"BIG THINGS POPPIN'" BY T.I. HITS AND THE FIREWORKS GO OFF TO START BADLANDZ! WE ARE IN THE BIG EASY, AND NEW ORLEANS CAN'T WAIT TO GET STARTED!!
Mike Tenay: Welcome to Badlandz everyone, we're coming live from New Orleans, Louisiana!
Brooklyn Brawler: Woo, I love New Orleans! Parties, girls, girls showing their...
Mike Tenay: Okay, okay. We get it Brawler, you love New Orleans. And guess what? New Orleans loves us! TWF's fourth brand, Badlandz, is coming to you live as I said, and what a night we've got in store!
Brooklyn Brawler: Oh yeah, Tenay! Ron Killings takes on Marcus Cor Von, AMW takes on Scott Steiner and The Outlaw in non-title action, and that's not it.
Mike Tenay: No it's not, Brawler. And one of our other matches, a Fatal Four Way to determine the number one contender for the Badlandz World Title! Val Venis, AJ Styles, Chuck Palumbo, and the newest Badlandz member, The Sandman, will all be competing for the Number One Contendership!
SUDDENLY "BREAK THE WALLS DOWN" BY SEVENDUST HITS AND THE CROWD COMES TO THEIR FEET FOLLOWED BY DEAFENING CHEERS!
Mike Tenay: And ladies and gentlemen, let's get it started! Last week, Bull Buchanon said he had a tag team partner and told Chris Jericho to get one of his own. Let's see who they've got!
Brooklyn Brawler: Honestly Tenay, it doesn't really matter in my opinion. I mean, we all know that Jericho has no chance against Buchanon. Didn't Bull already prove that at Apocalypse Now!?
Tenay: No chance? You've got to be kidding me Brawler.
JERICHO SLAPS HANDS WITH A FEW OF THE FANS AT RINGSIDE BEFORE GETTING UP ONTO THE RING APRON FOR HIS SIGNATURE POSE. JERICHO STEPS INTO THE RING AND EVERYONE AWAITS HIS MYSTERY PARTNER.
Mike Tenay: Who do you think it's gonna be, Brawler?
Brooklyn Brawler: As I said, it doesn't matter. Not like these guys can win anyways...
"COP KILLA" HITS AND THE CROWD COMES TO THEIR FEET WITH MOSTLY CHEERS FOR "THE NOTORIOUS 187," HOMICIDE.
Brooklyn Brawler: What is Jericho thinking? This guy couldn't win if his life depended on it!
Mike Tenay: Can't win, Brawler? Last time I checked he pinned Booker T last week...
Brooklyn Brawler: By cheating! God, get your eyes checked, Tenay.
Mike Tenay: Oh yeah, Brawler, I forgot... Booker T never cheats!
JERICHO AND HOMICIDE SHAKE HANDS IN THE RING AND AWAIT BUCHANON AND HIS MYSTERY PARTNER. BULL BUCHANON'S MUSIC HITS AND THE CROWD COMES TO THEIR FEET IN A JOINT BOO, BUT BUCHANON DOESN'T COME OUT. JERICHO AND HOMICIDE LOOK AT EACHOTHER AND WONDER WHAT'S GOING ON WHEN SUDDENLY BOTH MEN GET ATTACKED BY BULL BUCHANON AND THE NEWEST MEMBER OF BADLANDZ... MISTER HUGHES!!!
Mike Tenay: What! That's Mr. Hughes!
Brooklyn Brawler: Now that is a good mystery partner, Tenay! Woo!
BUCHANON AND HUGHES COMBINE TO THROW JERICHO OUT OF THE RING AND THEN STAND OVER HOMICIDE. BUCHANON PICKS HIM UP AND THROWS HIM OFF THE ROPES, ONLY FOR HUGHES TO PUT HIM DOWN WITH A BEAUTIFUL MOVE, A CHOKESLAM INTO A SITOUT POWERBOMB! BUCHANON THEN PICKS HIM UP ONCE AGAIN AND HUGHES PICKS HIM UP ONTO HIS SHOULDERS. HUGHES WALKS OVER TO THE TURNBUCKLE AND STANDS ON THE SECOND ROPE FACING THE CROWD BEFORE COMING OFF WITH A HUGE SAMOAN DROP! THE CROWD IS BOOING LIKE CRAZY BEFORE JERICHO COMES BACK INTO THE RING WITH A STEEL CHAIR AND BUCHANON AND HUGHES SCATTER.
Mike Tenay: Oh my god...
Brooklyn Brawler: This is awesome, Tenay! Haha! We've got some pretty big guys, Test, A-Train, Kane... But Mr. Hughes is most likely the most powerful of them all!
Mike Tenay: Mr. Hughes just decimated Homicide, but he also ran like a little girl with Bull Buchanon from Y2J! We need medical assistance because Homicide could be seriously hurt!
WE GO TO A COMMERCIAL BREAK...
COMMERCIAL BREAK. A TRAILER FOR THE CONDEMNED, STARRING FORMER TWF SUPERSTAR STEVE AUSTIN, OUT ON DVD TODAY. A COMMERCIAL FOR TBS' HIT SHOW, TYLER PERRY PRESENTS: HOUSE OF PAYNE.
