I am Jim, known as 'JimsJems'. Born 1947, baby boomer generation. Graduated from Ohio Northern University with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree. Married, 2 grown sons and 3 grandkids. In my past life I taught school, was a Boy Scout Leader, Past president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, raised many different breeds of dogs, raised rabbits, and had one cat. I have traveled most of the United States and some of Europe.

I am a craftsman in the art of stained glass and rock/gem jewelry. I had a shop on the main street in town and was doing well. But that was my past life.

My new life began after I had several heart attacks. (several ? try hundreds). I have an implanted cardiac defibrillator/pacemaker that keeps my heart beating. I also have diabetes and a kidney disease. With all of that, I am very, very limited in activity. I spend about 16 hours at the computer. So anytime there are no competition votes from me, I am either in the hospital or croaked.

What has kept me going is a 'cents' of humor. I have three web sites - JimsJems Castle , HomeTown USA , and Castle Rapt . Between improving my sites, voting in competitions, site inspections, Assistant Team Leader, and writing gardening articles, I am too busy to feel sick. My left hand does not work so well, so I am a one-finger typer. (hopefully that will explain any typo's).

Music I listen to is classical, rock-n-roll (the original stuff), country, big band, elevator music, and film scores.

Television ? - Too many commercials. I think the last time I watched it was November, 1999.

If you have never seen a picture of a God-like-stud-muffin-hunk of a man. . . I sure can't help you.
