THE SHOT OPENS OUTSIDE AMERICA WEST ARENA WHERE FANS ARE SHOWN WAITING TO GET INSIDE AND SCREAMING IN THE PRESENCE OF THE CAMERAS. IDALIS IS ON A STAGE CONTAINING THE PRIMTIME LOGO, WEARING DAISY DUKES AND A BLACK BIKINI TOP. Idalis: "Hello TWF fans and welcome to the Payback pre-show! Are you guys ready for Payback! SHE HOLDS HER MICROPHONE OUT AND THE ENTIRE CROWD CHEERS. They're all psyched and I know everyone watching at home on pay-per-view is too. It's easily around the one hundred degree mark here in Phoenix but believe it or not, it's gonna be even hotter inside the arena tonight. Eight huge matches are on the card tonight including a huge tag team war which will decide a number one contender! But one of the more talked about matches scheduled for tonight involves teacher versus student..... take a look". VIDEO PACKAGE: MIKE CIRIANNI VS. RIC FLAIR THE PACKAGE STARTS WITH MIKE CIRIANNI SHOWING UP AND CALLING HIMSELF "STONE COLD" STEVE AUSTIN's NEPHEW. DESPITE DISAGREEING WITH CIRIANNI's DESIRE TO INVITE AUSTIN TO PRIMETIME, FLAIR SIDES WITH HIM AND BACKS HIM UP. AS UPRISING RETURNS, THE LAUGH OF TED DIBIASE ECHOES THROUGH THE FILLING ARENA AND HE COMES OUT WITH ROB CONWAY. Michael Cole: "Glad you could all be a part of Uprising tonight because we are on the pay-per-view channel now so if you're still watching, that means you ordered it and we thank you for that". Jesse Ventura: "I'm thrilled to be hear Michael but did the TWF have to pick the hottest damn place in June to put us for this"! Cole: "It's been a scorcher, I'll give ya that. But some of these fans have been waiting to get into this place for almost three hours..... think of them"! "TNT" BY AC/DC HITS AND VLAD THE IMPALER COMES OUT TO A PRETTY GOOD REACTION. Ventura: "I just can't stop looking at that cell above us Michael, wondering what Rockwell and Nails are gonna do to each other in there later"! Cole: "It will not be pretty, I think everyone knows that. But right now, we've got Rob Conway trying to earn another big payday by defeating Vlad the Impaler". Ventura: "And Vlad is a tough competitor so a win would move Conway that much higher into contention, which is what Dibiase wants. So I think it would be worth good money, a win that is". "The Money Man" Rob Conway w/ Ted Dibiase vs. Vlad the Impaler Dibiase shouted instructions from outside the ring and Conway followed, taking Vlad apart with precision. After a backbody drop, Conway went to the outside and climbed to the top rope but Vlad got up and charged him, knocking his feet out from under him. He then locked Conway's arms and actually brought him off the top rope with the old New Jersey Turnpike. But not finished there, he picked Conway up and delivered the "Lights Out" to get the win. Match Time: 6:14 Cole: "Vlad has picked up a big win here and Jesse, he calls that move Lights Out which is appropriate for this event"! Ventura: "It sure is because later tonight, we have a Lights Out match between Jason Oliver and Vlad's buddy Chaos Wolf"! Cole: "It will be lights out for one of them in that no disqualification, falls count anywhere war but in the main event, Jesse and I touched on it earlier, it's Hell in a Cell"! THAT IS FOLLOWED BY THE SIGHT OF NAILS AND CLIPS OF MANY OF HIS BARBARIC MATCHES OVER A LONG WRESTLING CAREER. INSIDE THE ARENA, THE SPOTLIGHT FOCUSES ON CHRISTINA MILIAN, THE GORGEOUS WOMAN WHO SINGS "DIP IT LOW", READY TO PERFORM THE NATIONAL ANTHEM. Michael Cole: "we welcome you all to TWF Payback! More than seventeen thousand people in this place tonight Jesse and look who we've got in the ring right now"! Jesse Ventura: "I am just........ THE ARABIC CHANT OF MUHAMMAD HASSAN's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT WITH RENE DUPREE WHO IS WAVING THE FRENCH FLAG. JUST A FEW FEET BEHIND ARE DAWN MARIE AND TIGER ALI SINGH. CHRISTINA MILIAN LOOKS SURPRISED AND A LITTLE INTIMIDATED. I'll be damned"! Cole: "What the hell are they doing out here?! It's not time for their match yet"! JUST THEN, "OVER MY HEAD" BY LIT COMES ON AND THE CROWD COEMS TO THEIR FEET AS DYLAN JANSENS AND ROME COME OUT IN A HURRY. Cole: "Here we go! Now things are a little more even"! CHRISTINA MILIAN, DAWN MARIE AND TIGER ALI SINGH ALL GET OUT OF THE RING WHEN JANSENS AND ROME COME IN AND THE 4 