THE THEME FOR UPRISING PLAYS AS THE SHOW TAKES THE AIR ON SPIKE TV. BOTH IDALIS AND TODD GRISHAM ARE SHOWN INSIDE THE NATIONWIDE CENTER IN ONE OF THE PRESS BOXES.
Todd Grisham: "Hello everyone and welcome to the pre-show for the first pay-per-view event of 2005, the Royal Rumble. Idalis, this event is always special for a couple reasons".
Idalis: "That's right Todd, not only are the superstars of both Rampage and PrimeTime under the same roof, but the man who wins tonight's thirty man Royal Rumble match will headline the grandaddy of 'em all, WrestleMania".
Grisham: "That Royal Rumble match will be the big one tonight Idalis but there is so much more, like tonight's Intercontinental title match for instance".
MATCH PREVIEW: JORDAN ROCKWELL VS. SEAN O'HAIRE The video package starts by showing the logo of the New Breed and on each side of it appears the faces of Rockwell and O'Haire. The footage goes on to show the original New Breed, which both men were apart of, under the guidance of Rockwell. Continuing on, the footage shows the change in persona of O'Haire after leaving the group, becoming somewhat of an instigator, someone who intentionally gives ill-fated advice. Next, the clip shows Rockwell telling O'Haire he and Shane McMahon would find a challenger for his Intercontinental Title when the Breed was in control of PrimeTime for one night. That challenger ended up being Rockwell himself. The clip then shows alternating shots of the old O'Haire and the current one, showing a Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde effect. Finally, the clip shows Rockwell being set up by Jason Tiger Oliver for an attack on the latest PrimeTime, followed by a message from O'Haire that he is the originator of the Breed. The clip ends showing Rockwell trying to recover from the attack with O'Haire's voice repeating "I created" over and over. Idalis: "PrimeTime has put forth an amazing card tonight Todd and that's just part of it"! Grisham: "Well I'm not gonna argue with that at all Idalis but I will say that the Rampage side ain't too shabby either and part of that is tonight's King of Cable title match. Now, these two guys just flat out want to destroy each other Idalis and I know Jordan Rockwell has been calling the Intercontinental title a bonus in his match with O'Haire, but quite frankly, I don't think Nemesis cares about the King of Cable title here either, after all, it was Joe Corey who tried to end his career"! Idalis: "And believe it or not Todd, in talking to the people in line here, this is the match I heard most often that they just can't wait for". MATCH PREVIEW: NEMESIS VS. JOE COREY This clip starts out back in the qualifying round for King of the Ring where Corey defeated Nemesis, only to watch him chokeslam his girlfriend Alexis Laree, conjuring up memories of females he's done that to in the past. The word Revenge is then shown in flaming letters, something that is often associated with Nemesis. The voice of Corey is heard making comments like "you aren't in my league" and "no one has been as dominant as me on Rampage". A replay is shown of the match where Joe Corey used Karam Ibrahim to defeat Nemesis and end his career, but he couldn't. Nemesis is then shown in handicap matches facing The DeadPool and the team of Bradshaw and Drew Blood as Corey's voice says "you may have gotten through what I have put in your path.... but you've never shown you can beat me, and you never will"! The faces of both men are shown one last time before a black screen fades them out. Seconds later, the word Revenge pops up again..... on fire. Grisham: "Will Nemesis be able to get that revenge or will it be another chapter in his horrible luck in big matches Idalis"? Idalis: "Whatever happens, it is something a lot of these fans want to see". Grisham: "Well when we come back we will take an in depth look at the World and Universal title matches that will be on hand here tonight and still to come right here on Uprising, Shawn Stasiak takes on the big man, Matt Morgan"! A PROMO GRAPHIC WITH THE UPRISING LOGO IS SHOWN TO PROMOTE THAT MATCH. Before going to commercial break, a few fans give their predictions on tonight's Rumble match. Fan: "I'm gonna take High Octane. He's gonna win it and go on to WrestleMania". Fan: "As long as one of the New Breed wins it, I'll be happy. I'd love to see Chris Tirpak win to be honest". Fan: "Oh it's gotta be Kurt Angle! He was the runner up last year but this year, it's all his! Take some notes Ibrahim"! Fan: "I came all the way from London to see the return of Travis Wakeman and I predict that he throws out everybody and wins! Woooo"! COMMERCIAL BREAK....... A COMMERCIAL FOR HALO 2 FOR X-BOX IS SHOWN FOLLOWED BY ONE FINAL PROMO FOR THE ROYAL RUMBLE. UPRISING RETURNS WITH THE REPLAY OF SHANE THOMPSON FALLING FROM THE HELL IN A CELL AFTER BEING KICKED BY LITA AT WAR IN THE WINTER. GRISHAM AND IDALIS COME BACK INTO THE SHOT. Grisham: "I gotta tell ya Idalis, in my many years as a fan, I've never seen anything like that". Idalis: "Well you know what they say about a woman scorned". Grisham: "But considering what you just saw Idalis, is it not amazing that Shane Thompson will not only compete tonight, but has a chance to win the Universal title"? Idalis: "No doubt about it". MATCH PREVIEW: TRIPLE THREAT DRAGON's LAIR The clip starts by showing the aftermath of Thompson's fall, laying motionless on top of the broadcast table. Dylan Jansens is then shown making the Dragon's Lair challenge. Three weeks, three matches. Anyone to either defeat him or last fifteen minutes would receive an invitation to the Dragon's Lair at the Royal Rumble. The clip Charlie Haas getting the 1....2....3 on him in round one is shown as Jesse Ventura says "Jansens may want to rethink this challenge". In round 2, Jansens was able to defeat Rob Van Dam in an excellent match. But in round 3, it was a mystery who would face Jansens. As Haas was about to be interviewed, he was confronted by Shane Thompson, a shock to all. Thompson hobbled to the ring to accept the challenge and he and Jansens took each other to the limit in an outstanding match. But after 15 minutes, no one emerged victorious so Thompson was given a pass to the Rumble. The voice of Michael Cole then plays up the match for the Rumble as highlights from the first ever Dragon's Lair match are shown and finally, the pictures of all 3 combatants appear side by side along with the Universal title, which glistens above their pictures. Idalis: "Wow, that is gonna be extraoridnary Grish, how is Rampage gonna top that"? Grisham: "Well we didn't have a Dragon's Lair challenge, but we did have a gauntlet match, won in impressive fashion by an emerging superstar". MATCH PREVIEW: BRADSHAW VS. DREW BLOOD The clip starts out by showing highlights of the number one contender's gauntlet match on Rampage which was one by the first man into it, Bradshaw. The footage shows a clip from Bradshaw's brief aspirations to run for U.S. President before challenging Drew Blood to a meeting of the minds. Clips are shown from Bradshaw's spiel before the symbol of Drew Blood was shown out in an open field with a wax dummy of Bradshaw attached. The voice of Jerry Lawler said that Bradshaw got a first hand look into the mind of Drew Blood and J.R. called him the master of the mind game. Finally, the clip ends with footage of Bradshaw and Drew Blood teaming up against Nemesis in a handicap match on the last Rampage and shows Bradshaw sacrificing a victory to smash Drew with the "Clothesline from Hell" which allowed Nemesis to pin him. Has Bradshaw gotten into the head of Drew Blood and if he has, will he wish he never did? Grisham: "As you can see that will be a solid World title match and from top to bottom, this may be the best Royal Rumble ever Idalis". Idalis: "I think we could get a lot of people to agree with that Todd but I think that's gonna do it for us tonight so let's send it down to J.R. and the King"! UNDER A BROTHA SERVICES' MUSIC HITS AND TEDDY LONG LEADS OUT MATT MORGAN TO A LOT OF BOOS. J.R.: "Thanks guys and tremendous job with the pre-show there and King, this is one of our favorite events, I'm glad to be a part of it again". Jerry Lawler: "And never can I remember a bigger Royal Rumble than this J.R., the atmosphere inside the Nationwide arena says it all"! SHAWN STASIAK's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT WITH A VERY SCANTILY CLAD JACKIE GAYDA. J.R.: "For any of you out there who hasn't ordered, we are gonna be switching to our pay-per-view channel in about ten minutes so contact that local cable operator now"! Lawler: "Oh my gosh J.R.! I think Jackie just added to the atmosphere here... look at her"! J.R.: "I see her King but if Shawn Stasiak wants to win this one, he better take his eyes off his pretty girlfriend and focus on Mount Morgan". Matt Morgan w/ Teddy Long vs. Shawn Stasiak w/ Jackie Gayda Stasiak showed a lot of resilience in this one as he was just pummeled by Morgan. He tried to get back into it with a tornado DDT but Morgan launched him across the ring and just plowed through him with a clothesline. That was the prelude to his sit down powerbomb and Long aided the referee in making the 3 count. Match Time: 7:06 J.R.: "Mount Morgan keeps rolling here on Rampage and I predict him to be a major force to reckon with sooner than later but King, we are just about two minutes away". Lawler: "Well two minutes is all I'd need with Jackie Gayda but anyway.... folks you don't wanna miss this one, it's gonna be huge! Thirty men, only one can main event WrestleMania! Who's it gonna be"?! "TOUCHE" BY GODSMACK PLAYS AS ALL 30 MEN WHO WILL COMPETE IN TONIGHT's ROYAL RUMBLE MATCH ARE SHOWN. AFTER THEY HAVE ALL BEEN PUT ON THE SCREEN, THE SHOT FADES OUT.
