All In a Moment
It was a cold, windy day, and Remus, Sirius, Peter and James were extremely glad they were inside next to the warmth of the fire, not out taking classes like their fellow students. The Marauders, as they called themselves, had quite happily skipped Care of Magical Creatures, and had hidden themselves in their retreat, hoping Professor Docwra wouldn’t notice their absence.
“So,” said Sirius jovially, “What are we going to do for the rest of the lesson? There’s no point not going if we’re not going to do anything.”
James’ eyes opened wide in shock. “No point? Padfoot, old friend, it’s winter outside! Take one step into that bleak weather and you’ll freeze your balls off!”
Peter, the smallest of the group, chuckled quietly to himself. He loved to listen to his friends bait each other; it was more entertaining than listening to boring teachers droning on about unimportant dates…
“Peter? Did you hear me?”
Peter looked up, clearing the thoughts from his mind. Remus had asked him something, and now his golden eyes were staring mildly into Peters.
“I…I’m sorry,” he stuttered, “Did you ask me something?”
Remus smiled at him kindly. “I was just asking you what you would like to do. After all, Wormtail, we never seem to include you in our pranks.”
Peter smiled shyly. It was true, he was often left out of the fun they had, sometimes because he was the butt of the joke. But he bore it with good nature, even when they teasing became a little extreme. “Er…why don’t we…play a game?” he suggested lamely. James rolled his eyes.
“Yeah, great idea Wormtail.” He said sarcastically. Peter’s smile fell.
It was strange, really, the way the word ‘Wormtail’ from James could bring his self-hate and despair crashing in on him like that. It was meant to be a nickname, but somehow the way James said it made it seem more like a cruel joke. Remmie had always been kind to him, and he didn’t know what he’d do without Sirius, but James had always made him feel…small.
“Prongs, be nice,” admonished Remus gently, “I think it was a good idea.”
James pouted and crossed his arms, but said nothing. “What are we going to play then?” he almost sneered.
Sirius grinned. “We could make up a game.”
Remus rolled his eyes. “I’m sick of making stuff up; can’t we just play something?”
“Hey, what about Spin-the-Bottle?”
The other three boys stopped and stared at Peter. He withdrew into himself, curling up into a ball. “I only meant that…”
James raised an eyebrow. “Wormtail, I never knew you swung that way.”
Peter whimpered. Remus grinned. “I think it’s a good idea.”
“You would, Moony.”
“An interesting…experiment for us all. After all, we’re in sixth year now, it’s about time we had some sexual experiences that are unusual. It’s what the Marauders are famous for!”
“Sexual experience?” queried Peter timidly.
“No, things that are unusual.”
Sirius shrugged. “Why not? It could work.”
“Why not? I’ve got a girlfriend, that’s why not! I can’t believe you guys are actually considering this!”
Sirius sighed. “Oh, don’t worry about Lily, she’ll still respect you in the morning. Besides,” he grinned teasingly at his best friend, “We all know you’ve done it before.”
James flushed a bright red. “I’ve had enough of this. You guys can play if you’d like; I’d rather be cold and outside, than in here and…” he shuddered.
“Aw, come on Prongs, don’t be a spoilsport!”
“Yeah, it’ll be fun!”
James reluctantly seated himself. Peter tried not to let his disappointment show on his face; it would have been a lot more entertaining with just Remmie, Sirius and him. “We don’t even have a bottle!” complained the irritable James. Sirius looked at him.
“Never question genius, Prongs,” said Sirius as he flamboyantly waved his wand, and between the four Marauders there appeared a gleaming crystal bottle.
“So who’s going to spin first?” asked Remus, a hint of mischief in his golden eyes, “I do believe that since it’s your bottle, Padfoot, that you--”
Sirius squirmed a little uncomfortably. “Well, it was Peters idea…”
Peter let out a nervous squeak. He had never kissed anyone before. He reached over and put a shaking hand on the bottle. “Spin for me,” he whispered, and the bottle rotated faster and faster until it was merely a blur of glass. Then, quite suddenly, it stopped, the neck pointing unmistakably at Sirius.
James let out a loud laugh that quickly turned to a cough after his friends glared at him. Remus allowed himself an amused smile. Sirius was speechless, a rare occurrence.
The fourth and youngest Marauder crawled over to his friend. “I guess that means I get to kiss you,” he said softly. Sirius nodded once, and Peter leant forward and let all his dreams come true.
He felt soft lips against his, pressing firmly, and he shut his eyes and let the sensations overtake him. Peter felt Sirius’ tongue venturing cautiously into his mouth, and let it in, the sheer pleasure causing him to murmur in delight. He ran one hand through Sirius’ long shaggy hair, and the other encircled his waist. He felt Sirius’ arms, strong and hard from all his Quidditch practice, enfolding him like a warm blanket. All in a moment he lost his sense of time and space.
Of course, this stopped when James pushed between them. “Okay, guys, that’s enough!” he cried, a little shocked.
“What’s wrong Prongs, are you jealous?” asked Peter, his voice sensually husky. James’ eyes narrowed and he tried to spring at Peter.
Remus came forward and grabbed his friends arm. “James, we agreed we were going to play; you realize what Spin-the-Bottle is?”
James nodded curtly. “Yes, I do, but I didn’t think that it would involve…” he motioned to Peter and Sirius, who were still wrapped in each others arms. Then he rose to his feet, and left, his actions convincing them this was no joke more than his words could ever do.
Remus too got up, and sent a look of apology to his other two friends. “I’d better go after him; he does get a bit temperamental sometimes, and I don’t think he wants to see Sirius right now.”
Remus left, and Sirius pulled back from his friend.
“I’m sorry.” Peter said sadly.
“For what?”
