Part 41:

Edge and Chyna got the match underway quickly. They were fairly even competitors and what he had in agility and speed, she had in brute strength. Tags were made and Christian and Lita got into it, making it a high flying contest that took a lot out of both competitors.
"J.R., I can't believe I'm actually saying this but Lita and Chyna are actually giving the tag team champions a run for their money."
"This is a hard match indeed King. Lita and Chyna are definitely proving their mettle here and it's a beautiful thing to see."
Just then, Chyna sent Christian flying over the top rope and the shorter blonde landed a few feet from Lawler.
"Oh my God Christian, are you okay?"
Christian was slowly making his way to his feet but not quickly enough for Chyna's taste and she rolled out of the ring to roll him back into it. She dragged his limp body to her corner and tagged in Lita, giving both women a chance to kick the young man's middle. Then, they pulled him into a corner and threw him into the other. Lita ran at him at full speed and body-splashed him. He didn't even have the time to recover from that when Chyna's body hit him at full force after her back flips.
Looking very dazed and confused, the younger Canadian made a couple of tentative steps and fell flat on his face. Lita wasted no time in flipping him over for the three-count that would make her and Chyna the new tag team champions. But Edge wasn't about to let her get away with it. He fell on her quickly with a knee to the back.
But Chyna had no intention of letting the beautiful Canadian getting away with it. While Lita dealt with Christian with a hurricanrama from the top rope, putting him out of commission for good. While the referee slid into position for the three-count, Chyna was throwing Edge flying against the steel stairs.
"We've got new champions J.R.! We've got new champions… and they've got puppies!!!"
"And what a beautiful match it was!"
The Hardyz came running down the ramp with Sabrina to congratulate the champions and there were congratulations thrown all around the ring while the defeated Blondes sheepishly made their way up the ramp. Sabrina watched them go and snapped her fingers for a mike.
"Boys," she said with a smile, "I want to congratulate the both of you on a beautiful run as the WWF tag team champions. You did well. But just remember how your reign ended," Sabrina pulled the microphone from her mouth and chuckled. Then she said in a singsong voice, "you were beaten by gi-irls… you were beaten by gi-irls!"
And with the audience joining in, Edge and Christian made their way up the ramp, defeat dragging their shoulders low.

"So, how are the love birds?" Stephanie asked Sabrina the next morning on the flight back to Greenwich.
"Which ones?" Sabrina asked, looking up from her laptop.
"You and Matt?"
"Well…"
"Don't make me beg," said Stephanie, sitting down next to her mother's other daughter. "Amy and I want to get the dirt but you refuse to give us the dish."
"I'm kind of a private girl."
"Come on… if I were dating anyone in the WWF, I'd tell you and Amy about it."
"So why have you been keeping your affair with Michael Manna to yourself?"
Stephanie's blue eyes went wide and she looked around the plane, making sure no one had heard Sabrina.
"What are you talking about?" she hissed.
"You and Michael Manna, Stevie Richards? Leader of the RTC?"
"I don't understand."
"Steph, Matt and I saw the two of you making out when we came back from our date Monday night. Did your parents think you were in bed already?"
"All right!" Stephanie said with a smile. "Me and Michael have a thing… I know he doesn't appeal to everybody but let me tell you… his actions speak quite loudly if you know what I mean."
Sabrina chuckled and saved her document before shutting down the laptop.
"How long has it been?"
"About a month… I've been taking it slow, you know. Getting myself used to him…"
"Good. Taking your time is good. Get to know the person a bit better."
"You and Matt haven't been taking it slow."
"Matt and I are different," said Sabrina, avoiding Stephanie's steady gaze. "For us, it's about sex."
"Just sex?"
"Yeah."
"Don't you want more? The whole I-love-you thing?"
"No, I don't think so. I had it before and frankly, it wasn't anything to write home about."
"With Trish?"
"Yeah."
"Wow, she really did a number on you."
"Yes, she did."
"And what about Matt? What does he think about all of this?"
"He doesn't like it. He wants more."
"I see," said Steph, biting into her lip.
"What?"
"Well, I think he's kind of falling for you."
"No, he isn't," said Sabrina very calmly.
"What if he is?"
"He isn't."
"How can you be sure?"
"We have an agreement."
"An agreement?"
"Yes. He has two months. We both do, to satisfy ourselves sexually. I mean, I spelled it out to him very clearly. I wanted him, he wanted me. We have two months to satisfy those urges and then… then it's over."
"Just like that?"
"Just like that."
"And if you fall for him?"
"I won't."
"But…"
"I'm not going to fall for him, Stephanie. My heart doesn't do that anymore."
"So you don't love anybody?"
"I love people. I love my mother, my father, my brother, my nephews, my friends. And I like Matt, a lot. But I'm not going to fall in love with him."
"I wish I could have your determination."
"Why? Are you falling for Michael?"
"Yes," whispered Stephanie. "I'm falling for him hard."
"Good luck! Because as far as I'm concerned, falling in love is a lot more trouble than it's worth."
"Does she know? Trish I mean. Does she know?"
"Know what?"
"How she broke your heart?"
Sabrina swallowed. Hard. And turned to the other side of the plane where Trish was engaged in a very animated conversation with Adam and Jason.
"Why do you ask?"
"Because that might be the only reason why you're so unwilling to allow yourself to fall in love with Matt. Because things aren't completely over with you and Trish."
"I am not in love with that woman anymore."
"I know, but she broke your heart, right?"
"Right."
"And did you ever confront her about it?"
"No!"
"Then you should… because it's eating you up inside. Imagine the life you and Matt could have if you allowed yourself to fall in love with him."
Sabrina looked over at Trish one more time and her breath caught. Stephanie, damn her to bloody everlasting hell, was right. Trish needed to know how much she'd hurt her.
"All right. Thanks Stephanie, I do need to speak to Trish. I just don't know when I'll have the guts to do it."
"Cool. I mean, I like you Sab. I would hate for you to miss out on Matt because of your failed relationship with Trish."
"Yeah. Anyhow, on another topic… what do you think of an Andrew-Lita connection? Is it me or would they look great together?"
"You know… I think you're right… I say you, me, Michael and Matt go on a double date and have Andrew and Lita tag along."
"Oooooh, that's good," giggled Sabrina. "When would be good for you?"
The McMahon daughters heads got closer as they planned the dinner party that would definitely effect a connection between Andrew and Lita.

