Michael Cole:"Hello fans and welcome to the United Center, site of this years King of the Ring and Kevin, once again we saw the footage of Linda McMahon's opponents for the alliance being announced"! Kevin Kelly:"I've seen it tons of times Michael and I still can't believe it"! THE BRUTILE BULLDOG's MUSIC HITS; HE COMES OUT WITH TERRI. Cole:"We've got some great matches tonight including the Queen of the Ring final and the Women's title will be on the line as well! But right now, we've got hardcore action"! RAVEN's MUSIC HITS; HE COMES OUT WHEELING A SHOPPING CART FULL OF WEAPONS TO THE RING. Kelly:"Both these men would love to be Hardcore champion and a winn here would go a long way towards earning a shot". Hardcore Rules The Brutile Bulldog vs. Raven This was a hardcore war as 2 men that have had differences in the past went at it. Raven took control early with a kick to the shin and a drop toe hold onto a steel chair. But the tide quickly turned when the Bulldog smashed him over the head with a kendo stick. After beating Raven senseless with the kendo stick, the Bulldog scored with a clothesline off the top rope. He then got him up on his shoulders but Raven slipped off and dropped him with a russian leg sweep. But when Raven came off the ropes, the Bulldog slammed a steel chair in his face. He then took a long chain out of his pants, put it around Raven's neck and tied him to the post. With Raven immobile, the Bulldog went and grabbed a glass picture full of water and broke it over Raven's head, causing him to bleed and subsequently getting the win. Match Time: 8:30 Cole:"Hope you weren't thirsty Kevin". Kelly:"Actually I was but the Brutile Bulldog's picked up a huge victory none the less". "I AM" BY EMINEM HITS AS MIKE NORTON AND TEST COME OUT. NORTON IS ARM AND ARM WITH SPICE. Cole:"We've got tag team action next here on Free 4 All as members of the Reluctance of Society head to the ring". "THE KINGS" BY RUN DMC HITS AS SHAWN O'HAIRE AND CHUCK PALUMBO COME OUT TO A GOOD REACTION. Kelly:"Well they will be tested by the Natural Born Thrillers here and by the way, the leader of the New Breed, jordan Rockwell is still alive in the King of the Ring tournament". KOTR BRACKET IS BRIEFLY SHOWN. Cole:"Also tonight Kevin, our production staff has dug up some old tapes and we will have classic footage of all five men who Linda McMahon selected to face the alliance at King of the Ring"! Mike Norton and Test vs. The Natural Born Thrillers This was a great tag team match which could've gone either way. Palumbo and Norton opened the match with a great, competitive series before each man tagged out. O'haire got the better of Test early, gaining control with a big hook kick. Palumbo and O'haire made several exchanges and controlled the whole match, not allowing Test to make the tag. Suddenly Norton ran around the outside of the ring and pulled Palumbo off the apron. When Palumbo tried to retaliate, referee Chad Patton cut him off. This allowed Norton to enter the ring and deliver the "Bankruptcy" to O'haire. Right when O'haire recovered, Test blasted him with the running boot to get the win. Match Time: 15:20 Cole:"Mike Norton and Test have just taken one from right underneath the Thrillers"! Kelly:"Chad Patton was not paying attention to what was going on in the ring and Norton took advantage of it". PRIOR TO COMMERCIAL...CLASSIC FOOTAGE..... FOOTAGE OF "SUPERFLY" JIMMY SNUKA LEAPING FROM THE TOP OF A STEEL CAGE AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN IS SHOWN. COMMERCIAL.... KING OF THE RING 2K1 PROMO IS SHOWN. RETURN FROM BREAK..... CLASSIC FOOTAGE.... FOOTAGE OF TATANKA FACING SHAWN MICHAELS AT WRESTLEMANIA IN LAS VEGAS IS SHOWN. "TRUST" BY MEGADEATH HITS AS DR. WILLIAM REGAL SLOWLY APPROACHES THE RING. Cole:"Some of that classic footage just sends chills up my spine Kevin". Kelly:"That it does Michael but this man here has been chilling the entire United States of late and hopefully he'll be stopped tonight". THE HARDCORE PATRIOT's MUSIC HITS. Cole:"Two seven footers are gonna do battle and a lot of pride is at stake here"! Dr. William Birkin vs. The Hardcore Patriot This was definitely the best match all night and maybe the best match all month. The 2 masked 7 footers battle in a seesaw match that the crowd was geared up for. Birkin attacked the Patriot from behind before the bell rang and had things under control until the Patriot hit him with a spinebuster. The Patriot had things going his way and moments later, delivered his "Ride of Shame" but Birkin got his foot on the bottom rope after a 1 count. Birkin looked sure to lose until he used a go behind and clotheslined the Patriot in the back of the head. The fight went back and forth for several more minutes until Birkin caught the Patriot with a running boot after ducking a clothesline. He followed that with his devastating "Destructor" and got the pin. Match Time: 9:37 AFTER THE MATCH, BIRKIN TOOK THE PATRIOT's AMERICAN FLAG AND LIT A MATCH. Kelly:"What's he doin'"? HE WAS ABOUT TO SET IT ON FIRE WHEN NONE OTHER THAN HACKSAW JIM DUGGAN CAME OUT OF THE CROWD AND RAN HIM OVER WITH THE 3 POINT STANCE CLOTHESLINE. DUGGAN THAN GRABBED THE FLAG AND WAVED IT AS THE CROWD CHANTED "USA! USA! USA"! Cole:"Hacksaw Jim Duggan