Michael Cole:"The holidays are behind us and the new year is on the horizon and Coach, we are just days away from War in the Winter and it has been learned that Val Venis will defend the TWF Title at War in the Winter against Triple H but there's a catch".
Jonathan Coachman:"That's right Michael, not only will Triple H have a chance to once again become TWF champion, but he'll have his good friends Scott Hall and Kevin Nash at ringside as special enforcers to make sure it stays clean".
Cole:"We can also tell you that Vince McMahon and Wally Willson are furious that this match will go down and are looking for any means available to vacate the match"!
Cammie Copeland and Faith vs. Terri Gold and Tiana Taylor Terri Gold and Tiana Taylor looked sharp as they dominated the Women's champ for almost 10 minutes. But Gold missed a top rope moonsault and Cammie tagged in Faith who came in and took on both women. After backdropping Gold out of the ring, she hit Taylor with a jackhammer suplex to get the win and bail her team out of a tough match. Match Time: 12:26 THE NWO THEME HITS AND VINCE AND WALLY LEAD THEIR ENTIRE GROUP TO THE RING. VINCE AND WALLY BOTH GRAB MICROPHONES. Vince McMahon:"Well, well, well. Triple H, you're threat was a valid one, I'll give ya that. And hell, maybe I should have taken you a little more seriously. But Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, you two have caused nothing but problems for me in the past and I'll tell ya this, by allying yourself with Triple H, you two have committed career suicide. Now then, the new year is right around the corner and although this might make some of you fans a little angry, I'll tell ya this. If you're not a fan of the NWO and the way we conduct business, you might as well not even flip to our station anymore because we aren't gonna be playing around in 2002. What are your thoughts heading into this big match"? Drew Blood:"Lilian, Rhyno may be a tough man, but he doesn't know anything about the dark side of the world, which I revel in. Rhyno, what you have in size and power, you lack in mental appititude. I have come this far in one year in this business because of my mental strength, not my physical abilities. I want you to keep that in mind Rhyno". Coachman:"What the heck is Drew Blood talking about"? "LATINO HEAT" HITS AS EDDIE GUERRERO COMES OUT TO A CHORUS OF BOOS. Cole:"Who knows but right now fans, two men who will take part in the first ever New Years battle royale will go one on one here and this man got in after a talk with the leaders of the NWO, Vince and Wally, and I'm almost afraid to hear what his resolution would be if he were to win". "SYMPHONY OF DESTRUCTION" BY MEGADEATH HITS AS NEMESIS COMES DOWN THE AISLE. Coachman:"Keep in mind that it will be a resolution as it pertains to the best interests of the TWF". Cole:"Well on a side note fans, we saw Kane receive a mysterious note on RAW last week and subsequentially, Kane has withdrawn from the battle royale". Eddie Guerrero vs. Nemesis This was a very exciting match as Guerrero fought an uphill battle against the much bigger Nemesis. But Eddie's cunning quickness and veteran knowledge were a great combination as he took the fight to the former biochemist. Eddie attacked Nemesis' lower extremities thouroughly before a well placed dropkick knocked him down. Guerrero then went to the top rope but when he jumped off, Nemesis caught him with a hand around the throat and chokeslammed him hard to the mat. That led to the "Destructor" for the 1....2....3. Match Time: 7:18 Cole:"Nemesis has grabbed a ton of momentum heading into the battle royale Coach and I gotta consider him one of the favorites to win it". Coachman:"Eddie Guerrero's been on a roll lately and that makes that an even bigger win for Nemesis". "THE KINGS" BY RUN DMC HITS AS CHUCK PALUMBO HEADS TO THE RING AND FOOTAGE OF THE STRIFE-SEAN O'HAIRE MATCH FROM RAW IS SHOWN. Cole:"Chuck Palumbo and Sean O'haire will challenge Bahamut and Strife for the tag team titles at War in the Winter and Palumbo and O'haire already holds a 1-0 lead in singles competition". "WHATEVER" BY GODSMACK HITS AS BAHAMUT COMES OUT TO A HUGE RESPONSE