MICHAEL COLE IS SHOWN SITTING AT THE BROADCAST TABLE WITH JESSE VENTURA WHO HAS A PATCH OVER HIS RIGHT EYE.
Michael Cole: "Welcome to the first ever PrimeTime only pay-per-view! Alongside a recovering Jesse "The Body" Ventura, I'm Michael Cole and folks, everyone is gonna be looking for some payback tonight"!
Jesse Ventura: "Well I may be getting up there in age Michael but that son of a bitch Aries is gonna regret ever screwing with me"!
A JAPANESE GONG SOUNDS AND KID GUNDAM's MUSIC HITS. HE IS LED DOWN THE AISLE BY JIM CORNETTE WHO HAS HIS JAPENESE FLAG COVER ON HIS TENNIS RACKET. THE CROWD LOUDLY BOOS.
Cole: "We're ready for tonight's opening bout but Jesse, is it true that you were almost permanently blinded in your right eye"?
Ventura: "That is true Cole and doctors are still unsure if I'll gain full visibility which gives me that much more reason to bust Aries' ass"!
Cole: "We're starting things out with an explosive match tonight and Jesse, Gundam claimed weeks ago that he once defeated The Ultimo Dragon at Karouken Hall in Japan".
THE ULTIMO DRAGON's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT TO AN AMAZING POP. HE WALKS ABOUT 10 STEPS DOWN THE RAMP BEFORE PUTTING HIS HANDS TOGETHER AND FIRE POURS OUT FROM THE ENTRANCE.
Ventura: "I wouldn't doubt it Cole, Gundam is a huge Japanese star"!
Cole: "Well so is this man, maybe one of the biggest ever and here's what's really gonna throw ya, we had a team of researchers check the Karouken Hall record books and they found that that match never took place"!
Ventura: "Well it's about to take place and I can tell you that Gundam isn't impressed by all the hype of the Ultimo Dragon. He's gonna embarass him in his debut tonight"!
Cole: "This is gonna be a match for the ages in my opinion folks between two of the greatest Japanese wrestlers of our era"!
Kid Gundam w/ Jim Cornette vs. The Ultimo Dragon The bell sounded and the 2 men rounded each other, looking for a spot to attack. Gundam tried to pull one of Dragon's legs out but caught a brisk kick to the head. The Dragon then stayed on him with some knifedge chops before sending him to the corner. He followed in but Gundam used the ropes to sling over him and roll him up for a quick 2 count. Gundam then put his hand in the air for a test of strength and the Dragon went for it but caught a kick t othe midsection. Gundam then bounced off the ropes but Dragon caught him with a nice wheel kick followed by a spinning legdrop. He covered him and hooked the leg but Gundam was easily out. The Dragon reverted back to his knifedge chops before stifling Gundam with some hard kicks. But as he bounced off the ropes, Gundam lifted him into the air and he landed right on his face. Gundam then locked in a nerve hold in the neck area which really slowed the Dragon down. After a scoop slam, Gundam delivered 2 Mongolian chops before using the brunt of his knee to drive it into the back of Dragon's neck. Gundam then delivered a float over suplex and got another 2 count. It was then time for Gundam's tremendous martial arts skills to come
imto play and he really affected the Dragon with kicks to all parts of the body. Gundam then went to the top rope as Cornette raised his arms,
as if to signal victory. But when he jumped off, the Dragon drilled him with a dropkick in mid air before going to the top rope himself. Cornette
grabbed one of his boots but the Dragon kicked him aside and came off with a perfect rounding splash, driving everything out of Gundam. He hooked
the leg and got 1.......2......, but shock came over the crowd when Gundam kicked out! The Dragon then went for the Dragon Sleeper and he had it locked
in tight but behind referee Jack Doan's back, Cornette pulled one of Gundam's feet and put it over the bottom rope. Gundam was about to tap out but this
tactic kept him alive. The Dragon took his focus off his opponent for one second and went towards the ropes after Cornette. But when he turned around, BOOM,
