THE TICK, TOCK SOUND OF A GRANDFATHER CLOCK IS HEARD AS THE TWO HANDS SHOW IT IS JUST MINUTES BEFORE 12 O'CLOCK. THE CLOCK IS THE ONLY THINK SEEN IN A VERY DARK, QUIET ROOM. A SINGLE LIT CANDLE SITS ON A TABLE AND A SCRATCHY VOICE STARTS TO TALK AS A VIDEO CLIP OF JASON OLIVER PUSHING MARIA OFF THE RING APRON.
Voice: "They say the one thing a man should never do..... is put his hands on another man's woman".
THE CLOCK STRIKES 12 AND A BELL BEGINS TO RING AS THE SHOT SWITCHES TO A VIDEO FILLED WITH ARMORED KNIGHTS ON HORSEBACK, JOUSTING. AN EMPTY THRONE IS SHOWN ON A MAKESHIFT STAGE AMID A CHEERING CROWD. SHOTS OF SHEAMUS, JOHN MORRISON, KOFI KINGSTON, DOLPH ZIGGLER, SEBASTIAN CAIN, KEN DOLL, KEVIN THORN AND TROY GAFGEN ARE ALL SHOWN BEFORE A VERY ELEGANT JEWEL-FILLED CROWN IS SHOWN. JASON OLIVER IS THEN SHOWN KISSING MARIA ON TWF MAIN EVENT.
Voice: "But...... what will be the consequences for a man who doesn't adhere to that"?
THE CANDLE IS THEN BLOWN OUT. A LOUD, SHRIEKING SCREAM IS HEARD.... FOLLOWED BY A SINISTER LAUGH BEFORE THE SHOT FADES TO BLACK.
"WELCOME TO DETROIT" BY TRICK TRICK AND EMINEM COMES ON AND THE ARENA IS SHOWN BLARING WITH THE SOUNDS OF THE CROWD. THE ROVING CAMERA GETS A LOOK AT SOME OF THE CREATIVE SIGNS BEING HELD UP AND WAVED.
"I'M READY TO SEE THE EMPIRE GO UP IN FLAMES", SAID ONE SIGN WHILE A FEMALE FAN HOLDING A SIGN SAYING "KING DOLPH" WAS SHOWN PROMINENTLY.
Scott Hudson: "The Joe in Detroit..... one of the most famous arenas in the world is the site for TWF DoomsDay and if you're a TWF historian, you'd know that the very first edition of DoomsDay was held right here"! PJ Cash: "But that event was missing two things..... the King of the Ring tournament and the greatest commentator in the business, me! We've got both of those things tonight, Hudson"! Hudson: "That we do, although the second one I'd be willing to debate. As always for pay-per-view, we're not here alone..... J.R., King.... how the heck are ya"? Jerry Lawler: "Hey PJ, how do you deal with that guy"? PJ Cash: "Probably the same way you deal with that loudmouth cowboy, King". Jim Ross: "We're not gonna get into that tonight, okay, we're just not gonna go there. You guys are here to call the action for PrimeTime so please, just focus on that". "BARBIE GIRL" BY AQUA COMES ON AS THE FAMILIAR PINK CORVETTE PULLS INTO THE ARENA. BOOS FOLLOW AS A PINK SMOKE STARTS TO BILLOW FROM THE ENTRANCE. KEN DOLL AND LACEY VON ERICH ARE INSIDE THE VEHICLE. Lawler: "And look who we're starting things out with...... Ken Doll and Lacey.... and Lacey looks like she's all set to be queen"! LACEY STEPS OUT OF THE CAR WEARING A BLACK DRESS AND A TIARA ON HER HEAD. J.R.: "Yeah, prom queen maybe". J.R.: "Oh shut up, J.R., you're just mad because you could never look like either of these two and in my opinion, this guy could be the next king of the TWF". J.R.: "Lord help us if that happens". "BLACK" BY SEVENDUST COMES ON AND SEBASTIAN CAIN COMES OUT DRESSED IN GREEN AND BLACK TIGHTS. HE GETS A VERY POSITIVE RESPONSE. MOMENTS LATER, HE IS FOLLOWED OUT BY DREW McINTYRE. Lawler: "It looks like Sebastian Cain has a little help too". J.R.:" Oh yeah, his Scottish servant is with him". Lawler: "Scottish servant? Are you kidding me, J.R.? I'm gonna tell him you said that". J.R.: "Go ahead.... and I'll just tell McIntyre to make him wash his gear or something. But in all seriousness folks, this is our first match in tonight's King of the Ring tournament and we will crown a new king tonight". Lawler: "The man who wins the crown tonight will have to go through three opponents to do it". King of the Ring Tournament 1st Round Ken Doll w/ Lacey Von Erich vs. Sebastian Cain w/ Drew McIntyre After the bell sounded, Cain patiently waited for Doll to take off his jeans and some sort of sweater vest he wore to the ring. The two men then locked up and it was Cain who went to one knee and gained a waistlock on Doll. Doll tried to get free but Cain ran him to the ring ropes only to be caught with a back elbow right in the mouth. Doll followed that with 2 hard right hands before going for an irish whip but Cain reversed that and delivered a big hip toss. After running through Doll with a clothesline, Cain got him up but Doll punched him in the gut before running the ropes. Cain missed with a wild clothesline and Doll connected with a jumping heel kick. Doll then did some kind of dance which drew nothing but boos before going to the top rope. He measured Cain as he got up and then flew off with a blockbuster neckbreaker. Doll quickly went into a cover, but Cain pushed him off at 2. Doll got Cain up and sent him for the ride into the ropes. But Cain held onto them to avoid a dropkick and when Doll got to his feet, he was scooped up and driven into the mat with a spinebuster. Doll rolled out of the ring trying to regroup and Lacey came over to console him. But McIntyre came around after Cain motioned over to him and he tried to get in the middle of the two. Lacey tried to slap him but McIntyre caught her hand, only to have Doll crack him with a right hand. Cain ran over and took Doll out with a baseball slide and then left the ring. Doll hurried to his feet and got in a kick before shaking off the effects of that baseball slide. Referee Chad Patton was counting as the two men slugged it out on the floor. Finally, Cain landed a hard forearm that knocked Doll to the floor and then slid back in with Patton at the count of 8. Doll got up and tried to return to the ring but before he could, McIntyre came back into the picture and grabbed his right leg, yanking him back to the floor. Patton didn't catch that but he did reach the count of 10 and awarded the match to Cain. Match Time: 4:19 Lawler: "What the heck was that?! Sebastian Cain isn't supposed to be getting help with his matches this way"! J.R.: "Oh if it was Lacey doing that to Sebastian, you would've remarked about how damn smart she was"! "BLACK" PLAYED AGAIN AS A FURIOUS KEN DOLL GRABBED HIS SWEATER VEST AND REPEATEDLY SLAPPED IT AGAINST THE RING STEPS. HE THEN THREW THE VEST AT CAIN, WHO INVITED HIM BACK INTO THE RING. Lawler: "It wasn't supposed to go like this..... it was supposed to be Ken and Bar...... Ken and Lacey's night"! J.R.: "Sebastian is willing to give him another crack at him.... looks like Ken doesn't want any part of it". KEN AND LACEY STORMED OFF IN ANGER AS THE CROWD HECKLED THEM. Lawler: "That corvette was going to be traded in for a royal chariot"! J.R.: "But instead, Sebastian Cain advances to the next round and will now face the winner of the match between Sheamus and John Morrison". SHORTLY AFTER CAIN GETS BACKSTAGE, JOHN MORRISON's MUSIC PLAYS AND HE COMES OUT TO A GOOD CHEER. Lawler: "And it looks like we're gonna jump straight into that match now". J.R.: "John Morrison has a stiff test in front of him tonight in the Celtic Warrior but I believe that Morrison can rely on his sheer athletic ability and provide Sheamus a lot of fits". MORRISON GETS INTO THE RING AND REMOVES HIS TRADEMARK FUR COAT. HE THEN STANDS IN WAIT OF SHEAMUS. J.R.: "John Morrison defeated Blade to qualify for the tournament and to me, Morrison is the kind of guy with the stamina and ability to get through three matches tonight". "TOO MANY LIES" COMES ON AND BOOS SOON FOLLOW. Lawler: "Yes, but Sheamus is bigger and stronger than Morrison. All the athletic ability in the world won't matter if Sheamus catches Morrison with one of those Brogue kicks"! J.R.: "Sheamus is of course a former King of Cable champion but adding the King of the Ring to his resume would catapult his career