Linda and Billy make a romantic exit from the Ceremonial Circle under an arch of swords provided by Taz's Honor Guard (Photo, right). Being so tall, Billy had to duck down a tad to actually avoid hitting some of the raised weapons!
It wasn't over yet! While Linda and Billy grasp Taz's sword with their right hands, he offers them a Germanic Sword Oath in addition to their handfasting vows (Photo, left), making them not only handfasted but oath-bound, too. With such potent oaths and vows to bind them together as a couple, we fully expect to be celebrating Linda and Billy's marriage within a year or two!
FINALLY! Billy gets to kiss his Lady in joyous celebration of their Handfasting (Photo, right). Following the Ceremony, our handfasted couple then received the congratulations of friends and wellwishers alike before adjourning to "McDane's Tavern" for refreshments. Truly, it was a beautiful Handfasting which actually brought a tear to this old seadog's eyes!