WHEN WE RETURN, NUNZIO IS SEEN FLYING OUT OF THE LOCKERROOM. THE SANDMAN WALKS OUT BEHIND HIM, LAUGHING, SMOKING A CIGARETTE, AND WIELDING HIS SINGAPORE CANE. THE CROWD IS GOING WILD AS NUNZIO IS TRYING TO CATCH HIS BREATH.
Nunzio: Can't we be peaceful? We'll have ya back, for free! Well, maybe not free... But we'll have your back!
SANDMAN HITS NUNZIO RIGHT ACROSS THE BACK WITH THE SINGAPORE CANE AND THE CROWD LAUGHS AT NUNZIO'S PAIN.
Nunzio: Okay! Free!
SANDMAN IS ABOUT TO HIT NUNZIO BUT STOPS HIMSELF, SEEMINGLY AGREEING TO THE DEAL. SANDMAN PUTS HIS ARM AROUND NUNZIO AND SITS HIM DOWN ON THE FOOD BUFFET. SANDMAN TAKES A FEW PUFFS OF HIS CIGARETTE AND BLOWS THE SMOKE INTO NUNZIOS FACE.
Nunzio: So... What do you need help with?
The Sandman: Help? I just wanted a cigarette break...
SANDMAN STANDS UP AND SLAMS NUNZIO THROUGH THE TABLE WITH A WHITE RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP. SANDMAN STANDS UP AND LAUGHS AS THE CROWD CAN BE HEARD LAUGHING TOO. SANDMAN PICKS UP ONE OF THE APPLES FROM THE FOOD BUFFET.
The Sandman: Talk about food to die for...
SANDMAN WALKS OUT OF THE SCENE AS NUNZIO IS PASSED OUT ON THE FLOOR, SURROUNDED BY FOOD AND BROKEN TABLE BITS.
Mike Tenay: Haha! Talk about a guy who's making an impact, huh Brawler?
Brooklyn Brawler: What a disgrace. That guy isn't a wrestler, he's a drunk!
Mike Tenay: Watch out Brawler, say that any louder and it'll be you in Nunzio's position... Actually, say it louder, please!
AT THAT NOTE, "TAKE IT TO THE STREETS" HITS AND D'LO BROWN COMES OUT TO A GREAT REACTION FROM THE LOUISIANA CROWD.
Mike Tenay: And here's a guy who had a pretty good career in the TWF before coming to Badlandz, and has proven that he's still got it since coming to Badlandz!
Brooklyn Brawler: Yeah, how do you figure?
Mike Tenay: Maybe the fact that he's won matches and when he hasn't, he's taken his opponents to the limit.
Brooklyn Brawler: Hm, let's see if I agree with you... No, no I don't.
Mike Tenay: I'm heartbroken, Brawler, absolutely heartbroken.
THE FBI'S MUSIC HITS AND THE CROWD COMES TO THEIR FEET TO ABUSE MARK JINDRAK WITH BOOS.
Brooklyn Brawler: You want to talk about a guy who's got it? Mark Jindrak! He's got the body, he's got the skills, and he's got the FBI!
Mike Tenay: Not tonight, Brawler. Tonight he's coming out here on his own, and he's taking on a veteran of the wrestling business.
Brooklyn Brawler: God, you sound like Ron Killings, Tenay! Experience? That means nothing!
Mike Tenay: Last time I checked, under Ron Killings' tutolage... Jindrak got a win over Chris Jericho.
Brooklyn Brawler: Yeah, yeah. Well, tonight, he'll prove he can do it on his own! Mark my words...
Jindrak, as usual, is extremely cocky and taunts D'Lo from the get-go. Jindrak gets in D'Lo's face and begins trash talking him, but that proves to be a mistake because D'Lo lays him out with a right hand to the jaw. Jindrak gets up but gets tagged with two more punches before getting irish whipped and taken down with a Back Elbow from D'Lo. D'Lo stays on the offensive with two knees to the stomach before hitting a nicely done Snap Suplex, getting a two count in the process. D'Lo goes to pick up Jindrak again, but Jindrak gets a thumb to the eye followed by a Backbreaker. Jindrak, once again, taunts to the crowd, but quickly goes back to D'Lo, placing two boots across his chest before getting incredible elevation for an Elbow Drop. Jindrak goes into the cover, but gets only a two count. Jindrak drops three more Elbow Drops consecutively, then goes for another pin, once again getting only a two count. Jindrak claps his hands three times to signify that he thought it was a three count, but referee Nick Patrick stands his ground. Jindrak goes back on the offensive, but catches to right hands to the stomach before D'Lo hits a very impressive Flip Over Reverse DDT. D'Lo waits for Jindrak to his knees, and then hits the Shining Impact, getting a long two count. D'Lo called for the end of the match when Johnny Stamboli and Big Vito began to walk down the ramp. They didn't get more than halfway down the ramp before The Sandman emerged from the crowd and chased them off with his Singapore Cane. D'Lo laughed and then climbed up to the top rope, but received an incredible Standing Dropkick on his way up from Jindrak! Jindrak climbed up to the top rope and got D'Lo in position for a Mark of Excellence all the way from the top rope! Jindrak is about to pull it off, but D'Lo holds on to the top and Jindrak goes flying to the mat. D'Lo quickly capatilizes and hits the Lo Down, going into the cover for the 1, 2, 3!