in an even bigger way...... where is he"? SHEAMUS STILL HADN'T COME OUT AND MORRISON WAS EAGER TO GET THE MATCH STARTED. Lawler: "He's makin' Morrison think about this". J.R.: "Oh look out..... it's Sheamus.... from behind"! SHEAMUS CAME FROM OUT OF THE CROWD AND INTO THE RING, SMASHING MORRISON WITH A DOUBLE SLEDGE TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD. Lawler: "Wow.... he just knocked the stuffing out of Morrison"! J.R.: "Come on..... disqualify this guy! The referee should not start this match"! King of the Ring First Round Sheamus vs. John Morrison Referee Scott Armstrong asked Morrison if he wanted to continue and Morrison nodded his head yes. Sheamus was salivating at this point, measuring him. Morrison got up and was smacked with a Brogue Kick. Sheamus went into the cover and got 1............2........, but Morrison kicked out! Sheamus got him up and whipped him into the corner, charging in. Morrison moved out of the way and then sprung off the ring ropes, catching Sheamus with the Chuck Kick. After a standing shooting star press, Morrison made the cover but Sheamus pushed him off at about 1 and a half. Morrison had the crowd's full support and he went to the turnbuckle but Sheamus got right up and clubbed Morrison across the back of the head again. Morrison was hurt and Sheamus got in position for the "High Cross", grabbing both of Morrison's arms. He then lifted him over his head and delivered the nasty powerbomb. Morrison was not kicking out after that and he didn't. Match Time: 2:32 Lawler: "And that does it.... Sheamus advances"! J.R.: "That was a sham and you know it! I'd like to see The Empire step in and make sure Sheamus doesn't do that in the next round, but I know that's asking too much"! "TOO MANY LIES" PLAYED AS SHEAMUS LEFT THE RING WITH A BIG SMILE ON HIS FACE. Lawler: "It looks like it will now be Sheamus taking on Sebastian Cain"! J.R.: "Yes, but I think under different, legal circumstances, we would have seen a different result here"! BACKSTAGE AREA....... IN THE BACK, COURTNEY TAYLOR IS WITH CHRIS TIRPAK. Courtney Taylor: "Chris, tonight you face Axl Irvin for the King of Cable title. Any...... Chris Tirpak (cutting her off): "Let's just get straight to it, toots. Even though I have done most everything in my career that Axl Irvin has done in his, he doesn't respect me. Even though it was me who returned the WrestleMania Jackpot briefcase that he wasn't even going to have the chance to use..... he didn't respect me..... he shrugs me off like I'm some nobody. Axl, tonight, after I take that King of Cable title...... we'll see if you respect me then". TIRPAK WALKS AWAY, HEADING FOR THE RING. J.R.: "Chris Tirpak with some strong words there, King and it appears that we are ready for the King of Cable title match". Lawler: "These are two guys I think most people assumed were friends but it seems like there is some deep rooted anger, at least from the side of Tirpak"! "FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS" BY METALLICA STARTS UP AND FANS START TO LOOK AROUND THE STANDS BEFORE A SPOTLIGHT FINDS CHRIS TIRPAK, MAKING HIS WAY THROUGH THE CROWD. TIRPAK DOES NOT SEEM HIS NORMAL SELF, HEADING TO THE RING IN A HURRY. J.R.: "A couple of interesting notes in this one..... Axl Irvin has held this title since August but Chris Tirpak has not held a title of any kind since 2003". "THE REALEST" BY YOUNG JEEZY COMES ON AND AXL IRVIN COMES OUT FROM THE BACK TO THE GOOD CHEER. HE HAS THE KING OF CABLE TITLE AROUND HIS WAIST. Lawler: "I asked Axl Irvin earlier today if he was surprised by that attack by Tirpak back on Rampage in that tag team match and he said he was almost happy about it because he's been wanting to get him in the ring for awhile". J.R.: "Well he's got his wish tonight, with the title on the line". TWF King of Cable Title Match Challenger: Chris Tirpak vs. Axl Irvin Tirpak was given a look at the belt from referee Scott Martin who then handed it to ring announcer Stephen DeAngelis and called for the bell to start the match. Axl and Tirpak met in the middle of the ring, throwing punches. Tirpak's were connecting while Axl's weren't, but when he went for an irish whip, Axl reversed it and planted him with a spinebuster. Axl then went outside to the apron and used the ropes to slingshot into the ring with a flying shoulder tackle when Tirpak got up. He made a cover attempt, but didn't even get a 2 count. Axl pulled Tirpak up and smashed his chest with 3 hard slaps before grabbing him by the face and yelling "You wanted me"! only to have Tirpak reverse him and fling him into the corner, landing some hard right hands. He then shot him to the far corner and ran in. Axl stuck his right foot in his face and then ran out of the corner. Tirpak crouched down and was able to get Axl up onto his shoulders but Axl slipped free and then caught Tirpak with an impaler DDT. Axl then went over to Tirpak and grabbed him by the head with 2 hands, ramming the back of his head into the mat repeatedly. He then pulled him up and ran the ropes, looking for a clothesline. But he missed badly and Tirpak delivered a boot to the face. Tirpak got his bearings back and went to the middle turnbuckle. He then walked across the middle ring rope and went for an elbow drop, but missed when Axl rolled out of the way. "Get up..... get up"! yelled the champion. When Tirpak got to his feet, he grabbed him around the head, looking for the "Axl Cutter". But Tirpak showed great ring sense, holding the top rope to block it. Axl then turned right into his clutches and Tirpak got him onto his shoulders, delivering an harsh version of the "Lights Out". He then went into the cover and got the pinfall. Match Time: 4:46 "FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS" CAME ON AGAIN AND MARTIN RAISED THE ARM OF TIRPAK BEFORE HANDING HIM THE BELT. J.R.: "Chris Tirpak has done it! Lights Out for Axl Irvin"! Lawler: "One of the biggest wins for Tirpak in a long time"! THE CROWD APPRECIATED THE EFFORT OF TIRPAK AND APPLAUDED THE VICTORY AS HE SOAKED IT UP IN THE RING. J.R.: "A great win for Tirpak and I hate to cut his celebration short..... but we've got something going on in the back......... BACKSTAGE...... CAMERAMEN ARE HURRYING IN TO AN AREA BACKSTAGE WHERE JOHN CENA IS SHOWN LYING FACE DOWN ON THE GROUND. A POOL OF BLOOD HAS FORMED RIGHT UNDER HIS FACE AND HE APPEARS TO BE UNCONSCIOUS. "I AM PERFECTION" HITS AND DOLPH ZIGGLER COMES OUT FROM THE BACK TO NOTHING BUT BOOS. Scott Hudson: "What in the hell is going on back there?! It looks like John Cena was the victim of a heinous attack, PJ"! PJ Cash: "Oh who cares?! I'm just happy about the fact that finally, the viewers don't have to listen to J.R. and The King! I mean, the first forty five minutes of this event have been consumed by those two fools"! Hudson: "Oh classy, real classy.... sorry guys". Cash: "Let's talk about this match, how's that sound? Here comes Dolph Ziggler as he is set to face Air Jamaica and boy, would that crown and robe look good on this guy or what"? Hudson: "Air Jamaica? Boy you're just full of it tonight aren't ya"? KOFI KINGSTON's THEME COMES ON AND HE EMERGES FROM THE BACK TO A BIG POP AS PYRO SHOOTS OFF THE STAGE. Cash: "Hey, I'll show Kingston respect when he earns it.... all he's done to this point is jump around and say "Boom, boom, boom.... not impressive"! Hudson: "Nonetheless a huge opportunity in the careers of both of these men and if you ask me, this will be the best match in the entire tournament tonight". King of the Ring Tournament First Round Dolph