THE EVENT STARTS WITH UPRISING AND IDALIS IS SHOWN OUTSIDE THE SPECTACULAR FREEDOM HALL. SHE IS BUNDLED UP BECAUSE IT IS FAIRLY CHILLY OUTSIDE.
Idalis: "Hello everybody and welcome to the show before the show if you will! The TWF is ready to close out 2004 as only they can with the fifth annual War in the Winter. Now tonight we will see every major title on PrimeTime put on the line but in the main event, there won't be any titles at stake, just a lot of bad blood and it will all take place inside Hell in a Cell. We're gonna touch on that huge match later but another of tonight's feature attractions does have a title at stake so let's take a look at a preview for tonight's three team war for the TWF Tag Team titles". VIDEO PACKAGE: TRIPLE THREAT TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH THE PACKAGE STARTS WITH ARIES AND HIROHITO SHOWN WAVING THEIR BLACK FLAG AND ON A SPLIT SCREEN IS SEVERAL $100 DOLLAR BILLS LAID OUT ON A TABLE. Audio voiceover: "Tonight at War in the Winter, one team filled with hate and another loaded with greed aim to take out the top tag team in TWF history...... STRIFE AND BAHAMUT ARE SHOWN IN VARIOUS ACTION SHOTS. THE CLIP THEN TURNS TO THE SCENE OF ARIES AND HIROHITO USING THE POLE OF THEIR FLAG AND DRIVING IT INTO THE THIGH OF BAHAMUT. MICHAEL COLE's VOICE THEN SAYS "A DEEP THIGH BRUISE FOR ONE HALF OF THE TAG TEAM CHAMPS". AFTER THAT, A CLIP OF THE MILLION DOLLAR TEAM DEFEATING WAR ON AMERICA IN A TAG TEAM MATCH IS SHOWN. Cole: "Strife and Bahamut may be up against their biggest challenge to date. Two teams with all the momentum are gunning for their gold"! Ventura: "Strife and Bahamut will play the face of America in this match, taking on two of the biggest threats there are, hatred and the almighty dollar"! Idalis: "Now I don't know about ya'll, but that one looks great to me. Whoever comes out on top in that match will not only have the titles but a ton of power as well. And speaking of power, that is what the winner of the New Year's battle royale has always had. Tonight, we will crown our fourth winner of this match and he will then have the authority to select a New Year's resolution as it pertains to the TWF. Now in the past, we've seen an Enforcer added to each division, the return of an ousted Commissioner and who can forget last year when Batista took away Travis Wakeman's chance to ever be the Universal champion again. What will the resolution be this year? Let's take a special look at the twelve men who will take part in this year's event and maybe you can develop your own thoughts as to what they will do". THE YEAR 2004 IS SHOWN ON THE SCREEN FOLLOWED BY THE DROPPING OF THE BALL AS THEY DO AT MIDNIGHT ON NEW YEAR'S EVE FROM TIMES SQUARE. THE TWELVE SUPERSTARS THAT WILL COMPETE TONIGHT ARE THEN SHOWN IN ACTION SHOTS STARTING WITH AXL IRVIN AND ENDING WITH ROB VAN DAM PLUS ALL THE REST IN BETWEEN. THE FACES OF THE PAST WINNERS ARE THEN SHOWN ONE BY ONE. SAM WILDE, DYLAN JANSENS AND BATISTA AND THEN A LARGE, BLACK QUESTION MARK. THE QUESTION MARK FADES OUT AND IDALIS IS AGAIN SHOWN TALKING WITH SOME OF THE FANS WHO ARE BEGINNING TO ENTER THE ARENA. Idalis: "The doors to Freedom Hall are open everyone and we are just about thirty minutes away from War in the Winter so if you haven't done so already, contact your local cable operator immediately or just hit that button on your remote and make yourself a part of this huge event! We've gotta take a break but when we come back, Axl Irvin's right hand man Orlando Jordan is gonna be in action against the Japanese Buzzsaw Tajiri, don't go away"! COMMERCIAL BREAK....... A COMMERCIAL FOR OUTBACK RESTAURANTS IS SHOWN FOLLOWED BY A FINAL PROMO FOR WAR IN THE WINTER HYPING THE HELL IN A CELL TAG TEAM MAIN EVENT. RETURN FROM BREAK...... INSIDE THE ARENA, ORLANDO JORDAN's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT TO A LOT OF BOOS FROM A CROWD THAT IS NOW ABOUT 90% FULL. Michael Cole: "Welcome to War in the Winter folks and we are inside Freedom Hall just moments away from teh final pay-per-view of 2004 but Jesse, what a way to end the year"! Jesse Ventura: "There's no doubt about it Michael. Four title matches and the Hell in a Cell, you gotta make yourself a part of this fans"! TAJIRI's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT TO A GOOD CHEER. Cole: "That ominous cell is hanging above the ring but here comes Tajiri and this should be an interesting match between he and the athletic Jordan"! Ventura: "Jordan's got about a five to six inch height advantage Michael, he better make use of it". Orlando Jordan vs. Tajiri Tajjiri started quickly with his feet but after reversing an irish whip, Jordan hit a dropkick that changed the complexion of the match. After hitting the "Black Ice", it seemed like it was over but Tajiri got a foot on the bottom rope to break the count. After complaining to the referee, Jordan got ready to go into his Rocky Shuffle but Tajiri was ready for it and after blocking the punches with his feet, he tripped Jordan up with a back footsweep before smoking him with the Buzzsaw Kick and topping him for the 3 count. Match Time: 8:30 Cole: "A great win here for Tajiri and we are down to just a few minutes before the start of