He stood before the High Power, who was watching him carefully. "If I send you upon Earth, there is a good chance you'll lose all memory of yourself and the mission." "I know this, but I'm the only one who will go. The Earth needs my help against the demon, please, let me go." The Higher Power sat, stroking his long, white beared. "Very well. You shall be put on the Earth looking as you are now, knowing what you need to know." "I understand, thank you." The Higher Power closed his eyes, and in an instant, his angel was gone.

pt.1

He jumped back as a taxi cab sped past him. He only wore a white, little bit to big, shirt with ruffles. He felt a draft beneath it, and shivered, his first real feeling. He stumbled as he walk, laughing and smiling as he took in the view, Earth was beautiful! The Creator much be very please. Tall structures rose above the clouds, as if they went to Heaven themselves. Someone pushed him to the side and he fell over, screaming and holding onto his bare knee which had a large cut in it, a red liquid bleeding out. He looked at in awe, touching it and flinching as it shot pain threw his body, pain. He looked up at the human people, walking by, not even paying attention to him. For such a beautiful world, were the beings really this cruel? His questioned had an answer very soon. "My Lord, look at you, all dirty and half naked at that! Good Lord child." He looked up at the brown eyes of the dark woman standing infront of him, reaching out to help him up. He gladly took her help, "Thank you." She laughed, "No problem child. My, my, look at you. You need some clothes, some pants at least. Are you hungry? What about a place to sleep?" He looked around, "I'm in search of a demon, do you know where they meet?" She laughed and patted his head. "Let's go get you a change of clothes and a hot meal, you're skin and bones!"  The soup felt good going down his throat. The pants were a little icnhy, but warm. He looked over the group of people, the ones called 'homeless'. Poor things, being abonaded by their fellow kind, it was sad, espcially when he saw the children. He remembered children from before, how'd they run arond in the light chasing after butterflies and such. The little girls in white dresses, the little boys in long, poet shirts as the one he wore. He often visted with them, when not on duty, picking out the stars and playing games, they were much happier there then here. Here they were dirty, sadden, it was awful to look at. But they were still beautiful. Speaking of beauty...."Would you like some more?"

pt.2

He looked up and seen stars in her eyes, his voice stop mid-throat. "It's all right if you have seconds, we have plenty." She smiled and poured some more soup in his bowl. Her beauty struck him in awe, the most beautiful human woman he had ever since, in his few moments on Earth. "You're beautiful," he breathed softly. She laughed and sat down next to him. "You must have been in the cold to long, got freezer burnt brain." "But you are, you're like an angel." she giggled, "That's the oldest pick up line in the book, you must be really sick, so what's your name weets?" "I..um...well I don't have one." "Playin games? Ok, then I'll pick one for you, hmmm, how about Christian?" he nodded with a smile, "It sounds heavenly, and what is your name?" "Ah, you can call me Shelby, so you staying here all night?" "Oh no, I'm on a mission, there's a demon lose on Earth, I was sent to stop it." She laughed again, "Funny one. Anyway, why don't you stay at my place, I usually take a few of the homeless with me, I'm trusting, a little weakness of mine. But, I can't resist a blonde bombshell like yourself." "Bombshell, I don't understand." She took his arm and helped him stand up. "You're behind the times, I'll get you caught up." He waited until she was sound asleep before he went to peer into her room. Slowly, he opened the door, being careful for it not to creak as he did so. He often like to watch the little children sleep, sooth them when they had a nightmare, holding them when they cried. Yet, something about Shelby reminded him of a little girl he used to often visit. She was so small and sick, they kept her in the place were often people came to die. She used to cry every night into her pillow until he came. And when he was asked to take her away, he almost didn't know what to do. Together, they watched as the human doctors tried to revive her empty body. He still remembered the bright eyes and smile she had when they went home. Shelby had those bright eyes of hope and happines, angelic in her own Earthly ways, surley she should have belonded in Heaven with him.  He went closer to the bed, standing over her. Slowly, he moved his hand out and smoothed her brow, jumping back as she woke up and looked at him.