*ON A SIDE NOTE, I WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW THAT THE ORDER OF ENTRY WAS ACTUALLY DRAWN THIS YEAR, AS IT HAS BEEN EVERY YEAR.
AFTER ABOUT A 30 SECOND DELAY, THE COPYRIGHT WARNING IS SHOWN INSIDE THE LEGAL FBI DISCLAIMER AND THEN THE TWF ENTERTAINMENT LOGO.
IN CARTOON FORM, THE FIFTEEN MEN WHO WILL REPRESENT RAMPAGE ARE SHOWN WALKING IN AN OUTDOOR SETTING, ALL WEARING RAMPAGE SHIRTS. FROM THE OPPOSITE SIDE THE FIFTEEN PRIMETIME SUPERSTARS EMERGE, WEARING ORANGE PRIMETIME SHIRTS. THE 2 CLANS START WALKING TOWARDS EACH OTHER AS A WRESTLING RING COMES INTO VIEW, IN THE MIDDLE OF EACH. BUT RIGHT BEFORE THEY GET TO THE RING, A SHADOW ENGULFS IT AND A HUGE, SNARLING BLACK DRAGON LANDS INSIDE IT. THE 30 SUPERSTARS LOOK AROUND AS IF NOT KNOWING WHAT TO DO. THEN, FROM 3 DIFFERENT AREAS, SHANE THOMPSON, CHARLIE HAAS AND DYLAN JANSENS COME OUT AND APPROACH THE DRAGON. THE DRAGON LOOKS AT BOTH HAAS AND THOMPSON AND RAGE CAN BE SEEN INSIDE IT's RED EYES. "RIGHT HERE"! SHOUTS JANSENS. THE DRAGON TURNS AND JANSENS HOLDS UP HIS UNIVERSAL TITLE. THE DRAGON LEANS DOWN WITH IT's LONG NECK AND GETS RIGHT IN JANSENS FACES, LOOKING AT THE GOLD TITLE. JANSENS STARES BACK WITH AN EQUAL AMOUNT OF FEROCITY BEFORE THE DRAGON FLYS OFF. THE RAMPAGE SUPERSTARS WATCH THE DRAGON FLY INTO THE DARKENING SKY, AS DO THE PRIMETIME SUPERSTARS. BUT THEN, THEY ALL ENTER THE RING, ENGAGING IN AN ALL OUT BRAWL AS THE 2005 ROYAL RUMBLE LOGO IS SHOWN. Audio voiceover: "And now..... X-BOX and TWF entertainment present....... the 2005 Royal Rumble"! THE NATIONWIDE ARENA COMES INTO THE SHOT DISPLAYING AN AWESOME SET THAT SHOWS SEVERAL TWF SUPERSTARS IN CARTOON FORM BEHING THE TWF LOGO. Jim Ross: "Welcome to the sixth annual TWF Royal Rumble and King, this is amazing"! Jerry Lawler: "Nearly twenty thousand fans are jam packed inside the Nationwide center J.R., you're right it's amazing"! J.R.: "Well I'd like to think that Rampage was gonna get the entire spotlight tonight but there is action on the PrimeTime side too.... take it away guys"! MICHAEL COLE AND JESSE VENTURA ARE SHOWN RINGSIDE AT THEIR BROADCAST POSITION. Michael Cole: "And King don't forget that we are being viewed live in fifty one countries tonight and for the first time ever in Finland"! Jesse Ventura: "They have all tuned in to see what PrimeTime has to offer and who isn't hyped up for that thirty man Royal Rumble later on"?! "TIME TO ROCK N' ROLL" BY LIL' KIM HITS AND TRISH STRATUS COMES OUT IN A FISHNET OUTFIT AND THROWS THE WOMEN's TITLE UP IN HER RIGHT ARM. J.R.: "Well it looks like we're gonna get this thing started so we'll take it from guys"! Lawler: "And I thought Jackie Gayda was hot earlier, look at this"! J.R.: "Well this ain't no beauty pageant King! This is about Trish Stratus defending that woman's title against someone who she has quite a bit of spite for lately"! ALEXIS LAREE COMES OUT TO A BRAND NEW ENTRANCE THEME DONE BY GWEN STEFANI. SHE IS LOUDLY BOOED. Lawler: "YAnd you have to admit J.R. that Alexis Laree has had Trish's number". J.R.: "I'm not gonna admit that. But what I will admit is that if not for Joe Corey being in control of Rampage for the last month, she wouldn't even be in this match"! Lawler: "Alexis did defeat Stephanie McMahon to help him get control though J.R.". J.R.: "But Stephanie is not a wrestler, Trish is and this is gonna be a test of a much different kind for Ms. Laree"! TWF Women's Title Match Challenger: Alexis Laree vs. Trish Stratus The women locked up and many were surprised to see Alexis get aggressive and whip Trish to the mat. Trish got up with a head of steam and charged her but Alexis caught were with a back elbow before taking a page out of Trish's book with a jumping bulldog. Trying to bring a new element into her arsenal, Alexis tried to walk the middle rope for an elbow drop but Trish rolled out of the way. She then gave Alexis a heavy dose of right forearms before sending her to the corner. She ran in but Alexis got a foot up and came out with a clothesline. But Trish avoided it by using her matrix and then caught her with a bulldog of her own. Trish went for the cover but a 2 count was all she got. Trish grabbed Alexis around the head and pointed one finger out, looking for the "StratusFaction". But Alexis countered it with a nice backdrop suplex before whipping her to the ropes and delivering a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Smelling an upset, Alexis again went to the corner, this time climbing to the top rope. But a determined Trish got up and brought her off with a headscissor before smacking her with the Chick Kick. Trish then went into the cover and got the 3 count to retain her title. Match Time: 5:44 "TIME TO ROCK N' ROLL" HIT AGAIN AND TRISH PROUDLY RAISED THE TITLE AS SHE POINTED OUT INTO THE CROWD. J.R.: "Trish Stratus gains a huge victory along with a margin of revenge here against Alexis Laree who was game but was just a step off tonight King"! Lawler: "Well of you think about it J.R., it was the two high risk attempts that were her downfall tonight"! J.R.: "Trish retains the title and looked good doing it"! BACKSTAGE AREA...... THE SCENE CUTS TO THE DRAWING ROOM WHERE TWO ARENA EMPLOYEES ARE TURNING THE TUMBLER. MIKE AUSTIN AND RIC FLAIR WALK IN, WEARING EXPENSIVE SUITS. Ric Flair: "Make way.... Royal Rumble winner comin' through"! AUSTIN WALKS UP AND SELECTS HIS NUMBER, SHOWING IT TO FLAIR. Flair: "Wooo! You can do it champ, you did it at War in the Winter"! Mike Austin: "Stone Cold better show up". Flair: "What's he gonna say to his nephew when he wins the Royal Rumble"? TWF RE-WIND SHOWS CHAVO GUERRERO DEFEATING ULTIMO DRAGON ON THE LAST PRIMETIME TO WIN THE LIGHTHEAVYWEIGHT TITLE. AKIO IS SHOWN IN THE RING, HIS MUSIC IS PLAYING AND HE IS SPORTING A NEW SHAVED HEAD LOOK. Cole: "Golden oppurtunity here for Akio as we roll out the PrimeTime side of the card Jesse". Ventura: "I know there's a lot of people out there who don't feel Akio should be in this match but how many times did he pin Ultimo Dragon since he won the title back? Two or three"? "OOOH CHAVO" IS HEARD AND CHAVO GUERRERO COMES OUT WITH THE LIGHTHEAVYWEIGHT TITLE TO A PRETTY GOOD REACTION. Cole: "But Ultimo Dragon is not the opponent tonight. Chavo Guerrero is as good as it gets in the Lightheavyweight division and I'll give him the nod over a fast rising Akio here"! Ventura: "Well I'm gonna look at things from a different point of view Cole and while I will acknowledge the fact that Chavo is as good as anyone, I think that the streak Akio has been on will carry over here and translate into a win"! Cole: "Thank you Professor Ventura". TWF Lightheavyweight Title Match Challenger: Akio vs. Chavo Guerrero The bell sounded and both men tried to feel each other out. After circling each other a couple times, Chavo lunged at Akio and grabbed him in a waist lock. But Akio ran with him and went down near the ropes, sending Chavo to the floor in the process. Chavo recovered just in time to see Akio flying over the top rope with a plancha to take him out. Akio then put Chavo up against the guard rail and jumped onto the rail on the other side. He flew off but Chavo moved and he went chest first into the corner of the rail. Chavo then grabbed Akio and rolled him into the ring, looking to make quick work of him. But he only got a 2 count off his cover. He pulled him up for a side backbreaker before grabbing him in a painful reverse chin lock, driving his knee into his back. Chavo then hit a suplex and he was in great shape to retain the title but off an irish whip, Akio countered with a