MEN START EXCHANGING BLOWS. Ventura: "The fight is underway Cole..... look out"! Cole: "It's broken down early but at least someone shut that jerk Hassan up"! Dylan Jansens and Rome vs. Muhammad Hassan and Rene Dupree w/ Tiger Ali Singh and Dawn Marie Rome and Jansens had the upper hand in a big way. Rome stomped Hassan into a corner while Jansens did the same to Dupree on the opposite side. But referee Brian Hebner chose to get Jansens out of the ring and before leaving, Dupree caught Rome with a shot to the back of the head. That gave Hassan an opening to get his team back into the match. After a side russian leg sweep, he put the boots to the chest and face of Rome. Hassan then tagged Dupree in and he used the middle ring rope to choke Rome, slowing the big powerful man down. After a stiff european uppercut, Dupree tagged out again and Hassan kept the pressure on Rome, delivering a swinging neckbreaker to get a 2 count. Rome tried to shake it off but Hassan hit the ropes and booted him right in the side of the head. Dupree came into the ring and did the French Tickler dance before locking in a Cobra Clutch. Rome was in a lot of trouble and fading fast but he just backpeddled Dupree into a corner to create seperation. The crowd cheered for Rome to get to his corner and he was doing all he could to get their. But Hassan tagged in and went and knocked DJ off the apron with a cheap shot before drilling Rome with a clothesline. After an elbow drop, he made another cover but Rome was out at 2. With Dupree's help, Hassan got Rome up and they delivered a double powerbomb. Hassan fell onto Rome to get 1..........2......., but that was it. Frustrated, Hassan pulled Rome up, holding his arms behind him. Dawn Marie got on the apron and went for a slap but Rome moved and she struck Hassan. Rome then blasted Hassan with a clothesline. Both men crawled to their corners and made tags. Jansens was fired up, having not been in the match for several minutes. He caught both Hassan and Dupree with right hands. After a cradle driver on Dupree, he hooked the leg and got a near fall. But Jansens got a little greedy, hitting the ropes but running right into a spinebuster from Dupree. However, Dupree became distracted by an argument between Dawn Marie and Tiger Ali Singh. Rome got off the apron and took Tiger out with a clothesline. Dawn jumped on his shoulders, wrapping an arm around his throat. But Christina Milian got up from her seat next to the timekeeper and pulled Dawn off, dropping her with a slap. In the ring, Dupree had totally lost his focus and Jansens got him up in the "Dragon's Bane". Hebner was right there to see Dupree give in, calling for the bell. Match Time: 6:34 Cole: "They've done it! Dylan Jansens and Rome have won one for America! You gotta love that partner"! Ventura: "Oh you know I do, that was great seeing Dupree tap out and Hassan get his ass kicked"! AS HASSAN, DUPREE, DAWN MARIE AND TIGER ALI SINGH RETREATED, ALL FEELING THE EFFECTS OF THE MATCH, ROME LIFTED CHRISTINA MILIAN ONTO HIS SHOULDERS WHILE "USA....USA....USA" RANG THROUGH THE CROWD BEFORE A 4TH OF JULY-LIKE FIREWORKS DISPLAY WAS SEEN. Cole: "This is great! In less than a week, we will celebrate our independence and Rome and Dylan Jansens, two men born in other countries, have shown what America is all about"! HE PULLS OUT ONE OF ROB VAN DAM's CUSTOM AIRBRUSHED DRAGON SINGLETS. O'HAIRE SEEMS VERY PLEASED. O'Haire: "Good job". Man: "So this is gonna help me get into wrestling right, like you said"? O'Haire: "I'll teach you everything I know..... you just gotta trust me. Now find a trash can for that stuff, good work. THE MAN WALKS AWAY, LOOKING LIKE HE MAY'VE MADE A MISTAKE. O'Haire (to himself): "Just trust me kid". O'HAIRE THEN LAUGHS AS THE SHOT IS SENT BACK TO THE RING. Cole: "Well I don't know what the hell Sean O'Haire is up to, but that guy just stole RVD's stuff and he has a match with O'Haire later for the Intercontinental title"! "DO YOU CALL MY NAME" BY RA HITS AND AXL IRVIN COMES OUT HAND IN HAND WITH TRACI. Ventura: "Let's just hope RVD brought backups". Cole: "That is a low move by a low person. Yeah, just trust him kid, he's such a stand up guy"! "LIME A PIMP" BY DA BAND HITS AND TAYLOR MADE COMES OUT IN ONE OF HIS CUSTOM OUTFITS, A GREY SUIT