PoetryFate and DestinyDo you remember a time that I made you smile,
Do you remember a time that we had fallen apart,
Do you remember a time that fate had brought us,
Do you remember a time you knew we would be,
Do you remember a time that you were in need, |
Freewrite"Actions DealtWhat happens to you in life doesn't make you who you are. The cards you are dealt aren't the cards you have to keep. How you react to what happens to you makes you who you are. The way you play your hand determines what you are to become. I wish more people could realize that it's not all about action toward you but it's also about reaction towards the action. Sometimes I think people like to hurt and dwell on their past hurts and I hate to say it but sometimes that makes me mad. I look at my past and I thank God everyday for helping me through it. I look at the past and I'm thankful that I am who I am considering what has happened in my life and the choices that I made to change all of that. Why must people insist on holding on to the pain and not letting go by trading in their cards and reacting the right way? God's way. Yes, I know things are going to happen in life that will scar you forever, but if you let yourself be reminded of that scar then you are as much of the enemy as the scar. Life doesn't screw people, people screw people, but people screw themselves more by not playing their cards, by not reacting in the appropriate way. Maybe I'm out of line saying all of this but hey guess what. My life isn't perfect either! SerendipitySometimes I wonder why the smallest thing in life amaze me. Or at least I used to wonder why the smallest things in life amazed me but now I know. Small things are the building block for bigger and better things. You build off of small things and move up to the next level. One small thing to another until it becomes the foundation and basis of your life. I think it's amazing but not only amazing it's God's work at hand. It's the details that you and I couldn't possible see unless pointed out by God. Serendipity- the occurance and sequence of fortunate events. Fortunate events... As amazing as it is I don't think so. It's more like God's providence. If you never took the time to stop and look at your life, every aspect of it, and see how everything pieces together then you should. And after you see how perfect God's plan is and how amazing every decision and action in your life lead you to where you are. Go back and think about how you would be now if you changed one small detail. It's like a chain reaction but my favorite term for it is: "The Ripple Affect" Imagine if someone were to go back and change something in one persons life. Someone who doesn't have anything to do with you. Or so you think. What if it ends up being someone who was a friend of your dad who hooked him up with your mom and by no other way they would have gotten together. What if someone changes it to were he and your dad never knew...You wouldn't be here. Every detail in life is amazing and essential to God's plan, and no matter what you can't reck it. Just something to think about. |