spectacular jumping spin kick that cold cocked Chavo. Replays of the kick were shown 3 times. Akio then dropped him with a reverse DDT and went for the cover, getting a long 2 count. After an irish whip, Akio delivered a double thrust to the throat followed by a great flying swinging neckbreaker. Akio moved Chavo into position and went to the top rope, coming off with the "Akiosault". But Chavo got his knees up and did some serious damage to Akio's title hopes. Chavo picked him up for the "Gory Bomb" but Akio wrestled himself free and drilled him with a savat kick. He went for the cover but Chavo again was up at 2. Akio then shot him to the corner and flew in with a yakuza kick. But all he caught was the corner as Chavo moved and then hit the "Gory Bomb" with enough impact to put it away. Match Time: 10:43 Cole: "That is what makes the Lightheavyweight division something that Rampage just can't compete with! What a win for Chavo Guerrero"! Ventura: "I'll give Chavo his due but you mark my words Michael, Akio is someone who will be Lightheavyweight champion one day"! CHAVO WAS SHOWN LEAVING WITH HIS TITLE AS HIS MUSIC PLAYED. DRAWING ROOM STRIFE AND BAHAMUT HAVE JUST GOTTEN DONE SELECTING THEIR NUMBERS BUT AFTER EXITING THE ROOM, THEY RUN INTO CRYSTAL CARMICHAEL. Crystal Carmichael: "So.... what numbers did you guys get? STRIFE AND BAHAMUT JUST LOOK AT EACH OTHER. Ah, you guys don't care right? You're too focused on being the best tag team in the TWF. Well I got news for both of you..... you've got a long way to go to catch up with Jamal and Rosey". CRYSTAL WALKS AWAY. Bahamut: "Is she like on drugs or something"? Strife: "Who the hell are Jamal and Rosey? Sounds as bad as Milli and Vanilli". STRIFE AND BAHAMUT WALK AWAY AS THE SHOT GOES TO A DRESSING ROOM WHERE KARAM IBRAHIM IS CATCHING ALL THE ACTION. JUST THEN, KURT ANGLE COMES IN AND GIVES HIM A PENCIL AND NOTEPAD. Karam Ibrahim: "What is this"? Kurt Angle: "What's it look like? What are you doing anyway"? Ibrahim: "Oh, that Matt Cruz guy has his match next. I was gonna check it out". ANGLE SHUTS THE MONITOR OFF. Angle: "Listen Karam, don't turn this thing back on until the Rumble match. And I mean late in the Rumble match cause I have the very best number you can draw. Use that pencil and notepad to take some notes and maybe next year, you can do what I'm gonna do this year and that's main event WrestleMania"! ANGLE WALKS OUT OF THE ROOM AS THE FOCUS IS BACK INSIDE THE ARENA. STEVEN RICHARDS' MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT ALONG WITH ALEX MIRAN. J.R.: "Well Michael we're gonna do our best to comepete with your Lightheavyweights with this match here and when you have a veteran on your roster like Steven Richards, I think you can compete". Lawler: "Well I took offense to that comment too J.R. but I can assure those guys on PrimeTime that someone from Rampage will win the Royal Rumble tonight, just like I can assure this Matt Cruz guy that he's bitten off more than he can chew here"! "THE NEXT EPISODE" A DR. DRE CLASSIC HITS AND OUT COMES MATT CRUZ TO A FAVORABLE RESPONSE. J.R.: "That echoes the statements made by Alex Miran on Rampage last week but I was thoroughly impressed with this kid's talent in his debut King"! Lawler: "Well as hard as he's trained and as much as he studied, it's not a quarter of what Steven Richards has seen and done and tonight, the rookie goes to class"! J.R.: "Look, I will not deny Steven Richards' talents but I truly believe that the TWF has found a diamond in the rough here in former Longhorn Matt Cruz"! Lawler: "Now wait a minute, if he won an NCAA championship at Texas, doesn't that mean he beat all those guys from Oklahoma"? J.R.: "That's what it means". Lawler: "And you still like him"? J.R.: "Just call the match King, the bell just rang". Steven Richards w/ Alex Miran vs. Matt "Madik" Cruz Cruz grabbed Richards and looked like he was gonna turn him into a pretzel but Richards jabbed at him with a back elbow and then poked him in the eye. Cruz was really slowed down by this tactic as Richards blasted him with knifedge chops screaming "this is what you get"! after each one. Richards even climbed to the middle turnbuckle to bite the nose of Cruz before pulling him into his old Censor suplex. Richards then took all of referee Chad Patton's 5 count to choke Cruz before getting up and spitting right on him. Richards then yelled into the crowd "look at your NCAA champ now! This is the fu**ing TWF"! But when Richards turned around, he was met by a Cruz clothesline which led to 3 versions of the t-bone suplex. Cruz was full of energy when Miran got on the apron and went for a slap. But Cruz ducked and nearly walked right into the "Steven Kick" but he also showed a cat-lile quickness in avoiding it and then kicked Richards in the abdomen before delivering a gutwrench powerbomb, placing his legs over each arm as he listened to the hand of Patton hit the mat 3 times. Match Time: 4:54 J.R.: "Who's going to school King?! Hvae you changed your opinion yet"! Lawler: "Come on J.R., you know the old saying about how the sun will shine on a dog's ass now and then! One good match does not equal a legend J.R."! CRUZ LEFT AS "THE NEXT EPISODE" PLAYED AND THEN GRABBED A SIGN FROM ONE OF THE FRONT ROW FANS THAT STATED "MATT CRUZ IS AUTOMADIK". J.R.: "Well he's far from legendary status King but he has two wins and two wins against no losses with the caliber of talent on Rampage is one hell of an accomplishment"! DRAWING ROOM...... WITH THE KING OF CABLE TITLE OVER HIS SHOULDER, JOE COREY IS ABOUT TO SELECT HIS NUMBER. Stephanie McMahon: "Hold up Corey". STEPHANIE ENTERS THE SHOT. Joe Corey: "Do I know you? I mean, it's been so long since you've been around". COREY LAUGHS. Stephanie: "Very funny, but as of tonight, I am taking control back of Rampage and I'm gonna start by telling you that in your King of Cable title match..... Alexis is banned from ringside! STEPHANIE STARTS TO WALK OUT AS COREY GOES BACK TO THE TUMBLER. Oh but one more thing. STEPH REACHES HER HAND INTO THE TUMBLER AND PULLS OUT A NUMBER, HANDING IT TO COREY. There ya go, that's your number for the Rumble". COREY LOOKS AT THE NUMBER AND THROWS THE PLASTIC BUBBLE IT CAME OUT OF AGAINST THE WALL. BACK AT RINGSIDE, "NO CHANCE" PLAYS AND FANS ARE STUNNED AND AT THE SAME TIME ELATED TO SEE VINCE McMAHON, THE CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD COME TO THE RING. Cole: "Look at this Jesse! When was the last time we saw Vince McMahon in a TWF ring"?! Ventura: "It's been awhile Cole so you know this has got to be good"! Lawler: "It's the CEO J.R. and listen to this crowd"! J.R.: "Well the last time Vince McMahon was around, I don't remember him being all that popular but this is a tremendous ovation"! Vince McMahon: "Thank you.... thank you all very much. I know it's been a long time since I've been around, but I thought tonight, a momentous night in the TWF, was the perfect time for me to remind everyone that the winner of tonight's Royal Rumble will move on to the main event of WrestleMania and for the first time ever, will be able to select the champion of the division he would like to face! THE CROWD LOUDLY POPS. Furthermore, what will make WrestleMania six even more special......... JUST THEN, THE ARABIC TUNE OF MUHAMMAD HASSAN's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT WITH TIGER ALI SINGH TO SOME OF THE LOUDEST HEAT ALL NIGHT. Cole: "Oh no, what does this guy want"? Ventura: "And look at McMahon! He doesn't look at all pleased Michael"! Vince McMahon: "And what the hell is this?! I don't remember inviting