Ziggler vs. Kofi Kingston Ziggler went into his amateur wrestling background, trying to keep Kofi grounded. He was able to take him to the mat after getting control with a waistlock but Kofi worked hard to get free. He then ducked a clothesline and went for "Trouble in Paradise" but Ziggler avoided that and caught Kofi with a running knee lift. Ziggler then shouted something to the crowd which drew some boos before focusing back on Kofi. He ran him over with a clothesline and made the cover for the 1......2........, but Kofi popped out. Ziggler pulled him up but Kofi pushed him away and drilled him with a round kick to the head. Ziggler fell straight to the mat and Kofi followed that up with the Boom Drop. Kofi was rolling and the crowd was energized in cheering for him as he went to the top rope, coming off with an incredible crossbody. He hit it and took Ziggler to the mat, hooking both of his legs and getting 1.............2.........., but Dolph showed some great upper body strength by still kicking out. Kofi belted Ziggler with some stiff kicks before knocking him into the corner. He then backed up and flew in but Ziggler stepped out and caught him around the waist, dropping him face first on the steel post behind the turnbuckles. Kofi was obviously hurt from the impact and Ziggler followed up with the "Zigzag", covering him for the win. Match Time: 5:10 Hudson: "And Dolph Ziggler has advanced.... if I didn't know better, I'd say Kofi is out cold". Cash: "What a brilliant counter by Ziggler.... that's called knowing your surroundings and making the most of them"! "I AM PERFECTION" PLAYED AGAIN AS ZIGGLER LEFT THE RING, BUT THE MATCH SEEMED TO HAVE TAKEN A TOLL ON HIM. BACKSTAGE....... CAMERAS IN THE BACK SHOW PARAMEDICS CROWDED AROUND WITH TWF AGENTS BARRY DARSOW, MIKE ROTUNDA, MARTY JANNETTY AND RICKY STEAMBOAT AS JOHN CENA IS LOADED ONTO A STRETCHER AND INTO AN AMBULANCE. THE PARAMEDICS ARE DOING THEIR BEST TO KEEP CENA's HEAD STILL. IT IS A VERY UNEASY SCENE. "RUN TO THE HILLS" BY IRON MAIDEN COMES ON AND TROY GAFGEN COMES OUT TO BOOS. Cash: "Don't even chime in, Hudson, I don't want to hear about John Cena. For all we know, he slipped on a banana peel back there". Hudson: "Well we both know that didn't happen.... I smell a rat"! Cash: "We have one more first round match in the King of the Ring tournament and this one will likely feature zero wrestling holds". Hudson: "Fans we are being told that John Cena is being transported to a local medical facility here in Detroit.... what that means for the Universal title match scheduled for tonight........ Cash: "We don't care"! THE LIGHTS GO OUT IN THE ARENA AND "MI DESTROYERO" COMES ON, BRINGING KEVIN THORN OUT ALONG WITH ARIEL. MOSTLY ALL BOOS SOON FOLLOW. Hudson: "I believe there are people out there who do". Cash: "Scott, our job is to call the match in the ring, not play reporter for the local news station. What I see is Kevin Thorn coming to the ring, a man who has to be the favorite to win this whole tournament". Hudson: "Troy Gafgen says he has something to prove with Richard Ramsley being gone and speaking of that, Ramsley is also in a hospital". Cash: "Don't even try to segway that into poor John Cena...... Kevin Thorn and Troy Gafgen are ready to go at it. Did you realize that all of these tournament matches have a fifteen minute time limit? That's the info we should be passing on to the viewers, Hudson". King of the Ring First Round Troy Gafgen vs. Kevin Thorn w/ Ariel Thorn removed his long robe and handed that and his walking stick to Ariel before Gafgen came up and got right in Thorn's face. An intense staredown ensued and Thorn was visually growing irate inside. Not intimidated at all, Gafgen rocked Thorn with a right hand before running the ropes. Thorn came back with a big boot that dropped Gafgen followed by a hard elbow drop. Thorn made a lateral press, but Gafgen pushed him off before even a 2 count. Thorn pulled him up and whipped him to the ropes but Gafgen was able to avoid a swinging backhand and catch Thorn with a running boot of his own. Gafgen stayed on the attack, picking Thorn up and driving him into the mat with a sidewalk slam. After a running legdrop, Gafgen was ready to put the finishing touches on a big upset. As he pulled Thorn in for a powerbomb, Ariel got up on the apron. Referee Marty Elias went over and ordered her down, but the distraction allowed Thorn to drop to one knee and deliver a vicious lowblow. After throwing Gafgen shoulder first into the steel post, he then delivered a big backdrop suplex, depositing Gafgen right on the back of his head. He then went into the cover as Elias dropped down to issue the 3 count. Match Time: 5:06 Cash: "A tough break for Gafgen, but Thorn advances"! Hudson: "Kevin Thorn was able to take advantage of a distraction from Ariel, one of many she has performed over the years, and Thorn moves on". ARIEL AND THORN CELEBRATED THE WIN IN THE RING AS THE CROWD LOOKED ON. Cash: "You gotta wonder what that crown would look like on that man's head, Hudson! Kevin Thorn is my pick to win this thing"! THE CAMERAS FOCUS ON A DISPLAY CASE AT RINGSIDE WITH TWO TITLE BELTS INSIDE. Hudson: "Fans coming up next, we will unify the TWF Tag Team and Rampage Tag Team titles.... a history making moment is not far away"! Lawler: "Rampage has had some great teams hold the titles, but none of them have approached what the BoogeySaints have been able to do"! J.R.: "Amazingly, two years ago today, they won those belts"! Cash: "We all know the history of The BoogeySaints, but tonight they face a team that is so intent on ending their reign that they abducted Monica in order to get this match". Hudson: "Brand new tag team title belts have been created for the winners and boy, those are nice lookin'". Cash: "That's as close as you'll ever get to something like that, Scott, but we're about to see two teams go to war here over what's in that glass case". "REMEMBER THE NAME" BY FORT MINOR COMES ON AND CHAOS WOLF STEPS OUT FROM THE BACK TO A GOOD CHEER. FOLLOWING BEHIND HIM IS MARK HENRY. Hudson: "If you remember, it was actually the TWF viewers that put this tag team together and what a team they make. Chaos Wolf and Mark Henry could very well be the team to end this reign". J.R.: "There is no doubt the power of Henry along with the true grit and improving in ring ability of Chaos Wolf make up a tremendous duo but what they face tonight is easily the most unorthodox, hardest to figure team I have ever seen compete". BOOS POUR INTO "THE JOE" AS "I WILL BE HEARD" BLARES OVER THE SOUND SYSTEM, BRINGING THE BOOGEYSAINTS OUT. MONICA LEADS THE TEAM OF EDDIE SAINT JAMES AND THE BOOGEYMAN TO THE RING AND THEY LOOK READY. Lawler: "This team actually asked for people like us to quit mentioning the likes of the Legion of Doom and Bahamut and Strife when we talk about the best team ever...... Cash: "And that is absolutely asinine, Mister Lawler. For us to call these two clowns the best ever is such a disgrace to tag team wrestling. I realize they've never been beaten, but look at these guys. They look more like guys who belong in ICP's Dark Carnival than they do a wrestling ring". J.R.: "Yet they've beaten every team that's gotten in their way and if they win tonight, who knows if they'll ever be beaten". TWF Tag Team Title Unification Match Chaos Wolf and Mark Henry vs. The BoogeySaints w/ Monica Before the bell rang to officially start the match, an enraged Monica went and jumped on the back of Mark Henry, trying to choke him. He easily shook her off but she got up and slapped him