The Warriors Valley
Wulfred Kerne

Wulfred asks, "might I tell a tale that may bear some relevance?"

Kahrla nods to Wulfred.

Wulfred recites:
"Once near where I was born there was a valley.
the valley was cold and high but the soil was good
many creatures foul dwelled in the valley and in the mountains about it."

Wulfred recites:
"It happened that a small band of settlers came to this valley.
They fought the creatures and tilled the soil

growing strong in battle and rich in field"

Wulfred recites:
"After many years others came to share in the wealth.
they built a city and invited the warriors to live there
for their homes were warmer and their walls safer."

Wulfred recites:
"Few seasons passed before their sons began to marry the women of the city,
for the women of the city were soft and their houses comfortable.
And their daughters began to marry the sons of the city for they had many
fine things."

Wulfred recites:
"But then, the creatures returned in new force and fell upon the valley
the fields were burned and the city sacked, for only a few old warriors remained

to defend the valley and its inhabitants."

Wulfred says, "That is my tale though poorly told for still an apprentice am I"