you two out here"! HASSAN RIPS THE MIC FROM McMAHON. Muhammad Hassan: "Did I need an invitation? If the American troops weren't invited to stay in Iraq as long as they have.... then why the hell would I wait for you to ask me to come out here?! Ya know Vince, it is your recent support of these same troops that I am out here. I figured that a man of your stature, a man of your knowledge would look into the real reason for the problems in Iraq...... and those problems stem from America! The only American troop that I have ever met with any sense is Rick Clark! Because he was smart enough to leave! He didn't want to fight this war because he knew what America is doing is wrong! So don't...... McMAHON SNATCHES THE MIC BACK. McMahon: "Now listen you son of a bitch! I...... JUST THEN, HASSAN BLASTS VINCE WITH A RIGHT HAND, KNOCKING HIM TO THE MAT. Cole: "Oh my gosh! Does this fool know what he is doing"?! HASSAN AND TIGER STAND OVER VINCE IN A STALKING MANNER BEFORE HASSAN PUTS ON THE CAMEL CLUTCH. Ventura: "Wait a minute, here comes Kid Gundam"! KID GUNDAM HITS THE RING TO A HEROES' CHEER AND KNOCKS HASSAN OFF VINCE WITH A KICK TO THE HEAD. VINCE AND TIGER ALI SINGH SCRAMBLE OUT OF THE RING AS THE BELL SOUNDS TO START THE MATCH. Muhammad Hassan w/ Tiger Ali Singh vs. Kid Gundam w/ Vince McMahon Gundam was on top of Hassan as the bell rang, drilling him with swinging right hands. Referee Brian Hebner forced a break and a hotheaded Hassan charged Gundam, only to run into a kick to the midsection. Gundam followed that up with a wicked swinging neckbreaker where he grabbed Hassan by the chin. Gundam sat him up and kicked him flush in the chest, causing an immediate redness. Gundam then hit the ropes but Singh grabbed his foot, allowing Hassan to come from behind with a forearm to the small of the back. Using the heel of his boot, Hassan then choked Gundam, taking nearly the 5 count to do it. Hassan then pulled him up and shot him to the ropes, looking for a backbody drop. But he put his head down a tad too soon and Gundam got in a kick. But Hassan ducked a clothesline and grabbed him for the reverse STO facebuster. But Gundam countered with an elbow to the side of the head followed by a sharp kick to the head. Hassan fell back and Gundam covered him but only got a 2 count. Gundam then went for a vertical suplex but Hassan blocked it with his foot and took him down with an armbar. Gundam was in a lot of trouble as Hassan was pulling the arm way out of place. Finally, Gundam was able to roll over and kick Hassan twice in the head, forcing a break. But after bouncing off the ropes, Gundam ran into a big spinebuster and Hassan rolled him over, locking in the Camel Clutch. He had the hold cinched in and Gundam was evidently in pain. Hassan used both hands to pull back on the move, looking for the submission. But showing his true will, Gundam was able to negotiate his left leg to the ring rope. Tiger tried to throw the foot from the rope but Hebner saw it. Hebner began yelling at Singh and Hassan got in his face. During that argument, Tiger came into the ring, looking to drop Gundam with a shot of his own. But when Gundam ducked, all he hit was his own man! After taking the shot, Hassan hit the ropes and Gundam used an inside small package to score the win and send the entire audience into the loudest cheer to that point in the evening. Match Time: 10:00 Ventura: "Now I like that! That's exactly what that piece of garbage Hassan deserves"! Cole: "Kid Gundam has sent a burst of energy through this Columbus crowd by going from the camel clutch to a huge victory over the hated Hassan"! GUNDAM LEFT TO WHAT WAS STILL A VERY LOUD CHEER AS HASSAN WAS VERY UPSET IN THE RING. Ventura: "The camel clutch is one of the most debilitating moves in the history of this sport Michael and that makes this even more impressive for Gundam"! Cole: "Well something tells me will here about this and soon from Hassan's point of view". DRAWING ROOM WITH STACY KIEBLER WATCHING INTENTLY, AUSTIN PYROMANIA REACHES INTO THE TUMBLER AND SELECTS HIS NUMBER. STACY THEN TAPS HIM ON THE SHOULDER AND POINTS TO JOHN CENA, WHO HAS ENTERED THE ROOM. Austin Pyromania: "Oh look, I supposed old John here wants an explanation as to why I got involved in his tag team title match on Rampage". John Cena: "Damn right I do". Pyromania: "Well, maybe it's because I asked you nicely not to take the match". Cena: "So is that all you think about is you"? Pyromania: "No, I was thinking of Pyronomics, something..... STACY TRIES TO PULL PYRO AWAY. no Stacy, I'm saying this! Pyronomics is apparently just an afterthought to you". Cena: "Now correct me if I'm wrong, but on that same night, didn't you wish me luck in winning those titles? Look man, I wasn't ready to put an end to Pyronomics, but if you get in my way in that Rumble tonight and try and interrupt what I'm out there to do, I just might be ready to do that". CENA WALKS AWAY AS THE SHOT GOES TO ANOTHER PART OF THE BACKSTAGE AREA WHERE JORDAN ROCKWELL COMES UP TO NEMESIS. Jordan Rockwell: "You wanted to see me big man"? Nemesis: "Jordan, all I've heard about all week is my failures. My failure to win in big matches. My failure to hold a title. I've heard nothing about my accomplishments"! Rockwell: "Look man, this is your match tonight, you've jumped through all Corey's hoops, now just go and jump on him and take that title". Nemesis: "Pain...... that is my focus tonight. To inflict pain. As long as I do that, this was never about titles Jordan". NEMESIS WALKS AWAY, SENDING THE SHOT TO THE CONCESSION AREA WHERE CHAOS WOLF FINDS JASON TIGER OLIVER ON HIS CELL PHONE. UPON SEEING WOLF, OLIVER HANGS UP. Chaos Wolf: "So do you have a good reason for setting up Rockwell last week? Or should I just beat your ass now"? JUST THEN, SEAN O'HAIRE ENTERS THE ROOM WITH HIS UNITED FRONT OF LUTHER REIGNS, NAILS, RENE DUPREE AND RHYNO. Sean O'Haire: "What was that, punk"? AS THE 5 MEN MOVE IN, SHANE McMAHON COMES IN, OUT OF BREATH. Shane McMahon: "No one.... no one do a thing! I gaurantee that the first one to throw a punch will not participate in tonight's Rumble. Oliver, they need you in the drawing room to select your number". OLIVER WALKS PAST WOLF AND THE 2 GIVE EACH OTHER A LONG STARE. O'HAIRE AND THE REST FOLLOW HIM OUT AS SHANE JUST LOOKS AT WOLF. Shane: "There will be a time for all this, it's just not right now". THE LIGHTS GO OUT AND THE WORD "REVENGE" APPEARS IN FLAMING LETTERS ON THE TWF TRON AS "IN MY DARKEST HOUR" BY MEGADEATH PLAYS AND THE CROWD COMES TO THEIR FEET TO WITNESS THE ENTRANCE OF NEMESIS. J.R.: "We thank you all for joining us tonight for the Royal Rumble fans and it is now time for the King of Cable title match. Will this be the night for Nemesis to claim gold"? Lawler: "Well judging by what we just heard J.R., I don't know if he's even thinking about the title". "LYING FROM YOU" BY LINKIN PARK HITS, BRINGING OUT THE KING OF CABLE CHAMPION JOE COREY. J.R.: "August 31st, that is the day that this man won the King of Cable title, his second time holding it". Lawler: "It is one of the more impressive title reigns in TWF history J.R. and I hate to say it but I truly believe that it is in jeopardy tonight"! J.R.: "There is no doubt that Joe Corey has deliberately made the life of Nemesis hell, I really mean that. So I agree with your point King, Nemesis may be out here more to hurt Corey than he is to win a title". Lawler: "And Stephanie has taken away Alexis who could be there to warn him of certain things"! J.R.: "Well with Nemesis involved, that may be for the best if you're Alexis". TWF