across the face. Chaos Wolf spun her around and with a clenched fist, he looked ready to strike her. From behind came Eddie Saint James who looked like he'd completely lost his mind, attacking Wolf. Monica scrambled to get out of the ring as The Saint pounded away at Wolf. Referee Jose Mendez moved in, warning The Saint to get off. Finally Henry tried to come in and Mendez turned to stop him, allowing Wolf to get up and kick The Saint right in the groin. He then dropped the big man with a clothesline before mimicking the usual gyrations from The Boogeyman, drawing plenty of laughs from the crowd. After a basement dropkick on Saint James, Wolf made the exchange to Henry and it looked like curtains for the long time champs as he smashed The Saint with a big splash. But Mendez was distracted by Monica who was up on the apron. He demanded she get down but Henry got up and gave her a verbal warning of his own. He turned back and went for an elbow drop but The Saint got out of the way. Beaten up in the early moments of the match, he was still able to get the tag to The Boogeyman. Henry got up and Boogeyman was all over him with chops to the chest and a kick to the stomach. He then ran the ropes and flew at Henry but the World's Strongest Man snatched him right out of mid air and slammed him to the mat. After landing an elbow drop, Henry tagged back to Wolf who came in and drilled a seated Boogeyman with a running boot to the side of the head. He made a cover but Boogeyman kicked out at 2. With both men back on their feet, Wolf began to really tear into Boogeyman with right hands before ducking a clothesline and delivering a facebuster on his knee. He then ran the ropes but Monica once again interjected herself, grabbing the foot of Wolf. Mendez saw the whole thing and he ordered Monica to the back, much to the delight of the crowd. Monica was furious and debated the decision but Mendez threatened to disqualify The BoogeySaints. In the ring, Wolf and Henry combined to deliver a double clothesline on Boogeyman. Wolf made the cover and got a 1.............2..........., but Boogeyman was up. Wolf got him up and dropped Boogeyman with a discus punch, sending a wad of saliva flying out of Boogeyman's mouth. The BoogeySaints appeared to be getting desperate as The Saint entered the ring, but Henry came in too and he held him off as Mendez did his best to restore order. But the camera got a shot of an unidentified blonde woman hop over the guardrail from the crowd. A member of arena security tried to grab her but she slapped him in the face. She had a purse over her shoulder and she pulled out some sort of foreign object out of it, striking Chaos Wolf in the back of the head as she stood on the apron. Wolf turned and grabbed his head, seeing the woman walk away. From behind came The Boogeyman and he scooped Wolf up, driving him into the mat with the "Boogeyslam". A cover was made and Mendez pounded the mat 3 times! Match Time: 10:09 Hudson: "What the heck is going on?! Who was that.... and what did she hit him with"?! J.R.: "I'm asking the same questions, but it doesn't look like it matters.... this match is over"! AS "I WILL BE HEARD" PLAYED AGAIN, MONICA CAME RUNNING OUT AND STOOD AS THE DISPLAY CASE WAS OPENED. SHE SNATCHED BOTH BRAND NEW TITLES AND GOT INTO THE RING, HANDING THEM TO BOOGEYMAN AND EDDIE SAINT JAMES. Cash: "I can't believe that this team continues to win..... and even with Monica being sent to the back, they still did it". Lawler: "The BoogeySaints have done it again". J.R.: "Well not without a cloud of mystery surrounding things.... did anyone even see where that woman went"? A REPLAY OF THE WOMAN COMING FROM THE CROWD AND THEN ATTACKING CHAOS WOLF ROLLS....... Hudson: "Well she went right over our broadcast table and back through this crowd..... I didn't recognize her". J.R.: "Well we're gonna have to switch gears here as you see several ladders being set up around the ring..... we've got a TLC match coming up but this place is still buzzing". Scott Hudson: "Ladies and gentlemen, joining us at this ti...
PJ Cash: "Shut up, Hudson. Ladies and gentlemen, I am the most important man to announcing since Vin Scully and that is exactly why I am taking over the interviewing duties for this next man. Feast your eyes on the TWF tron, ladies and gentlemen, because I give you none other than Cayden Cole"!
OUR CAMERAS POINT TO THE TITANTRON AND SEE CAYDEN COLE STANDING BY IN THE BACKSTAGE AREA WITH A PAIR OF DOG TAGS, A SLEEVELESS BLACK SHIRT READING "STANFORD CARDINAL" AND HIS WRESTLING GEAR.
PJ Cash: Now that all of these morons in Detroit have had a chance to let their brains process what's going on, Cayden, there's a question that I, and the entire TWF locker room wants to know. What is going on with you and the other superstars that PrimeTime acquired in the new superstar package"?
Cayden Cole: What's going on is pretty simple, Cash, we're about to put on the match of the night. Other than that, I know as much as you. I don't know if they like looking at me up close because I have some nice tattoos and they wanna read 'em, or if they simply wanna scout the competition. All I know is that they have me in the ring tonight so no matter what they think, it's irrelevant. I'm going to show I'm the best tonight and every night I'm in that ring".
Cash: "Well it's clear that you have no shortage of confidence, which is important. You kind of remind me of.... well... me! Guys like you and I, we go far in life because of that very trait. Enough about that though. Let's talk about your opponents here tonight. Vance Archer, Tyler Reks, and Justin Gabriel. Which of those three men do you see the most potential in? Who do you see as your biggest threat in the TLC match tonight"?
Cayden Cole: Ah, man... I mean, these three all have incredible potential. They're all good at different things, also. Archer is a unique guy because he's so big yet so athletic. He's a threat in every style of match and he's one of the few big men who I think can make his way up a ladder as well as me. Tyler Reks... he's just vicious, man. He has no quit and his only goal is to hurt people. Justin Gabriel, though, he's the star of this batch in many eyes. The athletic ability is almost unmatched and his high flying ability is the same. So in terms of who is the biggest threat... it's any one of them at any given moment. The true biggest threat in this match, though, is myself. My strength, athletic ability, and most importantly, my intelligence, are what's gonna bring me this win".
Cash: "Now, being a former rookie of the year myself, I know how great it is to be recognized by your peers as the best new guy in the company. Could that possibly be one of your aspirations here in the TWF? What are your long term goals here? Tell us what your number one priority is as a wrestler here in the number one wrestling company in the world".
Cayden Cole: "Awards are all good and well but I'm not trying to prove I'm the best rookie, I'm just trying to prove that I'm the best in the world, overall. I might be new, I might be young, and I might be some fresh out of college kid... But I've always been the best at everything I do. That won't change here".
Cash: "There has been a lot of mystery surrounding you since your arrival here not too long ago. People have been scouting Archer, Gabriel, and Reks for a while now. However, not much is known about you, Cayden Cole. How long have you been wrestling? Was it always your dream? The fans are curious to find out more about you. Who is Cayden Cole? What does he stand for"?