Match Time: 6:44
Brooklyn Brawler: No! I can't believe this! D'Lo Brown cheated!
Mike Tenay: I think we hear that phrase come from your mouth everytime D'Lo Brown wins. And guess what? He never cheats!
Brooklyn Brawler: He'll pay for this, Tenay, he'll pay!
PATRICK RAISES D'LO'S HAND IN THE AIR IN VICTORY AS JINDRAK IS STILL FEELING THE EFFECTS OF THE LO DOWN. RON KILLINGS CAN THEN BE SEEN ON THE STAGE LAUGHING AS JINDRAK SPOTS HIM AND IS FURIOUS.
THE SCENE SHOWS UP BACKSTAGE AND JOSH MATTHEWS IS STANDING BY WITH MARCUS COR VON.
Josh Matthews: Ladies and gentlemen, I'm standing by with a man who has a match up next, Marcus Cor Von. Now Ron Killings is a guy who has been on a hot streak lately, last week getting a win in the Main Event, and then at Apocalypse Now! he took down the entire FBI. What are your thoughts on that?
Marcus Cor Von: The Alpha Male isn't even gonna spend a thought on that Josh Matthews, because he's got much more important things to worry about. Last week, Val Venis escaped with a win over The Alpha Male. And you know what the result of that was, Josh Matthews? It was him suffering a severe concussion! And what does The Alpha Male get for that, huh? He gets left out of the match to decide the next number one contender?!
Josh Matthews: Well, Val Venis won the match and...
Marcus Cor Von: And nothing! Since Marcus Cor Von has signed the contract to wrestle on Badlandz, it's been all about one thing: me! It doesn't matter who, it doesn't matter where, and it doesn't matter when... All that matters is that Marcus Cor Von will dominate! So Ron Killings, welcome to the Serengeti... Because Truth, you're about to face the truth, and that is that the only way you'll be leaving the Serengeti is on a first class flight to hell via the POUUUUUUUUUUUNCEAH... PERIOD!
COR VON WALKS AWAY AS THE SCENE SHIFTS BACK TO THE RING WHERE JEREMY BORASH IS STANDING BY FOR THE RING INTRODUCTIONS TO OUR NEXT MATCH. "DROP THE BOMBSHELL" BY POWERMAN 5000 HITS AND THE DUDLEY BOYZ COME OUT TO A SURPRISINGLY MIXED REACTION, AS THEY'RE USUALLY SEEN AS FAN FAVORITES.
Mike Tenay: Marcus Cor Von seemed intent on winning as usual, Brawler, but these fans are also pretty intent on making their voice heard, and tonight it's saying that some of them may not like The Dudley Boyz's actions from last week.
Brooklyn Brawler: Hey, it's survival of the fittest Tenay, and last week Triple X just wasn't able to survive.
Mike Tenay: They were jumped and brutalized after Low-Ki had just had a match!
Brooklyn Brawler: Well if they have something to say, they can say it now because D-Von Dudley is taking on Elix Skipper!
"IT'S PRIMETIME, BABY!" HITS AND TRIPLE X COMES OUT TO A GREAT REACTION FROM THE LOUISIANA CROWD. SKIPPER LEADS THE WAY, BUT LOW-KI ISN'T FAR BEHIND HIM.
Mike Tenay: I'm sure Low-Ki wants some revenge and it's a shame that this won't be a tag team match, but Elix Skipper himself is a very good singles wrestler, isn't that right Brawler?
Brooklyn Brawler: Tenay we're still talking about Elix Skipper and Low-Ki's match from Apocalypse Now!, which both men displayed just how good they are. And honestly, it's awesome that these two have decided to team back up. But, I'd say it's a good thing that this isn't a tag team match, because I don't think these two have what it takes to beat The Dudleyz.
Mike Tenay: I don't know about that, Brawler, but I do know that Scott Steiner and The Outlaw are gonna have their eyes on this one.
Before the bell even rings Skipper springboards himself into the ring from the ring apron and takes him down with a Somersault Clothesline! Skipper stays on D-Von with right hands before finally getting up, only to hit a Knee Drop. Skipper doesn't even go for the cover as he's still visibl upset about the beating The Dudleyz gave he and Low-Ki last week. Skipper waits for D-Von to get up and then puts him back down with a beautiful Crescent Kick. While D-Von is getting up, Skipper runs to the ropes, but instead of bouncing off, he jumps up to the top rope and comes off with a beautiful Moonsault to the standing Dudley. Skipper goes for the cover, but gets only a two count from referee Jim Molineux. Skipper then runs off the ropes for a Clothesline, but D-Von counters it nicely by ducking under and hitting Skipper with a Neckbreaker. D-Von gets himself together and then gets to his feet, putting two boots to Skipper's head and then hitting him with a Sidewalk Slam. D-Von hooks the inside leg, but only gets a two count. D-Von waits for Skipper to get up and then knees him in the side of the head, followed by a Piledriver, and another cover, once again getting a two count. D-Von is already getting frustrated, but he waits for Skipper to get up and then hits him with two straight Clotheslines, followed by his signature Corkscrew Back Elbow Smash. D-Von then gets behind Skipper and goes for the Saving Grace, but Skipper rolls out of it, and hits a One-Armed Spinebuster that he calls the Instant Replay! Skipper goes into the cover, and gets the 1, 2, 3.. No! Bubba pulled Molineux out of the ring just before he could register the three count. While the referee is arguing with Bubba, D-Von smiles and then puts on a pair of brass knuckles much to the dismay of the fans of the Uno Lakefront Arena. Dudley is about to swing at Skipper, but Low-Ki catches his arm, kicks him in the stomach, and hits the Ki-Krusher! Skipper is already climbing to the top rope, and then begins to walk the ropes. Once Skipper gets to the middle, he bounces off and hits a beautiful Leg Drop! Skipper goes into the cover and Molineux rolls back into the ring, this time successfuly counting the 1, 2, 3!