War in the Winter and Jesse, what a main event we've got in store". Ventura: "Four men who have a ton of history with one another and a ton of hatred for one another! It's gonna happen inside Hell in a Cell"! Cole: "For those of you who don't fully realize how intense this thing is..... take a look at this". VIDEO PACKAGE: HELL IN A CELL AS THE HELL IN A CELL STRUCTURE IS SHOWN OVER A RING, "RISE UP" BY DROWNING POOL BEGINS TO PLAY. THE FACES OF JORDAN ROCKWELL, DYLAN JANSENS, SHANE THOMPSON AND RHYNO ARE SHOWN. A CLIP OF ROCKWELL BEING KIDNAPPED BY THOMPSON IS PLAYED FOLLOWED BY JANSENS DEFEATING RHYNO FOR THE UNIVERSAL TITLE AT KING OF THE RING. THAT IS FOLLOWED BY ROCKWELL PINNING SHANE THOMPSON IN HIS ELIMINATION MATCH AT KING OF THE RING AND THEN GOING ALL THE WAY TO WIN THE KING OF THE RING CROWN. AFTER A FEW HEATED WORDS BETWEEN THE 4 MEN ON PRIMETIME, JANSENS AGAIN DEFEATS RHYNO TO RETAIN HIS TITLE BUT A SHOT OF THOMPSON IS SHOWN WITH THE ILLUSION OF THE VIEW GOING INSIDE HIS HEAD AND SHOWING A SHOT OF LITA ROCKING HER AND JORDAN's BABY. THE LAST SHOT IS OF ROCKWELL GOING TO LITA's DRESSING ROOM ON MAIN EVENT AND REALIZING SHE's NOT THERE. THE CLIP ENDS WITH THOMPSON LEAVING INSIDE A VEHICLE IN WHICH LITA WAS BELIEVED TO BE IN AS WELL. AS SOON AS "RISE UP" STOPS PLAYING, A DEMENTED LAUGH FOLLOWS WITH A FINAL LOOK AT THE CELL. OUTSIDE A SNOWY MOUNTAINOUS REGION, SOLDIERS ARE SHOWN EXCHANGING FIRE AND AN EXPLOSION IS SEEN IN THE BACKGROUND. ONE SOLDIER IS PUT UP ON CLOSE UP, USING HIS WALKIE TALKIE. Soldier: "I don't know what to do! I'm out of ammo"! THE VOICE ON THE OTHER END SAYS "SO AM I"! SUDDENLY, AN UNIDENTIFIED SOLDIER RUNS UP AND THROWS A HAND GRENADE AT THE HUGE MOUNTAIN. AFTER A FEW SECONDS, THE EXPLOSION STARTS AN AVALANCHE AND SNOW COMES TUMBLING DOWN AS THE SOLDIERS SCRAMBLE FOR COVER, TO NO AVAIL. AFTER ALL GOES QUIET, THE ENGINE OF A SMALL PLANE IS HEARD AND IT FLIES OVER THE AREA, CARRYING A BANNER THAT SAYS TWF WAR IN THE WINTER. THE BATTLE STARTS NOW. AFTER THE PLANE FLIES OUT OF THE SHOT, A GLOVED HAND SHOOTS UP FROM THE PILE OF SNOW AND "RISE UP" BEGINS TO PLAY AGAIN. Audio Voiceover: "And now, Outback restaurants and TWF PrimeTime present.......... WAR IN THE WINTER!!
FIREWORKS AND PYRO ARE SET OFF ON THE SET WHICH IS A GIANT SNOWFLAKE WITH THE WAR IN THE WINTER LOGO INSIDE. ALSO ON THE SET ARE A GIANT SNOWMAN AND A TANK FROM WORLD WAR II. Michael Cole: "The energy inside Freedom Hall is off the charts folks! Thank you for being a part of War in the Winter, I'm Michael Cole alongside my partner Jesse Ventura and what a night in store for these TWF fans Body"! Jesse Ventura: "It has the feeling of a world war like atmosphere Michael and those of you watching are in for what will be a huge night for TWF PrimeTime"! Cole: "War in the Winter is being viewed in over fifty countries tonight and that might be a pay-per-view record for us"! JUST THEN, NAILS IS SHOWN WALKING TOWARDS THE RING ON THE PRIMETRON. BUT CHRIS TIRPAK RUNS UP FROM BEHIND AND HE HAS REFEREE MIKE CHIODA WITH HIM. TIRPAK LAYS A HEAVY BLOW INTO THE UPPER BACK OF NAILS AND THE FIGHT IS ON. Ventura: "What the hell is going on here"! Cole: "It looks like Tirpak has returned the favor to Nails! The title's on the line, he's got the cover"! TWF Hardcore Title Match Challenger: Chris Tirpak vs. Nails Nails was able to kick out but he had definitely been hurt. After slamming Nails on the concrete floor, Tirpak grabbed a steel beam from nearby and swung it at Nails. But Nails rolled out of the way and kicked Tirpak in the right knee, forcing him to drop the weapon. He then grabbed Tirpak by the hair and rammed him face first into a closed door. He then opened the door and pushed Tirpak in and it led to the parking garage. Tirpak fired back with a right hand and then whipped Nails into the huge door of the garage. Tirpak then grabbed him and slammed him on the hood of a parked car. He climbed up with Nails but Nails got in a low blow and suplexed Tirpak on the car. The windshield shattered and he went for a cover but somehow, Tirpak was able to kick out. Nails then reached into his back pocket and pulled out a pair of brass knucks. But Tirpak was able to block the loaded right hand and he kicked him in the gut before delivering a spinebuster on the floor! He made the cover and hooked the leg but something inside Nails allowed him to kick out. Tirpak picked up the knucks and turned to make his own move with them but Nails had a fire extinguisher and he sprayed it in the challenger's face. Nails then opened up a box that was full of flourescent lightbulbs and he spread them on the ground. Tirpak was trying desperately to clear his eyes but he walked right into the grasp of Nails who hoisted him up and put him down with the Nail Gun right on the flourescent bulbs! Glass exploded in all directions and Tirpak was bleeding in several spots from his back as Nails covered him for the 1.......2.........3. Match Time: 4:19 Cole: "I can't begin to imagine the pain that Chris Tirpak is in! Hopefully we've got some EMT's nearby"! Ventura: "Even with the sneak attack, Nails has retained his belt and Michael, this guy is easily the sickest man we've ever seen in the TWF"! Cole: "It's