Gund Arena

Cleveland, Ohio

February 28, 2004

Uprising is hosted by Jonathan Coachman who begins by talking about the heavily anticipated main event. Saying he'll get to that later, the ongoing fued between Joe Corey and Austin Pyromania is previewed. Starting with when Corey curiously pronounced Pyromania the man who should get a King of Cable title match, at least in his mind, the video package shows all their interactions, ending with their tag team match on the last RAW in which they lost to Scott Steiner and Taylor Made. Afterwards, Corey showed his true colors, hitting Pyromania with a chair across the back after the match.

Up next, Kurt Angle vs. Shawn Michaels, a perennial dream match is previewed as footage of the number 1 contender's tournament is shown, starting with the first round. Also included is Angle's face to face meeting with Michaels on the last RAW where he said this is a match wrestling fans around the world have been waiting for.... tonight, they get their wish!

Finally, the World title match. The Undertaker's long and impressive run may face it's toughest test tonight in the form of former prison inmate, Nathan Jones. Brother Long's quest to create a champion may stop tonight in Cleveland in what will truly be a clash of titans. Coachman wraps up his part by telling all fans who haven't ordered to contact their local cable company or satellite provider and do so now as fans continue to file into the Gund arena.

The Basham Brothers w/ Victoria vs. Val Venis and Sam Wilde

The Basham's have given Wilde a lot of trouble in the past couple weeks but it appears he may've finally found someone he can trust. After several minutes of back and forth action, all 4 men were in the ring. After a double backdrop on Danny, Val whipped Doug into Wilde and he hip tossed him across the ring. Victoria got on the apron but Val grabbed her with 2 hands and kissed her! He then held her for Wilde who grabbed her as well but just let go. Doug then came from behind with a forearm that knocked Wilde threw the ropes and he followed him out. But in the ring, Val reversed an irish whip and caught Danny with a hard spinebuster, hooking the leg for the 3 count.

Jerry Lawler: "It's a huge night for the superstars of RAW J.R., some who are trying to reach WrestleMania by winning a spot and others who are trying to hang onto what they've got"!

Jimmy Hart: "Next month, the TWF is going to Toronto for WrestleMania!

THE CROWD CHEERS

Now I know that next month when we go back home with the King of Cable title, the fans who we brought back to the TWF will have no problem standing up for the national anthem of Canada. I know that you people here in Cleveland don't have much to be happy about..... but we ask that you stand in respect for the playing of Oh Canada.... hit it"!

This is Cleveland, home of the Cavs and the Dawg Pound! All you got up there is the CFL. And even though I got love for our neighbors to the north, I can't stand to watch what ya'll put forth! I mean, Jimmy Hart, you're the Mouth of the South, something doesn't make sense. It seems to me that with your nickname, you just didn't care. Or could it be that you really just like to put your mouth down there"?

J.R.: "How pleasant".

Lawler: (laughing) "This is great"!

Cena: "Let me just make it simple for you two. The Doctor of Thuganomics is about to send you back to Canada with a big F.....U"!

CENA DROPS THE MIC AND THE BELT AND HEADS DOWN THE RAMP BUT STORM SLIDES OUT TO MEET HIM AS REFEREE JIM KORDERAS GOES TO GRAB THE TITLE.

J.R.: "We're underway, King of Cable title on the line"!

TWF King of Cable Title Match

Challenger.... Rob Storm w/ Jimmy Hart vs. John Cena

The two traded shots outside the ring, right near the fans but Storm was able to reverse an irish whip and send Cena crashing into the ring steps. Korderas came over and forced Storm to get into the ring but as he did, Hart booted Cena right in the ribs. Cena made his way to his feet but Storm hit the ropes and drilled him with a baseball slide that knocked him into the barricade. Storm then distracted Korderas again as Hart used his coat to choke Cena. Hart then quickly put it back on and Storm slid out of the ring, rolling Cena in. He then stood on the apron, waiting for Cena to get up and when he did, he used the ring ropes as a slingshot and drilled him with a nice flying clothesline. He went for the cover and got 1......2...., but Cena's right shoulder came off the mat. Storm pulled Cena's Browns jersey off and ripped it in half, a move that drew a ton of heat. Storm then focused on the lower back of Cena, dropping him across his knee with a backbreaker. After several hard forearms into the back, Storm put him down with a backdrop suplex and went for another cover but again got only a 2 count. Back to the lower lumbaric region he went and he then turned Cena over with a half boston crab. Cena was in a lot of pain but as the crowd began to try and cheer him back into it, he pushed up out of the move as the intensity showed on his face. Cena then popped up and drove 2 forearms into Storm's face before whipping him to the ropes. But Storm ducked a clothesline and came off the opposite side with a flying calf kick. He went for a quick cover and got 1........2....., but Cena pushed him off. Storm pulled him up and draped him over the middle rope as Hart came over with the megaphone and just yelled in his ear. Cena seemed very affected by this and Storm decided to go to the top rope. He came off with a big elbow but Cena, still covering his ear, rolled out of the way. He then got up and brought it to Storm, hitting him with a flurry of right hands before whipping him into the corner and charging in with a clothesline. After a hard slam, he went outside the ring after Hart. Hart scampered around the ring and led Cena right to a waiting Storm who bladed him with a clothesline. He then rolled him into the ring and signaled for the "Great White North". He had Cena hooked up but Cena countered out of the move but held his left arm and swung him right onto his shoulders. The fans rose out of their seats as he hit the "F-U" and hooked the leg for the hard fought victory.