Match Time: 5:01
Mike Tenay: Wow! D-Von Dudley was trying to use some underhanded tactics to get the win, but Low-Ki did what a good partner does, and that's having Elix Skipper's back!
Brooklyn Brawler: Trust me, the tension between these two teams has just risen to a much higher level! All I know is this... Scott Steiner and The Outlaw better watch their asses, because both of these teams are on the prowl!
THE SCENE SHOWS UP BACKSTAGE WHERE BADLANDZ WORLD CHAMPION KANE IS SEEN ENTERING THE BUILDING. THE CROWD CAN BE HEARD GOING WILD AS WE GO TO A COMMERCIAL BREAK.
COMMERCIAL BREAK. A TRAILER FOR 30 DAYS OF NIGHT, STARRING JOSH HARTNETT, IS SHOWN. A COMMERCIAL FOR THE BILL ENGVALL SHOW IS SHOWN.
WHEN WE RETURN FROM THE COMMERCIAL BREAK KANE IS SEEN IN ERIC BISCHOFF'S OFFICE.
Eric Bischoff: Listen Kane, I know you're upset about not getting to make your little announcement, but if you want to make it, you should tell me what it is first. Not that it really matters to me...
Kane: Believe me Bischoff, it matters to you. Seeing as I am the first ever Badlandz World Champion, I realize that I have some leeway around here. And being as I am the Big Red Machine, I don't think there's anyone who can stop me from getting what I want!
Eric Bischoff: Calm down, Kane, calm down... How about this? After the Main Event tonight, you'll get to make your announcement. Just please, don't disrupt the match.
Kane: Don't worry Bischoff, because the only way hell will be risen tonight... Is if someone interupts me again. And I'd suggest you make sure that doesn't happen, or it's your ass who I'm blaming.
KANE WALKS OUT OF THE OFFICE AND ERIC BISCHOFF'S FACIAL EXPRESSION CAN TELL IT ALL.
WE SHIFT TO THE LOCKERROOM WHERE CHRIS JERICHO AND BULL BUCHANON ARE IN A BRAWL. JERICHO GETS THE UPPER HAND, BUT MR. HUGHES THEN COMES AND TACKLES HIM TO THE FLOOR. HUGHES TOSSES HIM HEAD FIRST INTO ONE OF THE LOCKERS BEFORE HITTING HIM WITH A BOSS MAN SLAM ONTO THE BENCH!
Bull Buchanon: That's what happens when you mess with me you stupid son of a bitch! You don't deserve that title shot, I do! I beat you! And I won't stop until I take it from you!
BUCHANON AND HUGHES BOTH PUT A FEW MORE BOOTS TO JERICHO BEFORE EXITING THE LOCKERROOM.
Mike Tenay: That's just wrong, Brawler! This is the second time Bull Buchanon's used Mr. Hughes to decimate someone!
Brooklyn Brawler: Actually you can count that as one considering Jericho didn't get enough the first time.
Mike Tenay: Jericho's sticking up for his tag team partner, and that's what he gets? You've gotta be kidding me, Brawler.
"GO HARD OR GO HOME" BY LLOYD BANKS HITS AND MARCUS COR VON COMES OUT TO A THUNDEROUS ROAR OF BOOS FROM THE NEW ORLEANS FAITHFUL.
Mike Tenay: We've got a great match that's about to happen Brawler, but I still can't believe what we've just seen.
Brooklyn Brawler: Well, get over it. Ron Killings has no idea what he's in store for, because Marcus Cor Von is a man on a mission!
Mike Tenay: And Ron Killings is as well, Brawler. Both of these men will have other opponents on their minds in Mark Jindrak and AJ Styles, but both men need to make sure that they can block it out for this match's length or else they'll be on the losing end.
"WHAT'S UP?!" HITS BY RON KILLINGS AND THE SUNTAN SUPERMAN HIMSELF COMES OUT TO AN INCREDIBLE ROAR OF APPROVAL. TRUTH RAPS HIS SONG AND SLAPS HANDS WITH THE FANS, BUT AS SOON AS HE GETS TO THE BOTTOM OF THE RAMP, COR VON GREETS HIM WITH A RIGHT HAND ACROSS THE FACE.
