Afganistan pics
|||Go Back|||Gore Pictures|||
This is a picture of a Marines interceptor vest of flack jacket. He took shrap metal from the IED (Improvised Explosion Device). The Hummev to the right is some of the damage that took place. The shrap metal hit him in the neck. The damage looked really bad but with correct medical attantion, all he has now is a nasty scar as a reminder of what can go wrong.

There was another marine that was injured in the explosion. He wasn't as lucky, he lost his left leg. The Marine was in such shock that he didn't even reallize that his leg was just hanging on by a peace of skin. He just thought that he couldn't move it around.

This is a picture of the outside damage to the hummve. The IED some how missed the tire completly and went strate through the back tailgate. I was almost on that hummve, we were doing a releave in place with Fox Co. So there driver kicked me out to learn the roads.

It is SOP (standered Operating Precedures) to send out a convoy after being rocket attacked. So when they went out the hages set up a trap for the hummves and luckly no one was killed. Everyday it is a battle to survie in Afganistan and Iraq.

If you wan't peace, prepare for war
This is a picture of lcpl Feilds tyring to get some sleep. I got a gift package with all kinds of Easter candy. (thanks everyone for those) Well Feilds and I got into a little scraple, so when he went to sleep, the peeps attacked.

Well Fields payed a hefty price for trying to start something with me. The peeps got some of that ass. I think he still has nightmares about the peeps. You really do have to find something to occupy your time over there. Bushmen and I would make up songs to pass the time. One of the songs was called Ocean Bottom Battle Snales. So exciting let me tell you.

The day before Ermey came he stayed with the Army for the day. Ermey was cracking jokes all day long about them. The guy is hilarious. It was a good day to take a break from all the stress of work.

I have not yet begun to fight
If you will notice the little Christmas tree next to Burza. Just some holiday cheer for the Marines on Bull Run. Thats the name of the hill they stood watch on for weeks at a time.

The only thing that was good about walking up the mountains to stand watch, was to get away from all the higher-ups(officers, staff ncos ect....) I really wouldn't know I personly never went up the mountains. My job kept me in the Hummves.

Now here was a fun time. We all gang rushed Bernard and held him down to his cot. Then percided to duck tape him. It took a little while the guy can bench twice his body weight. Very strong for a little shit.

My old man would always tell me growing up to look out for the little guys. They have nothing to lose in a fight. That stands true in this case with Bernard.

Come on you sons of bitches! Do you want to live forever?
That is me trying to drive like a retard in the middle of noware. I think that it was taken when we were doing a med cap. That is were we give add to all the sick people in towns to far away to come to us.

Half of the people weren't even sick they just wanted to get the meds. So we would hand out vitamins. They would go crazy for those to, it was pretty pathetic.

We had these old heaters in our tents, out at Asadabad. They ran off of gas but they would build up a shit load of soot. Well one day Cpl Neise here came up to me and asked if I could help him with his heater.

Neise neglected to inform me that he already put a shit load of gas in the heater. So I put some more in the spot to light the heater. Well it blew up in both of our faces, Neise got the worst of it.

No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his country."
This is how effective our WPNS Co was. They got the humvee stuck trying to show of and prove that they know how to drive in tough spots.

Well I guess the rough terrain got to them this time. They are always thinking that they are better then a regular line company. I thought that was always funny because they did about half as much work, as we do.

I can't tell you to much about this image. I found it on the internet and thought it was really cool. Small things get me excited in life, it is pretty sad.

It reminds me of the picture i took in Iraq of my squad. It was this old broken down bulding and spray panted on the wall, was 9-11 we will always remember. If i had that picture I would have put it up for you, but the camera was damaged.

The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing
I really don't know what to put here for this picture. So anyways this is in the mountains of Afghanistan. One of the rivers that we had to cross over and over again.

The sences of Afghanistan are very beutifull, unless you have to hump up the damn mountain to take the picture. I have seen alot of amasing sites in my life time.

This is outside of our huts in Bagram Air Force Base. It was an early morning very very cold outside that day. You could hear the music playing in the background of the mountians.

They would always play there music three times a day. It would get tedius after listening to it for six months. I would wake up in the morning and want to kill the guy singing the songs.

Live for something rather than die for nothing.
This Picture takes place in the lovely QRF hut (quick reaction force). Starting from the left, Cpl Miozza, Cpl Ott, Cpl Shertel, and Lcpl Kensila. Some of the best guys to serve with.

I must admit this guys tend to get a little crazy sometimes. They had to stay at the QRF hut for two weeks at a time, until they did a change over with another plt.

Doc Todd here is a little crazy. He is hanging of a Sovit Cannon, the drop was about 200ft down. You get a little board when you have to sit on top of a mountian and look at nothing for a full week.

Marines have this problem, they try to occupy there time. That envolves some crazy acts. First plt managed to make a film called Kill Bull. They named it after the op they were on and the new movie that came out Kill Bill.