Cayden Cole: "That's easy, man... I'm just the best. The best now and the best for the future. Now excuse me, if you will, I have a match to win". Cash: "Of course. I would thank you for your time, but I think mine is actually a little more valuable. This has been the TWF's best and only roaming reporter, the million dollar mogul, the Primetime prodigy... your favorite announcer and mine, PJ Cash". Hudson: "Would you just sit down........ THE SHOT GOES TO THE BACKSTAGE AREA WHERE TRAVIS WAKEMAN AND TRISH ARE ENJOYING A MOMENT ALONE OVER BY CATERING. CAMERAS SHOW JORDAN ROCKWELL APPEAR IN THE BACKGROUND. TRISH INTERRUPTS WAKEMAN TO POINT IT OUT AFTER SHE SEES HIM. Wakeman: "What the hell are you doing here"? Jordan Rockwell: "I've been waiting for you to get away from the rest of your buddies so I can ask you a question... and I want an honest answer". Wakeman: "I won't make that promise". Rockwell: "Cena...... it's obvious it's The Empire's doing.... I just want to know, what did Corey do to earn that"? Wakeman: "Listen, Sherlock Holmes, if The Empire wanted to take out Cena.... we would.... and we'd gladly say we did. It wasn't us...... Rockwell: "It's either you..... or Corey is just that afraid to defend his title". ROCKWELL WALKS AWAY, NOT SATISFIED WITH WAKEMAN's ANSWER AT ALL. THE SHOT GOES BACK TO THE RING WHERE TYLER REKS, JUSTIN GABRIEL AND VANCE ARCHER ARE ALREADY IN THE RING. SURPRISINGLY, THEY CAME TO THE RING TOGETHER. "ADRENALINE" BY GAVIN ROSSDALE HITS AND CAYDEN COLE COMES OUT NEXT. HE IS MET WITH MOSTLY CHEERS. Hudson: "As you said in your interview, there is no shortage of confidence with this guy but this is just such a strange match. I mean, three of these guys came out here together". Cash: "It's about something different here, Hudson..... these guys are out here to show what they can do..... this is a coming out party for these guys". Hudson: "And a huge coming out party it is..... a TLC match"! THE EMPIRE THEME COMES ON AND ALBA RIOS COMES OUT AND IS LOUDLY BOOED. Alba Rios: "Okay guys.... it's TLC. As you can see, there is a briefcase hanging above that ring and inside is an open contract for a title match..... whoever wins will become the challenger for a title determined by us..... The Empire! Good luck"! Cash: "A title match to the winner? Now there's extra incentive"! Hudson: "It sounds like The Empire will decide which title the winner will challenge for, but that's a huge bonus"! TLC Match Tyler Reks vs. Justin Gabriel vs. Vance Archer vs. Cayden Cole As the bell sounded, the 4 men circled each other and seemed to be on some level of understanding as they all nodded at one another. Reks and Archer then began trading shots in the center of the ring and Cole went straight to the outside, grabbing a steel chair. He came into the ring with it and wedged it in the corner but Gabriel came from behind with a shot to the back. He then peppered Cole with some kicks but Cole pushed him into the waiting arms of Archer who delivered a full nelson slam. Archer then charged Cole with a clothesline but Cole ducked only to be powerslam by Reks. Right when Reks got up, Archer kicked him in the abdomen and threw him head first into the chair that was stuffed between the ring ropes. Archer went and pulled Gabriel up and tried to throw him out of the ring but Gabriel landed on the apron. He then drove a shoulder into Archer's gut before clipping him with a soccer style kick right in the face! Archer fell to the mat, his nose busted open and gushing blood. Gabriel grabbed a ladder and put it in the ring but before he could get it all the way in, Cole slid on the mat with a dropkick that drove one of the legs of the ladder into Gabriel's chest. Cole pulled the ladder into the ring and set it up. He began to climb it but 3 rungs up, Reks came from behind and got Cole up in the electric chair, falling to the mat with him. Even with a bloodied nose, Archer had set up a table outside the ring and he got back in, smashing Reks with a clothesline from behind. He then tried to make his way up the ladder himself, but Cole and Gabriel each grabbed a side of it and pushed the ladder over. Archer fell off and crotched himself on the top rope. Gabriel then pulled out the chair that was placed earlier but right when he turned around, Cole delivered a jumping spin kick that drove the chair right into Gabriel's face! A chant of "Holy Shit" started up as Cole, the only man standing in the ring, picked the ladder back up and started to go up again. He got very near the top when Reks came from the other side and pushed it over. Cole landed on his feet when he hit the mat and Reks pounded him with a clothesline. Reks then went outside the ring where Archer was and he placed him on the table. But Gabriel came around from the other side and threw a steel chair right in Reks' face! He then looked at Archer lying on the table and seemed to get an idea. He went into the ring and ran the ropes, gathering a lot of speed. He then leaped over the top rope with a shooting star press and landed it right on Archer, smashing through the table! "This shit rocks" resonated through the arena as all 4 men were down. Gabriel got up and into the ring where he and Cole met, battling it out. Both men missed with roundhouse kicks and then traded punches as Archer and Reks both got into the ring. Archer nailed Cole from behind as Reks took out Gabriel. Reks and Archer then took to the ladder, each trying to go up it. But Cole and Gabriel did what they could to prevent it. Gabriel pulled Reks down by his arm and on the way down, kicked him in the head. On the other side of the ladder, Cole actually used Archer, climbing on and then over him to get ahead of him on the ladder. But Archer turned around and had Cole set up for a powerbomb, only to have Cole counter with a hurracanrana throw, sending Archer out of the ring. But before Cole could recover, Gabriel was all the way up the ladder and he grabbed the briefcase, pulling it down! Match Time: 11:16 Hudson: "Justin Gabriel has won a future title match"! Cash: "What a match..... what a match"! GABRIEL QUICKLY DROPPED THE BRIEFCASE AND HE AND COLE STOOD IN THE CENTER OF THE RING, STARING EACH OTHER DOWN. THE TWO THEN SHOOK HANDS AS THE BEATEN AND BLOODIED REKS AND ARCHER CAME INTO THE SHOT. COLE THEN LEFT THE RING AS GABRIEL LOOKED DOWN AT HIS BRIEFCASE. Hudson: "A very hard to understand situation here, but these guys seem to have earned at least a mutual respect for each other". Cash: "What's hard to understand? Just because they aren't ready to rip each other's heads off.... it's strange"? Hudson: "It was a great effort by all four men and if it was a showcase of what these men have to offer in the future.... their futures are all gleaming". Cash: "For the first time all night we can agree on something"! BACKSTAGE....... The fans cheer as Jordan Rockwell is shown backstage sitting on some crates and he has his eyes closed. He is actually taping up but the cheers turn to booing as Stephanie McMahon comes into the shot.
Stephanie McMahon: "Getting ready to lose?
Rockwell doesn't say a word and remains where he is.........
Stephanie: Nothing to say? No funny jokes or puns?
Rockwell stops taping up and opens his eyes, then gets off the crates he's sitting on.
Stephanie: "Oh, did I break your concentration"?
Jordan Rockwell: "A pig walks through the mud to another pig and says, Hi my name is Stephanie McMahon, oh no no no, a women calls up her doctor and says, I'd like to make an appointment because I think I have an SMD and the receptionist says, I think you mean, std..... and the woman says no, because I looked it up and when you sleep with so many guys and don't know all the diseases you have, it's called Stephanie McMahon disease".
Stephanie: "You better watch your mouth".
Rockwell backs her up against a wall.........
Rockwell: "Or what? You'll go get your boyfriend Money Mike after me? Do me a favor, Steph, tell your boy Mike I said........ castigar a los culpables".
