Live notes from July 12th House Show from the Blackpool Pleasure Beach Pier, Blackpool
PWA 4 Life
Just back from the Blackpool house show and thought I would post some comments. It was another great show from Matt Hunt and the PWA Creative Team. Hunt is really living upto his promise of pushing the remaining talent on his roster to the moon and back. Every single wrestler was on hand which was nice to see. The matches were good quality, I think the match that stood out for me was the 'Exceptional' Dave Hurst vs DJ Duzz encounter. They went at if for about 10 to 12 minutes and really worked the crowd into a frenzy. That DJ Duzz is absolutely huge and he looks to be set for a push by the Creative Team. On another note it was good to see the PWA's new range of merchandise out in the stalls, I think I came away with a replica World title belt, a 3en 3rians Innovator t-shirt amongst other things. I hope the PWA can move on from its recent set backs and look to the future.

Great show, great matches, great wrestlers, the PWA seems to have it all. Well certainly this show did anyway. Matt Hunt's idea of doing a six month European Tour is going down a treat - god bless you Mr Hunt. I was very impressed with the matches but would have loved to have seen a winner in the main event, LoZ against Ben Hart. It appeared that the match was eventually thrown out but no one really knew much about it. After the match LoZ posed in the ring for a couple of minutes with his PWA title much to the delight of the crowd. Its good to see LoZ back as a 'good guy' I think thats he's in his natural environment when he's good - but thats only my opinion. I think I am now going to book the International Incident PPV so I can see what will unfold.

It was another great show under the Matt Hunt era but there was one thing I couldn't understand, like most people in the arena I might add. If on Showdown theb Nu Blud faction acutally dissolved then why where 3en 3rians and James Lord teaming up to face Dandude and Scott Sanders? Regardless it was a good match and I liked the end when Dandude pinned Lord after 3rians inadvertantly hit Lord. I like Dandude's new persona and he really played to the crowd well. I hope he can now put all those injuries which have plagued his career firmly behind him and move up the ladder in the PWA. And what's the deal with Bruce Brubaker? Some people say he's Mexican and others believe he is American - can someone please clear this up. Its fun to watch but could be confusing to others.

Another show, another success thats the way I see it. The speech Matt Hunt gave on Showdown must have really motivated his troops because everyone who performed was on top of their game. It was nice to see every wrestlers arrive at the arena early and get down to work. I managed to get the autograph of Ben Hart even though he seemed a little reluctant to do so. Maybe he was in character or something. My friend managed to get a photo with LoZ and his beautiful wife Amy and even got to touch the PWA title (don' think I am ever going to hear the end of this one). I am big fan of Dave Hurst or the two Dave Hurst's - his gimmick is brilliant to watch and I expect the PWA to really push this guy once he has settled in.

I thought I would just add my thoughts to the nights entertainment as I thought it was another great show. It nice to see the wrestlers really trying to make the show as entertaining as possible to watch. There was another one of those weird voice promos playing to that Marilyn Manson song...Beautiful People, I think. I think everyone is getting caught up in the who can it be riddle and hope it unfolfds soon Like I've said it was a great card, I was impressed with individuals like DJ Duzz - I just have to say that guy is enormous and built like a bull. Also Jason Hall looked good in his match with Bruce Brubaker and the LoZ/Ben Hart match was good - but I would have liked to have seen a winner but maybe the PWA is holding off on doing that in case it takes the shine away from the Main Event at International Incident.

I just have to say thank you Matt Hunt. At first I was a little sceptical of his appointment as the new PWA owner but now all my doubts have been laid to rest. What a great idea it was to have the PWA embark on a European Tour - Thank you Matt Hunt

What a show. The crowd were jacked tonight, I don't know whether its because of this European tour thingy or not. Perhaps the biggest cheer of the night had to go to 'The Chosen One' LoZ, given that he was in his hometown. I have long been a fan of LoZ and I am glad to see the PWA creative team pushing him as a fan favourite once again - I am pleased that he is our PWA World Champion. It’s shame that this (\)u-Blood faction didn’t stay together as I think 3en 3rians and James Lord could turn into major players in the PWA, maybe they still can. The small Xtreme Title segments were mad and also revitalised the 24/7 rule – seems that this big giant DJ Duzz is getting a minor push! All in all it was a great show and I can't wait for tickets to come available for the next show.

Despite not having the biggest roster in the world the PWA still knows how to put on one hell of a show. That Dave Hurst guy is really weird but that two persona gimmick is fun to watch, I am looking forward to seeing how that develops. That distrubed voice promo that came on the videoscreen was very strange as I don't think anyone knew it was coming judging by the look on most people's faces. I would love to know what that’s all about and maybe we'll find out soon enough. It was fun watching the Matt Hunt, Ben Hart and LoZ saga in the ring and should be very interesting to see how that unfolds. This fued is gonna be exciting, considering the announcement of the main event for the International Incident PPV in three weeks!

I am glad that despite only a short term in office Matt Hunt really knows how to rally this troops. It's nice to see him giving plenty of TV time to guys like Jason Hall and Matthieu Palffy. The only downside to this is the fans might turn their backs if we keep seeing the same people week after week. I hope they can sign some more new talent. On another note the PWA creative team looks to be planning some new feuds - the main one being the Hart/Hunt/LoZ feud which could turn out to be one of the biggest since the Hunt/LoZ feud earlier in the year. Overall it was a good show and I am counting the days until the PWA moves onto Liverpool.
Mr PWA
I can’t believe that Angel is gone. Hunt said that he simply never turned up and to be honest, I don’t believe that for a second. For a seasoned professional like Angel Morales do a no-show for a televised event is like having the East Coast fall into the ocean – UNTHINKABLE!! Hunt is hiding something and I hope he reveals soon. On a lighter note, the PWA could survive without AHM. Passing the title to Loz is probably a good idea, but I feel that a small section of fans don’t know how to take Loz. One minute he’s everybody hero, then he’s telling them to go to hell and turning on Matt Hunt, now he’s ‘back to his old self’. I don’t know, but hearing those ‘Loz, Loz’ chants when he entered the ring when Hart wanted a re-match, sent a tingle down my spine!!
