With banners flying, the Scots Guard heralds the arrival of King Henry VIII and his Queen, Anne Boleyn, (in horse-drawn cart, at right in this photo) at the gates of Scarborough.
King Henry escorts his Queen to the city gates for the Opening Ceremonies on Saturday morning.
Other members of King Henry's Court follow the royal couple to the gate under an arch of flags and swords formed by the members of the Scots Guard.
The Scots Guard put on a brave military display, standing at attention during the Opening Ceremonies that morning.
Another view of the Scots Guard, watching the Opening Ceremonies at Scarborough...and yet another photo taken "by request of the ladies"!