Gundam creamed him with a savot kick into an immediate cover for the 1.......2......, but no, the Dragon was still in it. Gundam was beside himself as he picked the Dragon up. He moved behind him and went for a german suplex but the Dragon blocked it. He then grabbed Gundam around the head and neck as if to go for a snap mare but instead he flipped over him right into a modified reverse DDT that brought everyone to their feet. The Dragon hooked the leg and got the 1......2......3 as Cornette slapped the apron with his tennis racket in disgust. Match Time: 8:27 Ventura: "What was that"?! Cole: "The Ultimo Dragon has just put Gundam away with a move I don't think we've ever seen here in the TWF, wow"! Ventura: "Cornette is not happy with that result and who can blame him, he thought Gundam could take this guy out"! Cole: "It's gonna take a great effort to beat the dragon when he's at the top of his game and I look for him to reach the highest star here in the TWF"! BACKSTAGE.... SABLE IS WALKING BACKSTAGE WHEN SHE IS HANDED A NOTE BY MR. WRESTLING III. SHE TAKES A MOMENT TO READ IT. Sable: "Well thank you, if I need your help for anything, I'll be sure to let you know. Just let me see who you are". SABLE TRIES TO REACH FOR HIS MASK BUT HE GENTLY GRABS HER HAND AND MOVES IT AWAY. MR. WRESTLING THEN WALKS AWAY. BACK AT RINGSIDE, CHARLIE HAAS' MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT TO A LOT OF BOOS. Cole: "Sable's really getting
a lot of attention lately, now Mr. Wrestling is offering his services to her". Ventura: "I'd probably offer my services to her too
if circumstances were different Cole but who is this Mr. Wrestling guy, we haven't seen him in weeks". Cole: "A lot of people speculated
that is was actually this man, Charlie Haas who is set for the biggest match of his young career to this point". "ONE OF A KIND" BY BREAKING
POINT HITS AND PYRO POPS OFF AS ROB VAN DAM COMES OUT TO A BIG POP. Ventura: "It is definitely that Cole. Imagine what a win on pay-per-view
over Mr. Pay-Per-View would do for a guy like Haas". Cole: "Charlie Haas can best be descibed as a thorn in RVD's side for the last couple weeks, even
costing him the Universal title in his rematch with Lesnar". Ventura: "It's time for Haas to make a name for himself and if he has to do it at RVD's expense,
then I like his approach". Cole: "You see the initials of Russ Haas, Charlie's late brother on his wrist band and you know he's looking down, trying to empowerCharlie to a big win tonight". Ventura: "The entire Haas family will rejoice if Charlie can get this win and I think the pressure is squarely on the shoulders of RVD". Charlie Haas vs. Rob Van Dam After the bell rang, Haas baited RVD into a lockup
and used a fireman's carry into a reverse chinlock. But RVD fought his way up to a vertical base, dropping 3 elbows into the bread basket. He then bounced off the ropes and flipped off of Haas' back. He then went for a spinning heel kick but Haas caught his leg and delivered a cradle suplex. Haas then pulled RVD's right leg out and dropped an elbow on the inside of it. Haas was determined to make RVD beat him another way and he worked on that right leg for a couple minutes. But after putting his head down a moment too soon off an irish whip, RVD went for a sunset flip. But Haas showed tremendous balance and sat down on him, hooking his legs back for the 1.....2....., but RVD was able to kick out before Haas drilled him with a clothesline. After a backdrop suplex, Haas tried to lock in the "Haas of Pain" but RVD countered and kicked him in the head. He then got up and put a spin kick right on his chin before landing the Rolling Thunder. He went for the cover but Haas was able to kick out again at 2. RVD was relentless and after shooting him to the corner, he hit a monkey flip followed by a cartwheel moonsault. He made the cover but Haas again kicked out. After a nice suplex, RVD went for the split-legged moonsault but Haas got his knees up and delivered a belly to belly suplex to get the 1.....2....., but couldn't keep him down for 3. Haas then whipped him to the corner and followed in but RVD slung himself over him and went for a kick. Haas took the bait and caught his foot which led to the step over heel kick. RVD, quick as a cat, then went to the top rope and came off with the "5 Star Frogsplash", crushing Haas. It took