Cor Von continues his assault on the outside of the ring, so the referee can't start the match yet. Cor Von waits for Truth to get up, and then kicks him in the stomach before dropping him gut first on the barricade. Cor Von puts three boots to Truth's back and then rolls him into the ring, thus starting the match. Truth is already gripping his ribs in pain, and Cor Von feels no sorrow, hitting him with a Belly to Back Suplex. Cor Von hooks the outside leg, but only gets a count of two. When Truth gets up, Cor Von goes after the ribs once again, this time with an Exploder Suplex. Once again, Cor Von goes for the cover, but only gets a count of two. Cor Von shakes his head but picks Truth up and irish whips him, only to receive a Corkscrew Forearm Smash from Killings. Truth hits Cor Von with a Back Elbow and then takes Cor Von down with a Hurricanrana, getting a count of two himself. Cor Von gets up and runs at Killings, but he gets a Sitout Arm Drag. Cor Von gets up and once again runs at Killings, and this time gets a Jumping Heel Kick in return. Truth is fired up and yells "Whats Up?!" to the crowd and gets a "Whats Up?!" in return from the Louisiana faithful. Truth waits for Cor Von to get up, and when he does he Killings plants him with a Jumping Reverse STO. Truth hooks the inside leg, but gets a long two count. Truth waits for Cor Von to get up and then runs off the ropes, only to get it reversed into a Flapjack which Cor Von turned into a giant Spinebuster. Truth crawls into the corner turnbuckle, but looks up only to receive a Running Knee Strike to the chest by The Alpha Male. Cor Von picks Truth up and then irish whips him to the opposite corner, where he Clotheslined the daylights out of him. Killings was out on his feet and Cor Von realized it, capitalizing by locking Truth in a Cobra Clutch, a surprising show of technical skills by Cor Von. Truth woke up out of his daze immediately and began kicking, eventually reversing it with a cleverly done Jawbreaker. Killings runs off the ropes and then hits a Double-Pump Clothesline, taking Cor Von down to the mat. Truth climbs to the top rope and comes off with a nicely done Missile Dropkick. Cor Von rolls to the outside of the ring, but Killings follows with a Corkscrew Plancha! It's now Killings' turn to be on the offensive on the outside of the ring, and he slams Cor Von face first into the barricade, before rolling him back into the ring and hitting a Slingshot Leg Drop. Truth calls for the end of the match and climbs up to the top rope, but Mark Jindrak appears from nowhere and grabs Truth's foot. Killings kicks Jindrak off, and then jumps off the top rope at Cor Von, but the Alpha Male catches him with a Pounce in mid-air! Cor Von goes into the cover and gets the one, two, three...
Match Time: 8:47
Mike Tenay: What a move!
Brooklyn Brawler: Wow! That was absolutely incredible! Cor Von usually would've used his strength to catch Killings in mid-air, but instead realized that his timing was off and just like only an Alpha Male can do, he kept his composure and was quick enough on his feet to pull that beautiful move off!
Mike Tenay: I've gotta give Marcus Cor Von a lot of credit, Brawler, but I've also got to say Mark Jindrak just cost Ron Killings his damn match!
Brooklyn Brawler: That's what he gets for laughing at Jindrak!
COR VON THROWS UP HIS ARMS IN VICTORY, BUT PUTS THEM DOWN WHEN MARK JINDRAK GETS INTO THE RING. JINDRAK SIGNALS FOR BOTH MEN TO GO AFTER KILLINGS, BUT BEFORE THEY CAN "I AM" BY DALE OLIVER HITS AND A.J. STYLES RUNS DOWN TO THE RING AND JINDRAK AND COR VON SCATTER.
Mike Tenay: And thank god for A.J. Styles, Brawler! If it wasn't for him, Cor Von might've injured Ron Killings like he did Val Venis, plus he had Mark Jindrak at his side this time!
Brooklyn Brawler: All I've gotta say is that A.J. had beef with Cor Von before, but he's got war now!
THE SCENE GOES TO A COMMERCIAL BREAK AS STYLES AND THE ALPHA MALE EXCHANGE WORDS.
COMMERCIAL BREAK. A RECAP OF ERUPTION IS SHOWN WITH EDGE WINNING THE UNIVERSAL TITLE IN THE GATES OF HELL MATCH, AND KEVIN THORN RETAINING HIS INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE AGAINST CM PUNK.
WHEN WE RETURN FROM THE COMMERCIAL BREAK WE'RE AT RINGSIDE WHERE THE RING CREW IS SETTING UP FOR THE NEXT MATCH. AMW'S MUSIC THEN HITS AND "COWBOY" JAMES STORM AND "WILDCAT" CHRIS HARRIS COME OUT TO A THUNDEROUS OVATION FROM THE SOUTHERN CROWD.
Mike Tenay: It must feel great to come back to the south for these guys, huh Brawler?
Brooklyn Brawler: Sorry, what? Rednecks? Yeah, whatever Tenay... Doesn't matter, Steiner and Outlaw are the best tag team on Badlandz, as evidenced by their Tag Team Titles, and they aren't gonna lose this one.
Mike Tenay: Brawler, AMW has wrestled in 20 matches here in the TWF, and won most of them. They may not win tonight, but you better not jump to conclusions that quickly.
AMW GETS INTO THE RING AFTER SLAPPING HANDS WITH A FEW FANS WHEN GUN SHOTS GO OFF FOLLOWED BY A SIREN. "HOLLER, IF YOU HEAR ME!" IS HEARD AND THEN "SHOOT ME AGAIN" BY METALLICA HITS AND SCOTT STEINER AND THE OUTLAW COME OUT TO A MIXED REACTION FROM THE CROWD WITH THEIR TAG TEAM TITLES.