King of Cable Title Match Challenger: Nemesis vs. "The Show" Joe Corey What followed the introductions was probably the best match of the evening. Corey wanted to show Nemesis he didn't fear him or anything about him, walking up and slapping him across the face. But as he badmouthed him, Nemesis swung back with a soup bone right hand that put Corey on the mat. Corey got back up and threw a right hand but Nemesis blocked it and headbutted him, knocking him into the corner. He followed that with 2 heavy back elbows while he was in the corner before firing him to the opposite side. Corey hit the turnbuckle so hard that he just fell face first to the mat. Showing a killer instinct, Nemesis got way up into the air to drop a huge leg across the back of Corey's neck. He rolled the limp Corey over and got the 1........2......., but that was it. Nemesis tried to pull Corey up but he seemed like dead weight. With referee Jack Doan out of position, Corey got in a low blow before hitting the ropes and dropping Nemesis with a double sledge. He then draped him over the middle ring rope and choked him using his knee. Doan asked for a break and Corey gave him one but went right back to the choke. He then shot Nemesis to the ropes and went downstairs with a punch to the abdomen before planting him with a DDT. The match had swung completely into the favor of the champion and he got right down in Nemesis' face, screaming obscenities. But then, Nemesis grabbed him by the throat and worked his way to his feet. Corey was able to escape his clutches though and he kicked him in the gut, looking for the "Showstopper". But Nemesis felt it and countered with a backbody drop and then grabbed Corey by the throat again when he got up. That led to a thunderous chokeslam and a new champion was in the making. But a weird cameraman jumped up on the apron and as Corey had Doan totally distracted, the man used his camera to hammer Nemesis across the face, knocking him to the mat. The crowd went into boos as the man hid his face. Corey picked Nemesis up and delivered the "Showstopper", this time with success, rolling him over to get the 3 count. Match Time: 8:31 J.R.: "Well I'll be damned! What the hell just happened"! Lawler: "Even the camera thought Nemesis was hideous J.R., that's what happened"! COREY AND THE CAMERA MAN RAN TO THE BACK. COREY HELD HIS TITLE AS THE MAN STILL HID HIS IDENITY. J.R.: "I just can't believe this! Corey has pulled one over on us again! But who the hell is that guy"?! Lawler: "Well whoever he is, he just made a huge impact at the Royal Rumble, that's for sure". DRAWING ROOM RANDY ORTON IS CONVERSING WITH VICTORIA JUST OUTSIDE THE DRAWING ROOM WHEN KURT ANGLE COMES UP AND NUDGES ORTON OUT OF THE WAY. Randy Orton: "Excuse me Victoria, but it seems this guy has a problem". Kurt Angle: "Problem? There's no problem, I mean for me that is. But watching PrimeTime as I always do, I'd say you have plenty of problems. Now if you'll excuse me, I already picked my number, I actually have a spot in the Royal Rumble match". ANGLE WALKS AWAY AND ORTON WANTS TO GO AFTER HIM BUT VICTORIA STOPS HIM. Victoria: "Don't, he's not worth it". SEAN O'HAIRE's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT TO A TON OF BOOS. Cole: "Well getting back to the PrimeTime side of the event and congratulations to Rampage on that last match but I think we can top it with this one Jesse". Ventura: "Do you remember when the New Breed was created for the first time Cole? I do and I remember this man being the glue that held it together, the man everyone went to for help"! Cole: "Are you sure O'Haire hasn't brainwashed you too? Because that was complete nonsense Jesse, I have to call it like it is"! O'HAIRE HOLDS THE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE UP WHICH DRAWS EVEN MORE HEAT. Ventura: "You call it nonsense Michael, I call it the truth. We both know whose side our viewers will be on out of you and I". "BACK IN BLACK" BY AC/DC HITS BUT NO ONE COMES OUT. O'HAIRE JUST STARTS LAUGHING. Cole: "Wait a minute! Where's Rockwell"! Ventura: "He must've backed out Michael! He doesn't want to fight O'Haire"! BUT JUST THEN, THE MUSIC HITS AGAIN AND ONE SECTION OF THE CROWD BEGINS TO GO ABSOLUTELY NUTS AS JORDAN ROCKWELL IS CAUGHT BY A SPOTLIGHT, WALKING DOWN SOME ARENA STAIRS, HEADING DIRECTLY TO THE RING. HE IS WEARING A NEW BREED T-SHIRT AND ALL THE FANS ARE TRYING TO GET CLOSE TO HIM. Cole: "It's a grand entrance for the originator of the New Breed and that's the truth... Jesse"! Ventura: "I thought for sure he quit on these people but O'Haire is ready"! ROCKWELL SLIDES INTO THE RING AND BEATS O'HAIRE TO THE PUNCH AS THE BELL SOUNDS. TWF Intercontinental Title Match Challenger: Jordan Rockwell vs. Sean O'Haire Referee Charles Robinson had already lost control as Rockwell was beating O'Haire from corner to corner. After kicking the title he called a "bonus" out of the ring, Rockwell took off his shirt and wrapped it around the neck of O'Haire. As he choked him, he then threw him over the top rope, hanging him for a second. As O'Haire tried to recuperate, Robinson warned Rockwell to calm down. O'Haire came back into the ring and threw a spin kick but Rockwell ducked and grabbed him for "Extreme Measures". But O'Haire countered by pushing out of it and then he hit the martial arts kick he was looking for earlier. With Rockwell down, O'Haire tried to shake the cobwebs. He picked Rockwell up for a backdrop suplex but Rockwell flipped off his shoulder and went for a clothesline, only smashing Robinson when O'Haire ducked. As Rockwell tried to get Robinson up, O'Haire rolled out of the ring and grabbed his belt. He brought it in, concealing it as best he could but when he swung with it, Rockwell just caught him and dropped him with the Rock Smasher. The fans could see the title changing hands as Rockwell picked the belt up. Both O'Haire and Robinson got to their feet simultaneously. O'Haire saw this and fell back to the mat like a ton of bricks. Robinson turned to see Rockwell holding the preverbial smoking gun and although Rockwell tried to plead his case, he called for the bell. Match Time: 3:14 Cole: "No.... don't tell me he's disqualified Rockwell"! Ventura: "That's the official announcement here Cole! Now tell me O'Haire's not brilliant"! O'HAIRE WAS AWARDED THE MATCH BY DQ AND AS HE SAT ON THE MAT LAUGHING, A DISGUSTED ROCKWELL JUST THREW THE BELT AT HIM. Cole: "Brilliant? I think desperate is more appropriate! This was a desperate man who knew he had to do something like this to retain the title"! Ventura: "Call it what you want, but Rockwell's the one leaving without the title! Go tell your New Breed boys that one"! BACKSTAGE AREA...... CAMERAS IN THE BACKSTAGE AREA SHOW DYLAN JANSENS HEADING TO THE RING FOR HIS MATCH WHEN HE IS ABRUPTLY CONFRONTED BY THE DEADPOOL. VISCERA AND MORDECAI ARE JUST BLOCKING THE PATH DOWN THE HALL WHEN DREW BLOOD APPEARS. Drew Blood: "Let him go..... he has enough to worry about". MORDECAI AND VISCERA STEP AWAY, ALLOWING JANSENS THROUGH. JANSENS WALKS PAST DREW BLOOD, GIVING HIM A CONFIDENT LOOK. Drew Blood: "That's nothing but a lamb off to the slaughter". Viscera: "The sacrificial symbol is ready... do you want us to do anything else"? Drew Blood: "Remember.... you do as I ask.... you do what we planned. One day, one day maybe you two will be the force you should be. Until then, you need me..... I don't need either of you". "MONEY, MONEY, MONEY" BLARES OVER THE LOUDSPEAKERS AND CHARLIE HAAS IS SHOWN WALKING TO THE RING IN THE BACKSTAGE AREA WHEN HE IS APPROACHED BY IDALIS.