him an extra couple seconds to roll over and make the cover but when he did, referee Brian Hebner counted the 1...2.....3. Match Time: 8:33 Cole: "Oh what a match! RVD has survived against Charlie Haas but take your hat off to Haas, he took RVD to the limit"! Ventura: "Haas has nothing to be ashamed of, he just ran into an experienced superstar when it comes to big match situations"! AS "ONE OF A KIND" PLAYED, RVD POSED FOR A LOUD CROWD. Cole: "With that win, RVD has vaulted himself back to the top of the rankings here on PrimeTime"! BACKSTAGE.... DRESSING ROOM.... IDALIS IS STANDING BY WITH THE FBI. Idalis: "Okay guys, Frankie Kazarian meets his former tag team partner tonight but fans can't help but think if it wasn't for the FBI, Evolution would still exist". Guido Maritato: "How ironic, that the reason
we came here in the first place, was to get back something that was owed to us. Now tonight, Frankie K here is gonna take out that chump Nova". Johnny Stamboli: "And not for nothin', but I hate to break it to ya, Evolution was goin' nowhere fast". Frankie Kazarian: "Nova, these two are like brothers to me. They look out for me, in and out of the ring". Stamboli: "yeah, just like when you got into it with that homeless guy in the alley last night". Maritato: "You mark my words Idalis, Frankie K here is goin' to the top and tonight, we're gonna use Payback as a launching pad to the top for the Full Blooded Italians". IN ANOTHER PART OF THE ARENA CAMERAS SHOW AN ONGOING CONVERSATION BETWEEN THE 13TH APOSTLE AND CRAZY SHANE BUT CAN'T MAKE OUT WHAT THEY'RE SAYING.
THE FBI's THEME HITS AND THE ITALIAN FLAG APPEARS ON THE PRIME TRON AS GUIDO MARITATO, JOHNNY STAMBOLI AND
FRANKIE KAZARIAN COME OUT TO A TON OF HEAT. Cole: "It's only been a few weeks but Jesse, this group here in ready to take over
PrimeTime"! Ventura: "This is the perfect mixture of talent Cole. You've got the power of the Bull Stamboli along with the experience and tenacity
of Maritato and now, the hope for the future in Frankie Kazarian, a guy who can do it all". Cole: "His nickname is the future and a win over Nova here would propel him into the next echelon of superstars here on PrimeTime. NOVA's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT TO A GOOD POP. But it's not gonna come easy". Ventura: "Nova is a great athlete Cole, I'll give him that. But the odds aren't in his favor tonight". Frankie "The Future" Kazarian w/ The FBI vs. Nova Nova knew he was in for a fight with all 3 members of the FBI involved in the match but he handled it well. After some basic chain wrestling got the match going in a good flow, Nova ducked a clothesline and knocked Kazarian to the mat with a vindictive right hand. Nova covered his mouth and scooted back to the corner, listening to some pointers from Stamboli and Maritato. Kazarian got back to his feet and the 2 locked up but it was Nova who used a quick arm drag followed by a well placed dropkick. He then hit a standing backflip to get a 2 count. Nova whipped Kazarian to the ropes and went for a wheel kick but Kazarian wisely held the top rope to stop his momentum. He then went for a backslide and nearly stole the match but Nova kicked out. The pace quickened after Kazarian missed a superkick and Nova delivered a version of the Michinoku Driver. He then went
for an asai moonsault but Guido screwed up his footing and he landed hard on his back. Kazarian then came off the top rope with a gorgeous elbow drop, ala Shawn Michaels but chose not to cover him.
Kazarian hooked him up for a piledriver but Nova blocked it. He then picked him up and dropped him over the top rope with a stun gun followed by a nice cactus clothesline. After connecting with a spinning legdrop
off the top rope, Nova saw Guido and Stamboli get on the apron on opposite sides of the ring. He looked at Stamboli but turned and drilled Maritato with a superkick. Suddenly, Essa Rios came running out to a big pop and pulled Stamboli down. But in the ring, Nova turned right into a spinning side kick off the top rope which was a thing of beauty. Kazarian then covered him for the 1.....2.....3. Match Time: 7:30 Ventura: "Did you see that?