Brooklyn Brawler: Just look at them, Tenay, they exude greatness, they exude confidence, they exude...
Mike Tenay: That's a big word for you, isn't it Brawler?
Brooklyn Brawler: Funny, but nothing's as big as Scott Steiner's muscles. Damn, Tenay! Those are pretty damn freakish!
Outlaw and Harris start the match as both partners cheer them on. They lock up hand to collar and push eachother around the ring before Outlaw gets in a quick Forearm to the jaw. Outlaw gets Harris in an Arm Twist, but Harris is able to reverse it with a punch to the gut followed by an Arm Drag, catching Outlaw off guard. Harris waits for Outlaw to get up, and then pummels him with two left hands followed by an Irish Whip into a Lou Thesz Press. After putting three punches to Outlaw's face, Harris gets up and then hits Outlaw with a Leg Drop. Harris lifts Outlaw up and throws him into the corner, then tags in Storm. Storm comes in and both men hit Outlaw with a double kick to the stomach leading to a Double Suplex. The Tennessee Cowboy stalks Outlaw, and when he gets up Storm gets behind him and puts him right back down with a Double Knee Backbreaker. Storm goes into the cover, and gets a long two count from Brian Hebner. AMW almost pinned the Badlandz Tag Team Champions, but Outlaw barely escaped. Storm goes to pick Outlaw up, but gets a thumb to the eye, giving Outlaw enough time to tag in Steiner, who came in with a head full of steam. Storm is finally able to see again, but the first thing he sees is Steiner locking his arms around him and tossing him overhead with a Belly to Belly Suplex. Storm gets no time to catch his breath, and Steiner once again tosses him overhead, this time with a T-Bone Suplex. Steiner stands over Storm and then does his signature muscle pose and kiss, followed by an Elbow Drop. Steiner goes into the cover, but then drops out of it to do push-ups right in Storm's face. Harris runs into the ring out of anger but is stopped by the referee, leading to Outlaw coming in and getting in a few shots on Storm. Outlaw runs to the outside when Hebner turns around, but Steiner is smothering Storm with right hands. Steiner lets Storm get up, but then puts him back down yet again with a Spinning Side Belly to Belly Suplex. Steiner goes into the cover, but Storm somehow kicks out, clearly by instinct. Steiner can't believe it and gets up into Hebner's face, who somehow is not intimidated at all. Outlaw sneaks into the ring once again, but Harris comes in and catches him with two left hands to the face, and then Clotheslines him out of the ring! Both men fall to the outside, and Steiner is once again in shock. Steiner turns around to go after Storm, but gets caught with a Super Kick! Storm doesn't have the energy to go into the cover and has to wait for Harris to get to the ring apron to tag him in, but Outlaw and Harris are fighting on the outside. Harris and Outlaw then both realize their partners are in need of a tag, and run up to the ring apron to take the tag. They both get the tag, but the outcome is the same as when they were on the outside of the ring, trading rights and lefts. Outlaw gets the upper hand and hits a very nice Gutbuster, leading to a Snap Suplex. Outlaw goes into the cover, but gets only a 1 count as Harris kicks out and gets right back up to his feet. Outlaw goes in with a right hand, but Harris ducks it, runs off the ropes, and crushes Outlaw with a Spear! Outlaw is rolling around the ring in pain, but Harris just waits in the corner for him to get up. When Outlaw finally gets to his feet, Harris gets him up into position for the Catatonic, but Steiner is able to come in and take him out with a Clothesline. Steiner backs into the turnbuckle to wait for Harris to get up again, but he backs up into James Storm, who is sitting on the top rope. Storm catches Steiner and then puts him down with The Swinging Noose Reverse DDT! Storm goes into the cover, but he and Steiner aren't the legal men. While Harris is helping Storm get Steiner out of the ring, Outlaw goes to the outside and grabs one of the Tag Team Titles, then comes back into the ring. When Harris turns around, Outlaw swings the title at Harris' face, but Wildcat is able to duck out of the way. Outlaw drops the title before Hebner can catch him, but Harris spins Outlaw around and hits a Spinning Spinebuster onto the title! The crowd is going absolutely berzerk as Harris goes into the cover and gets the 1,2,3!
Match Time: 7:59
Mike Tenay: Can you believe it, Brawler?! America's Most Wanted has just beaten the Badlandz Tag Team Champions!
Brooklyn Brawler: He used the title to beat Outlaw, Tenay! That's cheating, plain and simple!
Mike Tenay: Even though The Outlaw brought the title into the ring? You've hit the nail on the head, Brawler!
AMW RAISES EACHOTHERS ARMS AS STEINER CHECKS ON OUTLAW, YELLING TO STORM AND HARRIS AT THE SAME TIME! THE CROWD IS EATING IT UP, AS THE TAG TEAM TITLE PICTURE JUST GOT A LOT MORE CROWDED. THE SCENE SHIFTS BACKSTAGE WHERE ERIC BISCHOFF IS SITTING AT HIS DESK IN HIS OFFICE.