Idalis: "I'm standing here with Charlie Haas, who's just about ready to enter the Triple Threat match for the Universal title with Dylan Jansens and Shane Thomp...."
Charlie Haas: "I know who they are. But it doesn't matter who..."
JUST THEN, SHANE THOMPSON COMES WALKING UP TO HAAS, WHO SEEMS SUPRISED.
Shane Thompson: "Last time I checked Charlie, you never had a big track record against Dylan Jansens, or against me for that matter."
Charlie Haas: "That was a long time ago."
Shane Thompson: "Sure. Whatever, just know this. When I'm done, I'm going to take all that dirty money you got and stick it where it all should go, right...up...your...ass! Now hurry up Charlie, you have a match to get to. HAAS JUST SHAKES HIS HEAD AND WALKS AWAY. HE THEN ENTERS THE ARENA AS "MONEY, MONEY, MONEY" PLAYS AGAIN. Cole: "That was quite the hostile exchange there Jesse but in a few minutes, it won't be a verbal exchange, it's going to get very physical". THE CAMERA GETS A SHOT OF THE BLACK DRAGON THAT HAS ENCOMPASSED ONE HALF OF THE RING. INSIDE THE DRAGON's MOUTH HANGS THE TWF UNIVERSAL TITLE. Ventura: "Three of the toughest men PrimeTime has to offer will try to reach the gold up inside the mouth of this dragon Michael and we're starting the introductions with Charlie Haas, the man who won the Royal Rumble last year"! Cole: "Well I don't think even Dibiase's money is gonna be able to buy the Universal title like it did number twenty nine last year"! "WAITING TO DIE" BY HED HITS AND SHANE THOMPSON COMES OUT, HIS RIGHT ARM COMPLETELY BANDAGED. Ventura: "And what about this guy? You can never count him out"! Cole: "Well most people counted him out forever after his fall from the Hell in a Cell last month but remarkably, he returned to compete in the third round of the Dragon's Lair challenge and lasted fifteen minutes with Jansens"! Ventura: "And for that he deserves a ton of credit! I understand he is competing with a severely contused shoulder tonight"! Cole: "And that is the reason for the heavy bandaging but he is also competing against doctors orders in one of the most dangerous matches we've ever seen, that is what this title means folks"! "OVER MY HEAD" BY LIT STARTS UP AND BRINGS THE CROWD TO IT's FEET AS DYLAN JANSENS EMERGES FROM THE BACK IN HIS TRADEMARK "BEWARE" T-SHIRT AND PURPLE FLAMED TIGHTS. Cole: "And here comes the proud champion and listen to this place explode! One of the most honorable champions we've ever seen here in the TWF Jesse, Dylan Jansens is a huge fan favorite"! Ventura: "Well just as I predicted Cole, this Dragon's Lair challenge is gonna come back to bite Jansens in the rear"! Cole: "But you still gotta like the way he went about it. This was Jansens' way of telling the entire roster that he will defend the title anytime, anywhere, against anyone and under any circumstances"! JANSENS GETS INTO THE RING AND LOOKS UP AT THE BREATHTAKING DRAGON. Ventura: "Well if my memory serves me correctly Michael, and it usually does, Jansens lost the only Dragon's Lair match in TWF history to this point". Cole: "That was about five months ago at MeltDown but he is here tonight to face two of the toughest competitors the TWF has to offer to show everyone what kind of champion he is"! Triple Threat Dragon's Lair/TWF Universal Title Match Charlie Haas w/ Ted Dibiase vs. Shane Thompson vs. (c) Dylan Jansens As the bell rang, Thompson and Jansens continued where they left off on the last PrimeTime, trying to best each other. But while they went at it, Haas tried to climb the dragon. He only got up 1 scale before Jansens was over to pull him down. Thompson followed up with a hard shot on Jansens and then he and Haas seemed to make some sort of verbal agreement to punish the champion. After ramming Jansens into the structure of the dragon, Haas showboated a bit while Thompson took his turn crushing DJ. But again, Haas tried to sneak up, this time getting to that first platform. But he was met with a slippery oil substance and couldn't keep his footing. As he fell to the mat, Thompson gave him a weird look before just kicking him in the head, ending their union that quickly. Meanwhile, Jansens was up and he bashed Thompson with 2 right hands before whipping him right into the black monster and following uop with a running calf kick. Haas had gotten up and he grabbed Jansens around the waist, putting him down with a german suplex. Haas then went to the scales again as Thompson pushed a folded table in from under the ring. Thompson came back into the ring and Haas flew off the first scale with a cross body block on him. He then laid him on the table, looking to inflict a lot of damage. But Jansens tackled Haas to the mat before unleashing a barrage of right hands. He then went to the scales and began to climb. But Thompson followed. With both men on the second scale, they began trading punches. Jansens caught Thompson with a haymaker and threw another wild swing but Thompson ducked and delivered a backbody drop. The second scale was covered in thumb tacks and Jansens rolled over to reveal hundreds of them sticking out of his back! Jansens rolled off the second scale to the mat in extreme pain as Thompson went for a moonsault on Haas. But Haas got his knees up and may've broken some of Thompson's ribs. Dibiase's eyes lit up, knowing this was the time for Haas. He began to ascend the dragon by it's scales but a determined Jansens slowly followed. Up on the second scale, Haas kicked the remainder of the thumb tacks off and grabbed a fighting staff that was up there was well. He hit the hands of Jansens who was trying to climb up but he couldn't knock him down. Then, Dylan grabbed his foot and tripped him up, allowing himself to get to the scale. But he had to roll on his back to do so, pushing the tacks in even more. Meanwhile, Thompson was coming up and was on the first scale to watch Jansens hammer Haas over the head with the staff and Haas fell 10 feet to the mat and was rolling around in pain. Thompson got to the second scale and Jansens swung the staff. But he didn't get much on it because of the pain he himself was in and Thompson grabbed the end. Then, he swung around and whipped Jansens off the scale and he fell right through the table that was brought into the ring! "HOLY SHIT" chants befelled the crowd as Thompson reached the third large scale. Fans were on the edge of their seat as he pulled himself up and reached into the mouth and grabbed the title, pulling it out for the win. Match Time: 13:41 Cole: "I don't believe this! Shane Thompson..... Shane Thompson has won the Dragon's Lair challenge"! "WAITING TO DIE" PLAYED LOUDER THAN EVER AS THOMPSON SAT IN THE DRAGON's MOUTH, SHOWING THE TITLE TO THE 2 MEN BELOW. Ventura: "It has all paid off for Thompson! The blood, the sweat and the sacrifice have all been for this and he has reached it Cole! He has reachedt he pinnacle of the TWF"! Cole: "Dylan Jansens has to be disappointed with the way he's lost the title here but through it all, contused shoulder and everything, Shane Thompson has done it"! Ventura: "I'm gonna go ahead and put this in my top three best performances of all time Michael! That was phenomenal on Thompson's part"! DRAWING ROOM..... WITH ONLY TWO NUMBERS LEFT IN THE TUMBLER, AXL IRVIN ALLOWS TRACI BROOKS TO PICK HIS NUMBER FOR HIM. THE FANS BEGIN LOUDLY CHEERING AS TRAVIS WAKEMAN ENTERS THE ARENA, WALKING WITH A PURPOSE. Cole: "There he is! Travis Wakeman is back in the TWF"! Ventura: "He's got that last number in the Royal Rumble and he's on his way to get it"! HEADING TO THE DRAWING ROOM, WAKEMAN BLOWS RIGHT BY AXL IRVIN AND TRACI. Axl Irvin: "Hey, watch it"! WAKEMAN ENTERS THE DRAWING ROOM AND TAKES THE LAST NUMBER IN THE TUMBLER. HE TAKES A LOOK AT IT FOR A BRIEF SECOND AND THEN CRUMBLES IT UP. Cole: "Well whatever number he got, Travis Wakeman is ready". J.R.: "We're all ready for the Rumble guys but first it's our World title match and here comes the challenger"! AFTER THE LOUD MOO OF A COW, BRADSHAW's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT WEARING A COWBOY HAT AND A TOWEL AROUND HIS NECK. Lawler: "Well