pt.3

"Hey, can't sleep?" she asked him while sitting up in the bed. He nodded softly, "I never sleep." She smiled and patted the bed, he sat down. "You're really strange you know that, don't you? You're out of this world." "Then you know I'm an angel?" And it was then he heard the thunder in his head, the booming voice of one of the high angels, Andrew. The world paused for an instant as he spoke to him. "I have come to warn you, Christian, these matters are serious." "Matters? I don't understand." Andrew smiled, "Of course you don't, you were made of heavenly body, not a man. I was sent to give you some rules." "Rules?" He nodded, "First and formost, never tell a soul about your true idenity, no matter what. Fellow angels shall reviel themselves to you when they think you are in need, but no one else. Second, you can't forget your mission, the demon is still lose and needs to be stopped, you must go tonight, you'll know the way." He paused for a moment and looked to Shelby. "Third, you must never be tempted by the flesh, or else you'll be stripped of your being." Tempted by the flesh?! The thought ran in Christian's mind. "But I can't leave her, she's helped so much." "If you do not stop this demon, then he'll overthrow the Earth, and you'll truley leave her." And, he was gone. Shelby giggled, "An angel? I'd believe it." He stared at her, "Well, not a real angel." She smiled and slid her hand over his. "You're sweet, and cute." He smiled and thanked her. "You should go back to sleep now, I'll leave you." She nodded as he tucked her in, the bent down, kissing her forhead. She blushed a little and so did he, turning, he walked out. He found clothes in the closet, a plain white t-shirt and jeans that were a little bit to big, but fit nicely with a belt. He walked by Shelby's door and sighed, peeking in agian, to his surprise, seeing her wide awake. She looked at him, tears in her eyes. "What's wrong?" She sniffed and looked at him, "Do you not like me?" He was stumped by the question, "I like you." "You told me I was beautiful, but, besides the little kiss on the forhead, it's like you don't mean it." "No! No, I ment every word of it, I did, it's just...I.." "Can't what?" "I..I have to go. If I could tell you why I would, but if I stay I..put you in danger." She shot up out of bed as he turned down the hall. "Christian, wait, don't go!" He stopped and looked back at her, swallowing hard. "Please, don't make this any harder Shelby, I must go, I must, I wish you could understand why." He walked to her quickly, bending down and kissing her gently on the lips, holding her close. "You are a wonderful person, I can't let anything happen to you." He sighed and left. Unknown to the two, a couple of dark figures had watched the exchange. "It's interesting they send one so unprepared." One of them chuckled and stood back. The other nodded, "Quite unfortunate, for Heaven that is. Let's say we get little Chrissy on our side, does that sound like fun Edge?" The first one, a tall blonde with a crazy smile, nodded. "Sounds like a Hell of a lot of fun Gangrel." the two laughed and made their way threw the back door of the house.

pt.4

The path was clear to him in thought, he didn't look back. He could see the place so clearly in his mind, he knew exactly where to go. When it was all over with, he'd go back to Shelby, talk to her before he had to go back. He had a strange feeling when he first met her, an even stranger one when their lips kissed, was it possible for an angel to fall in love? To love yes, love all mortals, but to be in love with one, he had never heard such a thing. He stopped mid-step as he stared up at a large brick red building. "Here? It seems right." He paused, before opening the door. He walked down a dark and long hallway, a woman had ran up to him, asking for something for the right price, he ignored her and went past. "Hey? You lookin for Takes?" He stopped and turned to her, while she chewed on her gum. "Who?" "Takes, the guy that runs tha place, you lookin for him?" He nodded, Whoever this Takes person was, he would find out the demon for sure. She pointed him to the door at the very end of the hallway, and with an stable hand, he opened it. Shelby sat in her livingroom area, sighing and wiping her eyes. "Shelby?" Someone called from behind her. "Christian, is that you?" She saw the dark figure in the shadows nod. She jumped up and ran to him, hugging him tightly. Starnds of gold fell over her arms and she felt his fingers caresses her. "Oh, I thought you left, I thought-" That's when she heard him chuckled, then laugh. She looked up at him as a car passed, lighting up the house, seeing it wasn't Christian. Before she could pull away, he held her even closer. "No way sweets, we're gonna have some fun with you." "Oh God..please God...don't hurt me..." She looked at him again, he could easily pass for Christian's brother, the same angelic face. He pulled her against him and she whimpered, "No Edge! Not yet, we need her." The man holding her turned to another man. "Aw come on, let me have some before we get the guy." "No! Bring her and lets go." He looked about the room, jumping back as the kindly old lady from before stepped infront of him. "By grace child, you look afright." "What are you doing here, do you deal with this demon?" he charged her angrily. The old woman laughed, throwing her head back and cackeling. Right before his eyes in a blur, she changed. From the old woman to a tall, dark, man. His voice deepend and he looked to Christian, dark eyes ablaze with the fires of Hell! "Heaven sends such a weak, gulable angel to defeat me? I'm not surprise, seeing I all ready took out most of your pitiful kind." Christain growled, "You will not live to see another wrong doing demon." "Please, if you will, and know this before I destroy you, my name is Taker."