Eric Bischoff: Now, as you all know, Badlandz was unable to aquire the contract of "The Show" Joe Corey. But, you all also know that Badlandz has aquired the contracts of The Sandman, last week, and this week, Mr. Hughes. So, I guess it's safe to say we're doing just fine without the ECW World Title. But, there's a lot I do indeed have to address. Including tonight's Main Event, the Tag Team Title picture which just got a lot more crowded, and a little more. First off, the tag team picture just got cloudy with not only Triple X and The Dudley Boyz involved in the Tag Title Match on the next show, but the champs suffering a loss to AMW just now. That's why things are changing. Next time, we're going to have a three-way Tag Team Match, with Triple X and The Dudley Boyz, just like we were going to have in a few weeks for the Titles... But this time, America's Most wanted will be the third team. And the winner doesn't matter, but the team who's pinned will be removed from the title picture. In other words, the two teams who aren't pinned will face Scott Steiner and The Outlaw for the Tag Team Titles.
THE CROWD CAN BE HEARD CHEERING IN APPROVAL FOR THIS ANNOUNCEMENT.
Eric Bischoff: Next order of business is what happened with Mr. Hughes, Bull Buchanon, Chris Jericho, and Homicide earlier tonight. Homicide and Chris Jericho have both come to me and requested this match despite Homicide's injury to his back and ribs due to Mr. Hughes' attack... So, I've granted it. In a few weeks, it's gonna be Chris Jericho and Homicide versus Bull Buchanon and Mr. Hughes... In a Steel Cage!
ONCE AGAIN THE CROWD APPROVES THIS.
Eric Bischoff: And finally, Val Venis. Last week, Marcus Cor Von attacked him and seemingly seriously injured him. But Marcus Cor Von, Val Venis may or may not believe in karma, but him injuring The Big Show has not come back to bite him in the ass in any way whatsoever! Val Venis went through MRI's and they all came back negative, and Val Venis has indeed been cleared to go tonight. And since I know you'll try, you, Test, and A-Train are all banned from ringside! As a matter of fact, Test and A-Train were held outside of the arena for tonight's show due to the fact I knew they'd get involved. So Val Venis is ready to go, and that's that... Ladies and gentlemen, enjoy the best show on Television... Badlandz!
WE GO TO OUR FINAL COMMERCIAL BREAK AS BISCHOFF SMILES.
COMMERCIAL BREAK. A COMMERCIAL FOR BOUNTY IS SHOWN.
WE COME BACK FROM THE COMMERCIAL BREAK AND WE'RE AT RINGSIDE. "I AM" BY DALE OLIVER HITS AND A.J. STYLES COMES OUT TO A THUNDEROUS OVATION.
Mike Tenay: Ladies and gentlemen, it's time for our main event! And this man, A.J. Styles, is definately someone to watch out for!
Brooklyn Brawler: For once, I've gotta agree with you. A.J. Styles is one heck of a competitor, Tenay, and I wouldn't be surprised if he stole a win from these guys who are bigger than him. He's stolen wins from a lot of guys bigger than him, and I figure it's about time to give him a chance.
Mike Tenay: Finally is right, Brawler. A.J. Styles beat Test on our last show, and now rightfully so he's fighting for a Badlandz World Title shot.
THE FBI'S MUSIC HITS AND THE CROWD GIVES JUST AS LOUD OF A REACTION, BUT IN THE OPPOSITE WAY, BOOS. CHUCK PALUMBO COMES OUT WITH MARK JINDRAK, NUNZIO, AND JOHNNY STAMBOLI AND BIG VITO TRAILING.
Mike Tenay: Wow, why doesn't he just bring the whole Italian Mafia with him!
Brooklyn Brawler: Oh, please, Tenay! You knew this was going to be a 3 on 1 match anyway!
Mike Tenay: I didn't think Stamboli and Vito would be here, but I guess I was wrong.
AT THAT WORD, "ENTER SANDMAN" HITS AND THE CROWD GOES ABSOLUTELY BERZERK! THE CAMERA SHIFTS UP INTO THE CROWD AND FINALLY SPOTS THE SANDMAN, WITH A CIGARETTE ON HIS LIP, A BEER IN ONE HAND, AND HIS SINGAPORE CANE IN THE OTHER. SANDMAN WALKS DOWN THROUGH THE CROWD, WHO ARE ALL EATING HIM UP, PATTING HIM ON THE BACK AND CHEERING FOR HIM. WHEN SANDMAN GETS TO THE BARRICADE, HE STEPS UP ONTO IT AND GUZZLES DOWN THE BEER, THEN SMASHING THE CAN ON HIS HEAD REPEATEDLY, BUSTING HIMSELF OPEN. SANDMAN GETS INTO THE RING AND THE FBI JUST STARES AT HIM IN FEAR AND ANGER.
Mike Tenay: Talk about making an entrance!
Brooklyn Brawler: Yeah, but hopefully for his sake he didn't knock himself out!
"HELLO, LADIES!" HITS AND VAL VENIS COMES OUT TO THE BIGGEST CHEER ALL NIGHT. VENIS WALKS DOWN THE RAMP AND LOOKS FINE AFTER LAST WEEKS ASSAULT BY COR VON. VENIS WALKS RIGHT THROUGH THE FBI, WHO ALL BEGIN TAKING SHOTS AT HIM. THEY'RE ALL BEATING HIM DOWN WHEN THE SANDMAN COMES FLYING OVER THE TOP ROPE WITH HIS SINGAPORE CANE AND CRACKS STAMBOLI IN THE SKULL! NUNZIO, VITO, AND JINDRAK ALL STEP BACK FROM HIM AS SANDMAN AND A.J. HELPS VENIS GET BACK INTO THE RING.
