THE SHOT OPENS INSIDE THE TWF LIVEWIRE INN WHERE A BIG WRESTLEMANIA V BANNER HANGS OVER THE RING INSIDE THE FACILITY.
THE CAMERA MOVES TO SHOW THE PORTRAITS OR AN ERRAY OF TWF SUPERSTARS HANGING BEFORE IT RESTS, SHOWING THE HONKY TONK MAN AND TODD GRISHAM SITTING AT THE BAR, WHICH ALSO HAS THE WRESTLEMANIA V LOGO ON IT.
Todd Grisham: "Hello everyone and welcome to this special edition of TWF programming, I'm Todd Grisham and this is the Honky Tonk Man.
HONKY TONK IS EATING A CHICKEN WING.
Tonight, it's all about the fifth annual WrestleMania and this years event comes to you live and only on pay-per-view from the SkyDome in Toronto".
Honky Tonk Man: "But right here tonight, you have switched that tv to the right place because we are gonna set your plate for WrestleMania, right here".
Grisham: "But first, we're gonna send you out live to the SaddleDome in Calgary where some of the TWF superstars are stationed for action.... let's go out there now".
THE SHOT GOES TO THE SADDLEDOME WHERE RAVEN IS COMING TO THE RING TO A LOT OF BOOS AS "END OF EVERYTHING" BY STEREOMUD PLAYS. AFTER HE GETS INTO THE RING, THE PATRIOTIC THEME OF RICK PERFECT PLAYS AND HE COMES OUT TO A GOOD POP. BOTH SUPERSTARS CIRCLE EACH OTHER AS THE BELL SOUNDS. Raven vs. Rick Perfect From a collar and elbow tie, Perfect used a go behind and then ducked a back elbow to hit an inverted atomic drop. He then got the pace going by bouncing off the ropes and clotheslining Raven. Raven exited the ring to regroup which the crowd really got on him for. When he got back into the ring, they locked up again and this time, Raven was able to get in a big knee to the gut followed by a nice suplex. But when he picked him up for a standing snap mare, Perfect pushed him to the corner. He followed in but Raven stuck a boot in his face and put him down with an impressive bulldog. Back and forth the match went until Raven whipped him to the ropes but Perfect picked him up in position for a powerbomb after Raven dipped his head too soon. But instead of a powerbomb, he delivered a Canadian backbreaker. Suddenly, the God of War Aries made his way to the ring. It looked like he was on the side of Raven, despite what he did to him on PrimeTime. But as he and Perfect just stared at one another, Chris Tirpak came out, toting a 2x4 and smacked Aries across the back with it. Referee Mike Enos became distracted by this and tried to yell for the two men to break it up. In the ring, Perfect turned to pull Raven up but Raven snuck in a low blow and then spiked him into the mat with the "Raven Effect", hooking both legs for the 3 count. Match Time: 8:21 AFTER THE MATCH, TIRPAK SLID INTO THE RING TO CHECK ON PERFECT AS ARIES USED THE APRON TO PULL HIMSELF UP. BUT AS HE WALKED UP THE RAMP, RAVEN JUST GAWKED AT ARIES WITH A GRIN ON HIS FACE AS "END OF EVERYTHING" PLAYED. TWF LIVEWIRE INN Grisham: "Hard fought match by both men Honky but what is going on between Raven and Aries"? HTM: "That's hard to say, they were understanding each other until Aries attacked Raven after handing him the invitation on PrimeTime". Grisham: "The invitation that the Honky Tonk Man is referring to is the one Raven received to compete in the Hardcore Invitational at WrestleMania. THE PROMO GRAPHIC FOR THAT MATCH, FEATURING ALL 12 MEN INVOLVED, IS SHOWN. That's right, back by popular demand is Hardcore wrestling and at WrestleMania, one of these twelve men will receive the old Hardcore title". HTM: "Any of these guys could win it, I mean, you got Raven, Aries and Tirpak in there". Grisham: "Not only that, but two former Hardcore champions from years ago have been invited, Al Snow and Steve Blackman". HTM: "Well what I wanna see is how these guys from the M.O.W. fair in it". Grisham: "The Brazilian Nightmare and Sadist, two men who wreaked havoc on the M.O.W. before it's purchase have also been invited and not only that Honky, but this is actually an interpromotional match in which whoever wins the match will not only win the title for himself, but also his brand". HTM: "And the kicker here is the unique format of the match. It will start with two men and every two minutes, one more man will enter, but with him, will come the weapon of his choice". Grisham: "That's right folks, every two minutes, a new superstar will be introduced in the match but so will a new, career threatening weapon. It