Match Time: 7:32

J.R.: "John Cena has sent Rob Storm back to Canada with the F-U he was talking about and he remains the King of Cable"!

Lawler: "I think he said F-U, in more ways than one J.R.! Just think of all those Canadian fans the TWF just lost"!

J.R.: "Well I don't know that that is the case. I'd say they'll be out in full force next month at WrestleMania"!

BACKSTAGE.....

Jonathan Coachman is shown backstage alongside “The Show” Joe Corey and Alexis Laree. Corey has sunglasses on, showing no visible emotion.

Jonathan Coachman: "Thanks J.R. this is The Coach here and I am standing next to the man who later tonight will go one-on-one with Austin Pyromania, “The Show” Joe Corey. Now Joe, coming into this match, it seemed like you were going into this match to refocus Austin, but after last week on Raw, a lot of people feel that you have other intentions".

Joe Corey: "Coach, if I was focused on this title from the beginning, why would I have come out on Raw almost three months ago and proclaim that Austin Pyromania was the most deserving person of a shot to be the King of Cable? If I was focused on this title from the beginning, why would I be doing everything in my power to get Austin refocused on his goal? The truth of the matter is, this match was not about me. It was not about the King of Cable. It was about Austin Pyromania".

Jonathan Coachman: "It was about Austin Pyromania? What is that supposed to mean"?

Joe Corey: "What do you think it means Coach? It is true, three months ago, I did come out here and proclaim that Austin Pyromania deserved a shot at the title. But since that time, I have seen Austin for exactly what he is and that is weak. Seeing what this man really is has given me a whole new perspective on this match. Everything started here because I wanted to see someone who has a lot of promise in this business finally realize that potential. But now, I have looked back and realized that I was seeing all of those qualities in the wrong person. I looked real hard and I saw all of those qualities....in me".

Jonathan Coachman: "What are you trying to say, “Show”"?

Joe Corey: "It is really simple Coach. I have one mission. One purpose, one goal, one aim, and that is to become the new King of Cable. I don’t care how other people feel about me, or how they feel about the way I elevate myself. The only thing that is going to matter, is how they will feel about me tomorrow, when my sights are set on the King of Cable. I don’t care if it is John Cena or Rob Storm, because all I am after is that title, and whoever holds it has a huge bullseye on the chest, the same one that is on Austin Pyromania right now. So Austin, I’ll see you soon, because It’s Showtime"!

BACK AT RINGSIDE, A SAXOPHONE PLAYS INTO JAZZ' TUNE AND SHE COMES OUT ALONG WITH TEDDY LONG WHO IS IN A BLACK SUIT TO A LOT OF BOOS.

J.R.: "That match is set for later tonight King but right now, we've got women's action between two females trying to position themselves for a shot at the Women's title".

"GET THE PARTY STARTED" BY PINK HITS AND ALEX MIRAN COMES OUT TO A VERY LOUD POP.

Lawler: "Well I don't know about Alex Miran. I don't think she wants to face her friend Gail Kim, she just wants to get back at Jazz"!

J.R.: "Alex Miran is becoming increasingly popular here in the TWF and it was last month at the Royal Rumble when she saved Gail Kim from taking a serious beating from Jazz".

Lawler: "Yeah and last week on RAW, Jazz returned the favor"!

J.R.: "Gail Kim is here in the building tonight and you can bet she's got her eyes on this one".

Alex Miran vs. Jazz w/ Brother Long

As the bell sounded, Alex steered clear of locking up with Jazz and instead, tried to take her down to the mat. But Jazz showed too much power and just swatted her away each time. Off an irish whip, Alex ducked a clothesline and hit a wonderful wheel kick before going to the top rope and hitting a well placed missile dropkick. She then went to another corner and came off with a cross body block before again going to a corner and coming off with a moonsault on a standing Jazz to get a very near fall as Long was in a panic. Jazz shook off the cobwebs though and kicked Alex right in the face as she bounced off the ropes. Jazz then picked her up in a double chicken wing lift and just dropped her flat on her face. She then hit the ropes and got up high in the air for a huge legdrop that found the mark. She covered her but hooked no leg and Miran was up fairly easily. Jazz got in referee Charles Robinson's face and Miran began to stir only to have Jazz kick her in the head. Jazz then put her down with a swinging neckbreaker. That led to a half crab that put a ton of pressure on the lower back and Miran was in trouble. Jazz then stepped over into an STF and Miran was on the verge of tapping out but she somehow fought through the pain and grabbed the bottom rope to cause a break. Jazz was again yelling at Robinson as she whipped Miran in but she dipped her head down and Miran hit a nice sit down face buster. Alex then went to the middle rope and jumped off but Jazz caught her with both arms and put her down hard with a spinebuster. Jazz yelled "that's it" and the fans immediately started booing as she set Miran on one of the turnbuckles. Long was clapping as she set up for a superplex or perhaps, her fisherman buster. But before she could execute it, Miran pushed her off and quickly got her footing to come off with the "Anduin". She leaned back and hooked the outside leg of Jazz to get a 3 count and bring an abrupt end to the match.

6:53

Lawler: "I don't believe it J.R., Miran won it"!

J.R.: "A huge win for Alex Miran as she.......

JUST THEN, JAZZ SPUN MIRAN AROUND AND PLANTED HER WITH A WICKED DDT.

