Alas, only a few Barbarians pictured here. My sincerest regrets, ladies: I thought I had a few more than just these four views, but it seems I was sadly mistaken. On the other hand, I do have at least ten times that number of the lovely lasses of TRF. Hmmmm... Guess we know where my interests lie! Verily, I shall make amends this Fall. In the meantime, pray enjoy these portraits, knowing that there were far more handsome, barechested Barbarians -- such as the one to the right, apparently contemplating his own bare chest -- roaming TRF than these few shown here!
Her advantage: Keltic, visiting TRF for the first time from the Maryland Renaissance Festival, caught this Barbarian off-guard -- with both hands full of meat and drink. Presumably, they're far safer that way!!!
A small group of Barbarians, a Scot and one of the chainmail lasses were captured here on the final day of TRF (Photo, Right).
My finest portrait to date! While heading back to camp after a long day at faire, I just happened to spot this Barbarian sitting in Twyla Tyes' Hair Wrapping establishment across from the Globe Theatre. All he could do was sit there and smile while the ladies went about their business of wrapping his hair, gloriously unaware of the camera aimed in their direction. Truly, I live for these unexpected, candid moments at faire, which not only make great pictures but great memories, too!!!
