but Jordan was waiting with a back elbow that caught him right in the mouth. From there, he showed shades of his former boxing background, staggering Platoon with 3 quick jabs before dropping him with a right hook. Jordan then made somewhat of an "A" with his arms to signify army before going to the top rope. He flew off with a crossbody but an alert Platoon rolled through it and nearly stole the match, getting a two and a half count. Both men were on their feet and Jordan caught Platoon with another quick punch before grabbing him in a side headlock. But Platoon countered with a backdrop suplex before pulling Jordan right up, looking for the "Last Chance". He almost had it hooked but Jordan freed one of his arms and countered with the Best Move Ever. He then pulled Platoon up by his blonde locks and hit another BME, the third of the match and referee Charles Robinson registered the 3 count when he rolled him over. Match Time: 9:14 Cole: "A gallant effort from Chris Platoon but three of those modified STO's from Orlando would keep any man down". Cole: "And that is why this makes for one of the more interesting tag team matchups we've seen in awhile partner because on one side, Flair has made it clear that he feels there is no glory in Axl winning matches with the help of Traci but on the other side, you've got this girl Monica who makes it almost a must for Traci to be out here tonight"! Ventura: "Well you heard Flair, he just doesn't want to be embarrassed out here tonight". Ric Flair and Axl Irvin w/ Traci Brooks vs. Eddie Saint James and Vlad the Impaler w/ James Mitchell and Monica As Flair and Axl discussed strategy, Mitchell ordered his men to attack and both Vlad and The Saint hit Flair at the same time, knocking him over the top rope and to the floor. They then focussed their attack on Axl as Traci came over to check on Flair. But Flair angrily slapped her arm away from him and grabbed the leg of Saint James, pulling him under the bottom rope and to the floor. Referee Mike Enos seemed to have already lost control of the bout as Flair punished The Saint with knifedge after knifedge. In the ring, Axl took 3 hard right hands from Vlad before being clotheslined by him in the corner. Vlad then got him up on his shoulders but Axl slipped off and hit a desperation diamond cutter. Axl made his way to his corner, fighting for every inch as a great camera shot revealed what appeared to be a broken nose. He got to the corner but Flair was still battling with The Saint and had an irish whip reversed, being sent head first into the steel ring post. Vlad then came from behind with a shot to the back of Axl, killing any chance he had to tag out. After a big vertical suplex, Vlad made the exchange to Saint James who had gotten to his corner. The Saint drilled Axl with a stiff clothesline before whipping him to the ropes, lifting him up and dropping him throat first over the top ring rope. As Traci screamed at Flair to get up, he finally got to his corner. The Saint made the cover but Axl was up at 2. Monica got up on the apron, looking to run a distraction on Enos so The Saint and Vlad could double team Axl but Flair had seen enough and came into the ring, fighting both men. Enos turned to see Flair in the ring and grabbed him, forcefully pulling him back to the corner. Meanwhile, Monica tried to get involved but Traci ran over and pulled her down by her feet and slid her under the bottom rope, setting off a catfight that the crowd was very much into. The Saint hit the ropes but Flair lowbridged him and he went sprawling to the floor. Vlad had just caught Axl with a neckbreaker but he went to try and get Traci off of Monica but Axl came from behind and delivered the "Axl Cutter", rolling Vlad over and hooking the leg for the 1.....2........3. Cole: "Well I sincerely hope that Bahamut hasn't aligned himself with those guys because we know what kinds of problems Christian has had with them but one can never tell anymore. This title became vacated when Heidenreich was drafted over to PrimeTime and what an oppurtunity for these two men tonight, a definite contrast in styles, wouldn't you say Jesse"? Ventura: "Well you've got the near seven foot, rugged, brawling style of Bahamut against the quick, always thinking on his feet Christian and both men know what it's like to hold championship gold, should be a great match". Vacant TWF Intercontinental Title Match Bahamut vs. Christian As the bell