AND TIE AND A RED TOP HAT. HE STOPS ABOUT HALFWAY DOWN THE RAMP AND LOOKS BACK AS SABLE COMES OUT, WAVING TO THE CROWD. Ventura: "There's Taylor Made and here comes Sable"! Cole: "Taylor has found himself another catch here in Sable who sure introduced herself to Traci last week on PrimeTime"! Ventura: "Well I will admit, Sable looks great but I'm not fond of the Al Capone look being sported here by Taylor". Cole: "This all started Jesse because Taylor Made got a little too close to Traci and a jealous, yes I said it, jealous Axl Irvin became threatened and attacked him"! Ventura: "Honestly Cole, if you had Traci, would you want a known womanizer like Taylor messing with her? Nevermind, don't answer that, you could never get a woman like Traci". Axl Irvin w/ Traci Brooks vs. Taylor Made w/ Sable This turned into one of the better matches of the night as two of PrimeTime's young lions had it out as Traci and Sable watched, cheering their men on. Taylor came at Axl with his unorthodox attack, catching him with a sharp superkick that almost ended the match. After stepping over Axl's right arm, Taylor mule kicked him in the face before going to the middle rope and hitting a flying legdrop for another near fall. Taylor pulled him up and sent him to the corner but Axl moved and hit a release german suplex, dropping Taylor on the back of his head. Axl then went into a dragon sleeper, a very smart move. Taylor fought the holdand was able to stand up in it. He tried to flip over Axl's shoulder but Axl just turned it into a Stunner and he covered Taylor for a very close fall. Taylor was rattled and taken off his game though and Axl shot him to the corner with authority, trying to soften up the lower back. After consecutive pendulum backbreakers, Axl sent him into the corner again and Taylor hit it so hard it looked like that ring moved. Finally, Axl tried to put him away with the "Axl Cutter" but Taylor wiggled his way free and turned it into the "Customizer". He had the match won but at the last second, Traci put Axl's right foot on the bottom rope and referee Mike Enos saw it there, stopping the 3 count just in time. Someone else who saw this was Sable and she came over, shoving Traci to the floor. After catching Taylor with a stiff forearm to the face, Axl kicked him right in the head after bouncing off the ropes. He then reached over the top rope and grabbed Sable by the hair, pulling her up on the apron. Enos did everything he could to get Axl off, finally seperating the two. But as Enos struggled with Irvin, Traci snuck up on the apron herself and pulled Taylor down over the top rope with a hangman. Axl then kicked him in the abdomen and hit the "Axl Cutter", rolling him over to get the 3 count. Match Time: 10:30 Cole: "Referee.... didn't he see that?! Traci Brooks just cost Taylor the match"! Ventura: "Hey, at least Taylor got to touch her"! AS AXL LEFT WITH TRACI IN CELEBRATION, SABLE LOOKED ON WITH LOOKS THAT WOULD KILL IF THEY COULD AS ENOS CHECKED ON TAYLOR WHO WAS STILL FEELING THE EFFECTS OF THE AXL CUTTER. Cole: "Oh come on, that's ridiculous! If not for Traci, Axl Irvin loses this match, period"! Ventura: "You tell a very compelling story Michael, too bad the record book won't say that"! BACKSTAGE....... CAMERAS IN THE BACK SHOW IDALIS WITH CHRISTIAN. Idalis: "Hey Christian, tonight, you have a chance to become...... Christian: "The number one contender. I sure do Idalis and it's about time someone around here started realizing my ability. Because tonight, I'm gonna go out there and whether it's Batista or Randy Orton I have to put down with the Un-Prettier, hell even Shane Thompson, it doesn't matter, because I will leave America West arena as the number one contender". JUST THEN, EDGE COMES UP. Edge: "What's up Christian, I was just looking for ya". Christian: "Yeah, I was just telling what's her name here about you retaining your number one contender's spot tonight.... against all odds". Edge: "Did you hear that Idalis? I'm gonna retain that spot...... with the help of Christian! There's nothing that can stop it and when I do...... Shane Thompson, you shine that belt up and look at it one last time because if I get one more shot at you.... I promise it will be mine"! EDGE BLOWS PAST IDALIS AND CHRISTIAN FOLLOWS. BUT