Oh my god! Jazz just put Miran down and out with that DDT"!

Lawler: "I felt that over here"!

JAZZ THEN LOCKED IN ANOTHER STF AND ROBINSON WAS UNSUCCESSFUL IN TRYING TO PULL HER OFF. LONG YELLED FOR JAZZ TO KEEP THE HOLD ON UNTIL FINALLY, GAIL KIM CAME RUNNING OUT. LONG POINTED IT OUT AND JAZZ LET GO OF THE HOLD, EXITING THE RING ALONG WITH LONG AS GAIL GOT IN.

Lawler: "Finally some help".

J.R.: "Some help but the damage has been done folks".

ALEX MIRAN ROLLED AROUND IN PAIN AS GAIL KIM JUST LOOKED ON AT JAZZ WHO RAISED HER ARMS TO THE BOOS OF THE CROWD.

Lawler: "It seems Gail Kim didn't get out here quite as quickly as Alex Miran did for her"!

BACKSTAGE.....

CAMERAS IN THE BACKSTAGE AREA COME UPON HULK HOGAN AND STRIFE WHO ARE WATCHING ONE OF HOGAN's MATCHES FROM THE 1980's. IT IS CLEAR THAT HOGAN IS IN FIRM CONTROL OF THE MATCH HE's WATCHING.

Strife: "Ooh, nice move".

Hulk Hogan: "Ya see Strife, this is what Wakeman has coming to him at WrestleMania brother".

THEY CONTINUE TO WATCH THE MATCH AS THE SHOT SHIFTS TO ANOTHER PART OF THE ARENA WHERE HIGH OCTANE IS SHOWN. SUDDENLY, CHRISTOPHER NOWINSKI COMES UP.

Christopher Nowinski: "Hey Damion, I was thinking of having you as my guest on the next Extra Credit. I have the perfect question to ask you. How does it feel to know that Shawn Michaels can do everything you can't"?

High Octane: "You keep talkin', you won't be here to host that show".

Nowinski: "Yeah, threaten me with physicality if it makes ya feel better. But just think about it. You lost to Kurt Angle, HBK has a chance to beat him tonight. Plus, the list goes on and on of your shortcomings and what Michaels has been able to accomplish. It's just like the student who had the straight A kid do his homework. He knew he couldn't get it done, so someone else did it for him".

NOWINSKI WALKS AWAY, LEAVING HIGH OCTANE WITH A FIRE IN HIS EYES.

BACK AT RINGSIDE, "AHH WHAT A RUSH" IS HEARD AND THE OLD ROAD WARRIORS MUSIC HITS AS JON HEIDENREICH COMES OUT TO A GOOD CHEER. ALONG WITH HIM IS ANIMAL.

Lawler: "Ya gotta admit J.R., Nowinski does have a point".

J.R.: "I hate to agree with you but Shawn Michaels doesn't see it that way, I assure you of that".

Lawler: "You sure of that J.R."?

J.R.: "What I am sure of is th7e fact that these two men are ready to get a huge measure of revenge here against a man who is always talking about getting it himself"!

THE LIGHTS GO OUT AND AFTER A BRIEF PAUSE, A SHADOWY FIGURE APPEARS IN THE ENTRYWAY WITH A BASEBALL BAT IN HAND. AS "IN MY DARKEST HOUR" PLAYS, HE STARTS TO WALK DOWN THE RAMP.

Lawler: "And as we've seen, this guy will stop at nothing to get it"!

J.R.: "I would call this man the most troubled soul in TWF history J.R. and I still think there's a lot we don't know about him".

Lawler: "Oh I know there is, but let's face it, this is supposed to be Heidenreich versus Nemesis, Animal has no business out here".

J.R.: "Both of them have issues with Nemesis but you talk about oppurtunity. This is the biggest oppurtunity to date for the young Heidenreich who was trained by Animal and the late Hawk".

Lawler: "Well Hawk if you're watching, you might wanna turn your head".

Jon Heidenreich w/ Animal vs. Nemesis

The bell sounded and Heidenreich brought the fight to Nemesis. It was like a heavyweight boxing match as the two behemoths traded blows. After knocking Nemesis to the mat, Heidenreich mistimed an elbow drop and Nemesis took advantage of the rookie mistake. Nemesis pounded Heidenreich with severak hard overhand rights before whipping him to the corner and catching him with a heavy clothesline. Heidenreich was reeling and Nemesis hit the ropes, barrelling over him with a running boot. He then dropped a big elbow on his sternum before getting up and pointing at Animal, drawing a lot of boos from the crowd. Nemesis pulled Heidenreich up and hammered him with a couple back elbows before hitting the ropes, looking for a flying clothesline. But Heidenreich moved out of the way and when Nemesis got up, he clotheslined him over the top rope and to the floor. Heidenreich followed him out and the match turned into a street fight. Heidenreich lifted him up and dropped him chest first on the barricade before rolling into the ring to break the count. Referee Chad Patton had had enough and he went outside, trying to get at least 1 of the men back into the ring. Heidenreich pulled Nemesis up and threw a hard right hand but connected with the face of Patton when Nemesis ducked. Nemesis drove a headbutt into the gut of Heidenreich as Patton fell to the floor, seemingly out cold. Blood was streaming from his nose as Nemesis rolled Heidenreich back into the ring. Animal came over to check on Patton as Nemesis went and grabbed a steel chair. After folding it over, he rolled into the ring with it, waiting for Heidenreich to get up. But before he could use the foreign object, Animal climbed up on the apron and took the chair from him. Nemesis threw a swing at Animal but he just stuck the chair up to shield himself. Nemesis rang his hand in pain as Heidenreich spun him around and hit a spiral sit down powerbomb. Animal was able to get Patton, bloody nose and all, up and he rolled him into the ring so he could count the 1........2........3.