J.R., we have waited all night to see this one, Bradshaw sure looks confident". J.R.: "For the last several weeks, Bradshaw has attempted to show that he can outthink Drew Blood but last week, he let it get physical when he threw away a victory so he could smash the champion with the "Clothesline from Hell"! THE LIGHTS GO OUT AND THE ILLUMINATION OF BLOOD BEGINS TO DRIP FROM THE RUMBLE SET AS DREW BLOOD's ENTRANCE MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT WEARING HIS FAMILIAR BLACK CLOAK, SLOWING WALKING TO THE RING. Lawler: "You mean to tell me for one second J.R. that after what this man did in that meeting of the minds, he didn't deserve that"? J.R.: "I have never been a fan of Drew Blood. He has abilities that I have never seen anywhere else but I know what he is capable of and we've all seen how he thinks. Bradshaw says he got into his head with that clothesline but frankly King, I don't know if he really wants to do that"! Lawler: "Well if Drew Blood is thrown off his game by just a little bit, a man the caliber of Bradshaw is going to capitalize and take that belt"! TWF World Title Match Challenger: Bradshaw vs. Drew Blood Drew Blood asked referee Earl Hebner to keep Bradshaw back as he slowly removed his cloak. Bradshaw impatiently waited but when he got the cloak off, Drew threw it over Bradshaw and then teed off on him. After several shots to the body, Drew hit the ropes and nailed him with a clothesline. He hit the ropes again but Bradshaw threw the cloak off and kicked him right in the face. That led to an erray of offense that put Bradshaw on the brink of winning the title. It has been a long time, if ever, that someone has handled Drew Blood like this. After a big elbow drop, Bradshaw made the cover but only got a 2 count, his third near fall of the match. Bradshaw was frustrated with the pace of Hebner's count and asked him to speed it up. After a big suplex, Bradshaw went right into a cover but again only got a 2 count. Drew was then able to counter a back body drop off an irish whip by kicking Bradshaw in the chest. He then grabbed him around the head but Bradshaw fought him off with a back elbow before picking him up and dropping him over the top rope with a stun gun. Bradshaw immediately covered him to get the 1..........2........., but Drew was up again. Bradshaw couldn't believe it but when he got up, he saw himself in the entranceway. Once again, the symbol of Drew Blood appeared with a wax dummy on it, being held by Mordecai and Viscera at the top of the stage. Bradshaw looked spooked but he tried to get past it. But Drew was able to grab him from behind and drop him with a face first russian leg sweep, a move he has won many matches with. But he didn't go for the cover. He instead whippped Bradshaw to the corner and followed in but Bradshaw stuck a foot in his face and then set him up on the top turnbuckle. Bradshaw appeared to get over his fear as he looked right at The DeadPool before bringing Blood off with a Stock Market Crash. He then loaded up his right arm and whipped him to the ropes. But Drew avoided the "Clothesline from Hell" and kicked him in the gut. He went for the "BloodBath" but Bradshaw blocked it and tried to whip him again. Drew fought through it though and pulled Bradshaw right into a front facelock. After interlocking his arms, he then hit the "BloodBath" and rolled him over for the win. Match Time: 8:15 J.R.: "Well I'll be damned, he's done it again". HEBNER HANDED DREW THE BELT AND HE ROLLED OUT OF THE RING WITH IT, LOOKING BACK AT BRADSHAW WITH A BLOODY LIP. Lawler: "That shows you just how good this guy is J.R.! That's the worst beating I've ever seen him take, yet he's still the champ"! J.R.: "Well for not needing those guys the way he claims, I don't know if he'd be the champion without them. But King, getting past that, it is now time for our Royal Rumble match". Lawler: "And I was told before the show that I have to call this thing with Michael Cole, so I'll catch up with ya later J.R.". J.R.: "Oh I won't be far away, I'm gonna keep a close eye on this thing". AS LAWLER WALKS TO THE PRIMETIME BROADCAST TABLE, HOWARD FINKEL EXPLAINS THE RULES OF THE RUMBLE MATCH TO THE CROWD. Cole: "Well folks, it may be the most exciting match in wrestling. Thirty men, one winner. One man to headline WrestleMania six and to call the action with me, none other than Jerry Lawler". Lawler: "Well I guess if I gotta sit next to you for an hour or so, at least I'll be watching the Royal Rumble"! Cole: "Nice to see you too King". Howard Finkel: "And now..... the man who drew number one"! THERE IS A BRIEF PAUSE. "YOU THINK YOU KNOW ME" IS HEARD, LEADING INTO EDGE's MUSIC BY METALINGUS. Cole: "Well, it's a PrimeTime guy". Lawler: "Number one has never done good in this event Michael and all this does is help my promise that a Rampage superstar is gonna win this thing"! Cole: "Edge would certainly love a trip to the main event at WrestleMania but he will also be weeding through the superstars that come out, looking to get his hands on Axl Irvin". "AIN'T NO STOPPIN' ME" HITS AND SHELTON BENJAMIN RUNS DOWN THE RAMP, FULL OF ENERGY. Lawler: "Shelton Benjamin better slow it down! He's gonna have to be out here a long time if he's gonna win this thing"! Cole: "Keep in mind folks another superstar will enter the ring every ninety seconds so these two did draw bad numbers but winning the whole thing is not out of the question"! 30 Man Royal Rumble Match Edge and Shelton Benjamin started the crusade with a tie up and some basic chain wrestling, not wanting to try anything too dangerous. From a side headlock, Shelton shot Edge to the ropes and Edge hopped over him but held the ropes when Shelton went for a dropkick. He then grabbed him and tried to throw him out of the ring but Shelton blocked it as the buzzer sounded and Rhyno entered the fray. Rhyno immediately went after Edge, going to his ribs with some shots. But Benjamiin came to Edge's defense and knocked Rhyno into the corner before hitting the Stinger splash. But Edge repayed him by putting him down with a spear and then tried to eliminate him again but Shelton held the bottom rope and rolled back in from the apron. The next man in the ring was former winner Rob Van Dam and this got the crowd's interest way up. ASt first, it looked as though RVD and Rhyno were gonna square off but instead they turned with simultaneous clotheslines, Edge being dropped by Rhyno and Benjamin by Van Dam. RVD then hit a spinning legdrop on Shelton as Rhyno drove his shoulders into the gut of Edge in the corner. The buzzer sounded for #5 to come out and Garrison Cade, one of the last men to qualify was in. His tall frame gave him an advantage over everyone in the ring and he hit RVD and Rhyno with some back elbows before clotheslining Shelton in the corner. He then loaded RVD up for a bulldog but RVD pushed him off, right into a wheel kick from Edge. Edge then tried to muscle the young Cade over the top rope but Cade mule kicked him and threw him out, making him the first elimination. While Edge was being put out, #6 came out and it was Austin Pyromania. Pyro pretty much sat back and watched the action and was in no hurry to get into it. RVD and Rhyno continued to wear each other down as Shelton and Cade went at it. Finally, Pyromania jumped into the action after Cade went down with a dragon whip kick and he took Shelton out with a chop block. Pyro then focused on the right leg of Shelton. The buzzer again sounded to bring out the seventh entry and it was the King of Cable Joe Corey. Corey came in and went right after Benjamin, helping Pyro which befuddled the fans. On the other side of the ring, Rhyno just fought off RVD and Cade charged in, looking to clothesline him out. But Rhyno backdropped him over the top rope and to the floor. Benjamin began coming back, fighting off both Corey and Pyromania and he knocked Corey to the mat with a sharp kick to the stomach. He then threw a kick at Pyro but was way off and Pyro powered him over the top rope. Numbers 8 and 9, Justin Sane and Mike Austin had come out. Austin seemed very