What Is Wicca?
Answer:
Most people think that Wicca is actually Witchcraft, in a way, it is.
But in a way its not. Wicca was formed somewhere around the time of the
1900's, It is a "New Era" style, based on the Old traditional "WitchCraft"
religion. Although both are pretty much exactly the same, Some Rituals
and Spells from Traditional WitchCraft has been taken out.
Do Wiccan's Worship Satan?
Answer:
I've had many people ask me this, as well as accuse me of this,
Although the Christian Religion has stated many years ago
(and sometimes even now) that Witches are worshippers of Satan,
We don't worship him, In fact we don't even believe in him. However,
this is not to say that there is not people in the world who do.
And this is why i strongly advise anyone who is seeking to join a Coven
to check their background REALLY well, Satanism is NOT a part of Wicca
or WitchCraft, Never has been, Never Will be. And those who try and do
Satanism should very well be reported to Me or the
Wiccan Pagan Alliance (Link found in the Link page) Immediately.
Whats a Coven?
Answer:
A Coven is a group of Wiccan (or Pagan) people who wish to gather
together to perform Rituals or spells together, and learn from one another.
This can sometimes be a good thing, or a bad thing to be with.
What's a Pagan?
Answer:
Pagan means "Country Dweller" in old tounge, back in the days that
Christianity was starting, all those who lived out in the country area of the
cities were still followers of the "Old Religion" not christianity, so they were given
the name "Country Dwellers" or "Pagan". Pagan is a word used by most
followers of the old religions, this includes Druidism, Wicca, WitchCraft,
Odinism, and so on.
Can I do stuff like in Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings?
Answer:
No, Fantasy Books are exactly what they are, Fantasy, Nothing more. Our
spells and rituals are effective for things like uptaining money, healing illnesses,
causing a rain storm for draughts, protection from abussive people, and so on.
We can't ride on broom sticks or throw fire balls out of our hands.
Do you guys Sacrafise Animals?
Answer:
No, Real Wicca does not Sacrafise animals. This was something that
religions did many many years ago, but not today. However, be advised that there
still will be people who insist on doing this, and i strongly advise staying away from
these people/groups.
Does Wicca Support Hazing?
Answer:
No, Hazing is illegal and any coven doing such a thing should be immediately
reported to the Police, but please, make sure these aren't just rumors or
gossip please.
Do Wiccan's Believe in God?
Answer:
Well, if you asking "Do we believe in the Christian God?" then no, we don't.
However, we have Gods of our own we worship. There are Gods and Goddesses (Female Gods),
These are the Higher powers we call upon sometimes during Rituals and Spells
to help us better project the spell to its right placings. A few
of the gods in Wicca are: Anubis, Osiris, Cernunnos, Mercury, Hermes, Odin, Thor, Althena.
I've Seen many people who claim to be Wiccan's doing drugs and drinking Alchohol,
Is this Common?
Answer:
These people can very well be Wiccan, but Drugs and Alchohol is NOT a common
practice in Wicca, in fact, its not a practice at all, Those wiccans
who are heavily into drugs and alchohol are addicts, and are using these
things for their own personal use. Besides, all wiccans like to keep their senses, to
know what is going on around them, if your high or drunk, this is immpossible
to do. These pagans who do drugs and severe alchohol are addicted, and need immediate help.
Is it Safe to let my children practice Wicca?
Answer:
As like any religion, Wicca has its things you should look out for. However,
Wicca in itself is perfectly safes so long as you do it with common sense
in mind. Me and my Wife have always been firm believers that you should
let your children deside on there own which religion to follow, For forcing a child
into a religion will only make them recent it. If your son or daughter is interested
in learning a Pagan Religion, then i suggest buying as much material for them
as possible and supporting them in their cause. The worst thing a
parent can ever do to a child is denie him or her support.
What Is Magick?
Answer:
Magick, is a form of Energy, either created from your inner self, or other Forces
of Nature or the Universe. Magick is a way to make your life a little
easier, by helping you to get over a illness quicker, or by allowing that
Bonus Check from work to come in a bit sooner. What it isn't is the stuff you
see on TV or a Movie, as i said before, we can't fly on brooms, we can't shoot a Magic Missle
out our hands or the such.
Do Witches have Familiars?
Answer:
Not like you hear in Fantasy Books or Movies. a real Wiccan Familiar is nothing more
then a pet, thats exactly what it is. They hold no purpose other then
for comfort, compassion, and companionship. They are not any sort of
"Magickally Created Beings" or the such, they are either Cats, Dogs, Bats, Ferrets,
Lizards, Snakes, and so on. Most Pagans love animals, and that is why most Pagans are
Vegitarians.