pt.5

"So, you are the demon I was sent to destroy?" He laughed and it made the walls shake. "Heaven is one thing boy, but on Earth, Hell rules. We live in a time were religion is of no importance, look past all you were taught, and look towards all you want. Anything is yours, if you grasp it, like we have with this place." Christian removed his jacket and shirt, standing only in the loose jeans and belt along with the leather boots. "Wether I live or die, at least I fought defending the honor of Heaven against a Hell Spawn like you." "Ah, but you don't want to die do you? So much in this world you want to experiment with." Christian paused, then shook it off. "You will not trick me demon. I was sent to do the goodly work, and that's what I shall do." He charged at him, but Taker was quick and graceful to get out of his way. He tripped over his feet and landed on the hard floor. He stood over him, laughing. "You're fellow angel Adam had put up a much better fight before I convinced him to join me. Wont you consider it?" "Never!" He raised himself, then stopped in his tracks. Two men had entered the room, standing behind him. A shorter one, little larger, held onto a small figure. "Christian.." Shelby whimpered. His blood boiled, his jaw clenched, and his fist balled up. "Leave her out of this, she had no part in this battle!" "Ah, but you seem to care about her an awful lot, do you not?" Christian looked into her eyes, seemingly she wanted an answer too. He sighed and bowed his head, nodded. "She is...the most beautiful creature the Creator ever made, she..should be an angel." The taller blonde laughed, "An angel? What kind of life is that? Take it from me, I've had a lot more fun when I sold my soul to Hell." Christian shook his head, "We will see who laughs last." "Enough!" Taker's voice bommed again and all were silent. He turned to Christian with a smile, "If you care for her so much, why do you deny yourself the pleasures of the flesh? Because you are commanded to never touch the skin? Feel a hot breath fan your cheek? Poor, poor angel." He pulled Shelby from Gangrel and held her close to him. "When you're gone, I'll make sure she get's every pleasure she deserved from you." "Wait!" Taker looked at him and grinned, "Yes?" "Let her go, and, and I'll surrender." Edge chuckled to himself while Taker listened, "You mean to give up your Heavenling place and being, to save this woman? Give up an eternity for this flesh?' "If it was one lesson I was taught it was to always protect, that's what an angel does, watches over and protects. If I can save her from you, if I could save one person from your greedy hands, then it would be worth damning myself to Hell. Let her go and I'll surrender." Taker looked at her and smiled, pushing her to him. He grabbed her up tightly as Taker came to them, exstending his hand. Christian looked at it for a moment, then placed his in his. He felt as if he were being drained. He herd Shelby scream his name, he heard the three demons saying congradtualtions to him. He couldn't sort it all out at once, he blacked out.

The Fallen Angel Chap. 2 pt. 1

No thought of sin even came to him as he looked into her big, innocent eyes, getting lost in their deep pools of confusion. No thought of the dammnation of his soul to Hell ever crossed his mind at this moment, all he could see before him was her, and he realized that he did do the right thing. Maybe it was just his cross over from angel to demon that clouded his logic, but he knew when he grabbed her and kissed her demandingly that it was all worth it. They were probably both confused at that moment, but one thought ran on his mind, Shelby, he had to have Shelby, at least for one night, to make her his. It was like he was on a different plane, staring at her on the blood red satin sheets *provided by Taker* he had never done anything of this nature, yet he knew exactly what to do, as if the Creator himself gave him the knowledge, of course that wasn't the case at the moment. His sight blurred as each new sensation washed over him like a cool wind. He could hear the large oak bed creaking with each of his thrusts. He groaned, even calling out his Creator's name as he reached the climax of their intercourse; then he fell back to the bed tired and glistening with sweat. "God forgive me..." he said so silently, he wasn't sure the Creator heard it himself. Christian's dreams plagued him. His once fellow angel's, armed with golden swords, came to destroy him. "I did it for love." he heard himself say. "He always told us to protect them for love, love is our weapon, not revenge." And Andrew had pointed to him, a sneer on his face, "Love of mortals, not the love of a mortal. You sold yourself to Hell Christian, it is time you recieved your judgement." Andrew rasied his sword in the air, bringing it down in a swish. Christian's eyes shot open and he gasped for air. He looked over at Shelby asleep next to him, quickly, he grabbed her up in his arms. "Oh God, what have I done?" crystal tears ran down his cheek, falling on her face. He wrapped a sheet around her and picked her up, climbing out the window. "Must get you to saftey, I have to get you away." He walked until he saw a large cathedral. He reached to open the door, but pulled back as it burned him. Of course, the dammed couldn't step into such a holy place, and so he layed her down on the steps under the stone statue of St. Matthew. "Protect her, watch her, make her forget me." He kissed her cheek and ran, running as fast and as far as he could. He closed his eyes, the ground hurting his feet. "Kill me, destroy me now, don't let me see her, don't let me damn her." And it was then he heard the thunder in his head and a strong pair of arms grab him and hold him steady. "She will not be dammed." Andrew's voiced soothed over him.