Match Time: 7:37

THE CROWD WENT WILD AS PATTON RAISED THE ARM OF THE VICTORIOUS HEIDENREICH.

J.R.: "He got him! Ring the bell.... it's over"!

Lawler: "This is gonna go down as a huge upset J.R., who would've guessed it"!

J.R.: "Upset or not, Heidenreich has overcame the odds and perservered right in front of one of his mentor's eyes"!

AS ANIMAL AND HEIDENREICH WALKED AWAY VICTORIOUSLY, NEMESIS WAS SHOWN IN THE RING, LOOKING AT THE MAT FROM ONE KNEE.

Lawler: "But the torment is gonna continue for that man"!

BACKSTAGE......

CAMERAS IN THE BACK SHOW AN EAGER BILLY GUNN HEADING TO THE RING WHEN JONATHAN COACHMAN COMES UP.

Jonathan Coachman: "Excuse me, Billy Gunn.

BILLY STOPS

Tonight, you will go one on one with one of your former best friends. Now, you may now Triple H as well or better than anyone else, yet, no one is giving you a chance to win this match in any way".

Billy Gunn: "And ya know what Coach, that's exactly the way I want it. Ya know, they say you can't teach an old dog new tricks. Well, this old dog knows all the tricks Triple H has in his arsenal and I know exactly what it's gonna take to beat him. Now move out of the way so I can go pull the biggest upset in TWF history".

GUNN CONFIDENTLY WALKS AWAY AS COACH JUST LOOKS ON.

"THE GAME" BY MOTORHEAD HITS AND WHETHER THEY'RE BOOING OR CHEERING, EVERY FAN IS ON THEIR FEET. HE POURS A LITTLE WATER OVER HIS HEAD OUT OF A BOTTLE AND MAKES HIS WAY DOWN THE RAMP WITH HIS USUAL INTENSE "GAME FACE" ON. TONIGHT, HE HAS CHOSEN PURPLE TRUNKS WITH HIS LOGO ON THE FRONT.

J.R.: "You gotta respect the confidence in Billy Gunn tonight but like him or not King, the game is one of the bext ever".

Lawler: "Pain is temporary but the game is forever J.R., Billy Gunn has no chance of ending this man's legacy"!

J.R.: "All he said is get ready for the biggest upset in TWF history.....

"I GOT IT ALL" HITS AND BILLY GUNN IS OUT TO AN INSPIRING CHEER.

and here he comes"!

Lawler: "Well if he wins, I'd say it would be the biggest upset in TWF history but do you think Triple H doesn't know that?! No way is he gonna let that happen"!

J.R.: "But you gotta take into consideration the fact that these two men used to be running mates, used to be best of friends. Billy Gunn says he knows how to defeat Helmsley and I gotta believe that"!

Lawler: "But he's up against the man you personally dubbed the Cerebral Assassin J.R.! Triple H doesn't just have one way to beat ya.... he's got several"!

Triple H vs. Billy Gunn

After the bell sounded, the two men moved in on one another, looking for the best method of attack. Gunn went for a straight lockup but HHH was able to get a knee into the gut before ripping Gunn with right hands that knocked him to a sitting position in the corner. Referee Mike Chioda moved in and pulled Triple H away but right as Gunn got up, he came in and kicked him in the gut 3 times before sending him into the corner so hard that he fell back face first on the mat. After rolling him over, Triple H came out of the corner of the ring with a kneedrop, placed right on his forehead. Showing a true mean streak, Triple H then drove the base of his forearm into Gunn's face. Triple H pulled him to his feet and went for an irish whip but Billy reversed it right into the One and Only. Both men were down but the crowd was back into it. Billy got to his feet first and rocked Triple H with a flurry of right hands and then a left jab that knocked him to the mat. Billy pulled him up and whipped him to the ropes but he missed with a clothesline. After he came off the other side, Triple H hit his trademark high knee to swing the tide back to him. Triple H pulled Gunn to a seated position and then knotted his head up with right hands to the temple. Triple H then hooked him up for the Pedigree but Gunn slipped his arms out and countered with a back drop. That led to his Gunn Stinger swinging sideslam and he hooked the leg for the 1........2......., but HHH was out. He staggered to his feet as Billy went to the top rope and came off with a flying bulldog, smashing Helmsley's nose into the mat. He covered him again and got 1.....2....., but again, only a 2 count. After reversing an irish whip, Triple H locked in a sleeper hold that may've even been a choke. Each time Chioda tried to check where his arm was positioned, Triple H turned around. He finally dropped Gunn to the mat and Billy was out. Triple H then pulled him up, looking for a vertical suplex but Gunn blocked it and countered with a Jackhammer slam. Still a little groggy, Billy whipped him to the corner and came flying in with a jumping body splash but The Game bailed and he caught nothing but steel post. Triple H then spun him around and delivered the devastating Pedigree before rolling him over for the 1.......2.......3.

Match Time: 8:40

J.R.: "Triple H has survived with the Pedigree but I can promise, he'll never forget being taken to the limit by Billy Gunn"!

Lawler: "So much for the biggest upset in TWF history, Billy Gunn is out like a light"!

