Pagentry opened the show as Sir Jerry Gordon, International Grand Champion in Quintain, left; and Sir Dustin G. Stephens, 1999 and 2000 reserve Grand National Joust Champion, right; introduced themselves to the audience (Photo, Left). Below: Sir Jerry, Sir Dustin and their squire pay homage to the Royal Court at Four Winds before the demonstrations begin.

Riding for the Ring, the Squire makes a valiant attempt to spear a hanging ring with his lance while galloping at full tilt! This event was most popular throughout the Antebellum South, when Romance novels like "Ivanhoe" inspired renewed interest in Medieval tournaments and jousting (Photo, Right).

Sir Jerry makes a pass at the ring, right, while Sir Dustin, left, looks on (Photo, Left). Below: Sir Dustin shows how it's done by deftly plucking the ring from its' suspending string with the point of his lance. You can actually see the ring impaled on his lance in this photo!