HE TURNS AROUND AND SMILES AT IDALIS. LA FAMILIA's MEXICAN THEME PLAYS AND THEY COME OUT AS A GROUP. Cole: "If you ask me Jesse, Edge has a problem he didn't plan for in his own tag team partner"! Ventura: "Well with all due respect to Edge, how can he expect Christian to help him win, rather than try to win himself? If youre goal isn't to be the champion, the top dog in this business, than you shouldn't be here". LA FAMILIA IS LOUDLY BOOED BY THE PHOENIX CROWD BUT THOSE BOOS QUICKLY TURN TO CHEERS WHEN PAUL LONDON's MUSIC HITS AND HE RUNS OUT WITH THE LIGHTHEAVYWEIGHT TITLE AROUND HIS WAIST. Cole: "We've got our first title match of the night here at Payback but I don't like what I see already. Super Crazy is out here with the rest of La Familia! These guys have no business out here"! Ventura: "They're a group Michael and they work together for the common goal. London knew that when he decided to attack Chavo a couple weeks ago"! Cole: "I just don't understand why the referee isn't sending them out of here. They don't have manager's licenses"! Ventura: "The only person London has to be worried about is Super Crazy, it's one on one here". Cole: "Yeah, we'll see how long that lasts"! TWF Lightheavyweight Title Match Challenger: Super Crazy w/ La Familia vs. Paul London Referee Charles Robinson asked for the bell to start the match and the two men circled each other. What followed was possibly the best match of 2005 to this point. Crazy and London engaged in a superb exchange of manuevers, action that fans of the pure lightheavyweight style could really appreciate. London went for a flying headscissor but Crazy twisted him around into a tilt-a-whirl slam and covered him. London was up at 2, just one of 18 total two counts this match had. Super Crazy bounced off the ropes and delivered a quick legdrop before pulling London up and going for an irish whip. But London reversed it, sending him into the corner and then he used a bicycle to run off Crazy but Crazy dropkicked him when he landed. He followed that with a standing moonsault but London got a shoulder off the mat. After sending London for the ride, Crazy dropped his head too soon and London flipped off his back before hitting a sharp superkick. He fell into the cover and London made the 1........2......., but Crazy was up. London decided to go to the top rope and he flew off with a cross body block but Crazy met him in mid air with a dropkick to the chest. London seemed to have the wind knocked out of him and Crazy looked to capitalize, lifting London to his shoulders. He was looking for the fireman's carry roll, a move Fit Finlay made famous but London countered into a spinning ddt. London then positioned him in the corner and came off the top rope with a shooting star press. But Crazy got his knees up and London was in some serious pain. Crazy then picked him up and delivered the "Loco Buster" but he was too close to the ropes and London instinctively put his left leg under the bottom rope, draping it over the apron and Robinson stopped the count at 2. Crazy got in Robinson's face, protesting the call. That's when Chavo Guerrero came around and kicked London in the left kneecap. London grabbed at the knee in pain as Crazy pulled him into the ring. But he got careless and London used a small package to nearly steal the match. Crazy hit a hard clothesline before lifting London up and dropping him on his head with a delay brainbuster. London was out and Crazy should have gone for the cover. But instead he went for his triple moonsault. He connected with one off the first turnbuckle and then he hit one off the middle. But when he came off the top, he hung in the air for some time and came down on the knees of London. London pulled himself up using the ring ropes before knocking Crazy back down with a wheel kick. Psychosis got on the apron but London used a baseball slide to knock his feet out and put him on the floor. Essa Rios then got on the apron but caught a stiff superkick from London. London looked into the cheering crowd before going to the top rope. But just before he flew off, Robinson waved it off and the bell sounded. Cole: "What happened? Referee Charles Robinson has called for the bell, but why"? Howard Finkel: "Ladies and gentlemen, this match has been