Part 42:

LARGE CONFERENCE ROOM, WWF HEADQUARTERS

"Yeah," said Amy with a shy smile, "he's all right…"
"Come on," Sabrina urged her, "he might be my brother on TV but even I gotta admit, the boy's hot."
"Please," said Jeff, rolling his eyes skyways, "he's got an overbite and he's freakishly tall."
"The overbite's adorable," said Steph, "and so are his dimples. And you're one to talk with the freakish hair colors."
Jeff pouted and looked to his brother for help. Matt shrugged and went back to reading his script. Sabrina and him had already argued about the matchmaking and the dinner but he'd lost the argument and there was no point for them to go at it again.
"So you're in?" Sab asked Amy.
"Yeah, I'm in. But on one condition."
"Which is?"
"If Andrew and I don't click, don't force it."
Sabrina and Stephanie shared a look and nodded.
"What about me?" Jeff asked, "aren't you going to hook me up?"
"Who do you want us to hook you up with?" Sabrina asked, wrapping her arms around his neck.
"I don't know, with Trish maybe."
Sab followed Jeff's gaze across the room to Trish and Stephanie's words came back to her. She straightened up and checked her watch.
"Excuse me," she said to her friends, "I'll be right back."
"What's up?" Matt asked, gently brushing his fingers along her arm.
"I'm reconsidering the duration of our two-month deal," she said cryptically before walking away from Matt.
He watched her walk across the room and pull her ex-girlfriend to the side and lead her out of the room. Matt felt his world tilt, throwing him completely off balance, making him feel like he'd entered the Joker's lair in an old-fashioned episode of Batman. He shut his eyes, hoping Sabrina would be by his side when he reopened them. But she wasn't. Matt didn't know what to think and it made him angry, at himself, and at her.

"What's up?" Trish asked as Sabrina led her into a much smaller room.
"Vince and Linda aren't going to get there for another twenty minutes and we need to talk."
"About?"
"Us."
"Us? Last time we talked, there was no us to talk about."
"Not a present us but a past us. I can't deny that. And I can't pretend I didn't love you, that I was in love with you."
"I know. And I cared about you Sabrina. No matter how hard it might be to believe that."
"I'll be honest, I'd be very hard pressed to believe that considering how we… our relationship ended. I didn't think you did."
"That's comprehensible. And I treated you badly, very badly. To this day, I still feel bad about that, you didn't deserve to be treated the way I treated you."
"You're right, I didn't deserve that. I loved you. I was in love with you… I gave you my heart and you walked all over it."
Hearing herself say those words brought the reality of the moment home to Sabrina. She had been in love with Trish and she'd gotten her heart broken. She'd known that. But hearing herself say those very words to Trish was different. It was a way of sharing the hurt, the pain, and damn if it didn't feel good.

