Welcome Sisters and brothers to Madam Moon's
Wiccan Way
Children of the trees...is a coven that was established in MB. Canada and is
now in Ontario...
Witchcraft is a religion!
We are people, like any other, who seek enlightenment in the divine force of
the universe.. .
We see the divine force being male and female, the Goddess and her consort,
the Horned God, and recognize the expression of them in many God and Goddess
forms, as we ourselves are expressions of them. We celebrate the the eight
Sabbats, and twenty-four Esbats, in which encompass the seasons of the Earth,
the seasons of life, and the mysteries thereof...
We do NOT recognize the "devil" or any other Christianized evils as being in
any way part of our religion or practice, nor do we condone any harm to any
living thing! Also, we are not against any other way of practice or religion so
long as it brings harm to none!
This web page is dedicated to better educate the public on the truth of
Witchcraft, and bring better understanding. So merry meet! Be that you should
come on your own, by your own mind. Enter and be enlightened
Children of the trees are traditionalists.. We believe that the way of
Witchcraft follows a certain protocol and tradition. For instance, one who
practices Ceremonial Magick, Voodoo, Christian Paganism or an eclectic mix of
magical traditions, is NOT, in our opinion, a witch. Wicca, (pronounced Witcha
in days of old) means bending way. In modern times it has come to mean wise, or
in the case of Witchcraft, way of the wise, and is believed to be a predecessor
to Druidism. It seems to us that in this modern, oppressive society, that there
is a strong need to counter society's influence, therefore the word Witch seems
to be a favorite word to describe just about anything that is not Christian and
is Magickal in nature.. Although we applaud the free mind that seeks a personal
alternative to the "right way" society has taught us to live, we completely
disagree with the idea that Witchcraft is an anything goes religion. What we
consider to be Witchcraft is, in fact, a very structured discipline, and an
ancient Tradition, but not one that seeks to suppress free will, rather to
enhance it. It is a way in which to find oneself closest to the Divine Universe
by binding three levels of self into that which is in itself divine the Natural
Human diversity is great! But if you choose to call yourself a Witch, practice
Witchcraft, or you do the ones who seek the Traditional ways of Witchcraft a
grave disservice..
As Witches we seek absolute balance with the three levels of being that make
up what and who we are: ,
The Physical - That which binds us to the world, a brilliant creation
perfected by evolution, and that which contains us; without a properly working
body, one can not find balance..
The Mental - the mind; the God's greatest gift. Thought is the direction of
the magicks; when trained, it can accomplish anything..
The Esoteric - the pure essence of what we are: The Spirit.. To find this,
one must find the other two parts..
The path is difficult at best. To be a witch is a lot more than reading a
book: it is a way of life, of living, and something one can never do half
way..
THE LAW WE BIDE
The Wiccan rede is the only "commandment" we as Wiccans follow, it can and
does incorporate the law of the land. The Wiccan Rede (in the shorter, poetic
form) is as follows
Bide the Wiccan law ye must,
In perfect love, in perfect trust.
Eight words the Wiccan rede fulfill,
And ye harm none, do what ye will..
Lest in self-defence it be,
Ever mind the rule of three..
Follow these with mind and heart
and merry ye meet,
and merry ye part.
It may seem simple enough, but in truth, it's very strict! "And ye harm
none" means ANYBODY, including yourself, and to respect all things.. The rule of
three is the law of karma
("That which ye bringeth into this world, ye shall reap by three"). Why
three??? I'll go into that later..
The fact is, Witchcraft is the
religion of Wicca (the "craft of the wise" or "The bending way"). To be a Witch,
you MUST bide the Wiccan rede! If you do not, you're NOT a witch - it's that
simple.

Blessed be....Madam Moon