clear he has no regard for humanity but in my opinion, Nails needed this win more than Tirpak did to establish himself as a main player on PrimeTime once again"! AFTER GOING THROUGH THE DOOR THAT THEY CAME THROUGH, NAILS APPEARS AGAIN, HOLDING HIS HARDCORE TITLE BELT. EMT's HAVE NOW COME OVER TO CHECK ON TIRPAK BUT NAILS GETS DOWN IN HIS FACE WITH A MESSAGE. Nails: "Get well soon...... you piece of trash". NAILS WALKS AWAY AS EMT's PEEL PIECES OF GLASS OUT OF TIRPAK's BACK. Cole: "What a sick, sick human being". Ventura: "Oh look at this Michael, it's Sable"! INSIDE THE ARENA, SABLE HAD ENTERED THE RING TO A LOT OF BOOS AND HECKLING AND ASKED FOR THE MICROPHONE. Cole: "The fans are sure giving it to her and you can bet why"! Sable: "Randy Orton..... I know you're back there! So....... JUST THEN, SOMEONE LET OUT A LOUD "SABLE WAS BETTER THAN PARIS" COMMENT. Sable: "Very funny. Orton, I know you're back there. So I'm gonna make this short and sweet! I want to issue...... JUST THEN, "TAKE WHAT's MINE" PLAYS AND RANDY ORTON COMES OUT TO A HUGE POP. Cole: "Oh boy.... here we go"! Randy Orton: "Ya know Sable, I'm glad you're returning the favor. Because the last time we got together, I was the one making it short and sweet"! Ventura: "Oh come on"! COLE CAN ONLY LAUGH. Orton: "Let me guess, you got someone who wants to fight me tonight? Someone to maybe make up for your embarrassment? Well if it makes you feel any better honey, Roger Ebert would've given it four stars"! Sable: "Shut the hell up! I've heard enough of your crap and tonight.... if you're up to it..... Batista is gonna kick your ass"! Ventura: "Now I like that"! Orton: "Well Sable, as we both know, I'm always up to it. But to answer your question, I would love to face Batista right here tonight"! "TAKE WHAT's MINE" HITS AGAIN AND SABLE JUST SMILES. Cole: "Did you hear that Jesse?! We've got a huge bonus match added to tonight's card"! Ventura: "And I can't wait for someone to shut the mouth of that arrogant kid Randy Orton"! BACKSTAGE AREA..... A.J. STYLES IS GETTING TAPED UP BY THE TRAINER WHEN CHAVO GUERRERO COMES UP. Chavo Guerrero: "Paper champion huh"? A.J. Styles: "Excuse me"? Guerrero: "Well, that is what you said". Styles: "I don't know what you're talking about". Guerrero: "Oh so now you're gonna deny it? Cole: "Could we be looking at the next tag team champions"? Ventura: "These fans are showing their true feelings for these two guys and I gotta say I feel the same damn way"! Cole: "The problems between you and these two guys have been well documented Jesse but in all honesty, are they a threat to win the titles tonight"? Ventura: "You bet they are. Like them or not, they are a very efficient, down and dirty team that knows what it takes to win"! TED DIBIASE's LAUGH IS HEARD FOLLOWED BY "MONEY, MONEY, MONEY" AND HE BRINGS OUT HIS TEAM, ROB CONWAY AND NICK DINSMORE. Cole: "And then you've got this team, led by the man that believes money can buy anything! Can it buy a tag team championship"? Ventura: "Conway and Dinsmore have worn those belts before Michael so I wouldn't say no. They have as good a chance to win this match as the other two, that's for sure"! THE FANS COME TO THEIR FEET AS "BOMBSHELL" BY POWERMAN 5000 EXPLODES OVER THE LOUDSPEAKERS AND STRIFE AND BAHAMUT COME OUT CARRYING THEIR TAG TEAM TITLES. Cole: "Many believe this to be the greatest tag team in TWF history and maybe in professional wrestling history and a win in this match would only solidify those beliefs"! Ventura: "That it would Michael, but I consider this to be the biggest challenge they've ever faced and I don't think they'll leave with the gold"! War on America vs. The Million Dollar Team w/ Ted Dibiase vs. (c) Strife and Bahamut Tornado rules were in effect for this match so Shane McMahon had 2 referees, Mike Enos controlling the outside and Chris Kay on the inside. But even with both of them, the action was still all over the place. Conway and Dinsmore stood idly by as War on America and the champs tore into each other to start the match. Strife and Hirohito went shot for shot as Aries and Bahamut exchanged blows. After a thumb to the eye on Bahamut, Aries grabbed the flag and sized Bahamut up. But Strife grabbed the flag from over Aries' head and broke it over his knee. Strife then fell victim to a double chop block from Conway and Dinsmore. They then went for a double suplex but Strife blocked it and was able to suplex the both of them in a tremendous display of power. Strife then walked into a knifedge chop from Hirohito and he and Aries then used a wicked double team move to take him out. Hirohito hit a jumping spin kick as Aries used a back footsweep. Strife was down and War on America then lifted Bahamut up with a double backbody drop. Conway and Dinsmore then jumped on each of the champions in pinning predicaments but Aries and Hirohito pulled them off. After a few shoves, the 4 men went at it. Dinsmore and Aries spilled to the floor with their fight as Conway lifted Aries up for a piledriver. But Aries countered with a backdrop and then turned to knock Dibiase off the apron with a right hand. But when Aries turned back to the action, Conway kicked him in the gut and delivered a tight swinging neckbreaker