That's why they call him the future Cole"! Cole: "Well it looks like the FBI is not through". MARITATO AND STAMBOLI ROLLED RIOS INTO THE RING AND MARITATO GRABBED A STEEL CHAIR. AFTER CROWNING NOVA WITH THE CHAIR,
GUIDO ORDERED STAMBOLI ANID KAZARIAN TO PICK RIOS UP. WHEN THEY DID, HE SLAPPED HIM ACROSS THE FACE AND STAMBOLI DELIVERED THE "FORGET ABOUT IT" AS THEIR THEME HIT AND THE CROWD VIOLENTLY BOOED.
Ventura: "That's what Rios gets for sticking his nose in their business Cole! Tonight is gonna go down as a breakout night for the FBI"! Cole: "Well they're making enemies at a record rate and that'll catch up to 'em. But tonight, Frankie Kazarian has emerged victorious over his former tag team partner in Evolution"! BACKSTAGE...... JORDAN ROCKWELL AND RHYNO ARE SHOWN SITTING IN THEIR DRESSING ROOM ON A COUCH AND THE CROWD INSIDE LOUDLY CHEERS. Idalis: "Gentlemen in just a....
Jordan Rockwell: (interupting) "Whoa,whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! Hold on just one minute Idalis, didn't your momma ever teach you manners? You don't start talking till after the people are done chanting.
(Rockwell covers the mic as the fans begin chants of both "Rockwell" and "Rhyno")
Rockwell: Okay, now you may proceed".
Idalis: "Well as I was gonna say, in just a short while from now, you will enter the ring to face Jamal and Rosey with the just added stipulation being that the winners get to pick the match when Rick Martel has to face you on PrimeTime Jordan. Your thoughts"?
Rockwell: "Ya know Martel, I know they say that in life all things happen for a reason and all, but I can not understand why you'd wanna get your washed up old ass kicked by Rhyno and I. I mean what'd you do suddenly wake up in the middle of the night and say I wanna get beaten up? Or maybe you and Nidia made a wager on who had a bigger penis, and she beat you and the loser had to come and piss me and my boy Rhyno off! Well regardless of the reasoning of why you decided to mess with me, you did and now right here in Lafayette......
THE FANS LOUDLY CHEER.
Rhyno and I are gonna put a beat down on the fatboys, oops I mean Rosey and Jamal and on PrimeTime, your mine".
Idalis: "My last question is this, what if you and Rhyno lose? Then Rick Martel gets to pick the match".
Rockwell: "Ya know, it was a bit concerning at first but then it hit me, anything I gotta go through to get Martel is what will be. So boys until match time, Rhyno here has three words for ya".
Rhyno: "Enjoy the anticipation"! BACK AT RINGSIDE, "LOOSE" BY EMINEM HITS AND CARNEY COMES OUT TO A HUGE POP AS THE 4 ELEMENTS LOGO SWIRLS AROUND THE RING. Cole: "That big tag team match is coming up in just a bit but right now, it's our first of three huge title matches on tonight's card"! Ventura: "Carney has worn this title before Cole but he never had to defeat someone like Hayabusa to get it". HAYABUSA's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT WITH THE LIGHTHEAVYWEIGHT TITLE AROUND HIS WAIST AND JIM CORNETTE AT HIS SIDE. Cole: "Carney pinned Hayabusa in a tag match just a couple weeks ago on PrimeTime and he's out here to prove it was no fluke"! Ventura: "That's where this match stems from Michael but there's no way Cornette is gonna go O for two tonight"! TWF Lightheavyweight Title Match Challenger.... Carney vs. Hayabusa w/ Jim Cornette Those looking for a great Lightheavyweight title tilt were not disappointed here as this match had a little bit of everything. After a fierce exchange, Carney ducked a backhand but Hayabusa caught him with a martial arts thrust to the throat. He then hit a sliding dropkick that really staggered Carney. After an irish whip to the corner, Hayabusa ran up Carney and flipped off him but when he landed, Carney exploded with a clothesline. After a hitting the reverse affect, Carney went to the top rope. But when he came off, Hayabusa sidestepped him and kicked him right in the temple with a straight kick. He went for the
cover but failed to hook a leg and only got a 2 count. After a brainbuster like suplex, Hayabusa went to the top rope himself and came off with a cross body block but Carney rolled through it and his momentum