sounded, Bahamut offered a handshake but already leery of the situation, Christian declined to shake it. The two men then locked up and Bahamut easily overpowered Christian, shoving him into the corner where he went to work on him with kicks to the body. Christian did his best to cover up, but the boots found their mark. Bahamut then pulled him out of the corner and blasted him with a short arm clothesline. He went into a cover but Christian kicked out at 2. Bahamut then pulled Christian up and just tossed him over the top rope and to the floor. Seemingly toying with Christian, Bahamut slowly came outside the ring and picked him up, driving the small of his back into the ring apron. Referee Mike Chioda reached a 6 count before Bah slid back into the ring and now, some of the fans were actually booing him. Trying to collect himself, Christian used the ring ropes to pull himself up onto the apron. Bahamut came to try and pull him in but Christian went through the top and middle ring rope with a shoulder to the gut, his first offensive move of the contest. He then used a sunset flip and was somehow able to pull Bahamut down into a cover to get the 1......2........, but that was it. Both men got to their feet but Bahamut met him with a clothesline. After a big elbow drop, Bahamut went for another cover but Christian was up at 2. Again, Bahamut had the match the way he wanted it, slow and plodding as he picked Christian apart. After a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker, Bahamut said it was over and he went for his amazing lionsault he calls "What Legends are made of" but Christian rolled out of the way, getting new life. Christian rocked Bahamut with 2 right hands before hitting the ropes and catching him with a nice dropkick that knocked him down. It looked like Christian could see the light at the end of the tunnel as he gazed into the cheering crowd before going to the top rope. He flew off with an elbow drop that was right on target. Christian made a lateral press cover but could only get a 2 and a half count. Seeing his oppurtunity, Christian tried to set Bah up for the "Un-Prettier" but Bahamut pushed him to the ropes before he could lock his arms and then caught him, driving him into the mat with a powerslam. As the momentum shifted back to Bahamut, Orlando Jordan and Chaos Wolf came out. Chaos Wolf got on the apron, getting the attention of Chioda as Jordan went over and took the chair the timekeeper was sitting in after demanding he get out of it. OJ then tossed the chair to Bahamut who caught it with two hands before looking it over. A collective "No" came from the crowd and just then, Bahamut turned and smashed the chair over the head of Chaos Wolf! Jordan got up on the apron in shock and Bah turned and cracked him with the chair as well. But Christian had gone to the top rope and he flew off with a missile dropkick, kicking the chair right into the face of Bahamut as he turned around with it. Christian then went over and covered Bah, hooking the leg as Chioda made the 3 count! Match Time: 15:41 Cole: "Christian is the new Intercontinental champion! But it hasn't come without controversy"! Ventura: "I can't believe Bahamut just did that! Did he make the wrong choice or what"?! AS "JUST CLOSE YOUR EYES" PLAYED AGAIN, CHRISTIAN PUT THE BELT OVER HIS SHOULDER AND HELPED BAHAMUT TO HIS FEET, RAISING HIS ARM AS WELL AND THE CROWD LOUDLY APPLAUDED. Cole: "Well the thing is, Bahamut had this thing won! He didn't need the help of JBL's goons and all they've done is cost him the title"! CHAOS WOLF AND JORDAN WERE FINALLY ABLE TO GET TO THEIR FEET AND THEY LOOKED UP THE RAMP AT A UNITED CHRISTIAN AND BAHAMUT, WHO JUST STARED BACK. Ventura: "Oh I can't wait for this one, Masterlock versus Tazmission is next". A GRAPHIC FOR A POLL IS SHOWN ON THE SCREEN SHOWING THE MASTERLOCK AT 44% AND THE TAZMISSION AT 56%. WHEN TAZ TOLD MASTERS THAT THE POSEDOWN WAS STUPID, MASTERS KICKED HIM IN THE GROIN AND LOCKED HIM IN THE MASTERLOCK, GETTING IT ON HIM FOR THE FIRST TIME. THE CLIP ENDED WITH MASTERS STARING DOWN AT A FALLEN TAZ WITH A HUGE, CONFIDENT GRIN ON HIS FACE. WITH THE ACTION BACK LIVE, THE MUSIC OF CHRIS MASTERS HITS AND HE IS SHOWN KNEELING ON THE ENTRANCE RAMP WITH A SILVER CAPE ON HIS BACK. HE POPS UP TO A LARGE AMOUNT OF BOOS AND POPS THE CAPE OFF HIS SHOULDERS BEFORE GOING INTO A SET OF POSES, LOOKING LIKE SOMETHING OFF THE MR. OLYMPIA COMPETITION. Ventura: "Well on looks alone, Masters would have Taz defeated easily but the way this match is drawn up, the only way to win is with your signature hold. It will either be the Masterlock or the Tazmission, Cole"! "BEFORE I FORGET" BY SLIPKNOT STARTS UP AND TAZ COMES OUT, RECEIVING A VERY POSITIVE CHEER. Cole: "Well let me tell you something about this man Jesse. He could care less how good he looks, he is from the streets of New York and he has had to fight for everything he's ever gotten! I have been associated with this company for a long time and their have been a lot of rival companies that have come and gone and although I never admitted this to anyone else, I'll do it now! The one man I always wanted to see as part of the TWF was Taz"! Ventura: "Well you got your wish and here is his chance! But let me tell you something about Chris Masters! He's young, something like twenty three years old! He's hungry and he'd like nothing more than to kick Taz back to the curb he came from! It's just like Masters said when Taz first showed his face around here, this isn't the GSE pal, you're actually gonna have to earn your keep around here"! Masterlock vs. Tazmission "The Masterpiece" Chris Masters vs. Taz What a tremendous match, a surefire match of the month candidate! The fans were very into this one, constantly cheering Taz and booing Masters, nearly move for move. Masters wanted to keep it simple, use his power to overmatch Taz. But Taz was able to get the match on the mat, making Masters wrestle and Masters was surprisingly up to the task, showing he knew a hold besides the vaunted Masterlock. He had Taz in somewhat of a surfboard stretch. Taz was able to wiggle one of his arms free and get to his feet before pulling Masters in for a cradle suplex. But Masters punched his way free and then used a knee to the midsection of Taz. Taz fired back with 2 european uppercuts before using a clever go behind but Masters felt the "Tazmission" coming and slid out of the way. Taz followed him with a shot to the back before trying for a german suplex but Masters actually stomped on his left foot to prevent it before nailing him with a clothesline. It was then time for the power display as Masters lifted the street thug above his head in a military press before slamming him to the mat. Off an irish whip to the corner, Masters charged in but posted his shoulder when Taz moved. Taz then got the Tazmission on but Masters was able to fall forward, taking Taz head first into the top turnbuckle. That led to a backdrop suplex and a backbreaker across the ribs. Masters posed and yelled "Who's the man"?, drawing a slew of boos. Masters pulled Taz up and whipped him to the ropes, looking for his bonecrushing version of the Polish Hammer but Taz ducked and came off the other side of the ropes with a flying clothesline. He then got down on Masters and pounded him with rights and lefts. Referee Mike Enos, a former wrestler, was actually forced to pull Taz off. Taz tried to come back but Masters ot a finger in his eyes before getting up and kicking him in the groin. Enos wanted to call for the bell but thought better of it due to the stipulation of the match. Masters then whipped him to the ropes but Taz ducked a monster clothesline and grabbed Masters from behind, throwing him over his head with a release german suplex. Masters actually flipped in the air and landed on his head and neck. He tried to get up quickly but it was clear he was out and Taz immediately followed up, locking in the Tazmission and taking the hold to the mat, complete with a bodyscissor. Enos moved in and checked the arms of Masters and when his right arm dropped for a third time, he called for the bell, sending the crowd into a frenzy. Match Time: 14:42 Cole: "That's it.... Masters is out"! Ventura: "I am absolutely stunned here Cole, I don't even know what to say to this". ENOS RAISED THE ARM OF TAZ AND HOWARD FINKEL ANNOUNCED HIM AS THE WINNER AS "BEFORE I FORGET" BEGAN TO PLAY AGAIN AND HE LEFT TO A WILD CHEER. JUST THEN, SEVERAL OFFICIALS, INCLUDING SHANE McMAHON, GO RUNNING BY AS THE CAMERA FOLLOWS. A FIGHT HAS ERUPTED BACKSTAGE BETWEEN JORDAN ROCKWELL AND JBL. ROCKWELL IS IN HIS WRESTLING GEAR BUT JBL IS STILL WEARING HIS SUIT AND COWBOY HAT. Shane McMahon: "Whoa, whoa, whoa, break it up! OFFICIALS ARE ABLE TO PULL THE TWO MEN APART BUT THEY STILL WANT TO GO. Ya know what, get a referee over here! You guys want to fight so bad, then don't