and went for the cover. But Bahamut pulled him off and whipped him into Strife who kicked him right in the face. Bah then lifted him up and planted him with a sidewinder slam that knocked the wind out of him and Bahamut hooked the leg for the 3 count. Match Time: 5:38 Cole: "Strife and Bahamut have done it! Another mission accomplished for the outstanding team"! Ventura: "I guess I gotta stop underestimating these two Cole! They're as good a tag team as there has ever been in this sport"! "BOMBSHELL" PLAYED AND STRIFE AND BAHAMUT GOT THEIR HANDS RAISED BY MIKE ENOS BEFORE THEY WERE HANDED THE TITLES BY CHRIS KAY. THE CROWD CHEERED IN UNISON AS THEY LEFT, LEAVING THE OTHER 4 MEN LAYING. BACKSTAGE...... AXL IRVIN IS DOING SOME HOPPING IN PLACE WITH ORLANDO JORDAN NEARBY. Orlando Jordan: "Man Axl, just think about it. What are you gonna do if you win that battle royale tonight..... you can pick anything". Axl Irvin: "Ya know, I can pick anything can't I? Trust me O.J., I have a lot of ideas and they would all make the TWF a better place". CAMERAS OUTSIDE THE ARENA SHOW FREEDOM HALL WITH "WAR IN THE WINTER" AND AN ORANGE TANK LIT UP IN THE MARQUEE SIGN. Cole: "Somehow I don't believe his ideas would but there you see outside the Freedom Hall which is nearly a sellout tonight for War in the Winter and we are glad you all are a part of it tonight! But we've got a lot more to go Jesse". Ventura: "And up next is the New Year's battle royale. Twelve guys, only one winner and whoever that is gets to select a resolution. What would yours be Michael"? Cole: "A different partner? No, I'm just kidding big guy". FOOTAGE IS SHOWN OF BATISTA ELIMINATING RHYNO FROM THE NEW YEAR's BATTLE ROYALE TO WIN IT. THAT IS FOLLOWED BY THE CLIP OF BATISTA's NEW YEAR's RESOLUTION TO ELIMINATE TRAVIS WAKEMAN AS A CONTENDER FOR THE UNIVERSAL TITLE FOREVER. BACK TO LIVE ACTION, 11 OF THE PARTICIPANTS ARE IN THE RING WHEN "ONE OF A KIND" BY BREAKING POINT HITS AND PYRO POPS OFF AS ROB VAN DAM COMES OUT TO A BIG CHEER. Cole: "The former Universal champion Rob Van Dam is gonna round out the field here Jess, would you consider him a favorite"?! Ventura: "Anyone has a chance in the a battle royale Michael, you'd know that if you'd ever been in one but this is the ultimate crapshoot"! Cole: "So who do you like to win this thing then"? Ventura: "I like the guy who is in there last"! 4th Annual New Year's Battle Royale For over 20 minutes, these 12 men battled for the right to name their New Year's resolution. The tandem of Muhammad Hassan and Rick Clark established themselves as a force early, making both Charlie Haas and Kid Gundam feel their wrath. But for the second consecutive year, Paul London earned the dubious distinction of being the first man eliminated when Chaos Wolf muscled him out. Meanwhile, Haas and Gundam recovered to take down the pair of Hassan and Clark. Gundam and Haas tried to lift Clark over the top rope together but Luther Reigns saw an opening and came and dumped Haas to the floor. He tried to do the same to Gundam but Chaos Wolf came over and rammed Reigns face first into the top turnbuckle before knocking him out of the ring with a dropkick. Wolf and Gundam then gave each other a quick look as if to signal a partnership but Heidenreich stood in front of them, pounding his chest. Both men moved at him but Heidenreich fought them both off. He then grabbed Gundam by the throat and threw him to the floor. Chaos Wolf jumped on his back from behind, trying to choke him. But Heidenreich flung him over his body and then picked him up with a gorilla press, slamming him to the floor. It looked like Heidenreich might walk through the rest of the field as he eliminated RVD with a huge boot to the face and then Rene Dupree with a hip toss. Hassan, Clark, Axl Irvin and Mike Austin then all grouped together, trying to throw the maniac out. But he shrugged all four of them off before grabbing Hassan and launching the Arab-American to the floor. Meanwhile, Rick Clark had been tossed out by Axl Irvin on the other side of the ring. Mike Austin and Irvin charged at Heidenreich but it was like hitting a brick wall. But finally, they went for his legs and they were able to take him down. They then hit a double DDT and the crowd was thrilled to see Heidenreich finally take a fall. But Axl Irvin turned his back to Austin to showboat and Austin grabbed him from behind and tossed him to the floor. Austin didn't realize that Heidenreich had gotten to his feet behind him and when he turned around, Heidenreich came with a running boot. But Austin avoided it and the momentum almost carried Heidenreich out of the ring but a jumping dropkick from Austin did and the big near 7 footer crashed to the floor as Austin's music played. Match Time: 23:21 Cole: "Heidenreich has been eliminated and I would go as far as saying that this may be the most unlikely winner we've ever had Jesse"! AS AUSTIN WALKED UP THE RAMP, RIC FLAIR CAME OUT TO CONGRATULATE HIM. Ventura: "This could be the breakout Ric Flair has been promising from this kid Michael! And now, we all get to hear his New Year's resolution"! Cole: "Well let's just hope he doesn't get any influence from the Nature Boy on that one"! Ventura: "That's