has come to the aid of the United States"! Kelly:"Well it is time for the Old School Explosion Michael and this could be Linda's doing as well"! TIANA TAYLOR's MUSIC HITS. Cole:"It's time for the Queen of the Ring finals as the undefeated Tiana Taylor comes to the ring". JESSICA LOPEZ' MUSIC HITS. Kelly:"Both these women have wrestled two good opponents to get here and the winner will leave the first ever Queen of the Ring"! Queen of the Ring Final Tiana Taylor vs. Jessica Lopez This was an abrupt QOTR tournament. Lopez came out aggressive and hit Taylor with a head scissors takedown and a dragon leg whip. But Taylor came back with a dropkick to the chest and a nice footsweep. Taylor then tossed Lopez over the top rope by her hair. Outside the ring, Taylor used a huge knee lift into Lopez' abdomen and slid into the ring as referee Teddy Long reached a 7 count. Lopez apparently had the wind knocked out of her and could hardly move. She was unable to beat the count back into the ring and Taylor was declared the winner. Match Time: 2:47 A MAN DRESSED IN A BLACK TUXEDO COMES DOWN THE AISLE WITH A CROWN ON A PILLOW. HE PRESENTS THE CROWN TO TAYLOR WHO PUTS IT ON AS THE CROWD GIVES HER A HUGE OVATION. Kelly:"This has to be a great moment for Tiana Taylor. She had a rough childhood growing up in Venezuela but I think she just made everybody back there very proud"! PRIOR TO COMMERCIAL..... CLASSIC FOOTAGE.... FOOTAGE OF MR. PERFECT PINNING TITO SANTANA TO WIN THE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE IN 1989 IS SHOWN. COMMERCIAL.... A PREVIEW FOR THE MOVIE "THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS" IS SHOWN. RETURN FROM BREAK..... FOOTAGE IS SHOWN OF JESSE "THE BODY" VENTURA WEARING LAVISH OUTFITS AND DOING COMMENTARY ALONGSIDE GORILLA MONSOON. COBRA's MUSIC HITS. Cole:"I gotta say this Kevin, that Jesse Ventura was the biggest surprise of Linda's picks in my opinion". Kelly:"I'd agree with that, but right now we're gonna see a match between two guys whose problems with one another have boiled over in the last few weeks". "WHATEVER" BY GODSMACK HITS AS BAHAMUT COMES OUT. Cole:"These two have a previous history in Japan where Bahamut put Cobra in a hospital rehabbing for over a year after a match. That is the reason for Cobra coming back for revenge and his recent attacks on Bahamut". No Holds Barred Cobra vs. Bahamut This was an all out blood bath between two men that hated one another. It was the aggressive style of Cobra that took things to Bahamut early, busting him open with a 2x4 wrapped in barbed wire. But after a shot with the ring bell and a steel chair, Bahamut hit Cobra in the abdomen with a sledge hammer. But Cobra lowblowed him and pulled out a nightstick, which he ruthlessly beat Bahamut with. Cobra had things in his favor until Bahamut hit him with a big german suplex. He then tore the barbed wire off the 2x4 and grinded it across Cobra's face, staining the mat with blood. Bahamut then went to the corner and grabbed a bag. He began to pour it out and hundreds of thumb tacks littered the ring. Bahamut grabbed a beaten Cobra and delivered the "Crusher" onto the tacks and covered him for the pin. Match Time: 12:33 Cole:"Are there really any winners here"? Kelly:"Well Bahamut has survived this one but he'll feel it in the morning. As for Cobra, it looks as if he's gonna need stitches"! CLASSIC FOOTAGE FOOTAGE IS SHOWN OF BRET HART DEFEATING MR. PERFECT TO WIN THE IC TITLE, WINNING KOTR IN 1993 AND ALL 5 OF HIS WWF TITLE WINS. THE LAST PIECE OF FOOTAGE IS OF VINCE McMAHON's INFAMOUS SCREW JOB AT SURVIVOR SERIES '97 IN MONTREAL. Cole:"Kevin, that last piece of footage has got to be the fuel to Bret's fire for coming back to wrestling". CHYNA's MUSIC HITS AS SHE COMES OUT TO A HUGE POP. Kelly:"It's reason to for sure and what better way to stick it to Vince than to take the title from Austin"? XSTASY's MUSIC HITS AS FOOTAGE OF HER RECENT ATTACKS ON CHYNA ARE SHOWN. Cole:"Well here comes the Women's champion and Chyna has made it clear that she could care less about the title, she just wants to teach Xstasy a lesson"! TWF Women's title match Challenger... Chyna vs. Xstasy Many were surprised as Xstasy took the fight to Chyna. Had the 9th wonder of the world finally met her match? Xstasy used thumbs to the eyes and a double stomp to the chest with her spiked heels. Chyna was taking a taking a thorough beating until she caught Xstasy with a huge clothesline. She then set her on the top ropes backwards and began to climb up. But Xstasy back elbowed her in the mouth and came off with another double stomp to the chest! She then hit Chyna with the "Bad Trip" but Chyna had enough left in the tank to kick out! A determined Chyna got up and clotheslined Xstasy 3 times and then went for a powerbomb. But Xstasy countered with a backdrop. As Chyna got to her feet, Xstasy charged her but Chyna sidestepped her and somehow caught her with a sleeper drop. Chyna hooked the leg as the crowd chanted in unison 1-2-3! Match Time: 8:27 CHYNA WAS AWARDED THE BELT AS THE FANS GAVE HER A STANDING OVATION. Kelly:"Chyna is the new Women's champion! Is there a female on the roster who stop her"? Cole:"What a night it's been here for Free 4 All! Fans, the United Center is sold out!