TRIPLE H HOBBLED UP THE RAMP AS "THE GAME" PLAYED.

J.R.: "He survived King, that's all he did. Billy Gunn gave it his all, he just came up a little short"!

BACKSTAGE.....

CAMERAS AT THE ARENA ENTRANCE SHOW THE ARRIVAL OF "STONE COLD" STEVE AUSTIN AND ALTHOUGH SURPRISED, THE CROWD GOES WILD UPON SEEING HIM.

Stagehand: "Can I ask what it's about"?

Stone Cold: "Can you just shut up and point me in the direction of her office"?!

Stagehand: "That way".

THE STAGEHAND POINTS AUSTIN TO A HALLWAY AND AUSTIN WALKS OFF.

J.R.: "What is the rattlesnake doing here"?

TWF RE-WIND

SHOWS WHAT HAPPENED ON "EXTRA CREDIT" LAST WEEK ON RAW WITH LOS GUERREROS, MARK JINDRAK AND SHELTON BENJAMIN.

BACK TO THE ACTION, THE MUSIC OF SHELTON BENJAMIN AND MARK JINDRAK HITS AND THEY COME OUT TO A WARM RECEPTION.

J.R.: "That was a tremendous show of respect by these two men who will challenge the same Guerreros they saved for the tag titles tonight".

Lawler: "It was tremendously stupid J.R.. Like I said on RAW, these two should get the award for the biggest idiots of the year"!

"VIVA LA RAZA" HITS AND THE CROWD LOUDLY CHEERS AS A CUSTOM LOWRIDER PULLS INTO THE ARENA. CHAVO IS DRIVING AND EDDIE IS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. AS THE CAR COMES TO A REST, THEY REACH INTO THE BACKSEAT AND PULL OUT THEIR TAG TEAM TITLE BELTS.

J.R.: "Well they haven't made too many mistakes, they are undefeated as a team"!

Lawler: "But think about it J.R., if they would've just let Los Guerreros take the beating from Nowinski and Goldust, they might have this in the bag tonight"!

J.R.: "Well believe it or not King, some superstars don't wanna win like that, some actually have a true competitive spirit inside"!

Lawler: "Ya know, I actually could care less who wins this match"!

J.R.: "Well I can think of several teams who have their eyes glued to their monitors in the back".

RAW Tag Team Title Match

Challengers..... Shelton Benjamin and Mark Jindrak vs. Los Guerreros

After the bell sounded, Los Guerreros agreed to have Chavo start, opposite Benjamin. The two then waged a mat war in which Benjamin got the best of by reverting to his amatuer skills, which ranked among the best in the NCAA when he attended the University of Minnesota. After a greco-roman style takedown, Benjamin locked in a front face lock and had Chavo in some early trouble. He then extended his left leg so Jindrak could tag himself in and even though Jindrak was able to drop an elbow on the back of Chavo's head, many wondered why Benjamin didn't just leave the hold on because secons later, Chavo caught Jindrak with a dropkick in the kisser after reversing an irish whip and then tagged in his uncle. Edde brought himself into the ring over the top rope with a helo and then pulled Jindrak to his feet, hammering him with a couple right hands. Eddie then pulled him in and hit his trio of vertical suplexes before going for an irish whip. But after reversing it, Jindrak lifted Eddie into the air with a backbody drop. He then whipped him to the corner but Eddie put his foot up as he charged in and came out with a clothesline. But Jindrak quickly ducked and went to the top rope, coming off with a reverse flying clothesline that was a thing of beauty. He tagged in Benjamin who positioned himself on the apron and after a suplex from Jindrak, he came in with a slingshot legdrop right as Eddie hit the mat. He went for the cover but Chavo was in to make the save. Benjamin stayed on Eddie but off an irish whip, Eddie caught his legs when he went for a front dropkick and catapulted him to the corner. With both men down, referee Jose Mendez began to count. Once he got to 8, both men started to move. Benjamin tagged out and Eddie was on the verge of doing so to but Jindrak grabbed his leg and dragged him back to their corner. He and Benjamin made 5 exchanges in the next minute, each taking their shots at Latino Heat. Jindrak then whipped him to the top side of the ring and went for his dropkick. Although he got plenty of height, Eddie put the brakes on, making his fall harder. He finally made the tag to Chavo who was fired up. After a snap suplex on Jindrak, he went to the middle turnbuckle and came iff with a dropkick right on the knee. Jindrak was in obvious pain but when Chavo went for the cover, Benjamin came in to make the tag. Chavo then pulled him up and went for an irish whip but Jindrak reversed it and this time he nailed his textbook dropkick. But instead of tagging out, the now limping Jindrak pulled Chavo up and went for a backdrop suplex. But Chavo stuck his hand out and an alert Eddie slapped it, making himself the legal man. Unaware of this, Jindrak was dropkicked by Eddie in the back of the same knee that Chavo got. Chavo then took Benjamin off the apron with a baseball slide to the legs. Eddie then screamed "viva la raza" as he locked in the "Lasso from El Paso". Mendez was down asking Jindrak what he wanted to do. Jindrak held on as long as he could but he ended up tapping out, signaling he'd had enough.

Match Time: 10:00

"VIVA LA RAZA" PLAYED AND EDDIE AND CHAVO EMBRACED AS MENDEZ HANDED THEM THEIR BELTS AND THE CROWD LOUDLY CHEERED.

