The Climbing Tower in Crown Meadow is new construction this year at Scarborough. It is probably one of the highest such towers/walls Ryleh has ever seen. Even so, that didn't seem to faze -- or give much pause -- to the throngs of eager climbers. It definitely is now one of the more popular attractions at Scarborough!
Alright, so these buildings aren't new this year. Ryleh just enjoyed their unique look: hence, this photo. At the rate Crown Meadow is filling up with new construction, it won't be too many more years before the old "Serengeti" is just another memory of RenFaires past.
Iris and Rose performed several times a day at the Lady Hawke Stage near the Jousting Field. Their bawdy songs and risque jokes always draw a full house, especially since they've added the lusty song "One-Ball Riley" to their repetoire. Of course, it certainly doesn't hurt them that the Alehouse Pub is located right next door!
First seen by Ryleh at the Louisiana Renaissance Festival, Fowl Tales premiered this season on the Whimsey Stage at Scarborough. While the routines and jokes were the same, it was still impressive to see these well-trained birds in action once again. Definitely worth seeing if you haven't seen Fowl Tales before -- and you can stand a lot of PUNishment!
