“I think not Lupin” a cold, deep voice said as he saw Remus and Harry raise their wands “Accio wands”. They watched as the pale, slender fingers firmly grasped their wands “I can’t let you leave quite yet.”

“Snape” Remus practically hissed “What are you doing? Don’t you realize what Gaz has done?” he walked to the door, his face practically nose to nose with Snape as they glared at each other through the small window. “She has attacked her own clan, and Cat is next. Why are you doing this? I thought you cared about Cat... or was that all an act as well.”

I assure you Lupin, my feelings for Catri are quite real, and as for that” he said motioning towards Fang “he is unharmed. I know how *fond* Catri is of his kind.”

“Fine!!!! You call this fine?! He is unconscious and covered in blood. He needs Pomfrey’s help NOW.” Remus insisted.

“Nonsense, Gaz assures me he is fine, it was a simple sleeping draught” Snape replied snidely.

“And the blood, is that a potion as well” Remus asked as he glared at Snape.

“The blood of a bird I believe, her lunch or something of that nature. Either way *you* are not leaving Lupin. Not until *I* speak with Catri.” he answered darkly “If you think I would allow that perversion of a man to ever touch her again, to foul her with his presence, you are very much mistaken. She loves me now, and I intend to make sure it stays that way. I refuse to allow Black to seduce her again.”

Snape smiled darkly as he saw a momentary flare of anger cross Lupin’s face “Don’t worry Lupin, someone will be back for you. After all I would not want Catri to worry about her dear friend or son. I just need you out of the way for a little while. I am sure you will find it more comfortable then when I was locked up, Mr. Lupin” Severus said as he smiled wickedly at Remus through the small window in the door. Snape turned to leave, but paused and spoke softly “I will not lose her again, not to him, he broke her heart quite enough. I deserve a chance to make her happy.” he strode off and disappeared around the corner, his long black cloak billowing behind him.

“You’re making me regret I ever freed you from the super glue Severus....” Remus yelled as Snape strode down the hall, looking for Cat. Remus let his head fall against the door as Snape walked away “The road to hell is paved with the best intentions” he murmured softly as he watched Gaz lurking in the shadows. Watching every movement and every word that had been said.

Snape paused and yelled loudly for Gaz, he did not trust that creature any further than he could see her. He had the distinct feeling she was using him for some end, but the joke would be on her. He had his own plans for Lupin and Potter, as much of an annoyance as the two of them could be, Catri loved them dearly, she had even gone so far as to accept Potter as her own son. He knew she would never forgive him if any harm ever came to them, and leaving the Garou unattended would certainly qualify as harmful. Snape waited as Gaz sulked past him, turning to look back at the deserted hall, he mumbled something as he put his wand away. “Gaz, I trust this will never make its way back to Catri.... you realize she would be furious with us both”

“Of course” Gaz replied a bit too sweetly “I would never wish to upset MacLeod, she is far too fragile for such a thing.”

Cash whistled as he walked towards Albus’s office, if what Raul and Mohrg had told him was true, it shouldn’t be long before the happy news was announced. He didn’t care what Tris said, he had seen the look in Angel’s eyes, he could tell she loved Sirius. He shook his head as he thought of the Slytherin, she may have a temporary fascination for the man, but it was nothing compared to what she held in her heart for Sirius.

Cash grinned brightly as he entered the office “Good evening Albus. Is our friend in?”

Albus looked up from his desk, covered with parchments and book “Hello Cash” he smiled happily “I take it you and Sirius are patrolling again tonight?” His eyes twinkled as Cash’s grin widened even more. “I must tell you how happy I am that you and Sirius have become such fast friends. It will make Kitty’s choice that much easier.” he winked.

“As if there was even a choice” Cash retorted “although I believe Tris may have a slightly different opinion. I take it you are siding with me?” he asked as he flopped down in a chair near Albus’s desk.

“I side with no one Cash, you know my official stance on these things.” Albus replied as he went back to his parchments.

“Oh yes Headmaster, I am *fully* aware of your *official* stance. What I want to know is your stance as her uncle....” Cash teased playfully

Albus sat down the parchment and took a long look at Cash before leaning over towards him and whispering “Unofficially, as her uncle, I have a great deal of money riding on Sirius. Not to mention a great deal of faith in the strength of their love.” he winked as he motioned Cash to go in back and find Sirius.

Cash quietly walked into Sirius’s room, he stood at the door as he watched Sirius laying on his bed, he could tell just by his breathing that he was awake. He heard a soft sniffle as they stood there in silence, furrowing his brow, Cash quickly crossed to Sirius’s bed and gently placed his hand on Sirius’s arm. “What’s this all about? I would have thought that after last night I’d have to knock the smile off of your face.” he teased, trying to get Sirius to smile.

“ Cash...” He startled at the sudden appearance of his friend. Sirius turned his head away from Cash and spoke softly “I’m sorry, it was all my fault, I was so hurt seeing them together, I never should have yelled at her, .... and then in her bedroom last night.” Sirius looked down at his feet, he felt ashamed to admit it to Cash “I wanted her so badly, I .... I almost lost control, I almost... well, .....”