J.R.: "A valiant effort by Jindrak and Benjamin and their day will come King! But if you ask me, any problems between Eddie and Chavo have been left behind"!

Lawler: "I gotta admit J.R., that was some very smart tag team wrestling on the Guerrero's part! All Benjamin and Jindrak can think about now is what could've been if they didn't save them"!

J.R.: "Jindrak and Benjamin have nothing to be ashamed of! They have as bright a future as any tag team I can remember but tonight, wasn't their night"!

BACKSTAGE.... STEPHANIE McMAHON's OFFICE.....

CAMERAS SHOW "STONE COLD" STEVE AUSTIN SITTING ACROSS FROM STEPHANIE McMAHON, SIPPING ON A BEER.

Stephanie McMahon: "So Steve, I got your fax, I'm just not sure what you're talking about".

Stone Cold: "What I'm talking about is spicing up WrestleMania. I'm talking about a match, one guy from RAW versus one guy from PrimeTime. You and Hogan can select your guy, Shane and I will select ours. At WrestleMania, they have a match and the winner gets a future title shot against the champion of his division".

Stephanie: (smiling) "Ya know, I bet Shane doesn't worry about much with you at his side on PrimeTime. I like the idea Steve, we'll select a guy from RAW, you pick one from PrimeTime".

Stone Cold: "Glad to do business with ya.... ya want a beer"?

Stephanie: "No Steve, I'm good. But since you did come up with such a great idea, as my personal guest, you're welcome to stay and watch the rest of the show".

Stone Cold: "Okay, I'll just go get another six pack and pull up a chair back here somewhere".

Lawler: "I can't believe Ed Leslie is really here J.R."!

DON'T PLAY WITH FIRE" BY 2 PAC HITS AND AUSTIN PYROMANIA COMES OUT TO A HUGE POP WITH STACY KIEBLER AT HIS SIDE.

Lawler: "It's all about that King of Cable title! It's all about that tv time that comes with it and I admire the way Joe Corey got himself into this match"!

J.R.: "Sneaky, underhanded, those are just a few of the words I'd use to describe Joe Corey as a person but as an in ring performer, he is full of potential"!

Lawler: "And the winner is going to WrestleMania to face the King of Cable who right now, is John Cena"!

J.R.: "The stakes couldn't be higher but to me, this is a mental match. Whoever can put all the other events that have gone on between these two men behind them, will get the victory".

#1 Contender for the King of Cable title

"The Show" Joe Corey w/ Alexis Laree vs. Austin Pyromania w/ Stacy Kiebler

This turned out to be one of the best matches all night as these two men poured their hearts out to get the win. For the first part of the match, Corey was in total control. After avoiding a reverse cross body, he hit Pyromania with a piledriver that stuffed him into the mat. Corey then began to break Pyro down, dropping him across his knee with a backbreaker before coming off the middle turnbuckle with a front elbow drop. After pulling Pyromania up, Corey put him back down with a float over russian leg sweep but could only get a 2 count. He then mounted Pyromania and just pounded him with a series of right hands before calling Alexis up onto the apron for a kiss on the cheek. But when he pulled Pyro back up, he caught a right hand in the gut. Pyromania then grabbed one of his feet but Corey used his free foot for a reverse enziguri. He then used a shin breaker and held onto Pyromania's left leg, locking in a figure 4. Pyromania was in a lot of pain but worked himself into position to grab the bottom rope. Corey held the hold for all 5 seconds of referee Brian Hebner's count. He pulled Pyromania up and jabbed him a couple times before grabbing him in a side head lock. But out of desperation, Pyromania came back with a backdrop suplex. This brought the crowd back into it and Pyromania got up, hitting a cartwheel moonsault. But he broke the cover to go to the top rope and he came off with a moonsault onto a standing Corey to get 1.......2......., but that was it. Corey came up swinging with a clothesline but Pyromania ducked and put a superkick right on his chin, knocking him to the mat. He then pulled him up and hit a beatiful wheel kick off an irish whip and even landed on Corey to get the 1.........2....., but Corey's left shoulder shot up just in time. Pyromania wanted to keep the pace fast but after he hit the ropes, Corey kicked him in the stomach and reversed him over into a standing dragon sleeper. After withstanding the hold for about 10 seconds, Pyromania flipped up onto his shoulder and pushed him to the turnbuckle. He then schoolboyed him for another very near fall. Pyromania then went for a snap suplex but Corey wisely grabbed the top rope and Pyro's head slammed off the mat. Corey then dragged him to the center of the ring and locked in another figure 4. This one looked sure to get the submission but the heart and determination of Pyromania was not to be denied. He reversed the hold, putting all the pressure on Corey when the camera focused on a brawl that was going on outside the ring between Stacy, Alexis, Terri and Desire. This had gotten the attention of Hebner as well as Taylor Made entered the ring from the other side. Pyromania released the hold and got in Taylor's face. After a harsh exchange, Taylor threw a right hand but Pyromania blocked it and put him on the mat with one of his own. When he turned, Corey lunged at him but Pyromania kicked him in the stomach and grabbed him around the head for the "Pyrotechnics". But Corey was able to push him into the ropes and when he came back, he booted him in the gut and BOOM, he hit the "Showstopper". Corey rolled him over and hooked both legs to get the 1........2........3.

Match Time: 12:59

J.R.: "Well I'll be damned! Pyromania had this one won folks and his old buddy Taylor Made has cost him"!

