Dragons are a delight for me. Unicorns, too! Alas, there are no Unicorns in the Magick Garden -- but they do have several Dragon sculptures therein. These two (Photo, left and below) flank the entrance to one Sanctuary. While you can't see them clearly, their scales are made from bits of cut mirror. Most dazzling in the bright, Autumn sun!

This monumental Oriental Dragon sculpture (Photo, left) guards the forest approach to the Troll Bridge. He doesn't seem too ferocious, though. It seems half the fun of the Magick Garden is strolling along the path, looking for these odd bits and pieces tucked away in the underbrush to either side...

Some of these can be downright "peculiar", like this ceramic-and-metal "tree" (Photo, left)! Others can be simply awesome, such as this all-metal tree (Photo, right) which nearly escaped my eye -- until the sun came out. Then the sunlight dancing off the burnished leaves made it appear like a true burning bush. Most dazzling! Alas, but these few pictures hardly do the Magick Garden justice. If you're coming to the Texas Renaissance Festival, be sure to take the time to stroll down this wooded path. The Garden is definitely worth seeing!