could be Nails' fire poker or it could be Johnny Stamboli bringing out a pair of handcuffs. Anything goes in this one". HTM: "And who knows what kinds of things these M.O.W. guys are gonna have"! Grisham: "Another recently signed match to take place will pit La Resistance against Eddie and Chavo Guerrero with the RAW Tag team gold on the line and Honky, this will be the third time these two teams have met on pay-per-view". HTM: "It sure will be and Los Guerreros have won the previous two battles but the difference this time will be, no William Regal. La Resistance is under it's own guidance and I think they will get the Guerreros this time". Grisham: "It's a tough call, but have any two men ever recovered to form a stronger team than Eddie and Chavo? Also at WrestleMania, the match that in my opinion will steal the show, Ulitmo Dragon defends his Lightheavyweight title against Rey Mysterio". HTM: "Well first of all, I don't agree with this match because Shane McMahon gave Rey too many oppurtunities to get into the match, Essa Rios got robbed of the oppurtunity". Grisham: "Well nonetheless, it will pit two of the most talented wrestlers in all of the world against one another, two wrestlers who are good friends and two wrestlers that know each other well". HTM: "Ultimo Dragon has been as hot as anyone on PrimeTime, it's tough to pick against him". Grisham: "Folks, we have lots more to cover tonight so don't go away, we're coming right back". BACK AT THE SADDLEDOME..... A LIMOSINE PULLS UP AND PARKS. OUT STEPS RANDY ORTON, BATISTA, RIC FLAIR AND SABLE WHO ARE ALL DRESSED VERY CLASSY. Randy Orton: "Let's go get this done.... Calgary's got some great places we gotta hit". COMMERCIAL BREAK.......... A COMMERCIAL FOR UPS IS SHOWN FOLLOWED BY ONE FOR DRAKENGARD FOR PS2. WRESTLEMANIA REPLAY WRESTLEMANIA 2: SHOWS TRIPLE H DEFEATING HULK HOGAN WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM STEPHANIE McMAHON AND A HOOK OF THE TIGHTS. Grisham: "We're back on the WrestleMania special and you just saw it, yes, Triple H has a WrestleMania victory over Hulk Hogan. But Honky, is he about to face his greatest WrestleMania challenge in under one week"? HTM: "Without question. Strife defeated The Undertaker last year to win the World title and has an outstanding track record at this event. Even though he is one of my favorites, the game has a tough task ahead". Grisham: "They will meet after Triple H claimed he's beaten everyone on the roster. Well, he's never faced the Locomotive". BACK AT THE SADDLEDOME...... THE ENTORAGE OF RANDY ORTON, RIC FLAIR, BATISTA AND SABLE ARE IN THE RING, BEING LOUDLY BOOED. ORTON HAS THE MIC. Randy Orton: "Ya know, we have a busy night planned, so we need you people to shut up so we can make an announcement. THEY START TO BOO LOUDER. It seems that WrestleMania is just around the corner and we......we don't have a match. Well it's not gonna be that way for long, so Batista and I put our heads together and thought about who's ass we need to kick the most". Ric Flair: "Bahamut.....Benoit.....you boys have been giving these two thoroughbreads problems for weeks and on the grandest stage of them all.....Batista and the Natural Randy Orton are gonna kick your asses! Wooooooooo"! Batista: "Bahamut, you made a big mistake when you listened to RVD and did what these fans wanted you to do. It's guys like you who never go anywhere in this business and it's because they give a damn about these people"! THE BOOS GET LOUDER Orton: "Now I know you guys probably don't wanna face us and quite frankly, we don't blame you. But it's either that, or you watch WrestleMania from the dressing room and we don't wanna do that"! Flair: "We're gonna be out hitting the town the only way we now how, but someone will give you chumps the message! We'll be waiting to hear from you......woooooo"! THE SHOT GOES BACK TO THE LIVEWIRE. Grisham: "So a challenge has been laid down and if I were a betting man, I'd say Bahamut and Chris Benoit take em up on that". HTM: "Well they might, but I don't think they should". Grisham: "Well let's talk about another challenge that was made, one that some say was unnecessary". HTM: "Right, Joe Corey had the number one contendership which he won and he had the right to face John Cena for the King of Cable but Todd, I like the move. Corey wants to beat anyone in his way, not