Lawler: "What a way to take advantage of a situation! Joe Corey deserves to be the number one contender"!

COREY LEFT THE RING AND GRABBED ALEXIS BY THE ARM, PULLING HER WITH HIM. HEBNER DID HIS BEST TO SEPERATE THE OTHER 3 WOMEN AS "WHEREVER I MAY ROAM" PLAYED AND PYROMANIA TRIED TO COLLECT HIMSELF.

J.R.: "This situation is still far from over folks! Pyromania got duped into this match and now he's been cheated out of the victory"!

BACKSTAGE AREA....

SHAWN MICHAELS IS SHOWN WALKING DOWN THE HALL, GETTING READY FOR HIS MATCH WHEN HIGH OCTANE COMES UP.

Shawn Michaels: "Hey man".

High Octane: "What's up"?

Michaels: "I'm just trying to get ready for this thing man..... a spot at WrestleMania's main event is on the line".

High Octane: "Well uh, I, good luck out there man".

Michaels: "Is everything okay Damion? You seem a little weird".

High Octane: "Nah man, I'm okay. I wanna see the real Heartbreak Kid bring this one home".

Michaels: "I'll talk to you after the match man".

MICHAELS WALKS AWAY AS THE SHOT GOES BACK TO HULK HOGAN's OFFICE. THERE IS A KNOCK AT THE DOOR.

Hogan: "Come in".

THE DOOR OPENS AND ED LESLIE ENTERS.

Hogan: "Well I'll be damned, you really are coming here".

THEY SHAKE HANDS

Ed Leslie: "How you been"?

Hogan: "Good brother, I feel better than I ever have. So, what brings you back here? I thought you'd had enough of wrestling dude".

Leslie: "To be honest, I still watch it, I can't shake it all from my system. But what I came here for was to ask if you really wanna go through with this match at WrestleMania with Travis Wakeman".

Hogan: (sighs) "Ya know, I kinda had a feeling that's what this was about and I'd hope I'd have your blessing on it. But let me guess, you don't think I should do it".

Leslie: "No Hulk, no I don't. This guy Wakeman, I mean, what do you have to prove to him? This should be an easy decision man. I hate to tell ya, your glory days are behind you".

HOGAN PICKS UP A REMOTE CONTROL AND POINTS IT AT A TV. IT BRINGS UP THE FOOTAGE HE WAS WATCHING EARLIER.

Hogan: "Does any of that look familiar"?

Leslie: "Yes, of course it does. That was the man who transformed this industry. The single greatest there ever was, no one doubts that Hulk.... but it was also twenty years ago. I just don't wanna see you get embarrassed, that's all".

Hogan: "Embarrassed? You think this guy is gonna embarass me? Ya know dude, if I had a nickel for every guy that thought he was gonna embarass me, I'd be richer than I already am. Ya see brother, I do have something to prove to this guy. I have to show him why I was his boyhood idol. I have to show him how I transformed this business and I have to show him what it's gonna take for him to ever walk in my shoes dude! Just one more time, one more time, I wanna hear those chants, I wanna hear those cheers and just one more time, I wanna stand in that ring and look out to all my Hulkamaniacs and tell them how I really feel".

Leslie: "What are you saying"?

Hogan: "I'm saying that at WrestleMania five, I am going into the ring to have a wrestling match and I'm not gonna let anyone stop me.....because it'll be the last time I do".

LESLIE JUST LOOKS INTO HOGAN's EYES AND THE SHOT KICKS BACK TO RINGSIDE.

KURT ANGLE's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT TO A STRONG REACTION. AFTER STICKING HIS 2 INDEX FINGERS IN THE AIR, PYRO AND FIREWORKS POP OFF BEHIND HIM.

J.R.: "Can you believe that King? Hulk Hogan will wrestle his last match at WrestleMania"!

Lawler: "It should've happened about ten years ago J.R., the guy is a fossil"!

J.R.: "His name is also synonomous with this industry but focusing on the task at hand, here is a man who could go from comeback wrestler one year straight to the main event at WrestleMania the next"!

Lawler: "This has been an excellent tournament J.R. and this should be a perfect final match"!

"SEXY BOY" HITS AND SHAWN MICHAELS COMES OUT TO A GREAT POP, PROBABLY THE LOUDEST OF THE EVENING.

J.R.: "Kurt Angle claimed that this was the match every fan wanted to see and I can't think of one who wouldn't, this is WrestleMania quality"!

Lawler: "I gotta pick Angle to win it J.R., he's been on such a roll since coming back to the TWF"!

J.R.: "Both men have been in this situation before but maybe no superstar has more than the Heartbreak Kid which makes it tough to pick against him".