The Fallen Angel Conclusion

The figure looked at the girl laying on the doorstep and softly tried to wake her up. Shelby opened her eyes and looked at the blue sky above her. "Christian?" A priest towered over her, a look of consern on his face. "My child, are you all right?" She nodded softly and he helped her up. "I'm sorry, if I can just use your phone..." She reached to open the church door but he held her back. "I'm afraid that's impossible, you see, you need to come with me." "I'm sorry Father, but I need to get help." She tried to pull from his grasp but it held firmly. Fear entered her eyes as the his face twisted into an evil smile and laughter. "Sorry, but you're not going anywhere." They shinned in beauty as they stood around the small building. Andrew laid a hand on Christian's shoulder. "We can't protect you if you are killed, you understand that don't you?" He nodded. "And you know if you are killed, you will not return to Heaven." "Yes, I know." "Good." Andrew looked upon the building, "Then let this end now." Christian opened the door and stepped in, only to be smashed against the wall. "Where is she?!" Adam growled in his face. Christian pushed him off with ease. "Someonewhere safe, were you can't touch her." Adam's face grew tight in anger and he tackled Christian to the floor. The two rolled around on the floor until Taker broke them apart. "Enough!" he barked and threw Christian back against the wall. "You will bring her back here or I will find her and kill her myself." "You wont be going anywhere." He laughed and kicked him in the ribs. Christian's body was racked in pain and he curled himself up in a ball. "And who's going to stop me?" The room exploded in light and the three people inside sheilded their eyes. Christian looked up and saw Andrew above him, extended his hand to help him up. He looked about the room and saw the brigade of angels that had came to end this fight. Adam panic, fear filling up in his eyes as he once fellow angels glared at him. Christian noticed it to, anger in the eyes of the angels. Then, the forces collided. Taker took on all the angels at once, throwing some down or away. Adam had back himself into a corner as Andrew approached him. "You sold yourself to Hell Adam, it's time you recieved your payment." Christian turned away as not to see what would happen next, he all ready knew. Though Taker was outnumber, he still gave them a tough fight, laughing as he tossed another to the side. David had came in the back as all this was going down, and in his hands, he held Shelby. Once Andrew was done with Adam, he went to face Taker. Thw two squared off in an equal battle, after all, Andrew was one of the high angels. Christian held onto his chest and approached David, Shelby shaking in his hands. "Let her go." David only laughed and threw Shelby infront of him. She looked at Christian, tears in her eyes. "Christian..." He looked at her, tears coming into his eyes as well, until he noticed David pulling a long dagger from under his jacket, making a charge at Shelby. "No!" Shelby's body landed on the hard floor and she looked to see Christian; skin pale, face filled with pain, and body buried into the dagger that David held. Melissa saw this and cried out, pulling David from him and sending him back to Hell. Christian fell to his knees, looking over just in time as Andrew finsihed off Taker, then looked at him. The once vivid colors seemed to fade into black and white and he elt his body crash to the ground. Shelby screamed, crawling over to him and holding his head in her lap. She smoothed his face as he looked at her, eyes turning gray. "So this is what it's like." he coughed, tasting blood on his lips. Her tears fell on his face as she kissed him softly. "I love you Christian." He closed his eyes, "Love... I love you too." he sighed and went limp in her grasp. She held his body close to her and cried. Andrew looked to Melissa then picked Christian up. "Wait.. you can't take him..." Shelby sobbed and Melissa placed a hand on her shoulder, helping her to relax then fall to sleep. The two angels exchanged glances. "There's nothign we can do, but ask." "He wont let him be an angel again Drew, you know He wont." Andrew nodded, "Maybe not, but maybe he can become something else." His eyes shot open and he yawned, sitting up and stretching. He looked over and saw Shelby asleep next to him, he smiled and laid back down with her. Gently, he smoothed her face with his fingertips and he closed his eyes, praying. "Thank you." "Christian?" He looked at her and smiled, "What is it?" "I love you." He chuckled softly and grabbed her up in his arms, kissing her gently. "I love you too."

The End