a comment that you need to take back Michael! Ric Flair has forgotten more about this business than you'll ever know! Who knows what would be better for PrimeTime than him"! "YOU THINK YOU ME" LEADS INTO "NEVER GONNA STOP" BY ROB ZOMBIE. EDGE RUNS OUT TO ONE OF THE NIGHT's BIGGER POPS WITH THE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE TUCKED UNDER HIS SHINY BLACK TRENCH COAT. Ventura: "Since returning to the TWF, Edge has been one of the top superstars around here Michael and to my knowledge, this will be the first time these two have ever met one on one"! Cole: "My records here show the same thing and it will be for one of the more prestigous titles in wrestling, the Intercontinental gold". THE CAMERA GETS A SHOT OF THE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE GLEAMING IN THE HANDS OF REFEREE CHARLES ROBINSON WHO IS HOLDING IT UP FOR THE CROWD TO SEE AS THE BELL SOUNDS. TWF Intercontinental Title Match Challenger: Sean O'Haire vs. Edge The match started with a traditonal collar and elbow tie and O'Haire quickly went into hammerlock. He pushed Edge to the corner where Robinson asked for a break. O'Haire then tried to catch Edge with a cheap shot but Edge blocked the right hand and fired back with a couple of his own. O'Haire then took a wild swing but Edge ducked and pulled him down with the Edge-O-Matic. O'Haire barely kicked out before a 3 count and he was clearly rattled. Edge then hit the ropes but O'Haire got in a well placed kneelift followed by a soccer style kick right in the chest. O'Haire then went into a reverse chin lock, digging his knee into the back of Edge. But Edge fought through it and got back to a vertical base, drilling O'Haire with 2 elbows to the midsection. He then tried to hit the ropes but O'Haire pulled him down by his long blonde locks, drawing a warning from Robinson. O'Haire then went to the middle turnbuckle, looking for a fistdrop but Edge moved out of the way. He then got up and hit the ropes, going for a spear but O'Haire pulled Robinson in his way and Edge took him out! O'Haire then went for a jumping spin kick but Edge moved and hit a big DDT. Heidenreich came running out and go into the ring but Edge smoked him with the spear. But when Edge turned around, Axl Irvin had come out and using the Intercontinental title, smashed Edge in the face with it. O'Haire then got up and when Edge stumbled to his feet, O'Haire knocked him cold with a martial arts kick to the chops and Robinson was up to make the 1...........2............3 as the crowd severely protested. Cole: "Sean O'Haire has gotten his first taste of TWF gold with the help of Axl Irvin and I can't figure that out"! Ventura: "Edge made a comment to Axl a couple weeks ago Cole that got under his skin and it has led to this"! EDGE WAS SHOWN IN THE RING, GRABBING AT HIS OWN HAIR AS HE WATCHED HELPLESSLY AS O'HAIRE AND HEIDENREICH LEFT WITH THE BELT. Cole: "Well you can bet that Edge is gonna have a strong response to this"! BACKSTAGE....... CAMERAS IN THE BACKSTAGE AREA SHOWED JORDAN ROCKWELL FRANTICALLY LOOKING FOR LITA WHEN DYLAN JANSENS CAME UP. Dylan Jansens: "Jordan, what are you doing man"? Jordan Rockwell: "I gotta find Lita DJ, one of the security guards said he saw her"! Jansens: "Listen man, I know she's your wife, but she knows how to handle herself. Don't let Thompson throw you off your game, we still gotta go into that cell tonight". Rockwell: "You're right man.... she'll be okay". Jansens: "Okay, I'll see you out there man". JANSENS WALKS AWAY AND ROCKWELL KICKS OVER A NEAR BY TRASH RECEPTACLE IN SHEER FRUSTRATION. "619" HITS AND REY MYSTERIO POPS UP FROM UNDER THE ENTRANCE RAMP WEARING A PURPLE OUTFIT THAT RESEMBLED THAT OF SUPER HERO FLASH. Cole: "It's time for our fatal four way for the Lightheavyweight title and as they say in Nascar, start your engines"! Ventura: "We both know that perhaps my favorite part of PrimeTime is our unmatched Lightheavyweight division and this is gonna be one hell of a match"! A.J. STYLES' MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT TO A BIG POP. Cole: "A.J. Styles is a recent addition to the PrimeTime roster but his skills are world renowned and I can't wait to see them in this one"! Ventura: "A.J. Styles may be the wild card in this match because there are a lot of people out there who don't realize just how good this guy is Michael". FLAMES RISE UP ON EITHER SIDE OF THE ENTRANCE AS ULTIMO DRAGON's MUSIC HITS. HE COMES OUT TO A GREAT CHEER, GETTING ONTO THE TURNBUCKLE AND SWINGING HIS CAPE INTO THE CROWD. Cole: "Ultimo Dragon held nine titles at one time at one point in his career and he is a former Lightheavyweight champion, one that had his title taken away without getting beat for it"! Ventura: "And this would be an ample oppurtunity for Ultimo to get that title back but it's not gonna be easy"! "OOOH CHAVO" IS HEARD AND THE FEMALE VOICE LEADS INTO CHAVO GUERRERO's MUSIC AND HE COMES OUT TO A RESPECTABLE CHEER WITH THE LIGHTHEAYVWEIGHT TITLE AROUND HIS WAIST. Cole: "No it's not but what about the situation this guy has been put in? He is up against three of the best lightheavyweight competitors in the world and the man to score the first decision wins"! Ventura: "So Chavo could