almost snared him the title but Hayabusa kicked out and caught him with a jump kick to the head. After a snap mare, Hayabusa kicked him right square in the back before again going to the top rope. He came off with a high elevation asai moonsault but Carney moved out of the way. He then whipped him to the corner and followed in but Hayabusa stuck a foot in his face and got up to the middle rope. But Carney brought him off with a flying arm drag followed by a reverse mule kick when Hayabusa caught his foot. Carney decided to go up and hit the "C-Bomb" but Hayabusa just rolled out of the way. After a hard knifedge chop, he whipped a spent challenger to the corner and went for a tumbling back elbow but Carney dropkicked him in the back of the head, jerking his head forward. Carney realized he had to take a chance and he went to the top rope and hit a beautiful 450 splash and hooked the leg as referee Jim Korderas got down and counted the 1.......2.......3. Match Time: 9:49 Cole: "For the second time in his young career, Carney has become Lightheavyweight champion"! Ventura: "I don't believe this Michael, this is a horrible night for Jim Cornette"! CRAZY SHANE COME TO THE FOOT OF A DRESSING ROOM DOOR. THE RAVEN ENTERPRISES LOGO IS PROMINENTLY DISPLAYED ON IT. HE LOOKS BOTH WAYS, THEN SLOWLY ENTERS. OUTSIDE TRAVIS WAKEMAN's
DRESSING ROOM..... TRISH STRATUS IS STANDING WITH IDALIS. Idalis: "Trish, we were told that there is some late breaking news involving your man, Travis Wakeman. Can you tell us what's up"?
Trish Stratus: "Travis is being seen right now by the trainer. He's been sick all day and has a 105 degree temperature". Idalis: "So how does this affect him challenging Matt Hardy for the Intercontinental title later tonight"? Trish: "Idalis, I don't know
right now. But if you'll please excuse me, I gotta get back in there". TRISH GOES INSIDE THE DRESSING ROOM. BACK AT RINGSIDE, "3 MINUTES" BY 2 SKINNY J's HITS AND JAMAL AND ROSEY COME OUT LED BY NIDIA AND RICK MARTEL. NIDIA IS LOOKING VERY DIFFERENT.
SHE IS WEARING A SPARKLING LAVENDAR DRESS AND STILLETTO HEELS AND RICK MARTEL IS SPRAYING "ARROGANCE" ON HER. Cole: "It's time for that big tag team match and as we heard, a stipulation was added to this match just today Jesse. We know that on the next edition of PrimeTime, Rick Martel will go one on one with Jordan Rockwell and the team that wins here will get to select the stipulation for that match"! RHYNO's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT TO A BIG POP, POUNDING HIS CHEST AS HE WALKS DOWN THE RAMP. Ventura: "Oh that'll be great! I can think of plenty of things Martel would wanna do to Rockwell"! "ROCK HARD" BY JA RULE HITS AND PYRO STREAMS FROM ABOVE THE SET AS JORDAN ROCKWELL COMES OUT TO ONE OF THE LOUDER OVATIONS OF THE NIGHT. Cole: "But my questioni to you is this Jesse. You are a big fan of Martel's, so why is he so anti-Rockwell"? Ventura: "It could be a lot of things Michael. I believe that Rockwell needs to show a little more respect towards someone of Martel's stature and I believe that's part of it". Cole: "Well from what we've gathered, Rockwell and Rhyno seem prepared to begin competing as a regular tag team and what a challenge they have in fromt of them tonight". Ventura: "They might rethink that decision after tonight". Cole: "Jamal and Rosey are of course former tag team champions so it would be a tremendous lift for this new tandem"! Jamal and Rosey w/ Rick Martel and Nidia vs. Jordan Rockwell and Rhyno Rockwell and Rhyno took a beating from the much bigger team after a double hip toss on Rhyno. Jamal whipped him to the corner and then gained momentum after being whipped by Rosey right into him for a body splash. Jamal then sized him up for a nice superkick but when he went for the cover, Rockwell came in to break it up. As referee Mike Chioda walked Rockwell back to his corner, Martel used a handerchief to choke Rhyno before Nidia slapped him across the face. Rosey kept the pressure on the manbeast with some stiff right hands but after missing an avalanche of his own, Rhyno planted him with a spinebuster. He then made his way over and tagged in Rockwell who was all fired up. After knocking Rosey to the