even worry about going to the ring because your match is now a falls count anywhere match and it starts right now! Let 'em go"! ROCKWELL AND JBL ARE SET LOOSE AND THE FIGHT IS ON. Falls Count Anywhere JBL vs. Jordan Rockwell Punches were being thrown from all angles from both men until Rockwell was able to get a kick in followed by a clothesline. He then took JBL's hat and spit in it before wiping it in his face. Rockwell then pulled JBL by his tie, dragging him across the floor until the tie actually snapped. From there, Rockwell got a running start and just kicked JBL in the ribs. JBL was breathing hard and was in a lot of pain when suddenly, and to the shock of everyone, a beer bottle was smashed over the head of Rockwell. None other than Joe Corey stepped into the shot! JBL then got up and grabbed the video camera that was being used to shoot the match, right out of the hands of the camera man and when Rockwell got up, he hit him with the camera as pieces of it went flying everywhere. JBL fell into a cover and referee Mickey Henson dropped down, slapping the concrete 3 times as JBL's music hit inside the arena. Another camera got a shot of a surprised JBL, one that showed he didn't even expect Corey to be there. The shot then switched back to the camera that was used to hit Rockwell as a laugh could be heard and the boots of Corey walked by the head of a bloody Rockwell, stepping right on the broken beer bottle glass. The other camera view showed that Paul Heyman was with Corey and he was the one laughing. The shot then returned to the broadcast table. Match Time: 3:05 Cole: "I...... I don't know what to say". Ventura: "That explains why Paul Heyman paid a visit to Rockwell on PrimeTime". Cole: "But why in the hell is Joe Corey, a Rampage superstar, at a PrimeTime pay-per-view, attacking one of our guys?! There is something here that doesn't add up"! Ventura: "Well that camera angle showed Corey and Heyman leave the arena together so I wouldn't expect an explanation tonight". Cole: "There is just a stunned silence in the arena now, I just don't know what to say". BACKSTAGE....... MARIA IS SHOWN STANDING WITH BATISTA, WHO HAS THE UNIVERSAL TITLE AROUND HIS WAIST. Maria: "Batista, we've heard from Edge, we've heard from Rene Dupree and I even heard it from Dawn Marie. But I know all these people want to know what you have to say about your Universal title match tonight, which is next". Batista: "Well first off, if I want to leave here with this thing, I have to win two matches and that's fine, because that's the way I wanted it. Tonight, after I beat Rene Dupree and then go on to beat Edge, I'll prove to the world that I am the animal, that I am the predator and that I am the top dog in this business and if two guys can't shut me up..... who can"? Cole: "Well fans the next time we will be on pay-per-view it will be a Rampage event and this one is gonna be cool partner because it will be a TWF first". Ventura: "You the fans will have the power in this one as every single match will be decided by the results of polls that you will be able to vote for"! Cole: "It's a heck of a concept but up next, it's our feature match and there are a lot of people who don't agree with the concept that Batista has come up with tonight"! Ventura: "Well you've heard of biting off more than you can chew. This guy says he can beat two of PrimeTime's top superstars one by one and I say, I'll believe that when I see it". RENE DUPREE's MUSIC HITS AND DAWN MARIE LEADS HIM OUT AND HE COMES OUT PROUDLY WAVING A FRENCH FLAG. Cole: "And here we go, Rene Dupree, who won a coin flip, has won the right to go first"! Ventura: "But still I think Edge is in a better position because if Dupree wins, he has said he will give him the next title shot and if he loses, he will soften up Batista in the process". IN THE RING, DUPREE IS TELLING THE FANS TO QUIET DOWN. Cole: "Here comes the champion! This guy firmly believes he is the best champion the TWF has ever seen! He gets better each and every time he's in that ring and you made the point earlier partner about superstar's trying to prove a point or make a statement, well, this is Batista's statement match"! Ventura: "I can understand what Batista is trying to do, but these aren't a couple of minor leaguers he's getting into the ring with tonight! Edge and Rene Dupree are both world class superstars and I just don't think Batista, or any other man alive can beat them