lose the title without even being involved in the decision so he's gonna have to pull out all the stops tonight"! Cole: "Referee Brian Hebner better have his eyes on all these guys at all times, if that's possible". Ventura: "Yeah because if he blinks, he might miss something"! Fatal 4 Way/TWF Lightheavyweight Title Match Rey Mysterio vs. A.J. Styles vs. Ultimo Dragon vs. (c) Chavo Guerrero The bell sounded and the match was underway. Rey and Ultimo stood and watched as Styles and Chavo exchanged words. After A.J. shoved him, Chavo responded with a right hand. Ultimo and Rey moved in and pulled Chavo off. But Chavo smacked Rey with a right hand and Styles dropkicked an unsuspecting Ultimo into the ring ropes. Styles charged in but Ultimo backdropped him over the top rope. Styles landed on the apron and pulled Ultimo down before hitting a beautiful springboard moonsault to get the 1........2......., but Chavo broke it up. Mysterio got up and used a drop toehold to set up Chavo for the 6-1-9 but after hitting the ropes, he ran into a spinning heel kick from the Dragon who then hit a standing moonsault for a long 2 count. Chavo got up and pulled Ultimo it for a reverse falling DDT. A nice move but he couldn't make the cover because Styles came from behind with a backslide and nearly took the title just like that. Styles then went to the apron again but this time, Mysterio got up and dropkicked him to the floor. Rey then followed him out with a twisting body attack. Both men were down as Ultimo and Chavo went at it in the ring. After countering the Dragon DDT, Chavo pushed Ultimo to the ropes before running at him but Ultimo sidestepped him and threw him over the top rope. Ultimo then went for a baseball slide but he missed it and Styles caught him, turning it into a reverse DDT on the floor, a move that drew rave reactions from the crowd. Styles then called for some kind of spectacular move and the crowd seemed as if they knew what it was. Styles hit the ropes on the far side and went for a vaulting shooting star. But Rey, Chavo and the Dragon all moved out of the way and A.J. smacked the ground face first. Chavo then knocked Rey down with a right hand as Ultimo rolled Styles into the ring. Chavo ran at the Dragon but was put down with a drop toehold, this one putting him face first into the ring steps. Ultimo slid into the ring and went to the top rope, landing on Styles with an awesome corkscrew moonsault and hooking the near leg as Hebner pounded the mat 3 times. Match Time: 8:27 ULTIMO DROPPED TO HIS KNEES AS HEBNER HANDED HIM THE BELT AND THE CROWD BURST INTO CHEERS AS HE HELD IT UP WITH BOTH HANDS. Cole: "What a scene hear at War in the Winter! Ironically, it was at this event last year that Ultimo won this title for the first time"! Ventura: "Well let's just hope for his sake that this reign doesn't end like the last one did but give the Dragon a lot of credit, that was one hell of a performance"! Cole: "That was one hell of a match and one hell of a win"! JUST THEN, A VOICE COMES OVER THE LOUDSPEAKERS RIGHT AS ULTIMO HEADS BACKSTAGE. Voice: "Ohhhhhh Rockwell. I know you're listening Rockwell". IT WAS THE VOICE OF SHANE THOMPSON. Cole: "What the heck"? Shane Thompson: "Here Jordan, I think I have someone who wants to talk to you". FANS ARE AMAZED WHEN THEY HEAR LITA's VOICE. Lita: "Jordan, Jordan, it's me. Don't worry, I'm okay. I'll see you soon so...... Thompson: "Ah that's about enough. I'll see you in the cell Rockwell". THOMPSON LAUGHS AS HIS VOICE CUTS OUT. Ventura: "Thompson may've gona too far this time". Cole: "What a sicko". A DARK ALLEY IS SHOWN, LIT ONLY BY A FLICKERING STREET LIGHT OUTSIDE AN OLD BRICK BUILDING. JORDAN ROCKWELL, CHRIS TIRPAK, CHAOS WOLF AND DYLAN JANSENS ARE WALKING THROUGH THE ALLEY. BEFORE THEY GET TO THE END OF THE WALKWAY, DREW BLOOD, VISCERA AND MORDECAI COME OUT FROM AROUND THE CORNER. AFTER A LONG STARE DOWN, ALL OF THEM LOOK UPWARDS AS THE ROYAL RUMBLE LOGO ILLUMINATES OFF THE TOP OF THE BUILDING. THE 2005 ROYAL RUMBLE, LIVE AND ONLY ON PAY-PER-VIEW. FROM THE NATIONWIDE ARENA IN COLUMBUS, OHIO. BATISTA's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT FLEXING HIS IMPRESSIVE PHYSIQUE WITH SABLE BEHIND HIM. THE CROWD RESPONDS WITH A MIXED REACTION. Cole: "The Royal Rumble is coming with the winner getting a spot in the main event at WrestleMania and we all know what kind of damage a man like this can do in that match". Ventura: "And Randy Orton is about to find that out first hand here". Cole: "Well for those of you who've been living in a closet for the past few weeks, these two former tag team partners are going to fight over what happened between Orton and Batista's manager, Sable, something that was caught on amatuer video Jesse". "TAKE WHAT's MINE" HITS AND OUT COMES RANDY ORTON AMID A POURING GOLD PYRO SHOWER AND HE IS GIVEN A HUGE REACTION. Ventura: "Yes and I didn't want to believe it until Orton showed it for the world to see on PrimeTime and if I were Sable I'd be mad too"! Cole: "Well one thing I could see that was very clear on the tape Jesse is the fact that Orton wasn't holding a gun to her head! She was there on her own free will"! Ventura: "Well Orton is gonna have to ask himself if it was