Jason looked out to the dance floor and sighed, specially when he saw Matt, Adam and Jeff hit the dance floor. Those guys were so comfortable in any situation, blending it, making the best of things. But he was still shy, specially when they were out like this. Here, he wasn't Christian, part of the funniest tag team in WWF history, he was plain old Jason Reso, a kid from Toronto. And Jason Reso from Toronto couldn't dance.
He sat at a table by the dance floor and ordered himself a soft drink while he sat back to watch the sea of humanity writhe on the crowded dance floor.
Jason didn't know he had company until the hot cup of coffee poured into the shape of a woman sat in front of him, her long hair covering one of her shoulders, leaving the other one bare. He saw her lips move and he leaned forward.
She didn't move and her lips moved again. He shouted at her that he couldn't hear and she got up so he could get a load of her long black nylon skirt and the tiny tube top that kept her breasts from spilling out.
She crooked her finger at him and turned around. Moved by an uncontrollable force, he got up and followed her to the edge of the dance floor where she started to weave the beat with perfection.
She turned around and saw him standing away from her. She went back to him, putting her hands on his hips and pulled him onto the dance floor. Over the throbbing music, he shouted his inability to dance but she smiled away his protests as she set his hands on her hips. Her skin felt softer than silk and then she started moving. Patiently, she made him feel the beat and then slowly got him to move to it.
Their eyes met and held as she started dancing all around him. For the first time in his life, he didn't feel completely inept on the dance floor. Then, everything about the way she moved changed. He had never known a woman who could make every one of his sense come alive simply by moving around him on a crowded dance floor. There wasn't a part of his body that wasn't attuned to her and he wanted more.
Then a song came on... he'd heard it on the radio... it was so appropriate to this situation. And he saw his companion lipsynching to the whole song, her eyes closed as she moved against him. As the song ended, she straightened and stepped close to him, her breasts pressing against his chest.
"Did you feel me?" she asked before sauntering away.
It took the shocked Jason about five seconds to realise he was alone and that'd she'd walked away. And when he did, he turned on his heel and caught up to her just as she was about to step off the dance floor.
"I felt you," he answered, "now, do you feel me?"
His fingers had curled around her slim wrist and he was pressing her open palm into the crotch of his jeans.
"I never saw it coming," she replied with a cagey smile. "Your place? Or mine?"
"Mine. I have an early flight in the morning."
Watching him as he advised his friends about the change in plans, Kat knew that as of now, she would be the woman in his life, the one he would call wife... the only one he would feel from now on...