just one man. He wants to be the man". Grisham: "And also in his way have been Austin Pyromania and Taylor Made so this match has been turned into a fatal four way and Honky, the first man to score a decision will walk out the King of Cable". HTM: "We're gonna find out who the best man is, once and for all. These for men have been stuck in a battle for months that involves women, title belts and twisted friendships but at WrestleMania, it'll all come to a head". Grisham: "Well speaking of another twisted friendship, what about the so called friendship Gail Kim and Alex Miran had? They're in Calgary ready to go at it for the Women's title". CALGARY..... "GET THE PARTY STARTED" BY PINK IS PLAYING AND ALEX MIRAN IS IN THE RING, GOING THROUGH HER PRE-MATCH RITUAL. JUST THEN, GAIL KIM's MUSIC HITS AND SHE IS NOT TOO WELL RECEIVED BY THE CANADIAN FANS, EVEN THOUGH SHE IS FROM TORONTO HERSELF. TWF Women's Title Match Challenger: Alex Miran vs. Gail Kim As the bell sounded, a fiery Miran showed a side to her we haven't seen before, looking to hurt Gail Kim. Gail did her best to defend the shots and get out of the way as referee Jack Doan tried to get some order. As he did, Gail got in a slick kick to the stomach before hitting a swinging neckbreaker after bouncing off the ropes. After a scoop slam, Gail went to the apron, looking to shoot herself in with a legdrop but Alex rolled out of the way. She got up and yelled for Kim to do the same, hitting a snap suplex when she did. Alex then whipped her to the ropes and nailed a hip toss takedown into a cover for a 1.........2......, but Gail was up. After a snap mare, Alex pulled her to her feet and bounced off the ropes but Gail caught her with a flapjack. She then shot her to the corner and charged in but Alex got her with a back elbow before a nice headscissor takedown. She hooked the leg following the move and got 1.......2......., but Gail was up again. Alex delivered a vertical suplex and went to the top rope, calling for the "Anduin" as the crowd rose, looking to see a new Women's champion. But Gail moved out of the way and Alex landed hard on her neck. Gail then went to the top rope herself and caught Alex with a flying hurracanrana and made the cover to get the win, which some seemed surprised by. Match Time: 5:13 AFTER THE MATCH, GAIL SNATCHED HER BELT FROM DOAN AND WALKED OFF TO HER MUSIC AND MORE BOOS. COMMERCIAL BREAK...... A PREVIEW FOR THE MOVIE "WALKING TALL" IS SHOWN. WRESTLEMANIA REPLAY WRESTLEMANIA 1: SHOWS CHRIS JERICHO DEFEAT CHRIS BENOIT AFTER AN EXCELLENT BOUT AT THE FIRST TWF WRESTLEMANIA. AS THE SHOW RETURNS, IDALIS IS SHOWN BACKSTAGE AT THE SADDLEDOME WITH CHRIS BENOIT. Idalis: "Chris, I know you heard the challenge laid out by Randy Orton and..... Chris Benoit: "We accept! We accept their challenge"! Idalis: "But... Bahamut isn't here, have you consulted with him"? Benoit: "Do I need to? I mean, you've seen what he and I have put up with those two lately and at WrestleMania... they're on"! Idalis: "Well, I don't wanna spoil the parade, but are you sure you can trust Bahamut? I mean, this is the same guy who orchestrated some horrible acts over the last year. Are you sure he's really come around"? BENOIT JUST WALKS AWAY BUT STOPS, THINKING HARD ABOUT WHAT SHE JUST SAID. LIVEWIRE INN...... Grisham: "That match is signed but unfortunately, Idalis makes a good point Honky". HTM: "And Benoit was thinking about it but all that aside, that's gonna rank up there with some of the biggest tag team matches ever". Grisham: "This WrestleMania is gonna be filled with big matches, as always including one that will pit High Octane from RAW against Rob Van Dam from PrimeTime. The winner, well all he gets is a future shot at the champion from his brand". HTM: "One fact that few people may know is that High Octane is actually trained by RVD and although he hasn't be able to one up Shawn Michaels, maybe High Octane can defeat his mentor". Grisham: "They've never met in the ring before here in the TWF and neither have the two men that will compete for the World title. And Honky, for Kurt Angle, this has been a rise from the bottom. After becoming a gold medalist at the 1996 Olympic games, he came to the TWF a young, cocky superstar. And he won like thirty percent of the time". HTM: "No doubt Angle was an early disappointment, even getting pinned