“I…I thought you…didn’t like it…”
Sirius looked at him in surprise. “No, I was just reflecting on what a git James can be. Sometimes he’s almost worse than Snape.”
Peter giggled. “I don’t think Snape would have agreed to play Spin-the-Bottle.”
Both the boys burst into laughter at the thought of Snape doing anything remotely sexual. Then Peter grew serious. “Sirius…Padfoot…did you like it? The kiss, I mean.”
Sirius looked him directly in the eye. “It was the best kiss I’ve ever had, Wormtail my friend.”
Peter looked away, the blush spreading up from under his collar and onto his face. “Well, then…would…would…you like to do it…again?” he stammered nervously.
In response, Sirius breached the distance between them in a lunge and with a growl he caught Peters lips to his. The small round boys last thought before ecstasy overtook him was; I can’t believe it is Sirius!
Then he was being kissed everywhere, on his neck, his belly, and then Sirius was removing his robes, and Peters robes, and kissing him in altogether different places. Peter moaned as Sirius took the entire length of his cock into his warm, wet mouth, and began to move. Peter thrust his hips forward, wanting more, and Sirius complied willingly, moving his mouth harder and faster until in a sudden rush Peter came with a mind-numbing orgasm that felt like a bolt of electricity to the brain.
“Is that what it’s like to have sex?” he asked Sirius afterwards, “With a girl, I mean.”
Sirius grinned. “Nah, I think that beats girls any day.”
Peter took his hand. “Sirius, what about you?”
“What?”
“Well, don’t you get to…you know…” Peter was embarrassed, and couldn’t meet Sirius’ beautiful brown eyes.
This time Sirius actually laughed. “What, you want to do that to me?” Peter nodded enthusiastically. “Well, no, Peter, I have a better idea. Turn over.”
Peter was unsure where this was going, but did as his friend said. He worshipped Sirius; who was he to question the mind of a god?
He felt Sirius climbing on top of him, urging him into a kneeling position. Then he kissed the back of Peters neck, and whispered; “This might hurt a little…”
Whatever Peter had been expecting, it wasn’t what he got. He gave a little squeal as Sirius entered him, but the pain was soon overcome by the intense pleasure and fulfillment he felt at having Sirius inside him. He moved his cushioned bottom a little trying to get Sirius to push deeper, and when his friend realized what he was doing he began to pull out. At first Peter didn’t understand, but when Sirius pushed back into him again, then repeated the procedure, Peter groaned happily. He felt Sirius’ ragged breathing on his neck, and his arm curled around his pudgy stomach, and his erection driving into him. After a few minutes of beauty and trust, Sirius came, pulled out, and turned Peter around.
“How was that?” he asked, his broad smile almost splitting his handsome face in two. Peter didn’t need to reply; the look in his eyes said it all.
Sirius began to pull on his roes, and urged he younger boy to do the same. “Prongs and Moony will be back soon.” He said matter-of-factly.
“Are we going to tell them about…us?” asked Peter faintly. The four boys told each other everything, but this would stretch the bondof friendship a little too far. Sirius seemed to agree.
“No,” he said contemplatively, then seeing the hurt look on Peters chubby face, he added; “But that doesn’t mean we still can’t love each other…I just don’t think James should know.”
“Remmie?”
“Remus knows already. Why do you think he left us alone together in here?”
Peter grinned, and made a mental note to buy his werewolf friend a large present. “I…I guess it seems silly now…after what we just did…but I’ve always wanted to tell you, Sirius…”
He didn’t get to finish. All in a moment, James Potter burst through the door, black hair tangled, eyes red, and stopped dead. Before long, Remus appeared behind him.
“You see, James? I told you not to worry, that they wouldn’t do anything of that sort,” he winked at the wide-eyed pair on the floor, “They obviously just sat here and talked.”
James shot a glare at Peter, and sat down between him and his lover. Peter was filled with loathing; he knew if he was less of a coward, more like his other friends, he’d punch James in the nose right now. But he knew that would make Sirius angry, so he didn’t, but if there was any other way to get revenge on James, one that wouldn’t result in the wrath of his two best friends, he vowed to himself to take it, no matter how low it seemed at the time.
There was a long bell, and Remus let out the breath even he didn’t realize he had been holding. They all got up. James left quickly, claiming he had to meet Lily in the library, and Sirius had a detention to go to. So Remus and Peter were left standing in the small room together.
“Thanks,” said Peter shortly, and turned to go, but Remus caught him by the arm.
“Did you…?” he left the question hanging. Peter nodded coyly, and Remus let out a bark of laughter.
“It’s about time! I’ve been trying to convince Sirius for months now to…”
“Sirius had a crush on me?” asked Peter, dumbfounded. Remus nodded.
“Everyone knew; except you, that is. James was jealous; he was Sirius’ lover for a time.”
“Yeah, I sort of figured that. Once again, thank you Moony.”
“My pleasure.” He said, reaching over and giving Peter a fond hug, which he returned warmly.
Peter thought again about telling his friends what he and Severus had been discussing the other day, but thought better of it. Snape had been hassling him to join one group or another, and Peter didn’t want to say no. Today he had been planning to ask his friends to brush Snape off, but he was so content…he didn’t want to disturb the peace.
Oh well, he thought to himself as he walked with Remus to lunch, What could come of not telling them?
Sirius motioned them to sit with him and James. “Peter,” he said, “What were you going to say before?”
“Oh, nothing,” Wormtail replied airily, “It doesn’t matter now.”
Sirius put an arm around him, ignoring glances from the other table. “if anyone, anyone is bothering you, they’ll answer to me first, okay? Just…tell me if something’s wrong.”
Peter nodded, Sirius smiled, and the four boys tucked into their lunches.