floor with a right hand, he delivered a series of back elbows and hammer-like chops to Rosey before whipping him to the ropes for a ring shaking back body drop. He then sized him up for a spear but Rosey moved and then dropped him with a clothesline. He made the tag to Jamal who came in and just stood on the chest of Rockwell before draping him over the ropes. He then got in the face of Chioda as Martel drilled him with a hard right hand. Jamal then made the tag to Rosey and they whipped him to the ropes. But Rockwell put his hand out and Rhyno slapped it, tagging himself in. Rockwell exploded off with a double clothesline that knocked Jamal to the floor. He followed him out but Martel dropped him with a clothesline. Jamal then grabbed the timekeeper's chair and swung it at Rockwell but he ducked and caught him with a DDT. Martel threw a right hand but Rockwell blocked it and hit him with a right of his own. Rockwell then laid Jamal on the spanish announce table and picked Martel up, stacking him on top of Jamal. Rockwell then climbed the turnbuckle as Nidia got in the way, blocking her men. But Rockwell flew off with a body splash anyway and connected, crashing through the table with both men. As "HOLY SHIT" chants could be heard throughout the crowd, Rhyno drilled Rosey with the "Gore" inside the ring and covered him for the 1.......2......3. Cole: "Gore! Gore! Gore! This one is over"! Ventura: "What is Rockwell thinking? He could've hit Nidia or more importantly, screwed up the face of Martel"! Cole: "Maybe that was the plan. But on PrimeTime folks, Rockwell and Rhyno get to pick that stipulation and you can't miss that"!
BACKSTAGE..... RAVEN IS SHOWN WITH KANYON AND SEAN O'HAIRE. Kanyon: "What's the matter man? You got a match coming up". Raven: "Nothing, I just seem to have misplaced something. What I need you two to do is go and find The Beast. I know he's here. Tell him that on the next PrimeTime, we want him with us". Sean O'haire: "We got it covered". O'HAIRE AND KANYON WALK AWAY. A BLACK DRAGON APPEARS ON THE PRIME TRON AND BREATHES FIRE AS "OVER MY HEAD" BY LIT TRACK HITS AND DYLAN JANSENS COMES OUT TO A HUGE POP. Raven vs. Dylan Jansens Before the bell sounded, Raven attacked Jansens from behind but Jansens tackled Raven and showed a side to him not seen before, going into a blind rage. After landing several wild haymakers, Jansens caught Raven with a running knee to the head followed by a kick square in the chest. Jansens was relentless, clubbing Raven into the corner with some hard right hands. He then pulled him up with a front face lock but Raven dropped to one knee and delivered a low blow that slowed him up. Referee Chad Patton looked around to see what happened but Raven was back on the attack, using european uppercuts to drive Jansens into the corner. After a backdrop suplex, he began to choke him with 2 hands. Patton forced him to break the hold but Raven put him over the middle rope and bounced off the far side before jumping right onto him. He then sent him hard to the corner and tried to come in with a clothesline but there was nobody home. Venis then tagged him with some hard right hands before sending him to the ropes and hitting a big back body drop followed by a big elbow. He went for the cover but barely got a 1 count. After reversing an irish whip, Batista missed with a heavy clothesline but he caught Val when he went for a cross body and delivered a hard backbreaker. He then came off the ropes with a big legdrop before grasping his throat and choking the life out of him. Batista then lifted Venis onto his shoulder and had him set up for a running powerslam but Val slipped off and caught him with a spinebuster. Val then delivered a russian leg sweep into a float over pin but Batista powered out of it. Val then tried to hit his running knee lift but Batista countered with a short clothesline. He then lifted him up for a gorilla press slam but again, Val slipped off and caught him with a powerslam. by something and went to one knee. Matt then hit a swinging neckbreaker before going at the injured elbow. After ramming the elbow on the edge of the apron, Matt ripped off the wrap to expose the elbow.