FROM THE CROWD. Coachman:"That's true Michael but that was a somewhat tainted victory and it looks like Bahamut wants to correct that here tonight". Chuck Palumbo vs. Bahamut This one was over quick as Bahamut fought with a never before seen anger. After taking a few stiff right hands, Bahamut ducked a superkick attempt and caught Palumbo with a boot as he bounced off the ropes. That led to a reverse sambo suplex and a 2 and a half count. Palumbo staggered to his feet but Bahamut hooked him into a running powerbomb to put him away. Match Time: 2:08 Cole:"Wow, total domination by Bahamut". Coachman:"Palumbo and O'haire better hope they fare better than that in the tag match at War in the Winter"! COMMERCIAL BREAK.... RETURN FROM BREAK.... VINCE AND WALLY's OFFICE.... VINCE AND WALLY ARE SITTING WITH WILLIAM REGAL. Vince:"William, I must say that the effort you gave against Triple H on RAW was superb". William Regal:"Well thank you Mr. McMahon and I can assure you that those miserable creatures Hall and Nash are not gonna run roughshod in the TWF". Wally:"That's exactly why we're pullin' for you to win the New Years Battle Royale Regal, it's that attitude that we need to have provide a great resolution for this company in 2002". Regal:"I'll do my best". CAMERAS FOLLOW AHMED WALKER WHO ENTERS THE DESIGNATED BAR CALLED "THE BREAK". AS HE COMES IN, HE IS ATTACKED FROM BEHIND WITH A POOL CUE BY HELLS ANGEL AND THE FIGHT IS ON. TWF Hardcore Title/Bar Room Brawl Challenger... Hells Angel vs. Ahmed Walker After the shot with the pool cue, Hells Angel was in total control. But in a brutal fight, Walker held his own. After hitting Hells Angel with a hard right hand, Walker caught him charging in with a hip toss onto a pool table. He then got on the table and swung a ceiling light into his face. Walker covered him but only got a 2 count. Hells Angel then took an empty beer bottle and crushed it over Walker's head. Hells Angel then removed his trench coat, revealing an NWO t-shirt. The bar patrons, obviously anti-NWO, took a look at each other and then jumped Hells Angel! Amidst all the chaos, Walker grabbed the Hardcore belt and left the bar. Hells Angel fought off all the men who attacked him, crushing a wooden stool over one man's head. He then exited the bar in time to see Walker leaving in a car driven by Nemesis. Cole:"The NWO's been outsmarted here Coach"! Coachman:"And that was also great evidence of just how hated the NWO is"! COMMERCIAL.... RETURN FROM BREAK.... THE NWO THEME IS PLAYING AND THE TEAM OF VAL VENIS AND SHAWN MICHAELS ARE IN THE RING AS "NEVER GONNA STOP" BY ROB ZOMBIE HITS AND EDGE COMES OUT TO A GREAT POP. Cole:"Back on Free 4 All folks and what a tag team main event this is gonna be"! Coachman:"We just wanna take this time to say to any TWF fans that haven't already ordered War in the Winter, it's simple, pick up the phone, call your local cable company and tell them that you wanna see this great event"! "IF YA SMELL....WHAT THE ROCK....IS COOKIN'" HITS AS THE ROCK COMES DOWN THE AISLE. HE AND EDGE STAND SIDE BY SIDE, LOOK AT EACH OTHER AND CHARGE THE RING. The Rock and Edge vs. Val Venis and Shawn Michaels The Rock and Venis exchanged blows as Edge and Michaels traded shots. After The Rock used a hard right hand to send Venis out of the ring, Edge used a high back body drop on HBK. Edge and HBK had a riveting series in the ring before Christian and Travis Wakeman came out. Wakeman pulled The Rock off the apron and whipped him hard into the steel ring steps. Christian distracted Edge momentarily and when Edge turned around, he was caught by HBK's "Sweet Chin Music" and pinned. But after the match, Triple H ran down to the ring with Hall and Nash. Hall clotheslined both Michaels and Venis out of the ring as Nash slammed Christian with the Jacknife. The Rock then picked Wakeman up and delivered "The Rock Bottom". The Rock then stood over Wakeman, staring down at him. Match Time: 14:26 Cole:"What a way to head into War in the Winter"! Coachman:"You got that right Michael, who is the better brother, who will say I Quit and will Triple H overcome Val Venis with the Outsiders watching his back"? OFF AIR...
