Eddy Guerrero News

- Good news for Eddy Guerrero. Apparently, no damage was done to his arm other than the dislocated elbow, which means he will be back in as soon as six weeks. His arm will be immobilized for three weeks, then he will go through three weeks of rehab. The night of the injury his elbow was re-set and he went to the hospital for X-rays. He will remain a prominent personality on television during his recovery period. The injury occurred because he was favoring his other arm which was still recovering from a previous injury. By trying to absorb more weight than normal on the healthy arm, he jammed it and dislocated his elbow badly.

When Guerrero injured his elbow, he was in such agonizing pain, they went right to a finish of Gunn pinning him, which changed the entire storyline of the program. Contrary to speculation, the finish of the match was not going to be Guerrero pinning Gunn after the frog splash. Guerrero & Saturn were going to win the match a minute or two later. In fact, the ref counted to two after Guerrero's frogsplash and then Road Dogg dragged the ref out of the ring. Road Dogg didn't even know Guerrero was hurt at that point. Guerrero then told Gunn, "I'm hurt! Pin me! Pin me!" Gunn was scared and did exactly what the injured wrestler asked him to do. The planned finish was for Guerrero & Saturn to eventually win the match.