#1 Contender Tournament Final

Kurt Angle vs. Shawn Michaels

On paper, it looked like the best match on the card and it easily was. These two put on an in ring show that's gonna have fans talking for a long time. The match started out with a slow pace as Angle used his mat technique to work Michaels over into a basic armbar. Michaels stood up and tried a flip to escape the hold but Angle ran through him with a clothesline. He got right back on him, locking in a reverse chin lock. But Michaels was able to work back up to a vertical base and drive consecutive elbows into the gut. He tried to run to the ropes but Angle whipped him down hard to the mat. Referee Jack Doan warned Angle to stay away from the hair and Angle pulled Michaels back up, rocking him with a couple right hands. He then shot him to the corner hard and HBK hit it with a ton of velocity. He grabbed his lower back as Angle stalked him and then locked in a chicken wing. Michaels was close to the ropes and he used one of his feet to break the hold by putting it on the ropes. Angle sent him to the corner again but this time, Michaels went up over him and used a sunset flip to get a very near fall. Both men got up and Angle was errant with a hard right hand and Michaels turned it into an atomic drop before hitting the ropes and catching him with a cactus clothesline. Michaels had the adrenaline pumping as he went to the top rope and came off with a flying cross body but Angle rolled through it and hooked the leg to get a 1......2......, but no 3. Both men popped up and Michaels ran right into an overhead belly to belly suplex before pulling his straps down. He then grabbed the left ankle of Michaels but Michaels had it scouted and he rolled over, kicking Angle back. Angle charged back over but Michaels used a drop toe hold into a side headlock. Angle stood up with him and went for a backdrop suplex but HBK flipped off his shoulder and caught Angle with the big superkick, knocking him flat on his back! Michaels jumped over and cover him to get the 1.........2......., but no, Angle was up! Michaels was in disbelief but he decided to go to the top rope, perhaps looking for his flying elbow drop. But before he could come off, Angle ran up the turnbuckle and brought him off with another belly to belly throw. Both men were down but Angle was able to roll over and cover Michaels with 1 arm to get 1.......2....., but Michaels was up. The fans stood up with an ovation, in appreciation of what they were seeing. Angle grabbed one of Michaels legs as both men stood up but Michaels came back with an enziguri. He then picked Kurt up and went for a whip to the corner but Angle reversed it and charged in. But Michaels moved and hit the ropes, looking for a flying forearm but when Angle moved, he nailed Doan! Doan was down as the two men continued to battle but Michaels caught Angle with a flying back elbow after missing with a clothesline. He then went to the top rope, looking for his flying elbow but when he came off, Angle rolled out of the way. With both men exhausted, Angle pulled him to his feet and sent him to the ropes but he missed with a clothesline and Michaels hit the flying forearm before nipping up. Michaels started feeling it as the crowd came to their feet. He started "tuning up the band", warming the foot for the "Sweet Chin Music" but he became distracted when he saw High Octane at ringside, trying to help Doan. When Angle got up, Michaels threw the superkick but he was way off target and Angle went low, taking his left knee out. Michaels went down in a heap and Angle stood up with his left foot in hand before locking in the ankle lock. Michaels tried to crawl to the ropes but Angle just pulled him back into the middle of the ring and Michaels tapped out.

Match Time: 18:23

J.R.: "And Michaels has tapped out! Kurt Angle is going to WrestleMania"!

ANGLE WENT TO THE MAT WITH HIS ARMS IN THE AIR AS HIS MUSIC PLAYED.

Lawler: "What was High Octane doing"?!

J.R.: "He was just trying to do the right thing King and it backfired for Shawn Michaels"!

Lawler: "Yeah, cause all he did was throw off his timing on the Sweet Chin Music"!

J.R.: "Angle will now face the winner of our main event at WrestleMania but I'd love to put my name on the list of people who would like to see another Angle-HBK match"!

TWF World Title Match

Challenger... Nathan Jones vs. The Undertaker

As the bell sounded, Taker got into a fighting stance but Jones kept him back with some quick martial arts kicks. After a lockup, Jones backed Taker to the corner and even though referee Earl Hebner called for a break, he headbutted the World champion. Jones then roughed him up with his aggressive attack and began to physically dominate the match. Jones grabbed Undertaker with two hands around the throat and took him to his knees. Long liked what he saw but after a 5 count, Hebner forced him to let go, threatening a DQ. Jones stayed on the attack, relentlessly going to Undertaker's midsection. After driving several shoulders into his gut in the corner, Jones threw him to the mat, face first. But when he went for a legdrop, Undertaker moved. Realizing what type of a fight he was in, Undertaker fired back with his soup bone right hands before whipping Jones to the corner but Jones booted him in the face and then caught him with a roundhouse kick that put him down. Jones made an ugly cover and it only got him a 2 count. Jones pulled the champion up and threw him to the corner, going back to the lower body with some hard kidney shots. Jones then put him down with a scoop slam before letting out a rabid cry. Jones pulled him up and whipped him to the ropes but Undertaker ducked a backhand and caught him with a flying clothesline. After waiting for Jones to get to his feet, Undertaker scooped him up for the Tombstone but Jones countered it and drove him into the mat with a running powerslam but Taker was up at 2. Jones went for an irish whip but had it reversed and Taker booted him in the face. He then grabbed his arm and showed the fans one of his favorite moves, the Old School club to the back. As the fans came to their feet, Teddy Long got on the apron and just slapped Taker in the back of the head. But he soon realized that it was a mistake when Taker grabbed him around the throat and brought him into the ring with a chokeslam that the crowd absolutely loved. Undertaker then raised 1 arm in the air and Jones stumbled up, right into the deadman's grasp. Undertaker then lifted him up and dropped him with the "Last Ride", hooking the leg for the 1........2........3.

Match Time: 9:37

"YOU'RE GONNA PAY" HIT AS UNDERTAKER WAS GIVEN HIS BELT AND THE FANS WERE GOING NUTS.

J.R.: "It may noy have been pretty, but the Undertaker has survived a serious test to remain champion"!

Lawler: "I still can't get over what he did to Teddy Long! He should be fined"!

J.R.: "Civil Rights has paid and paid good at Code Red! Deadman, Inc. will host the main event at WrestleMania"!
