Part 4:
Kai was in her room, getting dressed for the night's show when the buzzer on her apartment rang. She heard her mother's footsteps as she crossed the living room to open the door and resumed dressing. Until she heard that voice.
"Good evening ma'am," Shane said, "I'm here to pick up Kai."
"You're not the usual driver."
"I know but I was one of your daughter's guests last night and I have to be at the station so I thought I'd give her a ride."
"What about the driver?"
"Well, I told him to take the night off. I'll drive Kai to and from the station."
"Well, I don't know about that."
In her room, Kai was torn between laughing at Shane and being mad at her mother. She had a feeling the heir to the McMahon fortune wasn't used to being treated with such mistrust. But at the same time, her mother was laying it on a little thick, even for her. The DJ grabbed her bag and her cane and left her room, joining her mother at the apartment door.
"Mom," she asked, "is that Ronnie at the door?"
"No. It's some strange man who thinks I'm going to let him drive my daughter away."
"Strange man"
"Hi Kai, it's Shane."
"Shane?" she asked innocently. "What are you doing here? Where's Ronnie?"
"Well, I thought I'd give you a ride to the station."
"Why?"
"Well, I'm headed down there tonight and
"
"Oh. Well, I suppose it would be all right."
"Are you sure?" her mother asked.
"Yes Mom, it's all right. It's Shane McMahon, heir to the WWF Empire."
"So?"
"Mom
"
"I suppose it's all right."
"All right. See you in the morning."
"She is scarier than my father," Shane whispered as he helped Kai into the elevator.
"I guess so."
"So how are you doing tonight?"
"Not too bad and you?"
"I'm pretty good. So
"
"So?"
"Did you think about what we talked about last night?"
"We talked about a lot of things last night," Kai said with a grin.
"Kai
"
"Yes?"
"Do you believe me now? About your smile and your personality? How beautiful they are?"
"I suppose I do," she whispered, allowing him to lead her into the plush limousine.
"Good," he replied smugly, crossing his arms over his chest, "that's a very good thing."
"What are you up to?" she asked him.
"What are you talking about?"
"I've been a wrestling fan for too long not to know that you must have a smug smirk on your face right now, Shane Brandon McMahon."
"I am not smirking."
"Ha! You're lying."
"I am not!"
"You are! I can tell!"
"How?"
"I'm a very talented girl."
"I know you are
"
"Shane!"
"What now?"
"You know, this might be fun for you, stringing the poor blind girl along but me, I'm hurting right now, so I'd really appreciate it if you stopped."
"Stop?"
Shane turned to Kai, an almost angry look on his face before he framed her face into his hands and brought his mouth down upon her full lips. But any angry thoughts melted away when he saw her slowly close her eyes, accepting his kiss and its intensity. He started by brushing his lips over hers, pulling away to look at her intense expression. Then he returned to the haven of her mouth and kissed her slowly, softly, pulling her lips into his mouth, licking them, nibbling on them until he felt Kai's hands digging into his shoulders. He'd be bruised in the morning but he was way past caring about that.
"Give me your mouth," he murmured against her lips.
With an almost imperceptible nod, she slowly spread her lips and his tongue was in there fast, tasting her sweetness, her nectar. Shane found her tongue almost at the bottom of her throat, almost afraid to come out of hiding. Smiling at her coyness, he went in a little deeper, tantalizing her with his skillful tongue until she couldn't stop herself from responding. And when she did, Shane was overwhelmed by his reaction to her. He'd kissed women with more experience in the past but Kai was so different.
Kissing Kai was like reaching out to touch the sun and finding out it was made of velvet, warm, enveloping velvet that made you want to burrow into it and spend eternity there. Slowly, he pulled her into his lap and covered her breast with his hand, rubbing her nipple with the palm of his hand.
"Don't stop," she whispered into his mouth, "ever."
With an invitation like that, Shane didn't want to do anything but obey. Without her even realizing it, Kai found herself lying on her back in the back seat of a limousine with Shane McMahon on top of her, kissing her like she'd never thought she'd be kissed in her life.
When the limousine stopped, both of them opened their eyes, looking surprised and disappointed.
"I suppose I should let you go inside now," Shane whispered.
"I suppose you should."
"But I don't want to."
"I don't want to either."
"Kai, we'll get to do this over and over again, won't we?"
"We will?" she asked, trying to sit up.
"Of course we will. What did you think?"
"I tried not to think. Well, not about that."
"What is that supposed to mean?"
"That
"
"What?"
"Shane, you're the first."
"The first what?"
"The first everything. Boyfriend, guys who's interested in me. You're the first. And my first kiss."
"I am?"
At that moment, if Shane could have snapped his suspenders in pride, he would have. He was the first. He was the fucking first! To have tasted her sweetness, to have touched her. This is what whoever had first climbed Mount Everest must have felt and it felt fucking great.
"Yes," Kai whispered, taking a deep breath. "I'm sorry."
"For what?" Shane wanted to know. "Do you not want to know how good that makes me feel?"
"Good?"
"Yes. I'm the first. Call me an old fashioned macho man but nothing feels as good as this right now. I am the first man you kissed. I feel
Huge! Bigger than
the Big Show!"
"It's just a kiss Shane."
"No, it's our first kiss. That makes it more special than anything else in the world. And it's your first kiss."
"Shane, there will be other girls
"
"For you? I didn't know you were into that but hey, a man learns to accept these things," he chuckled.
"Shane," she said, smacking him, "I'm being serious here!"
"I'm sorry Kai. I know you are. But right now, I don't want to think about anyone but you. With me."
Kai bit her lip and her fingers went to her Braille watch.
"I have to go in," she whispered. "Kevin must be wondering where I am."
"All right," Shane said, helping her out of the limousine, "I'll walk with you."
"I can do it on my own," she said stubbornly.
"Kai
"
"Oh fine," she sighed.
Her hand tucked in the crook of Shane's arm, Kai allowed him to lead her up to the studio. While they walked in silence, she thought about the recent happenings. She'd made out with Shane McMahon in the back of a limousine and he was acting as if things were just hunky dory between them. He was acting like
no, he couldn't be
"He is Kai," genie Stephanie whispered in her charge's ear.
"He is yours, heart and soul.
Kai turned to Shane while she reached out to the elevator control panel and pressed on the STOP button.
"Kai, what the hell? Are you all right?"
"What do you want from me Shane? I've lived too long, suffered for long enough to be played around anymore. You're offering me the one thing I don't even want to dream of anymore. Is it serious or not?"
"It's serious."
"Good," she said with a smile. "But be warned, if you fuck this up, I have my friend Kat will probably make it her personal mission in life to make sure you can't give Vince any grandchildren."
"She sounds a tad violent."
"Yeah. And I like her that way."
"So, do you think the rest of your friends will approve of me?" Shane asked as he pressed the RESUME button while wrapping an arm around his Kai's shoulders.
"Once they get done with drooling over you they will."
"Until then?"
"It's open season on you."
"Should I be afraid?" he asked, pecking her nose as the cage came to a smooth halt.
"Very