by Shaquile O'Neal once. But after becoming last year's Comeback wrestler of the year, this could be his night". Grisham: "He's matured and learned and of course, gotten better. But The Undertaker is without question the top champion the TWF has ever seen, in the middle of his sixth reign. Will it be the mat based, amatuer style of Angle of the right at you, in your face attack of the deadman? Either way, the fans are in for a treat in Toronto". HTM: "Back in Calgary, the fans are ready for tag team action. Let's go there now". The Basham Brothers w/ Victoria vs. Tommy Dreamer and John Hennigan The Basham's were looking to avenge an earlier loss to Dreamer and Hennigan and after a distraction from Victoria, Dreamer found himself in an early hole, getting rocked with right hands from Danny. The Bashams made several exchanges, working hard to keep Dreamer in the ring. Victoria also ran interference on referee Jose Mendez, allowing for some illegal double teaming. The rookie Hennigan made little attempt to stop the action, just yelling for Dreamer to come make the tag. Finally, Dreamer put Doug down with a neckbreaker and went to make the tag but Danny switched positions with his brother, rolling him to the apron and grabbing Dreamer's leg. After a scoop slam, Danny tagged in Doug and they sent Dreamer for the ride. But Dreamer exploded off with a flying clothesline on both men. This really brought the fans back into the match but then, they were stunned. As Dreamer finally made it over to tag in Hennigan, the youngster jumped off the apron and just began laughing as Dreamer was in shock. Dreamer stood up but backed right into Danny's arms as Doug bounced off the ropes, completing the russian legsweep-clothesline combo for the victory. Match Time: 8:22 HENNIGAN WALKED UP THE RAMP, SMILING AS THE FANS GAVE IT TO HIM. COMMERCIAL BREAK....... A COMMERCIAL FOR VIVE FOR MEN SHAMPOO IS SHOWN FOLLOWED BY ONE FOR AUDI. WRESTLEMANIA REPLAY WRESTLEMANIA 2: SHOWS RIGHT TO CENSOR, BULL BUCHANAN AND THE GOODFATHER, DEFEAT THE DUDLEY BOYZ IN A TABLES MATCH TO BECOME TWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS. BACK AT THE SADDLEDOME, LILIAN GARCIA CATCHES UP WITH JOHN HENNIGAN WHO STILL HAS THE RIDICULOUS SMILE ON HIS FACE. Lilian: "John, what was that all about"? John Hennigan: "That, was me extinguishing my relationship with Tommy Dreamer. Ya see, I got what I needed from him, I got my foot in the door. And now, I am no longer plain old John Hennigan. From now on, I want to be formally known as Johnny Blaze". HENNIGAN WALKS AWAY AS THE SHOT SHIFTS TO ANOTHER PART OF THE BACKSTAGE AREA WHERE IDALIS IS WITH PRIMETIME OWNER SHANE McMAHON. Idalis: "Shane, I was told that you have an announcement to make concerning the tag team title match at WrestleMania between The Chosen and Jordan Rockwell and Rhyno". Shane McMahon: "Yes Idalis, yes I do. It was after the last PrimeTime, when Christopher Daniels made an obscene call to Lita that I realized this is getting out of control. So at WrestleMania, I think the title match between these two teams needs to be....out of control. So, for the first time in TWF history, we are going to have an Iron Gates match". Idalis: "An Iron Gates match"? Shane: "I have talked with all four competitors and they have all agreed to participate. Basically, it is a scaffold match with 20 tables set up inside the ring. The first team to climb to the top of the scaffold and grab both belts that are hanging above it will be the TWF tag team champions. There may be injuries, there may be careers ended. But this is how we're gonna do it". SHANE STARTS TO WALK AWAY WHEN TED DIBIASE COMES UP, FLANKED BY HIS ENTIRE CORPORATION. Ted Dibiase: "Hey Shane. SHANE TURNS BACK AROUND Since you're making changes to the card for WrestleMania, how bout we add another? See, I have a little problem lately with a man who wants to dress up like me. So at WrestleMania, I say he gets in the ring. Now I realize he might wanna keep his identity a secret, but I am going to make him an offer that if he wins, I'll pay him fifty thousand dollars". SHANE LOOKS IMPRESSED Shane: "Hmmm, well it just so happens that I know who the guy is and I know he'll take this match. So I'll let him know and you can count on seeing him at WrestleMania". SHANE WALKS AWAY AND DIBIASE LETS OUT HIS NOTORIOUS LAUGH AS CHARLIE