He then came in and yanked at the arm, trying to hyperextend it. Wakeman fought back but his punches had little affect and Matt slowly wore him down. Wakeman, obviously feeling the affects of his sickness, grew increasingly weaker. Matt pulled the injured arm back and picked him up, slamming him right on the arm. Matt then picked him up and shifted him to the corner but when he charged in, Wakeman exploded
out with a clothesline that turned him around. But the move also hurt Wakeman and Matt was up first. He set Wakeman up for the "Twist of Fate" but Wakeman escaped and countered it with the Ace in the Hole! He
slowly moved over for the cover but Matt kicked out at the last second. Matt then countered an irish whip right into the Ricochet before going up top, looking for his flying legdrop. But before he could come off, Wakeman ran up the turnbuckle and brought Matt down with a cobra clutch suplex. He landed on the arm and elbow and screamed in pain but was able to roll on top of Matt to get the 1.......2.....3. FINALLY, HE GOT UP TO THE ROAR OF THE CROWD AND RAISED THE TITLE BEFORE BEING HELPED TO THE BACK BY OFFICIALS. IT STARTS BY SHOWING CLIPS OF SOME OF ARIES' ANTI-AMERICAN COMMENTS FOLLOWED BY KURT ANGLE GETTING THE AMERICAN PEOPLE BEHIND HIM. IT THEN SHOWS KURT MAKING ARIES TAP OUT TO THE ANKLE LOCK IN A TAG TEAM MATCH AND FINALLY, IT SHOWS ARIES SHOOTING A FIREBALL IN THE EYE OF JESSE VENTURA DURING HIS HONORING OF THE PRISONERS OF WAR FROM THE WAR WITH IRAQ. THE LIGHTS GO OUT AND A BLUE STREAK FLASHES ACROSS THE ARENA AND THE SOUND OF THUNDER LEADS INTO
ARIES' MUSIC. A SPOTLIGHT SHOWS HIM STANDING ON THE RAMP AND HE STARTS TO SLOWLY WALK TOWARDS THE RING
TO A HUGE AMOUNT OF HEAT. Cole: "Sit down Jesse, you remembered what happened the last time". Ventura: "You're damn
right I do Michael and this son of a bitch is gonna pay for that"! Cole: "The fans here in Louisiana are showing their distaste towards Aries and Jesse, I can't remember a guy in the history of the TWF who has been more hated than this guy"! THE CROWD ERUPTS WHEN KURT ANGLE'S MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES DOWN THE RAMP ABOUT 10 FEET AND STOPS. PYRO POPS OFF EVERYWHERE AS HE RAISES TWO FINGERS TO THE SKY. Ventura: "This crowd is calling for Aries' head and Kurt Angle is ready to bring it to them and Michael, I can't wait to see it"! Cole: "Angle is a superior wrestler but Aries is trained in so many fighting styles. This is gonna be a very interesting matchup but everyone here wants to see Angle win it". Aries vs. Kurt Angle As the bell sounded, Angle went at Aries but he
left the ring, getting the crowd to boo uncontrollably. Referee Mike Chioda pulled Angle away from the ropes so Aries could get in. When Angle tried to grab him, he caught a thumb to the eye followed by a hard european uppercut. Aries took Angle out of his element, turning the match into a all out fight. Aries used any and all tactics to gain an advantage, even running Angle's eyes along the top rope. But after missing with a clothesline, Angle used a nice arm drag into a top wrist lock. Angle wanted to keep the match on the mat as much as possible. But Aries showed his knowledge of escapes and reversed the hold into a hammerlock. But Angle used his body to turn Aries over and then he caught him with a nice powerslam. The crowd started to come alive as Angle hammered away with a succession of right hands. After a delay vertical suplex, Angle decided to go for a high risk move and he went to the top rope. He came off with a beautiful moonsault but Aries got his knees up and that really turned the match in his favor. Angle favored his midsection the rest of the match