worth it after this match"! Batista w/ Sable vs. Randy Orton This was by many accounts the best match of the night as two former friends and tag team partners went at it with Sable looking on. Early on, Batista took out his anger, pounding the smaller Orton with a physical attack. Orton was able to punch his way back into the match but after hitting the ropes, he ran right into a bear hug. Batista swung him around in his massive arms and pretty soon, Orton seemed lifeless. Finally, referee Mike Enos moved in and checked Orton's arms. The right arm dropped twice but he held it up on the third try and with the energy back into the crowd, Orton escaped after an ear clap. He then hit a nice standing dropkick followed by a couple forearm shivers. Orton then went for an irish whip but Batista reversed it and went for a clothesline. Orton ducked and went for the "RKO" but Batista saw it coming and pushed him away. He then trounced him with a clothesline before flexing again and letting out a yell as Sable clapped from the outside. Batista then put Orton up on his shoulders, looking to finish him off with a running powerslam. But Orton was able to slip off and kick him in the gut before delivering the O-Zone, once his finishing move. He went for the cover but Batista pushed him off, over referee Enos. Orton stayed on the attack though, grabbing him in a side headlock. But the powerful Batista countered with a backdrop suplex that dumped Orton right on his head. Sable especially liked this and Batista said it was time to end it. He picked him up for the big sit out powerbomb but Orton cleverly countered into a DDT. He went for the cover and again got a 2 count. But Batista had been taken off his game as Orton hit another dropkick before pulling the back of his head down over his extended knee. Orton went into another cover and got 1........2........, but Batista was up. Orton had another irish whip reversed but he leapfrogged Batista and then small packaged him for what most everyone thought was a 3 count, but Enos called it 2. Orton threw another dropkick that found the mark before going to the top rope. Orton patiently waited for Batista to get up and he blew a kiss at Sable. He flew off with a cross body block but Batista caught him in mid air and drove him into the mat with a powerslam. Batista then got up and yelled "come on". Orton got up and Batista picked him up, putting him down with the sit out powerbomb for the 1..........2..........3. Match Time: 10:11 Ventura: "Put it in the books! Batista has beaten Orton"! Cole: "A great match between two former allies but a huge win for the mighty Batista who is making War in the Winter a big event for himself"! Ventura: "So was it worth it Randy"?! AS BATISTA's MUSIC PLAYED, MANY FANS WERE HAPPY TO SEE HIM WALK AWAY, LEAVING A CONFUSED SABLE BEHIND. Cole: "Wait, look at this"! Ventura: "What is he doing"?! CAMERAS SHOWED ORTON, WHO WAS STILL SHAKING OFF THE EFFECTS OF THE POWERBOMB, ABLE TO CRACK A SMILE AND LAUGH AT SABLE. Cole: "I don't know, ask him now! Maybe it was worth it"! BACKSTAGE AREA....... CAMERAS SHOW RHYNO PACING BACK AND FORTH IN HIS DRESSING ROOM WHEN SHANE THOMPSON ENTERS. Shane Thompson: "You ready"? Rhyno: "Am I ready? What does it look like?! I just hope you're as focused on our match as you are getting into the heads of those two". Thompson: "Oh trust me..... things are gonna get much more interesting". BACK INSIDE THE ARENA, THE CELL IS SHOWN LOWERING FROM THE CEILING. Cole: "The tag team hell in a cell is just moments away fans and somehow, I'm sure Shane Thompson will make good on that last statement". AS THE HELL IN A CELL STRUCTURE IS SHOWN OVER A RING, "RISE UP" BY DROWNING POOL BEGINS TO PLAY. THE FACES OF JORDAN ROCKWELL, DYLAN JANSENS, SHANE THOMPSON AND RHYNO ARE SHOWN. A CLIP OF ROCKWELL BEING KIDNAPPED BY THOMPSON IS PLAYED FOLLOWED BY JANSENS DEFEATING RHYNO FOR THE UNIVERSAL TITLE AT KING OF THE RING. THAT IS FOLLOWED BY ROCKWELL PINNING SHANE THOMPSON IN HIS ELIMINATION MATCH AT KING OF THE RING AND THEN GOING ALL THE WAY TO WIN THE KING OF THE RING CROWN. AFTER A FEW HEATED WORDS BETWEEN THE 4 MEN ON PRIMETIME, JANSENS AGAIN DEFEATS RHYNO TO RETAIN HIS TITLE BUT A SHOT OF THOMPSON IS SHOWN WITH THE ILLUSION OF THE VIEW GOING INSIDE HIS HEAD AND SHOWING A SHOT OF LITA ROCKING HER AND JORDAN's BABY. THE LAST SHOT IS OF ROCKWELL GOING TO LITA's DRESSING ROOM ON MAIN EVENT AND REALIZING SHE's NOT THERE. THE CLIP ENDS WITH THOMPSON LEAVING INSIDE A VEHICLE IN WHICH LITA WAS BELIEVED TO BE IN AS WELL. AS SOON AS "RISE UP" STOPS PLAYING, A DEMENTED LAUGH FOLLOWS WITH A FINAL LOOK AT THE CELL. BACKSTAGE AREA...... THE SHOT GOES BACKSTAGE INTO SHANE McMAHON's OFFICE AND FANS SEEM THRILLED TO SEE TRAVIS WAKEMAN AT THE FOOT OF SHANE's DESK. Shane McMahon: "Look, I'm sure we can work things out with your contract. I didn't realize your obligations to PrimeTime had ran out but I'll do whatever I need to to make sure you don't end up on Rampage". Travis Wakeman: "Well, thanks to Batista, I can't ever win the Universal title again, but if there's a way you could overturn that then I would think about re-signing". Shane: "Well, those resolutions are a binding contract and I am obligated