SUMMARY: Molly reconsiders...
Molly watched Tori as she paced their hotel room, ranting and raving about Chyna. There was no other way of describing her girlfriend's outburst than as ranting and raving. As she watched her, she wondered what she'd been attracted to in the very first place. Tori wasn't an ugly woman by any means but there was something about her, something she'd been noticing more and more ever since she'd cut her hair. Tori's face looked like it had been created by a mad plastic surgeon. Everything looked too planned
Chyna had spent some time under the scalpel too but
Molly sighed. Tori was right. She had been thinking about Chyna a lot lately. Maybe even too much since she was in a committed relationship. More like a relationship with a woman who needs to be committed, Molly told herself quickly. She immediately castigated herself for being so mean. Tori loved her. Right?
Chyna stood under the water's hot spray, working her long nails through her scalp as she washed her hair. She was questioning her actions of the previous night. She'd led Lillian on, hadn't she? Then again, Lillian had been fully aware of the fact that Chyna still loved Molly. And Chyna knew that Lillian's heart still belonged to Stephanie. So what had last night been all about?
Sex, she chuckled. Last night had been about relieving all the sexual tension brought on by working the match with Molly. Last night had been about her needing to literally get off after working too closely with Molly. But what was Lillian's excuse?
"My excuse was doing that interview with Stephanie," Lillian explained, walking into the shower stall.
"Huh?" Chyna asked, hands still working on the lather in her hair.
"You thought you were being silent but I heard that."
"You did?"
"Yep. And Chyna, it's cool. Last night was fun. And maybe we should keep doing it
Just to keep ourselves from violently attacking Steph and Molly out of sheer frustration."
"That good, am I?" the Ninth Wonder chuckled, beads of crystal clear water beading her skin.
"I don't recall any complaints from you either."
As she said that, Lillian worked her way around Chyna with an intimate chuckle, making sure she rubbed her body against hers.
"Unfair," Chyna whispered, winding her arms around the smaller woman's waist.
"Is it? Damn! I should stop then, right?"
"Don't you dare!"
"Love that eagerness. Let me help you with the hair and then
"
"Then what?"
"Do you really have to ask?"
Raven and Test leaned against the wall next to Chyna's room. It was the blonde's turn to knock. They'd been waiting for her for the past fifteen minutes.
"I swear to GOD," Raven yelled, "if you don't come out here right now, I'm breaking the door down."
"Don't you mean you'll get me to break the door down?" Test asked.
"Same difference. What is taking her so long?"
"Probably on her period."
"Wasn't that last week?"
"How would you know?"
Raven growled, not wanting to tell his boyfriend how Chyna had gotten him to buy him tampons for her.
"We're ready boys," Chyna announced opening her bedroom door.
"We?" Test asked, straightening up and trying to see over Chyna's shoulder. "Who's the second half of the we?"
"I believe," Lillian said, moving to Chyna's side, "that I would be the second half of that we."
"And how, lovely interviewer," Raven asked, "did you end up here last night?"
"I think it involved a bet involving the worm at the bottom of a tequila bottle."
"Still can't believe you kissed her after that," Chyna chuckled.
"She was hot!"
"And if she was any kind of a kisser, you got part of that worm too."
"That is vile!"
"Ain't it though?"
"Excuse us," Raven interrupted, "but may we inquire about what exactly happened last night after you two ditched us for the two chicks you met at the bar?"
"Well
"
"You two fucked!"
"You have such a nice and polite way of saying things," Chyna said, shaking her head.
"You did, didn't you?"
"We did."
"But what about
"
"What about Molly?" Chyna completed Test's thought for him.
"Yeah
"
"Lillian and I aren't in love or anything. We're just
What exactly are we doing?"
"Keeping each other from attacking Steph and Molly."
"That's right. I'm sleeping with Lillian for Molly's own good."
"And I'm sleeping with Chyna for Stephanie's own good."
"That's sick!" Raven said.
"But it works!"
Molly watched Tori's face as she talked with Crash and Bob. She knew her cousins didn't like her girlfriend but she loved them for making an effort. She just wished she could say the same about her girlfriend. Right now, Tori was giving the boys advice on how to revive their careers and from the look on Bob's face, he was about to tell her exactly what he thought about her career.
"Wow!" Crash muttered with a mutinous grin, looking over Tori's shoulder.
"What?"
Bob, Molly and Tori followed Crash's surprised gaze to the restaurant entrance. Chyna stood her, her arm loosely wrapped around Lillian's waist.
"I certainly didn't see that one coming," Molly whispered.
"Well, it's good to know she's off our backs for now," Tori said spitefully.
"She has never been on our backs."
"She's been sabotaging us from day one."
"That's such a crock!"
Molly's suddenly raised voices made the rest of the conversations in the restaurant go quiet. But she didn't seem to care. Her face was tinged pink with anger, not the embarrassment most imagined she felt.
"Molly," Tori snapped, "pipe down!"
"Hey, watch your tone," Bob said, grinning at his little cousin's girlfriend.
"It's OK Bob, I can handle this. Tori, all you do is bitch about Chyna. Well, let me give you a clue: she's not the problem in this relationship darling, you are. If you spent half the time you spend bitching about Chyna talking to me about me and our relationship, you and I wouldn't be having such a public break-up right now."
A great deal of air was sucked in at Molly's comment about the break up. It was one thing to be dumped. It was another to be dumped in public. And the whole thing about the unexpected public dumping? Well, that was just fun for the spectators.
"Excuse me?"
"Hey, you're getting what you finally want Tori. An opportunity to fuck your way through the roster once again. And maybe this time around, you can work your way to the top instead of working your way into a black mask like you did the last time."
Somewhere in the dining room, something said burn, letting the word trail.
"Let's talk this over in private."
"Nah," Molly said, getting up and walking to the dining room entrance. "I guess I got the kick in the ass I deserved to dump you. And before you rant and rave at Chyna and blame her for this otherwise I'll give you an ass kicking that'll make you remember Sable."
As she left the dining room, Molly knew that all the snickers and odd looks were meant for her ex and damn if it didn't feel good. She passed by Chyna's table and nodded at her friend before leaving.
Chyna sat in a booth next to Lillian, somewhat dumbfounded. Out of all the things she had expected, she hadn't expected this. It was over. Molly had finally given up on making a go of things with Tori. She was elated and yet she was unmoved somehow. This was good for Molly. She'd get her spunk back. But for her? She didn't want to be the rebound girlfriend. She wanted love, the real deal. And in the meantime, Lillian would do.
Finally, she looked up from her heaping plate of fruits and saw all three of her companions staring at her.
"What?"
"Uh
what are you nuts?" Test asked. "Go after her."
"No."
"No?"
"Molly made this choice for herself and I'm ecstatic for her. Really. But
"
"But what? She saw you with Lillian and BAM! Tori's history! That's a clue if I ever heard one. It was perfect."
"But that's not the way I want it. I don't Molly because she's jealous of Lillian. And I didn't go to bed with Lillian last night to make Molly jealous.
She's my friend yes. But she made a difficult decision and I'm going to stand by her. But I am not going to take advantage of her."
"You're sure?" Lillian asked. "I mean, I knew what was going on last night and
"
"I'm sure. Now, let's start eating because everyone is staring at me and personally, I hate it."
Molly was sitting on a couch in the hotel lobby when the cushion sunk down as someone sat next to her. A skinny arm went around her shoulders and pulled her to a wiry chest.
"How you doing?"
She leaned into Spike and a solitary tear rolled down her cheek.
"What can I say? I have regrets