HAAS, ROB CONWAY AND NICK DINSMORE HIGH FIVE ONE ANOTHER. BACK AT THE LIVEWIRE INN, HONKY AND GRISHAM ARE PLAYING SMACKDOWN 5 ON PLAYSTATION 2. HTM: "Hey, you can't do that....that's cheating"! Grisham: "Well I just won. GRISHAM TURNS TO THE CAMERA. Not that long ago, it seemed that the only way you'd ever see a match between Travis Wakeman and Hulk Hogan would be on a video game. But at WrestleMania five, this match will become a reality. It's Legacy versus Legend.....take a look". A HIGHLIGHT PACKAGE IS SHOWN OF EACH MAN TO SET UP THE MATCH. HTM: "Wakeman is gonna be facing his boyhood idol Grish and you gotyta like the idea of him making Hogan tap out"! Grisham: "It is sure to be a divided crowd but after all he's done for this business and with it being his last match, how can you go against the Hulkster"? HTM: "Hogan has been at it forever and it will definitely be the end of a long, successful era. Should make for a special match". Grisham: "The finally match in Calgary is up and it is one I have personally been looking forward to for some time. Shane Thompson versus Kid Gundam for the Intercontinental title"! BACK IN CALGARY...... BACK AT THE SADDLEDOME, THE LOGO OF THE CHOSEN CAME ONTO THE VIDEO WALL AND "HAUNTED" BY EVANESCENCE HIT, LEADING SHANE THOMPSON OUT TO MOSTLY BOOS. AFTER HE GOT INTO THE RING, "JADE" BY ADRENALINE HIT AND KID GUNDAM CAME OUT TO A BETTER REACTION, WITH THE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE AROUND HIS WAIST. GUNDAM ENTERED THE RING AND TOOK OFF THE BELT, HANDING IT TO REFEREE MIKE CHIODA WHO SHOWED IT TO THOMPSON. THE BELL THEN SOUNDED. TWF Intercontinental Title Match Challenger.... Shane Thompson vs. Kid Gundam As expected, a great match. Thompson came out swinging but Gundam was ready and he quickly broke him down with a slew of kicks. He then whipped Thompson to the corner and delivered a monkey flip before bouncing off the ropes for a springboard back elbow drop that landed. Gundam pulled him up and smacked his chest with a couple knifedge chops before whipping him to the far corner. He charged in but Thompson backdropped him to the apron. Thompson turned around but Gundam kicked him right in the face. He then came in through the ring ropes and hooked the leg for a 2 count. Thompson was rattled but not out, catching Gundam with a kick to the chest of his own after Gundam missed with a roundhouse. Thompson then drove him into the mat with a tilt-a-whirl slam before whipping him to the ropes and going for a hip toss. But somehow, Gundam countered it into a sickening DDT and hooked the leg for the 1..........2.........., but no, Thompson was up. Gundam couldn't believe it but he whipped him hard into the corner and as Thompson stumbled out, he hooked him for the "Gundam Death Effect" but Thompson grabbed his left arm and swung him right into a dragon whip kick. Thompson then took a page out of Gundam's book, putting him down with a shining wizard. Gundam could barely get up but when he did, a rejuvenated Thompson scooped him up and drove him down with the "Outcast", hooking both legs for the 1.......2.......3. Match Time: 6:26 "HAUNTED" PLAYED AS THOMPSON GOT THE BELT FROM CHIODA, IMMEDIATELY LEAVING THE RING TO A LOT OF HEAT. COMMERCIAL BREAK........ A COMMERCIAL FOR XM SATELLITE RADIO FOLLOWED BY ONE FOR MILLER GENUINE DRAFT. WRESTLEMANIA REPLAY WRESTLEMANIA 3: SHOWS SHAWN MICHAELS PINNING HULK HOGAN IN THE 6 MAN TAG MAIN EVENT TO BECOME TWF CHAMPION. Grisham: "On that night, Shawn Michaels rose to the top. Honky, there's one match we have yet to talk about. Brock Lesnar defending his title against Steve Austin". HTM: "This one is gonna be the big one Todd. Brock Lesnar has dominated PrimeTime for the past year with hardly a challenge. The Texas rattlesnake may be the last thing that stands in his way from becoming the biggest superstar this industry has ever seen". Grisham: "Austin hasn't had a lot of time in the ring, but he's been there before, he's a veteran. He may be the underdog against the young lion, but Austin is sure to break out everything from his bag of tricks". HTM: "He definitely has Lesnar's attention. Lesnar even hit Jesse Ventura with the F-5 out of his recent frustration. But I just don't see how Austin can crack this monster, how he can tame this beast". Grisham: "Well without doubt, it will be one for the ages".
