Jeff Reese Memorial Wrestling Tournament

The inaugural Jeff Reese Memorial Wrestling Tournament held at Southside High
school in Elmira, NY, on January 13th, 2001, was unbelievely successful.
The field was astonishing and the gymnasium was filled beyond it's maximum capacity. Over 1,100 spectators were present to watch this event. The finals were spectacular and I anticipate an even better tournament in 2002. I will be excepting 40 teams into this year's upcoming tournament. As of now, I have a total of 32 teams. I am selectively choosing the teams that I want to attend and I hope you consider accepting my invitation to you. The last eight teams selected will be entered on a first come first serve basis. We will be hosting this tournament at the new Coach USA Arena. The Coach USA Arena has enough seating for 4,500 people. The arena also has a built in restaurant and is within walking distance from the Holiday Inn (our primary sponsor).

Next years tournament will take place on Jan. 11 & 12, 2002.
Weigh-Ins will begin Friday afternoon at 1:00 and conclude at 2:30.
There will be a brief coaches meeting following weigh-ins. Wrestling will
begin at 3:30 immediately following the coaches meeting.

Many teams will be staying at the Holiday Inn which is one of our major sponsors. The cost for each room is 55-65 dollars a night. Each room comes with two double beds. If your team needs housing assistance, the parents would be interested in housing some wrestlers. Email me back to let me know if your interested or not.