“I wished you would have” Cash said loudly “It would have been the best thing for her.” he smirked as he saw the shock on Sirius’s face “What??? You think I would have been angry with you?” he shook his head “Only if she had told you to stop and you didn’t.” He said as he pulled Sirius to a sitting position, he almost laughed at the look of pure shock still plastered on Sirius’s face. Shaking his head, Cash continued “she was weak, she needed to be held, to feel love and affection. .... Sirius I know if you *would* have done anything, it would have been done with love in your heart. You would have healed her completely in one night.” Cash smiled fondly at Sirius as he stood over him.

“But Cat wasn’t able to agree or not, she was practically in a ...... Cash it would have been paramount to raping her. How can you not be angry with me?” Sirius demanded, if the situation had been reversed he would be out for blood, not encouraging the guy for the next time.

Cash gave Sirius a warm smile as he hugged him “Because I know how much the two of you love each other. And because I know your heart, and because you felt guilty enough about having the thoughts that you told me... Not exactly the actions of a miscreant, now are they?” he winked.

Sirius smiled back “I guess not, but I don’t know what to do now. I love her Cash, as sure as I’m standing here. But after the way I screamed at her yesterday” he sighed deeply “I can only hope she remembers last night, and not yesterday afternoon.”

Cash gave Sirius a huge grin “Yeah... you do seem a bit the jealous type” he teased as he crossed his arms over his chest “and that nasty, nasty temper of yours..... shame on you Mr. Black” he scowled, then added quickly “at least save it up for the right person... speaking of which.... Where is Mr. Gruesome tonight?”

Sirius tried not to laugh but he couldn’t help it “I have no idea, I’ve been waiting for Remus to come up and talk to me.... I kinda lost my temper again this morning.... but at least I lost it on the right person this time.”

“I was wondering where that split lip came from... hope you did as least as much damage to him.” Cash asked as he burst out laughing, the look Sirius just gave him was enough to make him split a seam “Alllrrriittyyy then... I’ll take that as a yes.” he grinned as he threw his arm around Sirius’s shoulder. “Come on... we can patrol and look for Remus at the same time... who knows, maybe we’ll find Angel as well”

Harry shook his head as he looked up at Remus “I don’t think this is birds blood, he’s out cold, and he’s really banged up too. I think Gaz did something to him, look at his face.”

Remus bent down over the unconscious Fang and gently touched his cheek “You’re absolutely right Harry, and I’m willing to bet she did this after she gave him Snape’s sleeping potion. I can’t imagine she could have beaten him in a fair fight. We’ll have to get your mum to look him over when she gets here.”

“She’s on her way? But how?” Harry asked with astonishment.

“No.. I can’t use my mind like that, maybe if I were dying she would sense it, but the simple truth of the matter is, we are in no danger. And unless someone is actively searching for us, we are here until Snape shows up with Kitty.” Remus explained as he did his best to make Fang comfortable.

“Why would Snape bring her here.... wouldn’t he want to keep this from her?” Harry asked “I mean, he and Gaz tricked us down here and then locked us away.”

Remus sighed as he nodded in agreement “This is true, and the only possible way Snape has out of this is to bring her down here after he has his little *talk* with her and prove to her we were never in any harm whatsoever. Because if she so much as *thinks* he did anything to cause us harm,... Harry your mother has a wicked temper and the strength to back it up. She’s taken down Malfoy on at least two occasions, and you saw what happened to the dementors and deatheaters” Remus suddenly grinned brightly “Snape wouldn’t stand a chance.....”

“Cash! Cash! Wait, I have news..” Olia yelled as she ran down the hall towards Cash and Sirius.

“Olia! Where have you been, you were supposed to have reported in at sundown!” Cash snapped, the worry evident in his voice “After last night I thought I made it excruciatingly clear that the childer are to travel in groups.”

Olia nodded as she held up her hands “You did, and I’m sorry, but we think we may have found the spy. At the very least we know who she is, we just have to locate her.”

“Start talking puddin’, and make it fast.” Cash said as he and Sirius gave her their undivided attention.

“The twins came to me, they can still sense Gaz, so can I.. She’s still here on the grounds, she’s avoiding us, and she has a stench to her...” Olia began to explain.

“Fang told me Gaz left two days ago, she refused to uphold the alliance....” Cash insisted “Fang may have his faults, but he *is* loyal to Angel. He would die before he’d betray her, he was ashamed that Gaz had faltered, he thought I would hold it against his clan.”

Olia nodded, “But Fang is missing, he would *never* desert his clan. Something has happened” she insisted “the twins are besides themselves, they can’t sense Fang, but we can sense Gaz’s thoughts and as of sundown, she was inside the school...”

Cash’s face darkened “Olia, summon the Clan... tell them what you know, then go to the Garou, I want them to search every inch of the forest. Sirius and I will start with the school, tell the Clan to join us....”

“Shall I tell Angel? She will want to know..” Olia asked

“Not yet, she’s still not as strong as I would like” Cash answered sharply “if it comes down to it, she will find her way to us, she always does.” Sirius and Cash looked at each other and instantly transform into their animal forms and started the search......