ruled a time limit draw"! THE ANNOUNCEMENT DRAWS BOOS FROM THE CROWD. Lights Out Match Chaos Wolf vs. Jason Tiger Oliver The bell sounded and Chaos Wolf came at Oliver like a boxer, throwing haymakers but didn't connect with any of them. Oliver kicked him low and then threw him through the ring ropes, to the floor. Oliver followed him out and whipped him into the steel ring steps. Oliver then dislodged the steps and lifted the top part over his head. But Wolf used a drop toehold and Oliver went face first into the steps. Wolf reached under the ring and pulled out a kendo stick and smacked Oliver across the back twice. Wolf then picked him up and walked him past the rabid fans near the aisle, throwing him through the curtain into the backstage area. As cameras followed the action, Oliver pushed a cart into Wolf and forced him to drop the kendo stick. Oliver picked up the weapon and went to hit Wolf with it but Wolf ducked and the stick broke against the wall. Wolf then grabbed Oliver and drove him into the wall. A box full of flourescent lightbulbs poured out onto the floor and Wolf lifted Oliver up, dumping him onto the bulbs. The glass exploded around Oliver and a few pieces were actually stuck in his back. Wolf pulled Oliver up and then put him right back down with a DDT on the concrete floor. Oliver's head hit with a thud and he was out. Wolf rolled him over and referee Brian Hebner slapped the concrete 3 times to render the victory to Chaos Wolf. Match Time: 3:03 Cole: "That's it! "ONE OF A KIND" BY BREAKING POINT HITS AND ROB VAN DAM COMES POINTING AT O'HAIRE WITH A LOOK OF ANGER ON HIS FACE. HE IS WEARING A PAIR OF JEAN SHORTS AND A WHITE WIFEBEATER. HE HAS ON A PAIR OF NIKES INSTEAD OF WRESTLING BOOTS. Cole: "Well we've got our answer about whether or not RVD had back up gear! Think about what this does to RVD's mental state, especially after how hard he has trained for this match"! Ventura: "What, because his ring gear was stolen, he can't perform? You're talking to a former wrestler Michael and I could've gone into any match wearing whatever the hell I wanted"! Cole: "This is all just more mind games from O'Haire! He gets into his opponent's head and that is what he uses to defeat them! Let's just hope RVD can keep his temper bottled up, at least until after he takes the Intercontinental title"! TWF Intercontinental Title Match Challenger: Rob Van Dam vs. Sean O'Haire It was clear that Van Dam was furious, but he did a great job channeling his anger. O'Haire was backed into a corner but stuck his head through the ropes to avoid any contact. Referee Mike Chioda asked for a clean break and RVD backed out. O'Haire tried to throw a cheap shot but RVD saw it coming and blocked it, coming back with a right hand of his own. He followed that with a jump kick that grazed O'Haire's face but backed him into the corner. RVD came in with 3 shoulders to the gut before doing and backflip and catching O'Haire with a diving shoulder. After a jumping facebuster, RVD hit a spinning legdrop and made the cover to get 1..............2........, but O'Haire got his right shoulder off the mat. RVD tried to stay on him but after hitting the ropes, O'Haire lifted him into the air with a backbody drop. He then put the challenger down with a scoopslam before going to the top rope, looking for the Seanton Bomb. But RVD easily rolled out of it's path and did a cartwheel into a moonsault, getting another near fall on O'Haire. After whipping him to the corner, RVD followed in with a crossbody splash and then he did a high kick on O'Haire, sending a wad of spit flying from his mouth. RVD was in control, even in street clothes. After a spin kick to the midsection, RVD did the splits and punched O'Haire right in the throat. But after bouncing off the ropes, O'Haire caught him with a jummping roundhouse kick that knocked him clean out. Fans were a little concerned with RVD face down on the mat. O'Haire then picked him up and delivered the "Widow Maker" and covered him, hooking both legs to get the 1........2...........3. FLAIR ENTERS THE RING AND REMOVES THE ROBE HE's WEARING, STARING AT CIRIANNI ACROSS THE RING. Ventura: "Well I know that there aren't any titles on the line here Cole, but this is the match on this card that I was most looking