The four men are all in the ring now and Venis able to catch his breath, but only long enough for the bell to ring, because Chuck Palumbo is immediately all over him with right hands and knees to the stomach. Palumbo goes for another punch, but gets caught in the face with the Singapore Cane from Sandman. Palumbo gets busted open, but suddenly the bell rings. Referee Nick Patrick has thrown Sandman out of this match for use of a weapon, and says that it's now a triple threat match. The Sandman can't believe it but nods his head, but then suddenly snaps and hits Patrick with the Singapore Cane! Sandman repeatedly beats Patrick, much to the approval of the fans. Styles stands back and laughs, as does Venis, but the FBI then comes into the ring. All 5 members go after Sandman, and get sent down by the Singapore Cane! Jindrak is able to escape and walk up the ramp, but is spun around and pummeled by right hands via Ron Killings! Jindrak gets in a low blow, and then runs backstage, but Truth follows him back anyway. Sandman clears the ring of the FBI with his Singapore Cane, and then cracks open a beer and chugs it down. Sandman spits it all into the front row and then raises his Singapore Cane, before leaving to an incredible ovation.
Mike Tenay: Wow! Sandman may have lost this match, but he's definately won something else... Respect!
We get a new referee as Senior Referee Brian Hebner comes down and finally restores order and Chuck Palumbo, Val Venis, and A.J. Styles all stare across the ring from eachother. Palumbo is quick on the offensive and cracks Styles with a punch to the jaw. Palumbo then goes for the same on Venis, but Venis ducks and catches Palumbo with the Blue Thunder Driver! Venis stays in the same position for the pin, and Hebner counts the 1, 2, nearly a 3 but A.J. breaks it up with a Dropkick that was placed perfectly on the chin of Venis. Styles quickly gets up and hops onto the ring apron, then springboarding himself back into the ring for a Springboard Rolling Senton onto Palumbo! Venis goes to reach down for A.J., but A.J. is on a roll and hits an incredible Kip-Up Frankensteiner! A.J. gets to his feet and both Palumbo and Venis are on the mat as the crowd applauds Styles, who takes a bow. When Palumbo gets up he's in the corner, and A.J. comes flying across the ring with a Stalling Corner Clothesline! Styles isn't so lucky when he turns around though, because Venis nearly tears his head off with a Clothesline. Venis picks A.J. up, only to plant him with a Half-Nelson Slam. Val climbs up to the top rope and calls for the end as the crowd knows it's Money Shot time. Venis is about to come off the top rope when Chuck Palumbo runs into the ropes and drops Venis groin first on the top rope. Palumbo applauds himself but turns around and A.J. is running at him. Palumbo ducks and hits a Back Body Drop, but A.J. somehow uses his momentum to catch Venis on the top rope and hit him with a Frankensteiner right onto Palumbo! All three men are down and the "Holy Shit!" chants start from the crowd. All three men get to their feet at about the same time, but Venis is the first on the offensive, catching A.J. with a nice Running Knee Strike. Palumbo then goes for a clothesline on Venis, but Venis ducks and hits a nicely executed Neckbreaker. Venis is on a roll and takes out both men with Back Elbows and Clotheslines before hitting A.J. with a beautifully done Fisherman's Suplex. Venis hooks the leg and Hebner goes down into the count, and Venis gets the one, two, thr.. No! Palumbo is able to break it up at the last second and the crowd can't believe it! Palumbo lifts Venis up and gets two knees in to the gut before throwing Venis out of the ring. Palumbo lifts Styles up and the end looks to be near. Palumbo takes a step back and then goes full throttle at Styles with a Super Kick, but A.J. ducks it and then comes back with the Pelé! Palumbo looks to be out on his feet, and A.J. realizes this, getting up and placing his head between his legs. A.J. taunts to the crowd and, for the second week in a row, lifts up a man who weighs much more than him and crushes him with the Styles Clash! A.J. rolls over and the crowd is going wild. Hebner counts 1... 2... 3...

SUDDENLY BOOKER T LEVELS KANE FROM BEHIND WITH A STEEL CHAIR! BOOKER PUTS THE CHAIR TO KANE'S BACK REPEATEDLY, BUT A.J. BOOKER ROLLS OUT OF THE RING AND QUICKLY RUNS UP THE RAMP FURIOUSLY. SUDDENLY "I'M BACK!" HITS AND ERIC BISCHOFF STORMS DOWN TO THE RING WITH A MICROPHONE.
Eric Bischoff: Kane! Kane, please, I did not expect that to happen! I told him not to come out, but he didn't listen! So, I...
SUDDENLY KANE SITS UP AND GRABS BISCHOFF BY THE THROAT. THE CROWD IS GOING INSANE AND KANE STANDS UP AND SCREAMS TO BISCHOFF. BISCHOFF BEGS KANE, BUT TO NO AVAIL, AND KANE CHOKESLAMS BISCHOFF STRAIGHT TO THE MAT! THE CROWD GOES CRAZY AS KANE RAISES HIS ARM AND THEN SLAMS THEM DOWN, LEADING TO FIREWORKS.