confident as he mowed down everyone in the ring. He then stood across from Sane and the fight was on. Sane got the better of him until Corey took him out with a back footsweep. Austin was then in the right place at the right time, combining with Rhyno to throw RVD out of the ring. And just as Rob Storm became the 10th superstar to join the fray, Mike Austin caught Rhyno napping and he dumped him out. The friendship between Corey and Pyromania was short lived as they were beating the hell out of each other on one side of the ring as Storm joined Sane in trying to get Austin out. Bahamut was next to get involved, the first big man in the match. The other 5 quickly took notice and tried to gang up on him. Bahamut initially fought off both Storm and Sane but fell to another Corey-Pyromania union. They went for a double suplex but Bah blocked it and tossed Corey aside before rocking Pyro with a headbutt. Mike Austin jumped up on his back but Pyro just fell straight back. Pyro and Corey were both back up and they roughed Bah up with some more shots. But then, Bahamut went for a double elimination by backdropping them both. Pyro was lucky enough to land on the apron but Corey had nowhere to go and was eliminated. Pyro fought his way back into the match as Rome came out at #12. And just seconds later, we saw two eliminations within seconds of each other. After being pounded by Rome, Bahamut was dropkicked out of the ring by Pyromania and Justin Sane was eliminated by the efforts of Rob Storm and Mike Austin. Austin then got up in Rome's face but Rome pie faced him and then kicked Pyro, benchpressing him over his head. He was ready to throw him out but Austin dropkicked him in the back of the knee. Mike Austin and Pyromania then ran over Storm with a double clothesline as the Hardcore champ Nails came out. Nails had brass knucks on his head and he hit all 4 men, knocking them cold. But Rome popped up fairly quickly and tackled the hardcore champion, headbutting him while on the ground. He then stood over him and pummeled him with some Tazz-like swinging forearms to the head. Jason Tiger Oliver came in at #14 and High Octane #15 as the ring began to fill. But an impressive run ended for Mike Austin when Rome lifted him over his head and just tossed him to the floor. Austin was very upset, trying to get back in the ring but the referees outside stopped him. Rome then turned his attention to Rob Storm, tossing him out by the back of his head. Oliver and Nails smashed Rome from behind as Pyromania and High Octane waited for the entrance of Luther Reigns. Luther did his best to fight them off but they took the big man down. However from behind, Oliver ran up and threw Pyromania out of the ring after a good stay in it. Octane immediately went after Oliver as Nails and Reigns took down the seemingly unstoppable Rome. A little past the halfway point, Sam Wilde got into the ring and jumped right into the action. And even Luther and Nails couldn't slow Rome down as he fought through them and smashed Oliver with a clothesline that knocked him over the top rope. Sylvan Grenier came out just as Luther turned on Nails and threw him over the top rope before going back after Rome. Grenier and Luther both hammered Rome and they were finally starting to slow him. High Octane and Wilde were also taking turns trying to get each other out but the time just passed until #19's number was called...... Batista. The man many thought would win it had entered the ring and drilled High Octane and Wilde upon coming in. Rome put Luther down with a belly to belly and Batista kicked Grenier in the side of the head. Everyone was on their feet as Batista and Rome stood across the ring from each other.... staring. Batista threw a right hand that connected but Rome came back with one of his own. After another trade off, Batista got in a knee lift and clubbed Rome over the chest, knocking him to the mat. Luther tried to take on Batista and he poked him in the eye. Luther then began to badmouth the monster but didn't watch his back and the much smaller Grenier was able to push him out of the ring and to the floor. Batista got up just in time to catch Octane and put him down with a ring shaking spinebuster, making him easy pickings for the next elimination as Carlito Cool joined the bunch. Rome and Batista went back at it, although not at the same pace as Wilde tried to get Grenier out. Carlito joined in trying to help Grenier but everyone in the ring froze when "Make Way" played to bring Travis Wakeman to the ring. Wakeman was totally untouchable as he hit the ring and he took everyone down with hard clotheslines. Batista got a kick in on him and then hit the ropes but Wakeman drilled him with a right hand that sent spit flying from his mouth and Wakeman then clotheslined him out of the ring to get even more revenge for their past. Rome and Wakeman then teamed up to take down Grenier and Carlito but Wilde came off the top rope with a missile dropkick on Rome and Carlito then got up and lowbridged the ropes, sending Rome flying to the floor. Wilde then grabbed Grenier by the back of the head and tossed him out as Chris Tirpak came out. Tirpak was attacked in the aisle by his former tag team partner Rick Clark who had a steel chair. Clark got in some serious shots before referees forced him to the back. Strife, Axl Irvin and Chaos Wolf all came out to fill numbers 23, 24 and 25. Wolf stopped in the aisle though to help Tirpak. Tirpak wanted badly to come to the ring and Wolf tried to convince him not to, but he couldn't. The ring was full of fresh bodies. Wakeman was still a house of fire, hitting anything that moved. Axl Irvin tried hard to get him out but Wakeman picked him up and just slammed him to the mat with a 1 handed spinebuster. Chaos Wolf was almost protecting Tirpak, who was still trying to recover from the chair shots. After Wakeman delivered an inverted atomic drop to Carlito, a clothesline by Strife took him out. But then, Wakeman tried to dump Strife out. Axl Irvin was able to eliminate Sam Wilde just as Eddie Guerrero came in at #26. Strife was now in position to eliminate Wakeman but Eddie came and jumped on the back of the Locomotive. Wakeman got in a few shots to Strife and Eddie then dropped off him, going into his little dance. But Wakeman knocked him down too when he turned his back. The lights then went out and a bell tolled. The lights came back on to find The Undertaker in the ring. Strife was arguing with the referees that he had thrown Tirpak out when the lights went out. But while he was, Chaos Wolf came from behind with a dropkick that put him out and was maybe the biggest elimination to the point. But before the lights went out, it was shown on replay that Strife did eliminate Axl Irvin. Wakeman then got up in Tirpak's face, shoving him into the corner. Tirpak shoved back but Wakeman moved even farther, avoiding a clothesline from Chaos Wolf that ended up eliminating Tirpak. Wolf was very upset with himself as John Cena made his way out at #28. Wakeman tried to dump Wolf out but Cena came from behind to prevent that. The fight continued and Shawn Michaels came out followed by the man who drew the last number and was runner-up last year, Kurt Angle. Michaels quickly eliminated Eddie Guerrero with his superkick but it was The Undertaker who was on the warpath. Only 5 men remained and it was anyone's to win. Wakeman raked the Undertaker's face, trying to slow him down. But Taker removed the one of the turnbuckle pads before clotheslining Michaels over the top rope. He then grabbed Wakeman, taking him away from a fight with Cena and rammed him into the exposed turnbuckle 5 times. He then threw him over the top rope before disposing of the Olympic champion after countering the Angle Slam! Fans were stunned as the last two men in the match stood face to face..... Taker and the Dr. of Thuganomics. Cena couldn't do anything to phase the deadman, who stood poised to take his 3rd Royal Rumble. Cena tried to get Taker up for the "F-U" after a flying shoulder tackle but Taker slipped off and hit him with a chokeslam.