forward to"! Cole: "Well as good as Ric Flair has been over his career, there's no doubt that he's lost a step and he'll have to defeat a man who has learned a lot of what he knows from him". Mike Cirianni vs. Ric Flair The bell rang and Flair induced Cirianni into a collar and elbow tie. He tried to back Cirianni into the corner but Cirianni swung around and pushed Flair into the corner, smashing him with a knifedge chop. Cirianni let out a taunting "Wooo" but Flair fired back with 2 knifedge chops and then a right-left hand combination. Cirianni was knocked to the mat but when Flair tried to hit the ropes, Cirianni grabbed his foot to trip him up. From there, Cirianni drove a knuckle into Flair's temple. From there, he grabbed him by the back of the head and rammed him face first into the top turnbuckle before bouncing off the ropes and smashing Flair in the back of the head with a clothesline. Cirianni had Flair, who is about twice his age, in a lot of trouble. But Cirianni showed more disrespect, imitating the Flair Strut. He pulled Flair to his feet but Flair shocked some of those watching by grabbing the testicles of Cirianni. Cirianni used a kneelift to the face to counter the hold before kicking Flair in the ribs. Off an irish whip, Cirianni took Flair over with a powerslam but broke the 3 count by pulling Flair up. Cirianni then picked Flair up in position for a powerbomb but dropped him across his knee with a shoulder breaker instead. In complete control, Cirianni went to the apron and climbed the turnbuckle. He flew off with a double axe handle but Flair sidestepped it and Cirianni landed awkwardly on his left foot. Noticing this, Flair delivered a chop block to the same leg. The crowd got back into this match big time as Flair began to work on the left leg, twisting it and driving knees and elbows into it to add more pain. But when Flair went for a shinbreaker, Cirianni countered with an eye gouge and Flair had to drop him. Cirianni then kicked him in the gut and tried to pick him up for a piledriver, but Flair countered with a backbody drop. From there, Flair grabbed the one of Cirianni's legs and locked in the Figure Four. A huge roar was let out of the crowd as Flair had it cinched in good. Cirianni tried all he could to turn it, but Flair applied as much pressure as he possibly could and finally, Cirianni tapped out. IN ANOTHER PART OF THE BACKSTAGE AREA....... JORDAN ROCKWELL ENTERS A ROOM WHERE SHANE McMAHON AND AN UNIDENTIFIED WOMAN ARE. Shane: "There you are. Jordan, this is Leticia Marshall, Rory Marshall's widow. She insisted on coming up here and meeting you tonight". THE WOMAN SHAKES ROCKWELL's HAND. AFTER ROCKWELL LEAVES THE ROOM, THE CAMERA GETS A CLOSE UP OF THE MANY PIECES THAT USED TO BE THE HOCKEY MASK. "READY TO DIE" BY HED IS HEARD AND SHANE THOMPSON COMES TO THE RING IN A REFEREE SHIRT BUT WHAT HE DOES NOT HAVE WITH HIM IS THE UNIVERSAL TITLE. Cole: "That has to be one of the most surreal moments we've ever seen here in the TWF. I can't believe what that woman must be going through". Ventura: "As of that Hell in the Cell match later needed anything added to it, it just got it". "JUST CLOSE YOUR EYES" BY WATERPROOF BLONDE HITS AND CHRISTIAN COMES OUT IN A SILVER OUTFIT, A HOOD COVERING HIS FACE. Cole: "Well what we have here is one of the most unique matches I can remember. It will be a tag team match but the man who is first to score a decision over one of his opponents will become the number one contender for the Universal title"! Ventura: "It's unique to say the least and just to add a little something to it, Shane McMahon went and made the Universal champion the special referee"! "YOU THINK YOU KNOW ME" IS HEARD AND "METALINGUS" BY ALTERBRIDGE COMES ON AND EDGE COMES OUT, FULL OF ENERGY BUT HE IS WIDELY BOOED. Ventura: "Both these teams have had their disputes though Michael. I can remember Edge and Christian facing off at Welcome to our Yard years ago and Batista and Orton fought on pay-per-view not all that long ago"! AS ORTON ENTERS THE RING, EDGE AND CHRISTIAN ARE ALL OVER HIM. Cole: "Edge and Christian aren't even gonna wait for Batista... look at this"! AFTER ABOUT 30 SECONDS, BATISTA's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT, CHARGING TO THE RING TO A VERY LOUD POP. BATISTA