Trish kept her breath regulated as Sabrina's words made their way into her. She had broken her heart? Trish was speechless. She didn't know what to do, what to say, or how to react. Had she known, she asked herself. Yes, she had. She had always known but until today, it was a knowledge she'd chosen to ignore. Until Sabrina brought home that fact.
"I know."
"You know?"
"Yes. When I saw the look in your eyes I realized that I had broken your heart and…"
"And what? Did you get off on it?" Sabrina asked aggressively.
"A bit, yeah," said Trish, looking at her straight in the eyes.
"You bitch!"
"Yeah, I am a bitch! I am now, I was then, and I will be tomorrow. You were an overbearing bitch to me when we were together Sabrina."
"Excuse me?"
"Oh yeah. Your way is always the best way. You always took the moral high road. And you disapproved of everything I did."
"I did not! I loved you."
"Yeah, you did. You loved me. You were in love with me. But you never introduced me to your parents or to your brother. And when your sister-in-law died, you turned me down flat when I offered to accompany you."
"I didn't… I was so confused then…"
"About her death? Yeah, maybe. But you knew one thing for sure Sabrina: you didn't want Mom and Dad to know their baby girl was a fucking dyke."
"You know what? You're right. I didn't want them to know. I knew I was in love with you and you were a woman… I thought I knew exactly who I was but you… you, you threw me for a fucking loop. How could I explain you to them when I couldn't explain you to myself, exeept to say that I was in love with you?"
"You made me feel cheap!"
"I didn't know."
"I was hurt and that's when I decided to hurt you back. That's why I finally responded to Susan's advances. She wanted me and I know that our being together would hurt you."
"It broke my heart…"
"Like I said before… I know."
"Yeah… you said that… you knew."
"Why did you bring me in here Sabrina?"
"To let you know that you'd broken myself. To free myself, my heart."
"Wow, how healthy and Oprah of you. Doesn't this lovely process have a name? Closure or something?"
"Listen, ridicule the process if you want but I needed this, all right?"
"Fine. I'll be leaving now."
Trish started walking to the door and turned around as understanding dawned upon her.
"This is for the Hardy boy, isn't it? You need closure from me so you can feel free to be with him?"
"Trish… you don't want to get into this."
"So you love him?"
"I might."
"Does he satisfy you? Completely?"
"Yep… so far."
"Well, I'm not going to lie. I thought you and I would… you know."
"So you could cheat on me again? I learned my lesson."
"Too bad. Could you imagine us? The first woman-woman couple in the WWF… would have been great."
"But I never would have trusted you."
"But you can trust him?"
"Yeah."
"And if I earned your trust again?" Trish asked.
Sabrina, not trusting herself to answer, just shook her head. Trish hung her head and ran out of the conference room. Sab leaned against the table with a sigh and asked herself one very important question: why hadn't she trusted herself to answer Trish's question? Was she still vulnerable to her?

Part 43:

Sabrina watched Matt arrange the table cloth on top of the dining room table and smiled. He hadn't even asked if she needed his help. He'd just started to help. Few men would make the first move when it came to helping their girlfriends set the table for a dinner party. But on the other hand, Matt had been suspiciously quiet for the past couple of days. Actually, since the conference at Titan Towers when Vince and Linda had announced their month-long vacation.
"What plates do you want me to use?" he asked.
"The red and white ones. Matt," said Sabrina as she watched him get the plates out of the cupboard.
"Yeah?"
"Are you mad at me or something?"
"What?"
"Are you mad at me? You and I have barely spoken since Wednesday, when we were at Titan."
"I wouldn't say I'm mad at you exactly," he said, "but I'm not completely happy either."
"What's wrong then?"
"Remember what you told me on Wednesday about reconsidering our two-month deal?"
"Yeah?"
"Well, I've been thinking about it too. Help me set the table?"
Picking up the salad plates and the utensils, Sabrina followed Matt into the dining room. As he set the plates, she followed him again, setting the plates, the forks and knives.
"Me too," she says, "I've been thinking about it and…"
"I want more," Matt and Sabrina said at the same time.
They looked up at each other and chuckled nervously.
"What about that big conversation with Trish on Wednesday? What was that all about?"
"Closure. She broke my heart and I needed to close that chapter of my life."
"But you said…"
"That I was reconsidering our two-month arrangement. And I was. Closing the book on Trish, putting the final period in that story, that freed me to open the book on us, our history, our love affair."
Matt nodded and put the wine glasses down on the table and hooked a finger at Sabrina. Smiling, she walked toward him, a slight hop in her step. He waited until she stood a bare half an inch from him when he raised his hand in the air, inducing her to stop.
"Open our book?" he asked her, "on our love affair?"
Sabrina nodded and took a deep breath, pushing her breasts toward Matt. "Our book," she confirmed, "our love affair."
"Does that mean the two month deal is over?"
"Well…"
"Cause I was thinking we could fuck our way through the remaining week and a half. Then we can become official."
"That sounds good actually. Very tempting."

