2001 Central Bucks Holiday Classic Wrestling Tournament
Where: Delaware Valley College, Doylestown, PA
When: Saturday, December 29, 2001 Wrestling starts 9:00 AM sharp!
Weigh-in: Friday, December 28, 6:00PM-9:00PM at Del Val College
Saturday, December 29, 7:00AM-8:00AM for wrestlers traveling
over 30 miles. Weight change allowed through Friday weigh-in ($5 fee).
Divisions: By age group and weight class (wrestlers may wrestle in 1 division only)
Bantam (1993 & after) 40 45 50 55 60 65 70 unlimited
Midget (1991 & 1992) 50 55 60 65 70 75 80 85 90 95 unlimited
Junior (1989 & 1990) 60 65 70 75 80 85 90 95 100 110 120 unlimited
Intermediate (1987 & 1988) 80 85 90 95 100 105 110 120 130 140 unlimited
Rules: Modified PIAA, headgear required. No allowances. Walk-ins allowed through Friday weigh-in only ($18 entry fee). Wrestlers may register in only one division and weight. Shoe lace rule enforced. Proof of age required if requested. We reserve the right to combine weight classes.
Bouts: Bantam/Midget 1-1-1 Junior/Intermediate 1-1˝-1˝ Sudden Death, OT 30-30
Double elimination after reaching quarterfinals. 5 mats will be used through finals.
Awards: Team – 1st , 2nd, 3rd place trophies.
Individual – 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th place trophies.
Fees: Early registration (postmarked by 12/22/01) $15 per wrestler. Registration fee if postmarked after 12/22/01 is $18. Admission is $3 adult, $1 student.
Food: Concession stand will be open throughout the tournament. No food allowed in gym.
Seeding: Blind draw. Maximum number of entries: 400.
