Not a whole lot is known on the past of Simon Starr. What can be pieced
together is what we've all seen and heard from Simon in the federations
he
has worked at. We know from a past match Michael Mann where he went to
school, and we also know this career setting athlete hails from
Vermont.
Simon Starr began his professional career in May of 1998 when he became
the
top rookie in the New World Order E-Fed. After 3 weeks in the big
leagues,
Starr won his first Title; The nWo European Title, and in effect, won
the
King of the Net Tournament. After that, it was kind of a bumpy road for
Starr, having many unsuccessful matches with the nWo Champion Kane.
Eventually the nWo closed, and Simon walked away from the fed still the
European Champion.
The UALW federation took in all nWo competitors that were in the nWo,
but in
fact, Starr had inked a deal with the UALW 2 weeks before the
announcement
of the nWo closing had been made public. All Titles in the UALW were on
the
line at the first PPV, and Starr walked away with his 2nd European
Title.
After losing that Title, he spent a few months battling DX and
eventually
rose to win a Tournament to be #1 Contedner to the UALW Title. On X-Mas
Eve
of '98, Starr won his first World Title, defeating his mentor Downtown
Assassin in a bloody Urban Warfare. Starr became a household name for
the
next 2 years. During his time with the UALW, Simon also went to many
other
feds to compete, such as the HCWL, Dungeon, and back to the resurrected
nWo,
winning the World Titles from all of those feds.
In a storyline, Simon married Cassandra Adams, sister to Starr's tag
partner
Victor Adams. Fans did not know this was an angle, because 2 months
after
the angle went down, the 2 officially married, not making Victor happy,
which caused a massive real-life feud between Simon and Victor.
Behind the scenes in the UALW, Simon was unhappy. He was asked to
participate in a flase angle where he and his wife became parents and a
type
of "WCW 1992 Robocop incident" came out where their "son" got trapped
in a
burning building and Smion went in after him. Starr would disappear for
a
few weeks and eventually come back.
One year after winning his first World Title, Simon went back into
X-Mas Eve
to win the UALW Title for a 4th time. How ever, unknown to Simon, the
owner
of the UALW was going to pull a Vince McMahon later in the evening and
crown
himself World Champion at the same event. Completely unhappy with the
UALW,
Simon Starr did what Bret Hart did with the WWF and just walked out.
The
animousity between the UALW and Starr continues to this day, and is not
going well, as the UALW refuses to recognize anything Starr has done
such as
his Brawl-4-All victory and all his Title wins.
Simon drifted to the iWa, a fed owned by a UALW superstar; Hunter
White.
Simon spent a few months there before winning the iWa Title, and became
the
longest running Champion of the fed's history. The record still holds,
however the iWa is now closed. After about 8 months with the company
and 2
months with the World Title, Simon decided it was time to hang up the
boots,
and was booked to lose the Title and his career to Mysterio. After that
all
went down, Simon was inducted to the iWa Hall of Fame.
For the next year, Simon Starr sat and watched his friends, allies, and
former roster members compete in many federations at home while they
all
went on to more successful things. About 1 year into his retirement,
Starr
came out for a one night only Tournament, in which Trevor Adams hosted
a 16
man Tournament for all the greats he had come across in 3 years. After
out-lasting the enormous talent, Simon walked away winner of the
Tournament,
and went back into retirement. A few times, both the iWa and UALW tried
to
get Simon out of retirement, but both attempts failed, as Starr just
didn't
have the heart to compete anymore.
A few months went by, and an associate of Starr's longtime friend Blade
gave
Simon the offer to come to a new fed; the NPW. Simon signed the deal,
and
came out of retirement at the age of 27. Simon won the World Title in a
grueling Season. At the same time, Simon had inked a deal with a fed
called
the UWF. Starr won the World Title there, but dropped it one week
later. Not
liking the wy the UWF was booked (11 Title changes in one week) Simon
walked
out, and is now exclusive to the NPW.
At this point in time, Simon is a most decorated Champion, holding 8
World
Tag Team Title regins and a whopping 13 World Heavyweight Titles. Those
World Titles come from the nWo, UALW, Dungeon, HCWL, UWF, and iWa.
Now finally happy with his career for the first time ever since his
rookie
year, Simon hopes to remain in the NPW and continue to show what he can
do;
wrestle rings around the competition.