"Yeah, I thought you'd agree. When do our guests arrive?"
"I told them to be here by seven."
"It's six fifteen now. We have more than enough time to…"
"Let me check on the food. I don't want anything to burn."
"I'll be in your room. And if you hurry, we might get to go at it twice."
Running to the kitchen, Sabrina ran to the oven and shut it off, moving pots and pants from the hot plates. Then she ran to her bedroom when Matt was lying on her bed, rubbing his still covered crotch.
"Hey," she said with a grin, leaning against the wall.
"Come here," he said, his voice raspy with lust.
Restraining her urge to run to him, Sabrina walked slowly to the bed, stopping by his side. A grin split his face, both adorable and wicked as his hand curled around her ankle and ran up her long leg, fingers on the inside, finally coming to rest on that hot spot between her thighs, thighs she'd spread in expectation of the pleasure to come. His hand under her skirt pulled at her panties, tugging them off her legs.
"Fuck me," he said with a grin, "you take control and fuck me."
Grinning with all of her teeth, Sabrina straddled Matt's waist, quickly unzipping his pants and freeing his erection. Without taking a breath, she sank down upon him fully, setting a rhythm that threatened their sanity. Sinking his fingers into the collar of her dress, Matt tore it off her body, throwing it away, her bra following. He pulled at her turgid nipples until they were twice their usual size. Sabrina let out a long moan, torn between pleasure and pain.
"Good or bad?" he asked, a storm brewing in his velvety eyes.
"Both."
Her dazed green gaze focused on the intent expression on his face and she sped up the tempo until pleasure shocked them both out of their skins at the same time.

Sabrina was lying on top of Matt, his penis, which hadn't gone completely soft yet, still buried in her when her home phone rang.
"Hello?" she said.
"Sab?" It was Steph. "What should we bring? Amy and I were wondering…"
"Red wine and dessert."
"Anything else?"
"Be late."
"What?"
"Half an hour would be good. Forty-five would be better."
"What was that about?" Matt asked as Sabrina hung up the phone.
"I don't want to rush the second time you promised me."
Immediately, Sabrina felt Matt harden inside of her and started pumping her body up and down.

Sabrina looked down the table and saw Amy blush at something Matt said which made Andrew laugh. But as the redhead flushed to a red that rivaled her hair, the other McMahon daughter saw her TV brother smile warmly at his dinner partner, making Amy smile.
"Sab, your opinion?" asked Steph, "cartoons when we were kids? Jem or GI Joe?"
"Tough call. Jem over My Little Pony and CareBears and GI Joe over Transformers but I gotta confess, I was a GI Joe girl."
"See," said Michael, grinning at Stephanie, "even Sab agrees, GI Joe rocked. Jem was…"
"Watch your mouth," said Matt, waving his fork around, "I had a serious thing for Jem. She was HOT!"
"Scarlet was hotter," said Andrew. "I always liked redheads."
Sabrina, Stephanie, Matt and Michael rolled their eyes at Andrew's indirect compliment to Amy. But she ate it all up, blushing again. Sabrina shared a grin with Matt who winked back at her. Before she could get up to clear the table, Matt got up, inviting Michael and Andrew to help. As soon as the girls were alone, they huddled around Amy, grinning like crazy.
"So," Stephanie asked.
"Yeah," Sabrina quipped, "so?"
"He's so adorable and sweet."
"I knew it! Sparks?"
"I feel like I'm on fire."

In the kitchen, Michael and Andrew leaned against the counter as Matt got out dessert plates, coffee cups and saucers.
"You do know they're talking about us in there?" said Michael.
"Yes," said Andrew noncommittally.
"So you like Amy, right?" asked Matt.
"Yeah, she's cool."
"Good. She's like my little sister man."
Andrew eyed Matt and nodded. Messing with Amy meant getting on Matt, and probably Jeff's, bad side.

All three couples sat in Sabrina's living room watching the Star Wars trilogy. By then, Amy and Andrew were officially an item. She was curled up in his lap, her back resting against his chest and he was smoothing her hair off her face.
"You did good," Matt whispered to Sabrina.
"Huh?" she grunted, tearing her eyes away from the light saber fight.
"Amy and Andrew."
"Yeah well… they would have gotten to it eventually."
"Still…"
"Yeah. Steph and I did good. Imagine… Drew could end up meaning as much to Amy as you mean to me."
"That'd be good?"
"Good? Matt, you're like… well… I did extend our two month agreement to one that'll hopefully be permanent. Yeah, it'd be good if Amy could find someone like that."
His dark eyes grew serious as he covered her mouth with a passionate kiss. Their kiss was the start off point for a make-out session that reminded all six of their younger days and evenings spent in basements making out.
