TWF SlaughterHouse is off to a running start. With 2 episodes in the books and a third on the way, it's clear to see that the TWF's daring risk to create a third brand is paying off. Recently when the PPV lineup was released through August 2005, SlaughterHouse was awarded 6 events with it's first being Overload in just about 10 days. Joe Diano is working round the clock to put this great brand on the map and recently wheeled and dealed to acquire his first big name superstar, Chris Benoit. He has some huge storylines being planned and I hope you guys are liking SlaughterHouse. But with the second episode being the second highest rated show on cable TV on April 17th, I'm not worried.
RECENTLY A LIST WAS COMPILED OF THE 15 MOST INFLUENTIAL PEOPLE IN THE TWF TODAY.... LET's TAKE A LOOK AT WHO MADE IT AND MAYBE MORE NOTABLY, WHO DIDN'T:
1. The fans: If it wasn't for the fans of the TWF, there would be no TWF at all. Without the fans spending their hard earned money to buy tickets, merchandise and consessions, the superstars wouldn't have jobs.
2. Vince McMahon: The father of sports entertainment comes in at the two spot due to the fact that he has dedicated himself to the betterment of the business and showing that the people that work for him are more than just wrestlers and he hasdedicated himself to the fans that show their loyalty to his company.
3. Shane/Stephanie McMahon: The boy wonder and the billion dollar princess have taken over RAW and PrimeTime and taken the TWF to new heights with their father's sense for business and the will to succeed. They have proven that they know what they are doing and know how to do it period.
4. Hulk Hogan: From the start of the whole sports entertainment era in the 80's, Hogan was the guy that carried the ball and steamrolled to the goal line for the touchdown and opened new doors for wrestling superstars.
5. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin: Proof positive that you don't have to be all glitzy and glamourous to make it in wrestling, Steve Austin gave a giant finger to the establishment and got to the top the old fashion way.... hard work!
6. Kid Gundam: The man whose legacy is set in stone and put on a pedastil as high as mount olympus, Gundam was the first new face to join up with Vince McMahon and the TWF and was also one of three men Shane McmMhon took and rebuilt PrimeTime around.
7. The Undertaker: Still after all this time one of the true greats in the sport and in the TWF a man who proves he can still dominate no matter what and a person who has influenced a majority of tTWF superstars.
8. Travis Wakeman: The second of the three men Shane McMahon rebuilt PrimeTime around, the technical magician has helped to revolutionize the actual art of wrestling in the TWF and is a well respected member of the TWF family.
9. Jordan Rockwell: The third member of the trio that Shane McMahon has rebuilt PrimeTime around, Rockwell has become the most successful young man in the history of the TWF and due to his loyalty to PrimeTime, it's general manager and to it's locker room, has been given the moniker of the franchise of PrimeTime.
10. Bahamut/Strife: Considered to be the greatest tag team in the companies history, the two titans remolded the art of tag team wrestling by dominating everyone that stepped in their path and managed to put aside their personal diffrences in the process.
11. High Octane: Proof positive you don't have to be a giant to get ahead in the business, Octane is one of the guys that has made an impact on RAW and in the TWF since his first day in the door. He has improved so much everyone feels it is only a matter of time before he wears a world title around his waist.
12. Alex Miran: This blond bombshell shook up the TWF and it's women's division since her first day in the company by simply proving she is not just another pretty face and earning everything she's gotten and will get in the future.
13. Nails: The man that proves age is nothing in the business and that hardcore wrestling is a way of life not just an attitude. While he hides his image behind a mask, he doesn't hide his greatness and his no fear mentality.
14. Shane Thompson/Austin Pyromania: These guys are tied for this spot because both have been through rough periods in their TWF careers and went through it and walked right into superstardom where they proved they belong.
15. Team TWF: This spot is last but not least and it is given to the people that put all of the TWF together, all the behind the scenes people that don't always get credit for their contribution to the TWF.
This next spot in the corner has been reserved for a guy who has become a good, real life friend of mine. He has been kind enough to agree to work for my company and share his vast wrestling knowlegde. He will be writing a column called the LowDown and I know you guys will like it. Here is a statement from our new employee:
First and foremost, I'd like to introduce myself, my name is Gabe Morales. I used be apart of a rival promotion. I'm not here to give them publicity, it's just a fact that I was down in the minors, now I'm proud to say I'm in the big leagues : The TWF. I've known the owner of this fine establishment, Travis Wakeman, for many years. Although this is the first time we've worked together, I've always admired his work. He has built this great organization into a monster. My role within this company is as a columnist. I plan on giving my opinions on what is going down on both Raw and PrimeTime. I will also give shout outs to superstars I feel are are taking care of business, thus deserving to be recognized. I'm not here to kiss anybody's ass, let me make that perfectly clear. My thoughts are not going to be censored in anyway. Travis has assured me there will be no "FCC-ing" of this column. I'm not a "yes man", so this is the honest to God truth, there is nothing but the best here. From the talent, to the storylines, to way things are run here, it's nothing but first class. I'm really excited about joining the TWF family. If you have any questions for me or if you just want to get a heads up on what I'm all about, email me at gmorales14@comcast.net . I'll be more than happy to answer anything. I'll follow up this statement with my very first column in due time
The Countdown to The LowDown is on!!!!!