Rockwell walks away leaving Stephanie looking on, obviously having no idea what he just said. "TOO MANY LIES" COMES ON AGAIN AND SHEAMUS COMES OUT FOR HIS SECOND BOUT OF THE NIGHT. Lawler: "Jordan Rockwell is really asking for punishment, isn't he"? J.R.: "Rockwell is set to battle Carney in of all things, an Inferno match tonight, but we've still got a lot of business to take care of in the King of the Ring tournament". Lawler: "We're down to the final four and Sheamus will face Sebastian Cain and you and I both know how Sheamus has gotten the better end of things with Cain every single time, J.R.". "BLACK" PLAYS AND SEBASTIAN CAIN COMES OUT TO A GREAT CHEER. J.R.: "There is little doubt about that and I'm sure that is in the back of Cain's mind..... but he looks ready to go"! Lawler: "Yes but so is the Celtic Warrior..... a man who seems to have a lot more than just Sebastian Cain's number"! J.R.: "The winner here qualifies for the finals"! King of the Ring Semi-Finals Sheamus vs. Sebastian Cain Cain walked up to a smirking Sheamus as the match got underway and Sheamus excitedly beat his chest. He then tried to throw a cheap shot but Cain was ready for it, blocking it and striking with a punch of his own. He backed Sheamus up with 2 more shots before going for an irish whip. Sheamus reversed it and swung with his double sledge but Cain ducked it and came off the other side with a flying forearm that was right on the money. The fans were fired up, as was Cain, and Sheamus rolled out of the ring, trying to regroup. But Cain followed him out, drilling him with a clothesline that Sheamus turned right into. Showing a very aggressive side, Cain grabbed the back of Sheamus' head and threw him into the steel steps and then rolling him back into the ring. Cain got back into the ring and took the Irishman down with a chop block and he then grabbed him by the head and neck, looking for a tornado DDT. Sheamus countered by tossing Cain across the ring but Cain landed on his feet and avoided an oncoming Brogue Kick. He then drilled Sheamus with a jumping enzuigiri. Sheamus fell to the mat and Cain went for the cover and got a 2 count. Cain got up and waited for Sheamus to return to his feet. When he did, he charged in but Sheamus was waiting with a clothesline of his own, showing a second gear and getting right back into the match. Sheamus picked Cain up and dropped him over the top rope, throat first. He then delivered a backdrop suplex before getting up with both arms stretched outward and letting out a loud yell. Cain got up and Sheamus ran him over with the double sledge to the face. He went for the cover, but Cain kicked out at 2 and a half. Sheamus pulled him up and looked to be setting up for the "High Cross". But when he got Cain up over his head, Cain slipped free and put Sheamus down with a vicious sleeper hold slam. Cain then popped up, showing an incredible level of energy and the crowd was totally behind him. Cain got Sheamus up and delivered the "Mark of Cain" with incredible authority. There was no kicking out for Sheamus and this one is in the books. Match Time: 7:10 J.R.: "Incredible...... Sebastian Cain has finally gotten over the hump known as Sheamus"! Lawler: "I'll tell ya, J.R., that Mark of Cain is one devastating move.... Sheamus is out"! "BLACK" PLAYED AGAIN AND CAIN WALKED AWAY FROM THE RING, SOAKING UP THE CHEERS OF THE CROWD. J.R.: "Sebastian Cain has reached the finals of the King of the Ring tournament by defeating his arch rival and now.... now he has a chance to put his name into TWF lore for eternity"! Lawler: "But he's still gotta go through either Kevin Thorn or Dolph Ziggler.... each of which will provide a challenge as tough as this one..... what a tournament"! "I AM PERFECTION" COMES ON AND DOLPH ZIGGLER STEPS OUT TO A HEARTY ROUND OF BOOS. Hudson: "It has been a great tournament, guys, and we're now going to find out just who will face Sebastian Cain in the finals". Cash: "Dolph Ziggler has been phenomenal in this tournament so far, but I think he's facing the man who is destined to win it". ZIGGLER GETS INTO THE RING AND THE LIGHTS GO OUT. "MI DESTROYERO" COMES ON AGAIN AND KEVIN THORN COMES OUT WITH ARIEL. THEY TOO ARE LOUDLY BOOED. Hudson: "But you have to consider that the man who wins this will have to defeat three men in one night, bringing endurance into the equation and I don't know if anyone can match Ziggler in that category.... in fact I've heard from several sources that his stamina is unmatched"! Cash: "Do you have any idea what you just said? What an absolute tool you are, Hudson". Hudson: "Dolph Ziggler to face Kevin Thorn here as we have worked our way down to the final three men in the King of the Ring tournament"! King of the Ring Semi-Finals Dolph Ziggler vs. Kevin Thorn w/ Ariel Ziggler walked up to Thorn and slapped him right across his pale face. Thorn angrily threw a right hand that missed and Ziggler tagged him with a few shots of his own. He then shot him to the ropes and went for a leapfrog but Thorn grabbed him in mid air and drove him into the mat with a powerslam. He then went for an elbow drop but Ziggler got out of the way. After striking Thorn with a running knee to the face, Ziggler went on an elbow drop splurge of his own. He hit Thorn with a succession of 6 elbow drops before looking out to Ariel with a big smile on his face. He then blew her a kiss and turned back to Thorn, who was up. Ziggler pounded him with more right hands that knocked him into the corner but Thorn reversed an irish whip, sending Ziggler into the opposite corner. He then slammed into him with a clothesline before driving several reverse elbows into the side of his head. After a sidewalk slam, Thorn made a cover but Ziggler was up at 2. He pulled Ziggler back up and flung him into the corner again but this time when he ran in, Dolph was waiting with both knees to the chest. Thorn stumbled back and Ziggler ran out but Thorn slapped his right hand around his throat and delivered a harsh chokeslam. Thorn made another cover and got a very near fall, but Ziggler got his shoulder off the mat again. Thorn pulled Ziggler up and whipped him to the ropes but after ducking a clothesline, Ziggler slapped the sleeper hold on and jumped up on his shoulders. He had it cinched it deep and Thorn looked to be fading fast. He tried to back up into the corner but he couldn't do so with enough momentum and Ziggler was actually standing on the middle turnbuckle with the sleeper still in. Thorn was fighting it with all he could and Ariel was trying to find a way to help him. Looking to gain even more leverage on the hold, Ziggler started to go to the top rope but that proved to be a major mistake. Thorn was able to counter right into the "Dark Kiss" and Ziggler took it hard. Thorn got over into the cover and this time, he got the pinfall. Match Time: 6:19 Hudson: "And he got him! What a counter by Kevin Thorn and he has reached the finals"! Cash: "A great effort by Dolph Ziggler..... great effort but I'm tellin' ya, it's Kevin Thorn's crown to win"! "MI DESTROYERO" CAME ON AGAIN AND ARIEL CAME INTO THE RING, CELEBRATING WITH THE VICTORIOUS THORN. Hudson: "You may very well be right..... it looked like it was curtains for him there but he found a way to win"! THE RING CREW STARTS GETTING THINGS READY FOR THE INFERNO MATCHES WITH AN APPARATUS THAT SPEWS FLAMES AS HOT AS 500 DEGREES. BACKSTAGE....... THE EMPIRE SUITE...... CAMERAS SHOW A LARGE POSTED OF JORDAN ROCKWELL THAT HAS BEEN PLACED ON A WALL. ALBA RIOS, STEPHANIE McMAHON AND TRISH STRATUS ARE ALL LAUGHING TOGETHER AS THEY TAKE TURNS THROWING DARTS AT IT. THE CAMERA PANS OVER TO SHOW MONEY MIKE WITH CARNEY. Money Mike: "You've already done this once, buddy.... you can do it again. We set out originally to destroy Jordan Rockwell and tonight..... you have a chance to literally burn that career in flames". Carney: "I'm ready...... I'm ready.... let's go"! CARNEY WALKS OUT OF THE SUITE AND MOMENTS LATER, JOE COREY COMES IN WITH THE UNIVERSAL TITLE OVER HIS SHOULDER. TRAVIS WAKEMAN WALKS UP. Joe Corey: "So"? Travis Wakeman: "We've yet to hear about the medical status, but he won't be back here tonight..... the title match is off". Joe Corey: "You guys know if it was the other way around, I'd get off that hospital bed and hitchhike back here if I had to...... what a chump". COREY TURNS AND LEAVES AS THE SHOT IS KICKED BACK TO THE RING. THE EMPIRE THEME HITS AND CARNEY COMES OUT TO SOME HARSH BOOS. HE IS WEARING AN EMPIRE MUSCLE SHIRT AND LONG BLACK SHORTS. Hudson: "Things have just gotten serious, folks, as we are now set for the Inferno match where the only way to win is to set your opponent on fire". Cash: "And leave it up to that freak Rockwell to select a match like this. He's obviously a sore loser after getting beat by Carney at Anarchy Rulz and whether I'm biased or not, I don't care.... I hope Rockwell fries tonight"! "SAVE ME" BY BURN HALO STARTS UP AND JORDAN ROCKWELL MAKES HIS WAY OUT TO BY FAR THE BIGGEST CHEER OF THE NIGHT. HE IS WEARING A BLACK T-SHIRT WITH THE WORD "FRANCHISE" ON IT. Hudson: "PJ, there's over fifteen thousand people here who don't see it that way"! Cash: "Fifteen thousand people who actually like this man..... that's sad". Hudson: "We are told that both of these men have been required to wear shirts during this match in an attempt to somewhat protect them from any severe burns". Inferno Match Carney vs. Jordan Rockwell Rockwell and Carney got into the ring and the flame machine was turned on. They both gave it an uneasy look before fixing their eyes on each other. Carney and Rockwell each started throwing punches, most of which didn't even connect but Rockwell picked Carney up and slammed him to the mat which caused the flames to rise. He then pummeled Carney with a barrage of punches before pulling him up and throwing him face first into the turnbuckle pad. Rockwell then got underneath Carney and was trying to dump him over the ropes and out onto the fire. Carney was clearly freaked out and was fighting it off with all his might. Finally he stuck a finger in Rockwell's eye before kicking him in the face. He then jumped off the top rope with a clothesline that took Rockwell down the flames burst out of the machine. Carney then grabbed Rockwell and put him right back down with a reverse DDT. From there, he grabbed the left leg of Rockwell and tried to drag him to the ropes. He was able to do it and he threw Rockwell's foot into the fire but he was able to pull it back before the flames caught it. Carney jumped right back on Rockwell, choking him with both hands. Rockwell was able to get him off but when he got back to his feet, Carney dropped him with a spin kick to the head. Carney again tried to pull Rockwell towards the fireblower, but Rockwell rolled to his stomach and shook free. Carney ran at him as he got up but Rockwell used a drop toe hold and then slapped on the STF. Carney was in a lot of trouble, especially when he realized that getting to the ropes might make things worse. Rockwell put all the torque he could on the hold and Carney looked ready to pass out. Finally, Rockwell released the hold and got Carney up, pulling him towards the fire. Carney's face was being pushed towards the fire and he was staring right at them when he mule kicked Rockwell, a desperation move that dropped Rockwell to his knees. He then delivered a roundhouse kick to the head to put Rockwell down. This time, he tried to pull him by his arms, but Rockwell fought it. Carney finally pulled him up and whipped him to the corner. But Rockwell got out of the way when he charged in and tried to come back with his Masa Chono style kick in the corner but Carney moved out of the way of that as well. He followed that up with a backcracker on Rockwell before ripping the shirt right off his back. He began to choke Rockwell with the shirt but behind the cheers of the crowd, Rockwell got up and flipped Carney over his shoulders, risking injury to himself in doing so. When Carney got up, he ran at Rockwell but Rockwell was waiting, throwing Carney through the ring ropes and into the wall of fire. The back of Carney caught fire and he squirmed around outside the ring as the match was declared over. 2 men with fire extinguishers rushed in and doused Carney to put the flames out, but Carney was still in pain. Match Time: 9:39 "SAVE ME" PLAYED AGAIN AND ROCKWELL LEFT THE RING, STANDING OVER THE DEFEATED CARNEY. Cash: "Go ahead, Rockwell, gloat about your victory! Maybe if you do it now we'll all be spared on the next PrimeTime"! Hudson: "Jordan Rockwell has finally gotten one over on The Empire but in the process, you have to ask what he'll have to face next". Cash: "There's no doubt that there will be some retaliation from The Empire...... we'll see if the so-called Franchise is ready for that"! Hudson: "Even so, this win has to be a huge monkey off his back and hopefully for Carney's sake, those flames didn't cause any serious damage". BACKSTAGE........ MARIA IS SHOWN IN THE DRESSING ROOM OF MATT CRUZ. HE ISN'T SHOWN, BUT YOU CAN HEAR HIS VOICE IN THE ROOM. Maria: "Whatever happens tonight..... I'm so proud of you for standing up for what you believe in, especially me". Matt Cruz: "There's no doubt I'll be at a disadvantage tonight, but I'm not taking that stupid offer from The Empire". Maria: "I can't believe they thought you'd do that". Matt Cruz: "I mean, I could've gotten a rematch, according to them, but there was no way I was going out there and raising Oliver's hand.... after forfeiting to him". Maria: "You'll be fine, babe.... you'll show them all who you are tonight". THE CAMERA PANS OVER AND SHOWS MATT CRUZ SEATED AT A BENCH. HE HAS A LARGE PATCH OVER HIS RIGHT EYE. THE LIGHTS GO OUT AND KEVIN THORN EMERGES FROM THE BACK WITH HIS USUAL ANGRY LOOK. ARIEL IS FOLLOWING AND THE CROWD BOOS THEM. J.R.: "Matt Cruz challenges Jason Oliver for the World title later tonight, but first we have to see who will be king". Lawler: "King of the Ring has always been a launching pad to greatness, J.R., and one of these guys is about to be there"! Cash: "The vampire king..... I like the sound of that and I'm tellin' ya, it's gonna take one heck of an effort from Sebastian Cain to accomplish this tonight". Hudson: "Kevin Thorn has looked very impressive tonight but something must be said about Sebastian Cain finally defeating Sheamus.... that had to be a huge confidence boost". SEVENDUST's "BLACK" COMES ON AND THE CROWD ROARS WHEN SEBASTIAN CAIN POPS OUT FROM THE BACK. J.R.: "The crown would sure look good on this guy....... Sebastian Cain is ready to go"! Cash: "He needs to be more than ready.... he'll need to be at his best ever". Hudson: "Out of the eight men we had when this night started, I don't know if we could've ended with a better tournament final than this one"! Lawler: "Well observing here from ringside, I think the match with Dolph Ziggler actually took something out of Thorn and he's had less time to rest in between matches than Cain". J.R.: "That's a great observation, King, but of course..... Thorn does have the very distracting Ariel out here with him". King of the Ring Tournament Final Kevin Thorn w/ Ariel vs. Sebastian Cain Thorn came at Cain right when he got into the ring, getting the jump on him. Thorn wore Cain out with several shots to the back before sending him to the ropes and catching him with a big boot to the face. Thorn dropped an elbow and went for the cover but Cain was up at 2. He did, however, look very overwhelmed. Thorn stayed on him, attacking him with boots to the head and chest. He got Cain up and threw him into the corner before following in with a clothesline. 