SLIDES INTO THE RING AND MEETS EDGE WITH A CLOTHESLINE AND PUTS CHRISTIAN DOWN WITH A PRESS SLAM. FINALLY, THOMPSON GETS ORTON AND CHRISTIAN TO THEIR CORNERS AND ASKS FOR THE BELL TO START THE MATCH, OFFICIALLY. Tag Team #1 contenders match Edge and Christian vs. Randy Orton and Batista *Special Referee: Shane Thompson Batista pounded away on Edge for the first few moments of the match before shooting him to the ropes and sending him up with a double handed press. Christian tried to come into the ring but Batista hit him with a hard forearm and then tagged in Orton. This was the last official action Batista would see in the match. Orton tried to pull Edge into the ring but Christian came from behind with a reverse ddt. Thompson ordered Christian out of the ring but Edge had the cover on Orton. Thompson turned to make the count but Orton was up easily. Edge gave Thompson a look before going back to Orton, hammering him with some overhand rights. Edge then pulled him in for the "Edge-a-cution" but Orton countered it and drilled Edge with a clothesline. With both men down, Batista was begging for the tag but Orton pulled Edge up, sending him to the ropes and drilling him with a perfect dropkick. He made the cover but Edge kicked out at two. Moments later, Edge ducked an Orton clothesline and used the Edge-o-matic to get a long 2 count. The count from Thompson was extremely consistent throughout the match. Edge made the tag and Christian went straight to the top rope, taking Orton out with a flying clothesline. But after escaping his clutches, Orton caught Christian with a big DDT. Again, he could've made the tag but instead chose to stay in the ring. By this point, Batista was very upset. Orton caught Christian with a nice powerslam but could only get a 2 count. He then went to the top rope and waited for Christian to get in position, coming off the top rope with a textbook crossbody block. But Christian rolled through it and got the 1.........2........, but Orton powered out. Some frustration began to set in for Christian before he made the tag to Edge again. But a determined Orton met Edge with a forearm shiver and then went for the "RKO". Edge was able to push Orton to the ropes and when he came back, he kicked him in the gut and hit the Edge-a-cution, driving Orton's head into the mat. Thompson positioned himself and made the count and got 1..........2......., but Orton kicked out! Edge got right in Thompson's face, debating the count. Showing his authority, Thompson shoved Edge with two hands but Edge shoved him back. Thompson pushed him again and Edge bumped into Christian, knocking him off the apron. Christian hit the floor hard as Edge shoved Thompson a second time, sending him into Batista. But Orton got up and rolled Edge up with a schoolboy and Thompson made the quickest 3 count in Edge's career. Match Time: 7:52 Cole: "He got him! Randy Orton has become the number one contender"! Ventura: "Much to the dismay of his own partner. Batista does not look happy"! THOMPSON LEFT WITHOUT LOOKING AT EDGE WHO WAS CURSING HIM OUT. ON THE FLOOR, ORTON HELD UP HIS RIGHT ARM, HOLDING HIS HEAD DUE TO THE EFFECTS OF THE MATCH. VIDEO PACKAGE: NAILS VS. JORDAN ROCKWELL THE EVENTS THAT HAVE LED UP TO THIS MATCH ARE LAID OUT IN THIS PACKAGE STARTING WITH NAILS HELPING EDGE DEFEAT ROCKWELL AT FOUL PLAY. THAT IS FOLLOWED BY ROCKWELL's VOW TO SHOW THE "TRUTH" BEHIND THE HOCKEY MASK NAILS WEARS. THE FOOTAGE THEN FLIPS BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN ROCKWELL PRESENTING THE NEWSCAST THAT CONFIRMED THIS TO THE FANS TO PICTURES OF THE VICTIM, RORY MARSHALL, BEFORE THE ATTACK. THE FOOTAGE ENDS WITH THE TWF LOGO IN THE BOTTOM CORNER OF THE SCREEN AND A HOCKEY MASK BEING SHOWN NEAR A BURNING FLAME. "HELL's GUARDIAN" BY SLIPKNOT COMES ON AND NAILS MAKES HIS WAY OUT TO SOME HEAVY BOOS WITH THE HARDCORE TITLE IN HIS RIGHT HAND. Cole: "Fans there is a sidenote to this match and that is that it is for the TWF Hardcore title you see hanging from Nails' clenched hand there, a title he didn't go out and win by the way"! Ventura: "I'm not gonna get into that with you Michael, this man always has and always will be the king of the deathmatch but what an appropriate theme song he is coming out to". Cole: "Well he will be