in back to back matches"! TWF Universal Title Match Challenger: Rene Dupree w/ Dawn Marie vs. Batista Although he's never beaten him, Rene Dupree has always been a tough draw for Batista. Tonight was no different. The bell sounded and they locked up to start the match. Easily, Batista shifted Dupree into the corner and referee Mike Chioda moved in for a break. But instead of breaking, Dupree reached across with a paintbrush slap across the face. A rage could be seen in Batista's eyes as he reached back but Dupree ducked his head between the ropes with a smile on his face, accomplishing what he wanted to. Dupree then stomped right on the right kneecap of Batista before hitting the ropes but Batista smashed him with a clothesline. From there, he lifted him up for a press slam, dropping him face first on the mat like the Ultimate Warrior used to do. Dupree rolled out of the ring to consult with Dawn Marie and took an extended time getting back in. Finally, Batista was fed up and he came to the ropes, trying to pull Dupree back in the ring but the Frenchman pulled him down over the top rope with a hangman before getting back in the ring and firing away with right hands. He then grabbed the champ from behind by the neck and throat and pulled him down backwards, right onto his knees. Dupree made the cover and got a 2 count before Batista got his left shoulder off the mat. But the back became the target of Dupree as he rolled him over and drove his knee into the same spot twice. From there, Dupree locked in a variation of the camel clutch and Dawn Marie was glowing, feeling the title coming Dupree's way. But Batista, although in the center of the ring, would not give up. He couldn't reached the ropes so with all he had, he stood up with Dupree on his back, falling to the mat with a version of the electric chair. The crowd was very impressed by both Batista's strength and his determination. From there, he ran through Dupree with back to back clotheslines before pulling him up and whipping him to the ropes. But he dropped his head too early and Dupree stuck him with a DDT. The crowd loudly booed as he went into his French Tickler dance. Dupree then hit the ropes but Batista popped up like he was never down at all and he caught Dupree with his nasty spinebuster, covering Dupree to get the 1......2........3. He charged in and drilled Batista with the spear but all it did was knock him into the corner. Edge then got on the middle turnbuckle and wailed away with swinging right hands to the head. Batista was finally able to stop it by lifting him up and delivering an inverted atomic drop. He then hit the ropes, looking for a clothesline but Edge ducked and countered into the Edge-O-Matic which got him a 2 and a half count. After a sliding dropkick to the ribs, Edge waited for Batista to get up and he kicked him in the gut before coming off the middle turnbuckle with of all things, a blockbuster neckbreaker. He made the cover and got the 1..........2........., but that was it. Batista was slow to get up so Edge went to the top rope and came off with a flying lariat, knocking the champion to the mat. Edge crawled over and topped Batista but again, Chioda only came up with a 2 count. Edge positioned himself in the corner, waiting for Batista to get up and when he did, he went for the spear again. But this time, Batista sidestepped him and gave him an extra push into the corner before slamming into him with a clothesline to the back of the head. Batista picked Edge up and shot him to the ropes, catching him with the spinebuster, the same one he defeated Dupree with. He made the cover and Chioda got 2 and 7/8 but Edge got his right shoulder off the mat just in time. Batista pulled Edge up and shot him to the ropes. But Edge ducked a clothesline as he came off, only to run right into a tilt-a-whirl slam as he came off the other side. Batista then popped up, a rush of adrenaline shooting through him. The crowd loudly popped as he gave his thumbs down signal and he pulled Edge in, lifted him up and drove him into the mat with authority to complete the "Batista Bomb" and Chioda made the 1........2.............3! Match Time: 5:36 Cole: "He did it! Batista has done the impossible here at Payback"! Ventura: "Wow..... I'm speechless". CHIODA HANDED BATISTA THE UNIVERSAL TITLE BELT AND HE RAISED IT UP IN HIS RIGHT HAND AS "I STAND ALONE" BLARED AGAIN AND THE CROWD WENT CRAZY. Cole: "What an accomplishment!