3 stiff reverse elbows followed and it was all Thorn. He picked Cain up and slammed him into the mat with a sidewalk slam. Another cover and another 2 count for Thorn. Thorn got up with a demented look in his eyes and backed into the ropes, looking for another elbow drop. Cain rolled out of the way and it was the first sign of life out of him. Thorn still beat him to the feet and grabbed Cain by the head. Cain punched him in the midsection and followed that with a kick to the gut. Thorn threw a clothesline that missed and Cain hit the ropes, drilling him with a flying forearm. Trying to get something going, he went for a body splash in the corner but Thorn moved out of the way and then smashed him with a clothesline. Thorn got him up and put him in the corner but Cain moved out of the way of the back elbow and rolled Thorn up for a 2 count, really surprising him. Thorn got up and threw a wild swing but Cain avoided that and grabbed him around the waist, running him to the ropes. Thorn held the ropes and shrugged Cain off but Cain responded with a dropkick right when he turned around. Cain seemed to be gaining some momentum so when he tried to run the ropes, Ariel grabbed his foot. That gave enough of a distraction for Thorn to come and nail Cain from behind. Thorn then got Cain up, looking for his crucifix powerbomb but Cain slipped free and kicked Thorn in the stomach. He then ran the ropes but Thorn was waiting with an open hand, grabbing Cain by the throat. He then delivered a big chokeslam and covered Cain for the 1...............2............, but Cain was up! Ariel then went and set the walking stick of Thorn on one side of the ring without referee Mike Chioda seeing. She then got up on the apron to get Chioda over. But as this was going on, Drew McIntyre came out from the back and actually got hold of the walking stick. Thorn tried to go after him, sticking his head through the ropes and that's when McIntyre smashed him with his own walking stick! Thorn fell to the mat and Cain didn't even see what happened. He did see Thorn down and he crawled across the mat, getting atop and hooking a leg as Chioda slapped the mat 3 times! Match Time: 7:43 Lawler: "He got him"! Cash: "You gotta be kidding me! That referee needs to watch the replay and reverse this decision"! AS "BLACK" PLAYED AGAIN, CAIN NOTICED McINTYRE WALKING AWAY, LOOKING RIGHT AT HIM. Hudson: "I'm just surprised that Drew McIntyre actually aided Sebastian Cain in becoming King of the Ring". J.R.: "Well when Cain made McIntyre his personal servant, assistant, whatever you wanna call it, I don't think this is what he had in mind". Cash: "Oh that's B.S....... Cain can sit there and act like he didn't want to win it this way, but that's the only way he would've beaten Thorn"! J.R.: "I'm not so sure about that". CAIN CELEBRATED WITH THE CROWD AFTER THE BIG WIN. Lawler: "Yeah let's not take away from this win, this is the biggest moment of Cain's career so far". Hudson: "Not to mention that if Thorn had grabbed that walking stick and lambasted Cain with it, my partner here wouldn't be talking about replays or any of that". Cash: "Hudson, you know nothing about being in that ring. The closest you've ever been to physicality is arguing with the bellhop over not getting your room service right..... and he would've kicked your ass too"! J.R.: "In any event, all hail King Cain..... this year's King of the Ring"! Lawler: "And you know what the brings us to, J.R.". J.R.: "All the plot twists you ever wanted in your main event right? Matt Cruz and Jason Oliver have been engaged in a nasty feud over the last few months that has seen the champion Oliver get physical with tiny little Maria and Matt Cruz suffer a serious eye injury, one that will force him to wear a patch over it tonight. What effect will that have on tonight's match"? Lawler: "Put your hand over your right eye, J.R. Now try do anything.... it's not easy.... and that's nothing compared to being in there with a guy the caliber of Jason Oliver". "THE NEXT EPISODE" BY DR. DRE COMES ON AND MATT CRUZ COMES OUT TO A MASSIVE CHEER WITH MARIA. A CAMERAMAN GETS A GOOD SHOT OF THE SOLID BLACK PATCH OVER HIS EYE. J.R.: "As Cruz eluded to earlier, there was apparently some sort of offer on the table from The Empire that he turned down..... determined to compete tonight.... you have to admire that". Lawler: "Yes but to me it's a clear cut case of a guy's pride taking the place of his brain". "FLY FROM THE INSIDE" BY SHINEDOWN COMES ON NEXT AND BOOS SOON FOLLOW BEFORE JASON OLIVER IS SEEN WITH THE WORLD TITLE AROUND HIS WAIST. J.R.: "Well we know what you'd do, King, but Cruz has been one of the few that has refused to bow down to The Empire". Lawler: "If you ask me, Oliver's gotta be licking his chops seeing Cruz with that patch over his eye". Lawler: "Folks this will be one fall to a finish for the TWF World title, the belt that Cruz lost to Oliver but eye patch or not, will be tough to deny if you ask me". TWF World Title Match Challenger: Matt "Madik" Cruz w/ Maria vs. Jason Oliver As referee Jim Korderas was giving Cruz a look at the belt, Oliver got in a cheap shot on the obviously injured eye. It knocked Cruz to one knee and Korderas tried to keep Oliver back but Oliver shoved Korderas aside and the belt flew out of his hands. Oliver moved in but Cruz grabbed the front of his tights and pulled him face first into the middle turnbuckle. He then got behind him and delivered a perfect german suplex. Cruz held on to deliver another one before trying to grab one of his arms but Oliver fought to keep it away. Cruz was still able to get him in a front facelock and performed a very nice rolling suplex. Cruz then floated over into a cover but Oliver got a shoulder off the mat at 1. Cruz tried to stay on top but Oliver was able to bridge up. He then put Cruz down with a hip toss before grabbing him with both arms around the body, taking a page out of his book with a belly to belly suplex. Oliver got Cruz up and was trying to hit a fisherman suplex but Cruz countered into a nice northern lights suplex. But Cruz's emotions seemed to take him out of the technical element, pulling Oliver up and beating him down in the corner with punches and kicks. Korderas tried to get Cruz away but this time, Cruz would not relent, continuing the pounding. He then got Oliver up and threw him across the ring with a double underhook throw. Crawling into a cover, Cruz got a 2 count. Upon pulling Oliver up, Cruz whipped him to the ropes but Oliver actually countered with a Thesz press but took it right into a Fujiwara armbar. Ripping at the right arm of Cruz, he was definitely looking to injure him. But Cruz was able to roll towards Oliver and use his free hand to get free. He then kicked Oliver right in the face and made a cover. 1........2........, but that was all. Oliver kicked out on instincts but was hurting as Cruz went outside the ring and to the top rope. The crowd was on their feet as he flew off with a moonsault but just in time, Oliver got his knees up right in his gut. Oliver covered Cruz and hooked a leg, but he too only got a 2 count. A loud cheer came from the crowd, showing respect for the efforts of both men. Both exhausted, they stood in the middle of the ring trading shots until Oliver went for the eye again, poking at it and then dropping him with a stout superkick. But Oliver didn't stop there, pulling the protective eyepatch off Cruz! He then threw it into the crowd when Maria angrily got on the apron. But Oliver came over and piefaced her right to the floor! Cruz came from behind with a rollup and got a very near fall. Both men quickly got to their feet and Oliver threw the superkick again but this time Cruz caught his foot and pulled him in for a tremendous T-bone suplex. Cruz aggressively pulled Oliver up and pushed him into the corner, smashing his chest with repeated knifedge chops. He then tried to grab Oliver but the champion gouged his eye again. Cruz stepped back in obvious pain and Oliver waited for the right time to hit the "Claymore". He quickly made the cover and got the 1............2..............3 to end it. Match Time: 18:32 Lawler: "He got him! Jason Oliver has survived the challenge of Matt Cruz"! J.R.: "Survived is right, but he also had to fight like hell to beat a one eyed opponent"! Lawler: "Too late to complain now, J.R., The Empire offered Cruz the chance to back out of this and that's what he gets"! J.R.: "Wait a minute, here comes Maria............ JUST AS OLIVER WAS ABOUT TO LEAVE THE RING TO "FLY FROM THE INSIDE", HE SAW MARIA. WITH A DISGUSTED LOOK ON HER FACE, SHE SLAPPED THE TASTE OUT OF HIS MOUTH. OLIVER COULD ONLY SMILE BEFORE LEAVING THE RING. J.R.: "What the hell is wrong with this guy..... he seemed like he liked that"! Lawler: "Oliver is taking Cruz and Maria to the point of a meltdown and he knows it"! J.R.: "Jason Oliver feels like he is on top of the world..... is anyone capable of knocking that smile off his face"?!