hell's guardian literally tonight, take a look at that structure". NAILS GETS DOWN TO THE RING AND PEERS UP AT THE CELL WHICH HUNG ABOVE THE RING, THROUGH HIS HOCKEY MASK. ONCE INSIDE THE CELL, "BACK IN BLACK" BY AC/DC HITS AND JORDAN ROCKWELL COMES OUT TO THE BIGGEST CHEER OF THE NIGHT, EASILY. Ventura: "The fans are clearly behind Rockwell tonight but after he broke that story about Nails, revealing a secret he held for a long time, can you imagine how badly Nails wants to hurt this man tonight"? Cole: "Oh there is no doubt that somebody is gonna get hurt tonight but it's all about who is left standing at the end. One thing is for sure, I don't think either of these men will be the same after this match"! TWF Hardcore Title/Hell in a Cell Match Challenger: Jordan Rockwell vs. Nails As soon as the cell came down over the ring, Nails came at Rockwell and threw a right hand but Rockwell blocked it and kicked him in the abdomen before shooting him to the corner. But Nails exploded out with a clothesline before grabbing Rockwell and ramming the back of his head against the mat several times. Nails then pulled him up and made him look at him before delivering a hard headbutt. After kicking Rockwell under the bottom rope, Nails followed him out and threw him facefirst into the cell. Nails repeated the process and Rockwell was in a bad way early. But he didn't let it slow him down, the crowd began to energize him and he fought back against the demonic champion. After punching Nails in the gut, Rockwell whipped Nails into the ring steps so hard he flipped over backwards. Rockwell then picked up one half of the stairs and rammed them into the face of Nails, putting a crack in the hockey mask. With blood flowing from a cut on his forehead, Rockwell led out a yell and rammed Nails into the wall of the cell. From there, Rockwell took Nails and whipped him into the cell so hard it broke open. Rockwell reached under the ring and pulled out a table a slid it into the ring before pulling out a bag. The fans seemed to know what was in the back already and he poured it's contents, thousands of razor sharp thumb tacks all over the mat. Nails got up and came into the ring, hitting Rockwell with a shot to the ribs followed by the Nail Gun. But he didn't go for a cover, instead going under the ring and pulling out his trusty fire poker. He proceeded to throw the fire poker to the top of the cell, climbing up. Once at the top, Nails invited Rockwell to join him and Rockwell was quick to accept the challenge. The crowd was on their feet in anticipation of what they would see next and Rockwell got to the top of the cell but Nails started to stomp on his hands. Rockwell was able to trip him up by grabbing one of his feet and then climb to the roof of the cell. After a backbody drop, Rockwell picked up the fire poker and gave Nails a taste of his own medicine, smashing him over the head with the base of it. Nails fell onto the roof of the cell but Rockwell picked him up for the Rock Smasher. But instead of falling into the move, he just threw him into the roof and the force drove Nails through. He landed on the thumb tacks on the mat below and was in an extreme amount of pain. But Rockwell wasn't done. As "Holy shit" chants filled the arena, he climbed down and pulled out a bottle of lighter fluid. Rockwell set the table he had put in the ring up and sprayed it down with plenty of lighter fluid. Then, he pulled out a match, lighting the table on fire. Nails got up but Rockwell gave him a kick to the face before lifting him up and driving him through the flaming table with a powerbomb. The crowd couldn't believe what they were seeing as Rockwell made the cover to get the 1........2..........3 from referee Mike Chioda. Match Time: 11:07 Cole: "Are you serious?! Listen to this crowd, Rockwell has done it"! Ventura: "The demon has been destroyed Michael and look.... he's going for the mask now"! Cole: "All we can hope is that a huge weight was lifted off the shoulders of the Marshall family tonight"! ROCKWELL PULLED THE HEAD OF A LIMP NAILS UP AFTER BEING HANDED THE HARDCORE TITLE. HE THEN PULLED THE MASK OFF OF NAILS BUT LOOKED ABSOLUTELY STUNNED AT WHAT HE SAW. Ventura: "Who is that guy"?! Cole: "Rockwell..... Rockwell looks like he's seen a ghost"!