to uphold those. Just give me some time, I promise I'll come up with something". WITH THE CELL NOW FULLY ENCOMPASSING THE RING, "OVER MY HEAD" BY LIT TRACK HITS BRINGING JORDAN ROCKWELL AND DYLAN JANSENS OUT TOGETHER TO THE LOUDEST CHEER OF THE NIGHT. Cole: "I know we're about ready for our main event Body but was that Travis Wakeman negotiating a contract with Shane O' Mac"? Ventura: "It sure was". Cole: "Well let me pass along the message to Shane to do whatever it takes to keep him on PrimeTime"! Ventura: "Taking a look at that cell Michael, it is more than demonic"! Cole: "It is career shortening and possibly career threatening but Rockwell and Jansens seem to understand the task at hand"! RHYNO's MUSIC HITS AND HE COMES OUT TO A MIXED REACTION, BEATING HIS CHEST. Ventura: "And in my opinion Michael, this is the hungriest man in this match! After back to back losses to Dylan Jansens, he's got a lot to prove tonight"! SUDDENLY, LITA COMES THROUGH THE CURTAIN, RUNNING TO THE RING. ROCKWELL RUNS OUT TO MEET HER IN THE AISLE AS "WAITING TO DIE" BY HED LOUDLY PLAYS AND SHANE THOMPSON COMES OUT. INSIDE THE CELL, RHYNO AND JANSENS ARE ALREADY GOING AT IT AND ROCKWELL AD THOMPSON MEET IN THE AISLE, EXCHANGING SHOTS. Cole: "This thing is underway! There's action inside and outside the cell"! Ventura: "Lita better find a good place to hide! She's in the middle of all of this"! Hell in a Cell Shane Thompson and Rhyno vs. Dylan Jansens and Jordan Rockwell Thompson and Rockwell exchanged haymakers until Rockwell got a knee lift in and rammed him into the wall of the cell. In the ring, Rhyno was choking the life out of Jansens with both hands so Rockwell ordered the timekeeper to get off his chair and he took it. Rockwell folded the chair and brought it into the ring, smacking Rhyno over the back with it. Rockwell then drove the base of the chair into the ribs of Rhyno but he was nailed from behind by Thompson. Thompson then picked up the chair and blasted Rockwell over the head. Jansens tackled Thompson and wailed away on him with a series of right hands. Rockwell got to his feet, his face dripping with blood. Rhyno picked him up and drove him into the mat with a spinebuster before he and Thompson put the boots to Jansens. Both of them then grabbed the Universal champion by the hair and flung him over the top rope and Jansens went back first into the cell, landing hard on the floor. After a superkick by Thompson, Rhyno covered Rockwell but could only get a 2 count. Rhyno then removed one of the turnbuckle pads, exposing even more steel. Thompson picked Rockwell up and went to ram him into the exposed bolt but Rockwell blocked it with his foot and elbowed Thompson in the midsection before ramming him into it. Jansens then got up and caught Rhyno with a spinning wheel kick before going to the top rope. Rockwell then set Rhyno up and Jansens grabbed his feet and jumped off to complete a devastating spike piledriver. But Thompson was up and he had some sort of foreign object he'd pulled from his boot. It was some sort of small metal object and he hammered Jansens in the back of the head with it. He swung it at Rockwell but Rockwell ducked and the weapon flew out of Thompson's hands and landed on the floor. Thompson then threw a kick but Rockwell caught it, only to be put down with a dragon whip kick. With all 3 men down, Thompson turned his attention to Lita. Terrified, Lita began to climb the cell but Thompson exited through the door and followed her. Rockwell got up and went up as well. Meanwhile, Rhyno had a cover on Jansens in the ring and got 1.........2........., but Jansens got a shoulder up. Thompson was stalking Lita on top of the cell but Rockwell got up there and came at Thompson. Thompson turned and threw a right hand but Rockwell blocked it and the two were trading shots on the top of the cell! Inside the cell and the ring, Rhyno miscalculated the "Gore" and Jansens put him down with a spinning roundhouse kick. He then went to the top rope and flew off with a hurracanrana but Rhyno was able to catch him and maintain him on his shoulders. However, Jansens avoided a powerbomb, countering into a beautiful victory roll to get the 1.......2..........3. The crowd went crazy as Jansens got his hand raised but they were all focused on what was still going on atop the cell. Rockwell was set to deliver the Rock Smasher but Thompson countered with an elbow to the side of the head and then he just kicked him in the groin. Rockwell went down in pain but Lita got an angry look on her face and when Thompson turned around, she kicked him right in the face! The momentum of the shot forced Thompson back and although he did his best to hold his balance, he fell from the cell, crashing through the announce table as Cole and Ventura scrambled to miss him. Cole: "Oh my God! Shane Thompson has just fallen about twenty feet from the cell"! Ventura: "Is he alive"? LITA COVERED HER MOUTH AS SHE COULD NOT BELIEVE WHAT SHE'D JUST DONE AND JANSENS WAS IN SHOCK TOO. BUT ROCKWELL GOT UP AND PEERED DOWN WITH HIS BLOOD SOAKED FACE, ABLE TO CRACK A SMILE. Cole: "I don't know what's gonna become of this folks but no matter what happens, we will never forget the 2004 War in the Winter"!