and Aries went after it. After a huge kneelift, Aries went to Angle's body with several kidney punches. He then tried to lock in the Gas Mask but Angle had it well scouted and countered it. After ducking a clothesline, Angle hit a belly to belly suplex before pulling the straps down on his attire. Angle set in the Ankle Lock but Aries scurried to the ropes. Angle was relentless, locking it in again but Aries turned over and kicked him right in the face. After a big clothesline, Aries went to the corner and reached into his fatigues where he pulled out a lead pipe. But Ventura threw off his headset and got up on the apron before taking the pipe out of his hands. Ventura then swung the pipe but Aries ducked and it struck an incoming Angle. Aries then topped Angle for the academic 1.......2.....3. Match Time: 11:49

with Kurt Angle, obviously distraught about what happened at the end of that match, but what a way to wrap up the show. A CORD STRIKES AND BROCK LESNAR's MUSIC HITS. HE IS LOUDLY
BOOED AS HE COMES OUT AND HOPS IN PLACE, THE UNIVERSAL TITLE AROUND HIS WAIST. Well as my partner likes to say, here comes the pain! LESNAR WALKS DOWN THE RAMP WITH A
LOOK OF CONFIDENCE BEFORE JUMPING UP ONTO THE APRON AND GETTING INTO THE RING. Lesnar defeated Rob Van Dam in successive nights for the title but this will be a different challenge! He's gotta defeat a hungry wolverine"! REFEREE EARL HEBNER GIVES BENOIT A LOOK AT THE TITLE AND THEN THE BELL SOUNDS. TWF Unibversal Title Match Challenger....Chris Benoit vs. Brock Lesnar This was a great matchup between two world class athletes. Benoit worked all match to break the vertical base of the
monstrous champion. But every time he tried to go low, Lesnar caught him with a clubbing shot to the back. Lesnar hit several straight right hands and then whipped him to the corner. But when he charged in, Benoit moved out of the way and Lesnar posted his right shoulder hard. That was the opening Benoit needed as he went to work on that right shoulder. After several knifedge chops echoed through the arena, Benoit pulled the arm down over the top rope. Benoit tried to fight him off with the left arm but Benoit was pugnacious, kicking Lesnar in the midsection. Benoit then ducked a clothesline and hit a release german suplex. He covered him for the 1...2.., but Lesnar escaped. Benoit finally had the big man on the mat and he wasn't about to let him up. Benoit pulled the right arm in several awkward positions. Lesnar got up and used his left arm to whip Benoit to the ropes. Benoit came off with a cross body block but was caught in mid air and Lesnar delivered a series of backbreakers. He then lifted benoit up for a powerbomb but Benoit punched his way out of the predicament and when they fell to the mat, Benoit had the Crossface on! Lesnar was in a ton of pain but he fought with everything he had and got to the ropes. The damage was done and Benoit smelled blood. He hit an impressive northern lights suplex to get 1........2......, but Lesnar got up at the last second. Benoit stayed on the attack with his short kicks and tried to whip him to the corner. Lesnar reversed it and charged in but Benoit dodged him and schoolboyed him for another long two count. Lesnar was rattled and Benoit was cookin and seconds
later, Benoit delivered another german suplex. The crowd about lost it as he made the trademark throat slashing gesture and ascended the top rope. With the fans on their feet, Benoit leaped off with his diving headbutt but just in time, Lesnar rolled out of the way. Benoit hit his head hard on the mat and Lesnar regained his footing. When Benoit got up, Lesnar picked him up and hit the "F5" and covered him for the 1.....2.....3. Match Time: 12:21 Cole: "Oh..... so close. Benoit came within an eyelash of dethroning the champion but give Lesnar credit, he took Benoit's best and he's still walkin' away victorious!
