LOUISIANA RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL 2000
Saturday, 4 November
Looking down the lakeside merchants' booths, with the lake to the left just beyond the edge of this photo (above). Just around the corner beyond the double-gabled building are the food vendors. There was some Opening Day chaos at the LRF Food Court as the food vendors only had half their supplies ready...but what they had, they had in quantity! Their prices were most reasonable: the venerable "sausage on a stick" sold for only $3 and was easily a foot long, to boot. One word of warning, tho -- this is Cajun Country. Therefore, the sausage was tasty but quite spicy. It helped greatly having something cold and wet near at hand to douse the inevitable "fire"! (Photo, below: another view of the lakeside merchants, taken from a vantage point in the Children's Area across the lake).
